Reviewed Sep 19, 2026It gives you the feeling of staying in a quaint inn in the village. The courtyard and beer garden are lovely for a nice drink. Room has all the basic amenities, and the staff are very friendly. It also offers a nice, fresh breakfast in the morning.
It could have been a little cleaner.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026外観から内装まで、コッツウォルズの良さが詰まっていて最高でした。モートンインマーシュからもすぐで、コッツウォルズの村へ観光に行くのに立地もかなり便利。ホテルにいた犬が可愛くて、たくさん触れ合えて嬉しかった。オーナーの方々もとても良い人でした。朝ごはんが美味しくてボリュームもあったし、特にヨーグルトとはちみつが美味しかった。石造りの建物に泊まりたかったので、私の好みにピッタリで本当に楽しく良い気分で過ごせました。部屋の水回りも布団も全部とても綺麗です。
悪いところはひとつもない。

The room was an odd shape so felt smaller than it really was. It was downstairs, so a bit of noise from upstairs guests. Very dim lighting.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026We had a really lovely stay at The Bell. The room was small, but had everything we needed (including a Nespresso machine!), the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good. I had mentioned in our booking that we were celebrating my birthday, and the staff had left a birthday card in our room, with a note saying there was a drink behind the bar for us both. This was such a lovely personal and generous touch, we really appreciated it. The courtyard is a lovely area and we spent ages out there with our drinks, people watching, dog fussing and pizza drooling! The hotel generally is in a great location, right on the High Street and there are lots of places to eat within a stones throw (but the menu in the pub itself also looks great). Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we even met the owner who took the time to really talk to us and took an interest in us and our lives which again was just a lovely personal touch. Finley the pub dog gets his own mention just for being such a good boy!

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026We logeerden hier al eens eerder, na een overtocht met de boot. Het is ongeveer een half uur vanaf Harwich. We hadden dezelfde kamer als de vorige keer, de Jack de Ripper kamer. Iemand op het kerkhof naast de Inn zou een van de mogelijke Jack de Rippers zijn. Dit is overigens niet waar - hij was de lijfarts van kroonprins Edward en later ook van koningin Victoria. Het was erg warm de nacht dat we er verbleven, maar er stond een fan op de kamer, heel fijn. Het ontbijt de volgende ochtend was weer erg goed.
Midden in de nacht begon een alarm te loeien. Omdat ik verder niets hoorde van andere gasten, het bleef doodstil, ben ik zelf in pyjama op straat gaan kijken wat er aan de hand was. Was het een inbraakalarm, een brandalarm? We wisten het niet. Het meest vervelende vonden we niet dat we wakker werden van het (achteraf loze) alarm, maar het feit dat we niemand konden bellen. We zochten op onze kamer naar een telefoonnummer, maar er was niets. Dat vonden we eigenlijk wel een kwalijke zaak. De inn is 's nachts onbemand, maar je moet toch als gast iemand kunnen bellen als er iets aan de hand is? Het alarm ging na ongeveer een kwartier uit, maar we hebben nog zeker een uur wakker gelegen. Het was vervelend dat we niet wisten wat er werkelijk aan de hand was - dat hoorden we pas de volgende ochtend bij het ontbijt. De kamer is flink duurder geworden tov de vorige keer dat we er sliepen, zo'n 30 euro. Dat vonden we best een fors prijsverschil met drie jaar geleden.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026We booked the Hayloft, a very big room at the end of the Courtyard. Clean, comfortable, nicely-furnished and well-equipped, but also bags of character. The Bell serves an excellent breakfast. It is in the town centre and other pubs and restaurants are within a short walk. The Bell also has a number of excellent beers on tap.

Breakfast good and cooked to order, must mention the gorgeous Golden Doodle dog , all the guests love and who just sits and lays in the bar
No allocated car park so had to park on the street but so did most guests in Moreton in Marsh staying at various hotels,pubs.

Reviewed Jul 30, 2026Lovely pub however food don’t bother to eat there the food is terrible, waited for an hour and after half an hour of waiting told the food that i ordered that there was a problem and that i had to order something different, the sandwich’s arrived which was disappointing, bread was dry, salad was bleak and just leaves and tiny spoon of coleslaw and the tortilla chips were tasteless, i wouldn’t recommend staying here for food

Small things like windows locks when opened them came off in your hands. Not fully clear where to go when we reached it. Manager was outside not helpful at all when she saw us looking where to go. Also when reporting a fault as soon as it happened you don’t expect ‘how the fuck did that happen’. Bit more professionalism.

The atmosphere is definitely 'casual' at this public house of Moreton-in-Marsh and is a favorite for locals as well as travellers. Special 'shout out' to the warm and wonderful Ozzie for taking such good care of us, Inn-Keeper John, and his huge and mellow dog 'Finley' for their hospitality!

Great garden with amazing live music from Wildflower Whisky before heading in for the football. Lovely food and drinks and very friendly. Loved it! Will be back :)

No limpiaron la habitación adecuadamente. A la cama en lugar de tenderla, solo la estiraron. Ni se molestaron en arreglar los almohadones ni almohadas. El baño tampoco lo repasaron. Había un cabello pegado en el azulejo cuando llegamos y permaneció estoico nuestras 2 noches en el hotel. Tener en cuenta que no hay aire acondicionado ( aunque hay un ventilador que nos salvó de las noches de calor)

I was disappointed with the check in - I had kept the Bell informed of our progress but on entering I had to wait in Q with the customers waiting for drinks at the bar while husband waiting to know where to park etc. it was not most welcoming start. Thereafter the service was great

Si dorme benissimo sia per la comodità del letto che per il silenzio e la pace del paese. Grazie a tutto lo staff che ci ha fatto sentire a casa e ci ha servito la colazione un po‘ prima. Birra ottima, musica il sabato sera dal vivo. Abbiamo amato molto il cane.

Reviewed May 25, 2026My room was very bright, the bed was very comfortable and water was provided in the room. I couldn't fault anything in the room. My friends room was a twin one and small but again overall was very comfortable.
The breakfasts could have been better. On our first morning we had to wait for 50 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and when they did, they were not hot. We didn't receive any explanation for the delay or any apology. The buffet part of the breakfast did not provide more than muesli, yogurt, cereal and some apples and bananas. The hot breakfasts did get better as the week went on.

It is a pub after all and the noise and activity is to be expected. No problems with noise at all after 22:00.
