Miriam was so attentive, fun and always remembered your drink! She deserves a raise 💰🙌🏻
Pros The hotel overall has a clean nice feel to it, very spacious if you like big hotels. Attractive grounds and in the best location of Costa Adeje on the seafront. Main pool area at front facing sea, the other further back into the hotel and heated, still outside. Lots of available beds and very comfortable. Staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent, lots of choice available and I’m quite fussy. The gymnasium is probably the best I’ve ever been to in a hotel. The only machine they could do with is a preacher bench but that’s just me being picky. There’s an inside and outside gym area which is quite unique. Evening entertainment was good. Particularly Clarence Stanley, look out for him, he was amazing! Cons Not many to be honest. The drinks are a bit pricey compared to prices outside hotel area, bars, restaurants etc, but I guess that’s to be expected. They’re not tight with the measures so there’s that. Aircon wasn’t that great but I believe restrictions have been added to prevent hotels dropping the temperature too low so not sure if this was the reason.
The staff in the pool bar are first class great service and very attentive and added to what was an enjoyable stay
We’ve just returned from our third stay, and once again, this hotel has completely exceeded expectations. I travelled with my husband, our 3-year-old son, and my in-laws—and genuinely, there is something here for everyone. From the moment you arrive, the attention to detail is clear. The rooms are immaculately clean—we stayed in Daphne this time and were treated to a stunning sea view overlooking the little cove. Housekeeping is wonderfully flexible too; you can have your room serviced as often (or as little) as you like—just leave a note on the card and they’ll take care of it. Now, the food and drinks—absolutely outstanding. Having stayed in many all-inclusive resorts, I can honestly say this one goes above and beyond. No “bare minimum” here—just premium, proper drinks, an impressive selection of wines and cocktails, and thoughtful touches throughout. My son was obsessed with his daily Colada Jungle—so much so that he’s been asking for them ever since we got home! The buffet restaurant is exceptional. We don’t even bother with the à la carte options because the buffet has everything you could want—always fresh, fully stocked, and spotless regardless of when you dine. The live cooking stations are a highlight, offering three fish and three meat options cooked exactly to your liking, right in front of you. During our 10-day stay, we were lucky enough to enjoy two lobster nights and two sushi nights—easily our favourites! Service is another standout feature. There’s never a struggle to find a table, and the staff are incredibly attentive—always ensuring you have a drink, the right cutlery, and even a steady supply of those “magic wipes” (essential when your child discovers the chocolate fountain!). Poolside service is just as impressive. There’s plenty of seating options, and while the heated pool is understandably popular, it never feels crowded. The pool bar serves delicious poke bowls, which were a refreshing change from the usual fries and wings you often find elsewhere. Afternoons became a bit of a tradition for us—we’d head to the main pool at 3pm for bingo or the daily quiz. The entertainment team is phenomenal, working tirelessly from morning to night to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We especially loved the ping pong and French boules tournaments! What really sets them apart is their warmth—they greet you at meals, check in throughout the day, and genuinely make you feel at home. Evenings are just as lively. After the kids’ disco, there’s a different show each night in the mall, alongside live music in the lobby bar. Some evenings even feature casino nights, so there’s always something to suit every mood. This trip was a little different weather-wise—we experienced unexpected rain and wind (rare for Tenerife in March!). But even then, the hotel truly shone. They adapted brilliantly—opening indoor spaces, setting up a games room and cinema, and organising extra workshops complete with a complimentary buffet. It’s this kind of effort that really sets them apart. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the kids’ club and play areas. There’s currently a lack of toys, and the outdoor 'play park' feels quite worn. The same goes for the lobby area—there are lovely ideas (train tracks, play kitchen, puzzles), but they’re incomplete or missing pieces. A refresh here would make a huge difference. That said, I can’t finish without giving special recognition to some truly exceptional staff members. Katy and Andrea from the entertainment team are simply incredible—their energy, enthusiasm, and genuine passion are infectious. They go out of their way to connect with guests and feel more like friends than staff. And finally, Aramburu in the restaurant—what an absolute gem. My son is usually very cautious around people, but she took the time every single day to gently build his trust. By the middle of the holiday, he was blowing her kisses and even winking at her—and on our final day, he gave her a hug, which is huge for him. That kind of kindness and understanding is something you can’t teach—it’s just who she is. We’re now home, battling a serious case of the holiday blues… and already planning our fourth visit—yes, it really is that good. No review can truly do this place justice—you simply have to experience it for yourself!
Stayed in the Salome for the 5th and as always we have had another excellent stay. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much. The lady manager and her team always look after us. Mosi in the Poseidon restaurant us a credit to the hotel.
Another great week at The Anthelia. We decided to go all inclusive upgraded from half board as we were offered a great deal at reception and this worked well for us -you can use the other restaurants with a good percentage off the menu price - all drinks were available apart from champagne which was fine with us as we like Cava and Prosecco anyway ! A big thanks to Susie and staff on reception - Susie our room was amazing thank you - all the staff are brilliant-thanks Oscar and team in the bars (pool also) you really did look after us. The hotel location is amazing - we prefer del duque beach to fanabe and there is a really good shopping mall 5 minutes away ! We have been many times to this hotel and we will be back.
This is a lovely hotel in a quiet area near Fanabe / El Duque with pleasant walks in either direction. There is a boutique shop within the hotel which stocks beach attire and other essentials. Our room was spotless and in a nice location overlooking a quiet pool with a distant sea view. The food selection at breakfast was very good. The grounds and garden areas of the hotel are beautiful and well kept. Staff were helpful, room servicing good and frequent. Would hope to return at some point.
We just had the most fabulous holiday here. Room was great, buffet was lovely, bar was great. The pools were fab. The kids club was amazing - the staff were kind, attentive and the activities were really varied. The staff were so enthusiastic - the disco was fab and the Disney night. We recommended to a friend and they’ve booked already.
The meal tonight at the Portofino was outstanding. The service from Jonathan and team was fantastic. Great night, thanks.
The hotel location is excellent. Direct access to the promenade in a nice part of Adeje. The staff were excellent too. We booked half board so had the buffet at both breakfast and dinner. Really enjoyed the choice and quality of the food. The desserts at dinner were my highlight. I'd say that the dinner was probably the best hotel buffet I've had. Some people comment in general about buffet food being cold but we didn't find that at all. The hotel has numerous chilled water dispensers in the accommodation blocks. Excellent idea. However, why is it we are then charged for water in the restaurant when it's available free elsewhere? After the first night I took my refillable bottle in with lovely chilled water from just outside the restaurant. Common sense? The reason for not rating 5 star was the room - a duplex suite. Great that you have two toilets and two balconies however maintenance was an issue. We notified reception of three issues and only one was rectified during our week's stay. Also, it was sold as a double room but we had two single beds pushed together with single sheets and duvets. Not what we expected.
It’s really not worth the money, the hotel is looking tired now, the carpets along the corridors are old and dirty looking, reception area and parts of the hotel look very old fashioned, the food in the restaurant was lovely but was only Lukewarm, if you are a couple or group of adults looking for a relaxing holiday, you might not get it, as there is a lot of toddlers, I love children but while relaxing all you can hear is little ones screaming, there are 4 pools, 3 of them are for children and the other pool would be ideal for an adult only pool, but no there was a lot of toddlers screaming, I wouldn’t rate this hotel as a five star, would avoid if you are looking for relaxation
Love the Iberostar brand having stayed at Gran Tacande many times thought I would try the Anthelia, pleased I did. Charming receptionist at midnight on 28 February after 12 hours of gruelling travel (flight redirected to Agadir for 5/6 hours ugh). Informed I had been upgraded from side sea view to double sea view and the west facing view I had requested had been so kindly fulfilled! I upgraded to All Inc from Half Board for 302 Euros and so pleased I did. Mini fridge so well stocked, as was coffee pods, red wine etc. Buffet food disappointingly COLD or lukewarm at best but cooking stations superb providing hot cooked fish/steak etc so stuck to that. Cold buffets were superb, sushi, lobster, smoked salmon, prawns etc. Salads, cheese platters, bread etc all equally sumptuous. Breakfasts fruit bar/juices bread etc super as always. STAFF were without exception WONDERFULLY helpful and kind. Room sadly cold and other guests complained of not being able to put heating on. Will book again directly as not good value through Easyjet as long transfers so 5 days out of 7 enjoyed. Great trip ... thank you Anthelia. Julie x
Very good service in the rooms and thanks to David and the guys at the restaurant, the food was excellent.
Amazing holiday from start to finish the food is fantastic and all the staff so friendly, Danielle and Miriam looked after us so well around the pool bar, we can not wait to return
Amazing hotel and staff, the food has been really good, we came all inclusive. Can’t wait to return, Danielle and Miriam have looked after so well around the pool bar
Fantastic hotel, service was exceptional and staff was very friendly. Mirian and Daniela looked after us daily and made our experience unforgettable.
Staff so friendly and helpful especially the to girls Miriam and Daniela . Great with the children .
My stay was for about three weeks in February. There is not one person working here that isn't willing to help, or that doesn't have a friendly approach towards their guests. From checkin to checkout and even after. The people working at the reception all speak proper English, and often other languages. Every single one of them receive you with a friendly attitude. Upon entry I was welcomed with a free drink and they had my bagage delivered to the room by default. Extensions of my stay were always handled without any issue. Even when the hotel was booked full, they managed to fix something and had me stay in the same room, as requested. They accepted cash and creditcard (I haven't had to try any other payment options) The food they serve is of good quality and has a wide variety in options. At breakfast there's a lot of sweets for those that like it, but also plenty of healthy options. You can dine inside or enjoy your food in an open area outside. The workers in the restaurant don't always speak English in a way that you can hold a conversation, but they all control the basics at least. They will be able to understand, and they're always on the move to keep the place clean. My room had all the basics one could need. The room itself and the beds were cleaned daily. They do a daily round by your door to ask if you want some extra towels, minibar refill, or simply to hand you some chocolates. If you're sleeping in the morning, they will come and clean it in the afternoon. At all times they will respect the 'do not disturb' sign if it's on your door. Issues can always happen in a complex as big as Anthelia is, but they were all fixed almost instantly, at all times. When I had some water leaking underneath the shower door past 23.00 they had someone mop the floor immediately and bring fresh towels as soon as I notified reception. No attitude, just service. When they notice a defect in your room during cleaning, they will proactively get maintenance to get it fixed. Another time I thought my airconditioning was broken as the controls did not work at all. They had 2 maintenance guys showing up to fix it right away. Again after 22.00. It turned out the controls to the airconditioning don't work when the doors of your balcony are open. That was a quick fix and a good laugh. Again, no attitude from either of them - just service with a smile. The TV comes with international networks: Spanish, French, English, German and Dutch from what I've seen. The TV also comes with a chromecast by default for some personal entertainment of your own choice. The live entertainment outside I'm usually not a big fan of, but from the balcony I could enjoy them trying to hype up people quite a few times. The room is very well sound isolated when you close the balcony door, so the sound really shouldn't bother you if it's not your thing. On every hallway there's free filtered water. There's a gym in the complex that's freely accessible 24/7 and is equipped with quite a lot of options actually. Not just the typical threadmill and bicycle, but also for weightlifting far beyond a few dumbells. Laundry service is completed within 24h. The only improvement I could suggest is to lower the prices on laundry for socks/underwear. It's cheaper to buy new ones than to have them washed. All in all I have my own home now on Tenerife, but if I ever need a hotel again it will surely be Iberostar Anthelia! Thank you for the good time.
The Portofino restaurant should be of high calibre, we booked 5No days in advance and were really looking forward to a nice evening with some nice food. The service staff were very tentative but the beef lasagna was awful, disgusting, vile, appalling, it looked okay from the outside but the first mouthful was luke warm and then in the middle was cold. The staff tried everything to stay and have another serving but it was too late. The evening was ruined so we left everything on the table and reported straight to the reception. As of writing this some nearly 24hrs later we have heard nothing from the hotel. To make things worse we ordered 1No plate of fries and literally before the mains came out we were told no chips / fries , really !!!!!!!!! 5* I don’t think so
What a fantastic hotel! We’ve visited Tenerife so many times and been fortunate to stay in a lot wonderful hotels but this hotel exceeded every one. I could break the review down into why I enjoyed specific aspects of the hotel but I would run out of space. There wasn’t a single area, be it pool, entertainment, cleaning, bar choices etc that we could fault. Two things I will comment on though. Firstly, the food. Absolutely outstanding! The choice and presentation was first class every night. Secondly, the hotel staff. I feel this was a huge factor in our enjoyment. The staff at this hotel seem genuinely happy to work there and appear to make it a personal mission to give the best service they can. A huge thank you, in particular to Felix, Ines, Katherin, and Alicia in the restaurant and to everyone else we met. We look forward to returning soon.
Perfectly positioned hotel enjoying panoramic views. Staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. Special mention to Pherimena who word at the main pool bar.Rooms are very comfortable. Only downside is the glass doors into the shower and toilet rooms… but fine as long as you know your bedroom partner well We upgraded to all inclusive on arrival and although not big drinkers we are throughly enjoying all the meals (choice and quality is fabulous) and the range of drinks. Plenty of daytime activities and have enjoyed the evening musical entertainment and had a dance. No reserving of sunbeds here as there are loads. Main pool is heated and then there’s an even warmer smaller pool. Hoping to return next Jan. Looking to return next January.
Service was amazing. Breakfast was best I've had. Parts look a bit dated, but experience there makes you oblivious to this. Our room was lovely. Shower out of this world. Great restaurants in the area and walk to La Caleta is lovely. Easy to get a lounger and they were so comfortable. Attentive staff around the pool. Great activities and tasteful entertainment like flamenco dancing and choice of 2 venues every night plus casino - really good. Highly recommend. Have stayed at other 5 star hotel in the are, but this ones service and food and drinks topped it. Hope to return
An excellent hotel that provides nice rooms, good staff service with good amenities. The buffet restaurant serves a good comprehensive breakfast coupled with good service. The service around the pool area is good and reasonably priced. We dined at the Portofono Italian restaurant and had an excellent meal with great service without it being over booked. The position of the hotel is great for dining out of an evening in the nearby FaceTimes along the beach area. Would recommend a visit to both couples and families.
Fabulous as ever, every thing excellent, staff lovely and can’t do enough for you , the food is amazing , bar staff by the pool Iria and phlerina absolutely amazing
Outstanding fantastic and brilliant what more can I say, loving it myself and traveled the world in the past few years, from Singapore to LA and Australia, this has been the best hotel we've stayed/resort so far, a special mention to Phierina who looked after us pool side, fantastic service with a smile.
Excellent service from Phierini around the pool, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for her. Also the entertainment team were good at engaging us playing darts.
It’s a very nice hotel. Location is superb :) a breakfast is really good , very nice atmosphere:) service was outstanding, everyone from breakfast staff to pool staff :) our favorite was Iria ❤️what a beautiful lady and so lovely :)she is doing her job so great :) we will definitely come back ❤️
Super hotel Superb customer service Had a lovely stay The hotel is located on the beach front and has lovely relaxed atmosphere; nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Our pool waitress Phierina was particularly great and attentive x
Phierina a very very nice person, she is very friendly, she was always ready to help me. We were satisfied with her job. Beautifull locasion
Pierinha Wonderful waitress, friendly and lovely. Service excellent, a pleasure to know. Iria was very helpful………..
Fantastic hotel! Service, food and drink is amazing! Phierina was exceptional and always serves you with a smile at the pool!
The hotel is outstanding. Very grand. Service is wonderful. The rooms are simply furnished. I had no bedside table and there was only one drawer for clothes in the wardrobe. Everything else about this hotel is beautiful though and it serves one of the best breakfasts I’ve encountered.
Welcoming easy check in was great and helped by the complementary Cava. The hotel is old style luxury in its design. Lots of shiny marble, wood and taught iron. Our room was modern and spotlessly clean. I loved the rainfall shower. Lovely large flat screen tv and balcony. The breakfast buffet was bountiful, the handmade pastries especially delicious. We never were left waiting for coffee which is a great plus. You’re left with the whole pot. The pool areas are stunning with three outdoor ones to choose from. My favourite part of our stay was thalmost daily arts and crafts workshops which were fabulous. I made a recycled glass necklace- a treasured memory of my stay in Tenerife. I really enjoyed it! Thankyou for offering these activities. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family and would be back in a heartbeat.
We have been to the Anthelia 5 times and enjoyed it every time. A great hotel in an excellent location with very friendly staff.
lovely hotel , great food , entertainment is good - from singers to acrobatic team Debre Behren who were brilliant !! I recommend changing to all inclusive as we worked it out & cheaper if you like the bar in the evening , Its a great atmosphere - staff lovely from the minute we walked in being greeted by lovely chap to take our bags -it feels 5 star to me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For the first time we had Christmas away and chose this hotel, and wow, truly incredible from arrival to leaving. On checking in you realise the traditional splendour of the hotel and are greeted so well by the reception team and staff. We had a duplex suite which was superb, 2 separate rooms , both with bathrooms and balconies with views across the pool and bay, very comfortable, all amenities provided and so clean, which the lovely housekeeping staff kept immaculate during our stay. One point that should be mentioned, is the room came with a water jug which you filled up from the many dispensers in the corridor, doing away with all the plastic and glass bottles many hotels provide and waste. The pool areas are well kept, very comfortable loungers, and you are attended to by more outstanding staff , the large pool was heated , several other pools in the complex so you don't feel crowded, which was another bonus, plenty of activities going on around the main pool and a fun Christmas show poolside! We opted for All Inclusive, be ready to exercise and diet on your return. The food in the buffet was outstanding, spacious and light, again, excellent staff and probably the best food we have eaten in any hotel from a buffet, fresh, so much choice and quality and the Christmas gala dinner was just amazing. Evening entertainment was varied in either the bar by reception of the theatre and of good quality, if the Motown tribute is on don't miss it. Location is perfect, walk through the immaculate grounds to a gate that leads to the promenade, easy stroll to beaches and harbour/shops/bars/restaurants, out the main entrance and yards from a quality shopping mall. Another plus is the plentiful free parking for guests. You also have a very helpful team working in guest relations who are available by email or phone to help you pre arrival and during your stay ( special thanks to Abel who did so much for us). In summary, absolute perfection, so much so we have rebooked for the summer. once again, sincere thanks to all the incredible staff in this beautiful hotel for making our Christmas extra special .
Fabulous location especially towards Caletta (turn right out of the back of hotel). Lovely promenade to walk on. Lovely atmosphere with a good mix of ages from young families to older generations! Staff seem to be happy and enjoying their jobs. Our rooms had a side sea view which was lovely. Although the hotel is fairly expensive, the food is absolutely amazing - probably the best I’ve had in a buffet restaurant so well worth the money. So much choice and very high quality. Rooms and communal areas were always super clean. Lovely small warm pool as well as and lots of good activities to choose from. Amazing to get away from the English weather - will definitely return!
This hotel as the most amazing staff.. Phierina is one of my personal favourites. Shes happy and extremely attentive to all our needs all the time around the pool. The hotel is clean with amazing choice of foods & high end alcohol and restaurants. The panoramic views are breathtakingly beautiful . The entertainment team are also amazing . It’s definitely a hotel that you want to return to
This hotel is beautifully located with a stunning view of the sea. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Everything is very well maintained, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The food and drinks were excellent — high quality, well prepared, and truly enjoyable. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a beautiful seaside setting.
The location of the hotel is perfect, situated a stones throw away from Del Duque beach and shopping centre with a short walk to restaurants and bars. We arrived earlier than check in and was offered a drink and advised that our room would be ready within the hour. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very attentive. The hotel throughout is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We opted for a duplex room. The room itself was a little tired but nothing that you would complain about, the bathrooms were very spacious and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The view from our room was exceptional!! There is no water in the rooms as this is provided by water fountains of which there are several on each floor - I personally think that this was great and a far better option than bottle water as its ice cold. (recommend you take a reusable bottle) We opted for breakfast only as we like to go out and about. The selection at breakfast was exceptional and the food was delicious. We spoke with other guests and they said that the food at dinner was also great. I think next time we would opt for half board just for convenience on a couple of nights. We don't have small children but from what we saw the kids club was full on and looked lots of fun. The hotel do activities for older children and adults - my daughter did quite a few and really enjoyed them. Big thank you to Laura who we did the resin activity was, she was great. Pools - There are a number of pools, we opted for the salt water pool over looking the sea. I was slightly warmer than the none heated pool but was still cold. The staff - exceptional service through out our stay. All staff are friendly and attentive and are happy to help with anything. All in all this was a great holiday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. This will definitely be our go to hotel when we visit Adeje as there was nothing to fault at all.
Fantastic hotel, great location. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was vey comfortable the balcony was garden view but it had a sea view as well so was very happy.
This is not a 5 star hotel. Parts of it are, but some parts are like an old motel - see my pictures. We experienced several other problems: Ice cold “heated” pools too cold to swim in; my 5 year old was shivering and hardly anyone used it despite the weather being mid 20s - the sea was warmer! This was a major blow as my daughter loves swimming in the pool. On entering the buffet restaurant you give your room number, then several more times throughout your meal staff would randomly approach you and ask for your room number again, then ask you to confirm your name. It created an atmosphere of airport security rather than a relaxing dining experience and was very unsettling. And it’s completely unnecessary given we were always asked for our number on entering the restaurant. Our double room was small and basic with no separate bathroom - just cubicles for the shower and toilet and sinks in the hall immediately behind the front door. No drinking water in the rooms, you have to walk the halls to the nearest water filter and fill if up yourself every day. There was a coffee machine in the room - great! But the coffee and milk were both disgusting so that it was unusable. The only poolside snack food included in the AI deal was essentially low quality junk food; cheap hotdogs, crisps and chips. Everything else was extra. This is cheap and unhealthy. Most of the staff were excellent, but some were awful. Barbara at the buffet restaurant was very rude and arrogant and never failed to make us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable on both arrival and departure. The hotel was also a bit soulless. The entertainment was not great, ranging from the worse magician I’ve ever seen, some terrible “science” experiments for the kids (tumbleweed), a tragic Father Christmas, a tiny fake ice rink which was a complete waste of time, a very average musician, and so on. This is not a 5 star hotel. It’s 3 or 3.5 at best.
We share the hotel for several years and even now Iberostar Anthelia is for us a place where we feel "I'm coming home". So nice garden, large swimmingpools, tasty buffets, comfortable rooms and a very good service. Special mention for the friendliness of all staff. We are looking forward to visit Anthelia again in 2026.
The service from Phierina was amazing, she was so helpful! She would always ask us if we needed anything and we never had to ask her! Thank you
After visiting Costa Adeje for the last 8 years in a couple of Hotels decided to try the Anthelia. Wow !!! So happy we did , had a top floor family room with Sea View It was a lovely room with amazing shower and kept spotlessly clean every day , even alerting you on the app that it was serviced. We were on half board and have to say the food and service was first class, amazing amount of choice. We also tried the Italian restaurant on site , again fantastic experience and you get discount . The pools and grounds are impressive and entertainment is very good. This was the best holiday we have had since we started visiting here !!! The Hotel and all the staff made this such a wonderful experience We have booked a return visit in August 26 and are already counting the days Well done Iberostar Anthelia 🙌 We
Cannot fault this hotel. We stayed for 5 nights as a family of 4 in an interconnecting room which we recommend. Check in was easy with staff more than happy to help and provide information regarding the hotel. Our rooms were extremely clean, spacious with everything we needed. The hotel has everything you need, we stayed a week before Christmas and found pool areas were never over crowded and all well maintained. The kids club and areas were exceptional with loads of fun activities which our 6 year old enjoyed. We opted for all inclusive which was worth it. Food on offer at all meals provided a wide selection with a good offering of wine. All staff we encountered were fantastic. Definitely would return and stay again.
Fantastic hotel, great location Friendly and helpful staff Room very well equipped And comfortable Only had bed and breakfast
Stayed here to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary & hotel gave us a welcome card, a bottle of cava & yummy macaroons in our room. A lovely gesture. On entering hotel foyer, you're greeted with gorgeous aromas. This hotel is vast with lots of little quiet areas & gorgeous grounds. There is a back exit directly onto footpath to beach & restaurants and shops. Our room was huge, big comfy bed & sea view. All very modern & bright. The only downside is washing facilities are within room, so if staying with someone not close to, there is a lack of privacy. We stayed B&B, with a huge choice of food. Hotel is spotless throughout, although foyer furniture has seen better days. Choice of several swimming pools, 2 of which are heated, absolute bliss. Plenty of comfy sunbeds. Evening entertainment was fantastic. However, odd having 2 great acts on at the same time. The main concert venue is self-contained but finishes 10.15pm, starts 9.15pm, the other venue is outdoors and finishes 10.45pm due to rooms nearby. Why not swap timings. Drinks pricey. We loved it here & definitely will return.
Stayed at JOIA Salome - inside Anthelia. Great sea view suite. Bath temperature pool. Fabulous breakfast and friendly attentive staff 5*
The welcome we received upon arrival was exceptional—perhaps the best we have experienced to date. It is unclear whether this level of attention was due to our status as repeat guests (this being our second visit this year and fifth overall to Iberostar) or if it is standard for all visitors; regardless, we felt truly valued, so thank you. However, our restaurant experience did not meet the high standards set by previous stays. On our first night, the waiter made an error with our wine order and, after a ten-minute delay, brought the correct bottle but left it unopened in the ice bucket. As a result, we finished our meal before he returned, leaving us without a drink during dinner. The overall service that evening appeared frantic and inattentive. Service quality improved throughout the week but remained inconsistent, with some excellent interactions and others less satisfactory. The food offerings were diverse and changed daily, with fish and steaks prepared fresh to a high standard. Regarding dress code, on a previous visit, I was asked to change from shorts to long trousers for dinner, which I appreciated as a clear policy. This time, however, multiple gentlemen were permitted entry wearing shorts and open-toed sandals on several occasions, suggesting a relaxation of previously enforced standards. Consistency in enforcing these expectations would be appreciated. The room was comfortable and serviced daily. The main pool area was well-maintained and the staff there, particularly Phierina, consistently greeted guests with warmth and positivity, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere each day. One point for consideration: please reconsider the approach to requesting guest feedback. On our final morning, we were repeatedly approached at breakfast to complete a survey via a tablet that frequently malfunctioned, and staff passing by encouraged us to "give five stars." We encountered further requests while relaxing by the pool with a final coffee, which felt intrusive during our last moments. It would be preferable to request feedback mid-stay or prior to departure, rather than at the very end. Overall, despite these concerns, our stay was highly enjoyable and comfortable, with many positive staff interactions. We look forward to returning soon.
A lovely hotel with 5* experience! Fantastic staff, great child-friendly facilities and can’t complain with the December weather. Would definitely come back.
Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. I’ve been to 4* hotels in the area before but this was my first time at a 5*. It did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, everything was spotless and every member of staff was a credit to Iberostar, all lovely , polite and professional. The pool area is great, (the 2 main pools are really cold, but there is a smaller heated pool), never had any problems getting a sunbed, I think we went on a quieter week. The animation team were all lovely and worked really hard, some really nice things to do each day. I had the basic double room which was nice and we found the hotel lovely and quiet over night. It is a large complex so be prepared for getting your steps in. I wouldn’t hesitate returning there, and there were a lot of visitors that had been there many times
Phierina and her colleagues at the pool bar provided a 6* service in this fabulous 5* hotel. This was out 5th winter vacation and were already booked again for December 2026.
This is not a 5 star hotel! I am extremely surprised that there are so many highly rated reviews for this accommodation. Yes, the waiting staff are great but that’s it. The rooms and hotels condition is extremely tired. The front of house staff are untrained, most are placements that are dropped in without any experience. This place is very overpriced.
This hotel is amazing the best we have ever stayed in. The service is first class. All of the staff no matter what department they work in, couldn't be more friendly. Our room was beautiful, over 2 floors, spotless and spacious. The food was fabulous, always something different to choose from every night and day. We will return.
Super resort, with great location on seafront of ADEJE, but in own private grounds. Staff were very helpful. There is plenty of parking contrary to their website which says there is none. Good restaurants and nightly entertainment(s). Only criticism is that they allow smoking on bedroom balconies which when in adjoining balconies is unpleasant, and in fact smoke could be smelled in hallway outside bedroom doors. "A" block is recommended - close to reception and entertainment.
Everything about this hotel is of a really high standard. Its location is excellent. The room we have is perfect, watching the sunset with a glass of cava is great. The variety and quality of food is guaranteed to suit all tastes. All the staff are amazing, from reception, to room attendants, dining room and entertainment staff. Jordi, one of the management, has been particularly friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, and everything is done with a smile. We will definitely return in the future.
Fantastic hotel. The service around the pool was second to none, we were mainly served by Ezequiel who was brilliant and made our day time so enjoyable. The whole place is spotlessly clean and you can see that there is always work being done to keep things as they should be. We had breakfast only and it was 10/10, staff, food, atmosphere was great. The only downside was I think there should be more free water around the pool area. I would highly recommend this hotel to family or couples as there is something for everyone. Location is great and there are great restaurants outside of the hotel within walking distance if you want to go out which we did most nights. Deserves its 5 star rating. We will be back again
Leaving a review 3 days into our stay is unheard of however feel this is a must because of the service we have received thus far. Hotel rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. Here to celebrate a 40th birthday and the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure our celebration has been first class. From an ungraded room & small gestures such as cake and cava in our room has made our stay memorable and will ensure our return in the future. Special mention to Johanna at the pool bar who has been welcoming, warm to our 3 year old & ensuring our drinks are brought swiftly and taste amazing. She has been so helpful at answering any questions about the hotel and activities and always has a smile and lovely nature. Staff at kids club have been great with our Daughter who is often shy with strangers, they have been welcoming and engaging bringing her out of her shell and encouraging her to join in and have a great experience also. There is a full itinerary including kids disco, yoga, shows and live music. Something for everyone. 10/10.
An aesthetically pleasant looking hotel, disappointingly let down by its highly defensive management and 3.5/4 star service. To add to the let down, you cannot give constructive feedback without being accused of being the only person who has ever done so. This is despite their specific request FOR FEEDBACK. Toys immediately out of the cot when anything negative is mentioned, and silent treatment 🤣. Beware of little people with fragile egos. But, back to the actual hotel - all that glitters certainly is not gold. Do not be hoodwinked by the “bargain all inclusive offer” on check-in. It’s an absolute scam to get you tied down to not venturing out while enduring basic food, beverages and service. Caveat emptor. You’re better off exploring the island and avoiding the cheap cava (which is policed as if it were dom perignon). The rooms are comfortable, unless they house you in the block called “Aida” and you were hoping for a quiet night’s rest. Get ready for the wedding singer-style noise. As for all-inclusive meals - get ready for “Hunger Games” cruise ship buffets. Acceptable for those who are accustomed to cruise ship levels of service. Not for the faint-hearted, or indeed luxury seekers. Basic, at best. Hugely disappointing otherwise. Oh, nice sea views.
Beautiful hotel with clean rooms, tasty food and great views out to the sea. Only a short drive from the airport. Many thank yous to Mirian at the pool bar who nothing was too much trouble for and would never let you have an empty glass!
Second visit to Hotel Anthelia and can honestly say it is definitely 5 star. From the friendly reception staff to the cleanliness of the accommodation, variety of food, entertainment and abundance of facilities for all ages it is defiantly a fantastic place to stay. All the staff are highly motivated to ensure your stay is memorable. Highly recommend.
Fantastic hotel we come here 3/4 times a year. Food , pools etc great as always . Special mention to Mariam who is amazing around the pool nothing too much trouble and always makes sure you can relax and have what you want a true asset xx
Fantastic hotel in a great location, just 25 mins from the airport you enter the grand foyer to be greeted by the first of all the amazing staff that you will encounter. The food in the main dining hall was the most amazing buffet with all that you could want. Plenty of activities and entertainment to enjoy, spotless throughout a real joy to stay. Special mention to Mirian at the pool bar who goes the extra mile to make everyone welcome 👏
Location great - near to everything but nice and quiet. Rooms well designed and modern. Staff all lovely. Breakfast exceptional
Decided to come back to the hotel after visiting back in June, yet again another great trip lovely to see Mirian and Armando again, nothing was too much trouble for them, they are credit to the hotel, all the staff are so friendly. We will be back again in 6 months.
Arrived here at the Iberostar Selection Anthelia what a fantastic hotel, rooms great pool and sunbeds excellent.Service in reception, breakfast and pool bar fantastic special call out to Ella at the pool bar always smiling.professional and nothing too much trouble. We have been coming to Tenerife for over twenty years and always stayed in the Golden Mile in Playa de Las Americas but this hotel for location, facilities and service (well done Ella) takes some beating,
We have stayed in costa adeje for many years, so its the ideal location if you want the quieter part rather than las americas, which is still only a 40 min walk on the coastal promenade, but we thought we would try the Iberostar for my 50th birthday reading the recent reviews, knowing that it was a 5star and pricey but only started offering All Inclusive in the last year. there are pros and cons to this hotel and areas they can certainly improve on, which wouldn't be to troublesome, lovely entrance hall and reception and greeted with a smile and cava, but nothing much explained knowing we were new to the hotel no map etc. there seemed to be no dress code for evening meal, which was unusual. Front of House in the restaurant, could guide the cliental to their tables so the waiter staff would know who to serve drinks too, instead of being sat there for 10mins before someone noticing you hadn't been served. also being asked for your room number frequently when being served drinks in the restaurant and bars, which was quite annoying as you had to give it on entry of the restaurant anyway. Variety of food was good, quality meat but wouldn't state amazing on choice, buffet style hot counter was never that hot! just luke warm thou, lots of chef's replenishing trays but no one taking temperatures. It was disappointing to find the Italian wasn't open on my actual Birthday so ended up going out of the Hotel. We did eventually book the Portofino Italian as it was the ala carte restaurant which was lovely and staff were great. We stayed in a Duplex Room C425 which was lovely but no sofa on first floor just a base and one chair so you couldn't lean back as it was against a muralled wall. it was clean and spacious but the cleaning staff missed cleaning cups and glasses or replacing the tea bags, found towels where wearing thin, no extractor fans in the bathrooms. Didn't use the Mini bar as wasn't sure if we could or have to pay for it as not explained. the decor seemed a little tired in areas. Room cards maybe could be changed to chipped brackets so someone would only have to scan this to have all the information about the person/room no./also be the key entry to the room. this is something the Princess Guayarmina has and it works. Entertainment was great, having a separate hall works well. both pool areas are lovely, nice to have waiting service at main pool the right hand side gets more attention than the other thou, limited snacks on the menu for all inclusive expected more if you didn't want to make lunch in the main restaurant. We used the Spa for a Joint Message and that was great.
Proper luxury but still warm and friendly. The grounds are stunning, the food is unreal, and everything feels polished. The rooms are big, the pools are beautiful, and the whole place has this calming, classy energy without ever feeling stuffy. A high-end gem.
This hotel experience from the service to the food was excellent, the rooms were kept very clean the shower was amazing and all the staff always made sure you had a full drink, they serve the best quality food and drinks, I never go back to a hotel twice as like to try different ones but will definitely be back to this one next year for my birthday.
It was my first time at the Anthelia and it's been amazing. The rooms are spacious and modern and they come in to clean them every morning and check in on you in the afternoon. There is a wide variety of food on offer and it's all delicious. There are several pools and you can always find sunbeds to lie on. Some areas are quieter than others but even then it's pleasant. The entertainment team is fantastic. They organise loads of different activities and you definitely shouldn't miss the shows they put on in the evenings. The staff at the pool bar are great, special mention to Mirian who kept us well stocked on drinks and food. Will definitely come back again!
What a fabulous hotel… a really relaxing break… a fantastic location right on the seafront. Rooms are spotless, staff very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Miriam at the pool bar, what a little gem she is, always with a smile!. Would definitely come back without hesitation.
We have had a great time at this resort. The room, food and staff have all been lovely. Especially a big thank you to Miriaw and Daniela for their terrific and kind hospitality around the pool.
We have just had a lovely 10 night holiday at the Anthelia, we thought the hotel was a little tired, having said that i would still recommend this particular hotel. I have got to mention the pool bar attendant called Mirian, she was absolutely fantastic, really friendly and attentive.
We've had a lovely and lazy break, the room was spacious and very clean. Great breakfast although we didn't try the hotel restaurants as we went to local places ( easy walk and lots of variety at good prices). We did enjoy the lobby bar in the evening and of course the pool bar. I used the gym but didn't make use of other amenities ( all of which looked fun ). Our only criticism is the glass door on the toilet!!!
Amazing staff and experience . Friendly and caring about every need and want.Would definitely be returning with our family.
2nd time at the Anthelia after an amazing first visit in June 2024. We upgraded to a sea view room when booking but it was more like Tree view when we got to our room in the Electra side room 5318. The reception staff moved us the next day to a much better view in the Carmen side room 3204 and the view and balcony size was much better. The room was spotless and the maid kept it like this throughout our stay. the fleece blankets at the end of the bed are a great touch as I’m always cold of an evening. All areas of the hotel, restaurants and communal areas are well maintained and cleaned throughout the day. We upgraded to half board and the food was out of this world, a real variety of dishes such as rabbit, partridge I wouldn’t usually come across, in addition there was fillet steak, full chickens, turkeys, an allergy station for gluten free etc… it was the best food I have came across in a hotel in my life. The staff are ALWAYS helpful and polite, nothing is too much trouble. This is up there with my best hotels in the world. It is walking distance from shops, bars, the beach etc. The entertainment is great also. One thing I would say is that I ordered a mocktail and that was €9… when it was the same price with alcohol in, I think this should be a reduced price when the alcohol hasn’t been added. This is definitely a luxury hotel and I would recommend this to anyone, couples, families etc
Fantastic Hotel great service and Daniela and Marion at the pool bar were absolutely stand out. I would recommend anybody to come to this hotel and the service around the pool area particularly is exemplary.
Fabulous experience. Mirian, Beatrix, Daniela, Laura were all fantastic hosts. Would recommend this hotel over the many I have stayed at in Adeje over the last 5 years.
Amazing stay, beds are super comfy. Staff all really friendly especially Daniela at the pool bar and Laura at the arts and craft was amazing. A lovely glass of Cava whilst making glass necklaces, candles and soaps all free. What a great time to spend meeting new people creating amazing things . Really not arty at all. Breakfast so varied lots of choice great quality food. Staff really great. Will be back
Incredible hotel! The staff are extremely friendly. The staff at the pool bar are extremely kind and amicable. Ezequiel, Amelia and Amero (the manager) have looked after us, and made our experience absolutely amazing. You should definitely give them all a pay rise!! We come here every year and will definitely continue too!!
First class hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, with excellent facilities, friendly staff, exceptional food and most commonly international branded alcoholic drinks.
Just returned from a five night stay at the Anthelia with husband and three children (5,6&9). Location is perfect, lots of restaurants, bars, shops and walks all on your doorstep! Every staff member we encountered were helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Swift check in. The porter who took our bags to our room was brilliant and let the kids have a ride on the trolley which they loved. Big shout out to Miriam who served our drinks around the pool, great interaction with the kids and always so helpful and happy! We stayed b&b and enjoyed our breakfast every morning. I wouldn’t overly rate the food served around the pool area (it was just convenient for us with the children) and think this could be greatly improved for a 5 star. We ate out of an evening so can’t comment on the restaurants. Nice touch with the magic carpet out for the kids in the afternoon. Loved the water aerobics, mainly because it was nice to have some music and atmosphere around the main pool. Kids went to the kids club for the first time ever one morning, all staff were brilliant and great with the kids. Weather was gorgeous-hitting 30 degrees in November. The hotel did get quiet towards the end of half term, with mostly babies/toddlers and older couples. This was our first holiday that we didn’t go to the entertainment/kids disco. We did pop our heads in on the way back to our room one night, looked good fun with lots of little ones dancing but it was in a great big dark room and not where I would choose to spend my evening-especially with such gorgeous weather of an evening (no jackets were needed!). Small incident on the last day when a child had an accident in the main pool which was evacuated and sealed off for the remainder of the day whilst they had to clean and treat the pool. The manager did come round to explain the situation afterwards and let us know the pool would be closed but two of my children were left in the pool and not told to get out, it was my eldest who told me about the situation as she thought she had been told to come out but wasn’t sure. I had to go get them out myself not knowing what was going on. It wasn’t entirely clear as it’s not a packed out pool and sometimes you’d have it all to yourself so I’d not realised something was wrong. Not the hotels fault and unfortunately these things do happen but do think a swift evacuation of ALL individuals immediately is required. Our room was a connecting room which was perfect for us, the room never bothers me as we spend very little time there but had everything we needed. Chocolates on the pillows at night-the kids loved (although two nights we didn’t get these but I’m sure if we just asked they would’ve happily given us some!). Five nights was long enough for us personally, enough time to wind down and chill but I think any longer and I’d be ready for a change but that’s just personal preference. Would I return to this hotel, yes absolutely! Very relaxing stay, great service, staff and super location. Thank you all at Anthelia!!
We visited for 9 nights 5/10-14/10, best hotel we have ever stayed in, absolutely bliss, food, rooms and the pools are amazing especially the quiet heated pool, Loved it so much we have booked to return may 2026 but for 12 nights, location is perfect and the staff go above and beyond, 5* all the way
Best holiday ever. Miriam is the best bar lady! All the staff are super helpful. The food is great. The drinks are also amazing!
If you have a straight forward booking with no issues during your stay, this is a perfectly acceptable hotel. The hospitality & room staff are really nice, there are copious sea views and there's always something nice you can find to eat at the buffet. If however, you need to make a change to your booking, have travel problems getting to the hotel (hence arriving late) or if you have maintenance issues in your room that are not during the working day, don't expect even a modicum of good will from the management or even basic customer service. Everything is geared to getting guests to spend as much money as possible. Even tap water at dinner is 3.5 euros per small bottle. According to the hotel web site if you request top ups of coffee or tea in your room then these are chargeable. I'm so glad we brought our own. In short, our precious family celebration was marred by a series of issues which were left unresolved by the hotel management. It would have been so nice if we'd all wanted to return next year. Sadly this is not going to happen
Excellent stay Check in smooth and efficient. Welcome drink was nice and great you can choose what you wish. Our duplex room was spacious and modern with lovely sea views. Bathrooms all well equipped with lots of amenities. Beds very comfy. Breakfast was something else. Probably the best we have ever had. So much choice and the quality was very high. The staff at breakfast were so efficient and hard working. Special mention to Alicia who ran after me through the hotel after I forgot my bag. We used the smaller pool which was lovely. The staff in the bar work very hard to meet all the guests needs. Sun beds do get reserved but no real rush by guests which is a nice change. The hotel is very clean and all areas well maintained. Location is excellent because of direct access to promenade. Would stay here for sure if in Costa Adeje again
I love this hotel! I have visited many times and it still ticks so many boxes. Fantastic location with direct access onto the promenade, beautiful well kept gardens and great choice of rooms within the various buildings of the hotel. Regular and good variety of entertainment on offer in the hotel theatre. There was also a saxophonist playing poolside one day which was very pleasant. I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as a friend was staying nearby so on this occasion we met up and ate out in local restaurants. I have stayed on a half board basis before and enjoyed the food very much. A huge variety to suit all tastes. I always have spa treatments when I stay here, they are wonderful! The hotel is fabulous but special mention to the staff who keep the wheels turning and work tirelessly to ensure that guests get the best experience. Thank you to all staff for a lovely week and see you the next time!
Fabulous food, beautiful pools and surroundings, excellent gym, and lovely staff. We really enjoyed and would recommend.
This was our 2nd time at the Anthelia and we had a great experience. On arrival we were offered refreshments and a wet towel to freshen up. Jordi introduced himself and we were immediately made welcome. We stayed again in Butterfly with a beautiful sea view looking onto the pool. We were pleased to see that since last year a door has been added to separate the bedroom area from the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and huge and was pleased to see that it wasn't individual beds for once. The cleaners/maids were very efficient and friendly daily. The pool and surrounding areas are kept immaculate and we enjoyed the many seating areas dotted around the whole complex. The Zeus Restaurant had a varied choice of food, so there was something to suit everyone's dietary requirements. The waiters and waitresses are so friendly and having heard that it was my birthday, surprised me with a cake and candle and Aramburoo and Humbert sang happy birthday - I was very touched by this gesture so a special THANKS to both of them. And when I returned to my room there was another cake and candle waiting from the hotel staff which again just made my day so thank you very much to all. The staff at reception was very helpful in organising hire of a mobility scooter which allowed us to see a lot of the coastline. The entertainment in the evenings was excellent, especiall enjoyed the live shows in the Mall. We will definitely be booking for a 3rd time - can not wait!
I'm writing this months after our visit as we have already booked for February 2026. Everything was perfect! We had bed and breakfast as we knew we would be eating out a lot as meeting friends. This was by far the best breakfast I have ever experienced. I could not believe the choice and extremely please seeing healthy and different dietary requirements. Our duplex room was spotless, the reception staff, restaurant staff and bar staff were friendly and very attentive. All amenities, yoga, facilities and entertainment looked great and I'll be making more use of them next year. Unfortunately, I injured myself quite badly taking part in a pool game. This was totally my own fault (I should act my age of 54 and not my shie size of 7!) & spent the last 2 days in a wheelchair with a torn hamstring. The staff could not do enough for me, concern shown, help given and complimentary room service which was greatly appreciated. I repeat that it was my own fault and not that of the hotel. We are so looking forward to next February but I'll be taking part in more suitable activities for my age 🙂.
Last minute booking via Jet 2 to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. We arrived late at night due to a delayed flight. The hotel was beautiful. Staff were pleasant and attentive with us being offered a complementary drinks on arrival. although we would have appreciated it being pointed out where we could get some food, as with it being a long day we didn’t realise room service was available. This was realised by us the next day when we’d had some sleep. The room with a garden view was basic for a 5 star but had everything we needed. It was very close to one of the pools which was great. The room was cleaned daily with new towels, face clothes etc being replenished. Our stay was bed and breakfast basis. we were offered an upgrade to half board but decided against this as we like to explore the area. The area the hotel was situated in was great, near the beach and local shops and restaurants A lovely touch much appreciated was on our wedding anniversary while we were out the hotel staff decorated our room and left wine and chocolate coated strawberries for us. It was such a nice surprise for our return. Although I had mentioned our 25 wedding anniversary several times, We really didn’t expect much fuss Thank you so much for a lovely stay.
Amazing place so friendly big shout out to Mirian and Daniela we loved it everything you need for a family holiday, sun, great food, great location !!
Beautiful resort and views to see! So many things to do whilst here, my little sister loved the kids club!! Mirian was an amazing staff member who treated us with kindness and service was attentive and brilliant! Thanks so much from all other staff with a special mention to daniela as well!
Fantastic holiday. The service was amazing especially from Miriam and Daniela they looked after us so well. Would definitely recommend loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Overall disappointed with my experience at Anthelia Rooms were in need of an upgrade , no air conditioning for first 3 days as they tried to fix an issue, crack on shower base, stains on floor and bed valance along with a nice army of ants that regularly visited us. Reception staff paid us lip service Bar staff were great at both pool and main bar area breakfast staff though efficient could do with some customer service skills and occasionally crack a smile. Pool beds were probably the only thing that would justify a 5 star rating mat this hotel. Despite advertising a late checkout I was told they couldn’t offer us it Also no courtesy rooms available which is particularly poor in my opinion.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a comfortable, seafront hotel with excellent staff, this is the hotel for you. This gated hotel with beautiful grounds has an excellent location right on the coastal path through Costa Adeje. Our seaview room was comfortable, very clean and regularly restocked with nuts and drinks. The bathroom set up was unusual but worked well. The buffet food was fantastic; very fresh and presented beautifully. There were cooking stations for meat and fish and pasta dishes and the deserts were amazing. The Italian restaurant was excellent, I recommend having a meal or 2 there. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sunbed availability and the seawater pools were lovely and clean. The sunbeds are cushioned and very comfortable. The drinks service around the pool is friendly and frequent. The hotel is decorated in a typically Canarian style with palm trees, earthy tones, terracotta and pretty painted tiles. My only criticism would be that some of the soft furnishings and carpets in the communal areas need replacing. So, if you're looking for an ultra-modern style hotel, this isn't for you. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and, fingers crossed, hope to return for another stay next year!
We’ve just returned home to England after staying at this hotel for 11 days in Mid-October. We’re a family of 4 (parents + 2 in their 20s) and we stayed on half board. I’ll delve into more details below but, in short, we highly recommend this hotel. The grounds are spectacular, the staff are excellent and the food is wonderful. You won’t be disappointed. Food In the Zeus buffet restaurant, the array & variety of food is unbelievable. We found the quality to be excellent and thoroughly enjoyed pretty much everything we ate. The meat/fish stations where they cook to order were fabulous and they were a great opportunity to chat to the chefs, who were all incredibly friendly. Chef Marcos in particular was lovely. The waiting staff were equally awesome - attentive and with a good sense of humour. Thank you to Cesar, Jamile, Alexis & Roger for looking after us. We genuinely looked forward to all of our meals. I am gluten-free and the majority of food was labelled clearly so I had no problems finding suitable food. We didn’t try the other a-la-carte restaurants. Room/Facilities We had side sea view rooms with balconies. They were very comfortable, clean & well maintained. The layout of the bathroom is slightly unusual in that there is no real ‘bathroom’, it’s kind of open-plan. The shower door is frosted, as is the toilet door, so it’s not a huge privacy problem but takes a bit of getting used to. It might be different in other room types. Anyway, kudos to our cleaner, she kept our room beautifully clean. Entertainment We’ve never really stayed at hotels with daytime activities before so we’re unsure whether this would interest us or not. Safe to say, these guys made my holiday. During the course of our 11 days, we took part in numerous art & craft workshops, fitness classes, waterpolo, football, yoga, quizzes and much more. We also attended a few of the evening entertainment shows and these were great fun. Thank you to Katy, Laura and Danny in particular - it was their friendliness that kept us coming back everyday. Management We met Guest Relations Manager, Jordi, many times during our stay. A couple of days before we left, we did experience an isolated incident. When we raised the issue to reception, Jordi attended right away and was swift at investigating and handling the situation. When he found the cause of the problem, he explained this to us and apologised profusely. He was sure to check on us for the remainder of our stay. We enjoyed all our interactions with Jordi, he was very approachable and professional. Tip! Take an empty water bottle or reusable cup. There’s water filters around the hotel for you to refill from - we loved this! Thanks again to the Iberostar Selection Anthelia for a wonderful holiday. We hope to be back again soon.
Had a fantastic week in the hotel. Clean and comfortable with lots of great activities. Pool bar service was very good with a special mention of Mirian - super attentive and always happy and very hard working!!
I stayed here with my husband and two kids (13 and 3) for a week. The first night we had a flood in our room so the hotel upgraded us to all inclusive, changed our rooms and gave us complimentary late checkout. The staff were very friendly and professional and made evert effort to deliver outstanding customer service. The restaurant is by far the best bit of the stay. As someone who has a very serious allergy to gluten, I have to say I have never had such an amazing experience while eating out of my own home. The manager of the restaurant introduced me to the head chef who walked me around the whole floor explaining how and where to find gluten free food (was very straightfoward) the variety of choices of what to eat was fantastic and they even allow you to make "special requests", for example I had a gluten free pizza (fabulous) and they even made me Chinese food!!! (Best part of the whole holiday for me as someone who cant eat normal food) which was a main, a noodle dish and a side of my choice. Thank you to Felix the manager and the head chef!!! You are all amazing!
