The location is great and staff at the property were helpful.

The room wasn’t very clean and was substandard considering this is a 4 star hotel. We were in a basement room with almost no natural light, and the room was not well maintained. The room also lacked a mini fridge, and the WiFi was very spotty. For the price it was quite disappointing.

The Staff were all fantastic. Friendly, helpful and efficient.

Breakfast is fantastic The room was pretty spacious with a double bed and a bunk bed. Bathroom was actually much larger than I expected. The dining area and the outside patio area are really lovely. I would definitely recommend for famililes traveling in the area

The basement room was musty smelling and not much of a view.

The hotel is in a great location in bowness very close to the pier. Shops, cafes and restaurants are all nearby. We had a junior suite which was massive and had beautiful lake views. Breakfast was very good.

Our room was on second floor with no lift. With family and wife having health issues, it would've been nice to know this beforehand. Parking was very limited on-prem.

Beautiful deck, whore such a quaint field to it. Lovely and well kept.

How they handled payments. One of our group was overcharged at the outset which required considerable negotiation to sort and we had £135 taken out of our account after we left which required a lot of effort to get back.

My room was quite hot but they did provide a fan.

We had a dog friendly room which had a living room, bedroom and bathroom with shower. It also had a little outdoor space perfect for doggy toilet between walks!

The breakfast options were great and abundant (we were spoilt!) the location is great, parking on site in quite a busy town.

The rooms (annexes) are in a different building as the actual Angel Inn (where bfast is served, and the restaurant is). This is written in the description on this site but it was not clear to us. It was confusing when we arrived.

It was a well positioned Inn and the staff were really nice and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked fresh from giving our order.

There was no comfortable lounge to sit in either in the main public area or the annexe. The eating area in the restaurant was dark.

Poor quality of breakfast, went for breakfast at 8:15 it was dried and warmed up. Poor quality sausage, cold coffee, however once staff was made aware, fresh hot coffee was brought out. no tongues to use for bread. Everyone hands are touching food products.

The location of this property is exceptional and easily one of the finest in the area. It is ideally situated for family-friendly walks, with the lake just a convenient five-minute stroll away. Additionally, the surrounding area features a diverse selection of dining options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

It was all good , actually more than our expectation.

The breakfast was good. The location was good. The outdoor seating area was very nice and as it was warm we were able to sit out in the evening for a drink.

The room in the annex and was next to the front door so we were woken early with the noise of other guests and the cleaning staff.

So many things 1- room is extremely small for two people. It didn’t look at all like the pictures. 2- not clean. I saw a cockroach in the bathroom. The blinds were not clean. There was weird mold smell in the pillows 3- the view from the room was disappointing. I booked the hotel because I understood it is up a hill and there is a nice view from the top. We were facing the backside of the hotel 4- breakfast was absolutely ridiculous with very limited options (toasts. Butter jam yogurts and bananas and that is it) and you had to order separately from the bar to get a decent breakfast with eggs... What is the point of making breakfast included on booking if you need to pay separately for it? Overall I really regret booking this hotel and I would never recommend it to anyone. Not good value for money

I stayed here with my husband and Mam in a family room. On arrival the lady who checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. In fact all the staff who seen to us throughout our stay were lovely and friendly. There was one young girl who we wish we had her name to right about was exceptional, all we know is she lives right on the door step, she is a credit to you.

No dairy free for the breakfast which was one of the reasons we booked. To be honest, we were extremely disappointed. We love a hotel breakfast and missed out.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and really enjoyed our experience. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and we loved the attention to detail in the decor, which made the hotel feel stylish and welcoming. The room was spacious enough and very comfortable for our stay. The smart TV was also a great addition, especially for the kids, as they could easily enjoy Netflix and YouTube. The location was excellent, with shops nearby and the lake just a short distance away, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

there were a couple of things we did not like. The hotel does not have an elevator, which was inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. Also, the breakfast was very simple and lacked variety.

No soya free food, everything contained some element if this was sausages to bread- as wife has severe allergy had to eat elsewhere. Hot water dangerously hot Room 9: window jammed open, kitchen exhaust on all night and then woken by kitchen oily smell first thing. On Sunday morning breakfast was quite greasy, previous two days were excellent/ it was very very busy but that being said on last day was disappointing. Annex in fact is a separate building g over the road from the inn Very Limited parking for number of guests

The stairs were a little difficult for my farther , but he is 96

Wonderful setting on the edge of the main street, with nice terraced garden for sun downers. The bar service was very good, and the food was excellent, particularly the breakfast choice. We stayed in the annexe accommodation and the rooms were light and airy with views.

Free parking was most welcome although quite conjested at times. The room we stayed in needed a few adjustments in terms of usability, notably a power point near a mirror to use the hairdryer (supplied) effectively. The shower cubicle was not exactly user friendly although adequate in size. The shower gel dispenser was at eye level, so difficult to squeeze onto your hand, and operating the mixer was awkward as it let out cold water on opening and closing, but was very stiff to operate. Another thing was lack of a hand towel rail near the basin, and electric shaver point near the mirror.

Het ontbijt en het avondeten is uitstekend! The Angel Inn is een warme herberg waar je je direct thuisvoelt. Ze hebben een heerlijke tuin op meerdere terrasnivo's! De locatie is ideaal in het centrum van Bowness! Echt alles is op loopafstand en ook het wandelen is heerlijk in de omgeving maar ook direct vanuit de herberg. Het Lake District is Fantastisch!!

Er is geen airco op de kamer die wij hebben geboekt. Nu viel de warmte wel mee omdat het 's avonds behoorlijk afkoelde en in combinatie met de ventilator op de kamer het prima te doen was. Maar als het echt warm wordt in de zomer dan kan ik me voorstellen dat een airco wel gewenst is.

Stayed here a couple of times before and been happy with cost and room.

Paid more than double the price for family room but found very claustrophobic and dark with only one small window high up near ceiling in the basement. No alternative room available.

Fantastic location right in the centre walking distance to everything,

Cosy room is cosy ! As soon as you open the door you squeeze past dressing table , bathroom very small all items on top of each other. Room clean though and bed comfy. We cancelled our evening meal reservation as very limited menu , granted a pub menu which we expected but very little choice okay if you wanted pie, burger or fish with chips , although it was a Sunday maybe week menu is more varied. Breakfast was lovely but waited nearly 45 mins for it and we didn't really go at a very busy period only three couples in at the time

Wasn't keen on staying across the road from the actual pub, this wasn't advertised in the description. Also called the central reservation to try to organise early check in but they couldn't get through and when we arrived in Bowness we popped in to check and our request wasn't even considered it was a flat no.

Our stay at The Angel Inn was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The team working there consists of truly great people who bring such amazing, positive energy to the atmosphere, making us feel completely welcome the moment we walked in. We had a room up on the third floor, and the view was nothing short of amazing it was the perfect sight to wake up to during our trip. The service was consistently excellent across the board, and the breakfast they served was great, setting us up perfectly for our days out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay with fantastic staff and beautiful views. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
