White House Lodge

Susann is een erg vriendelijke en gastvrije host. We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf, en de tips die we kregen voor activiteiten waren heel goed. Goede plek om je reis te beginnen of eindigen vanuit Johannesburg.

Niets, het was heel fijn om hier te zijn!

Die White House Lodge war wirklich überragend und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar noch übertroffen! Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist wunderschön: der große, liebevoll angelegte Garten mit dem einladenden Pool, die tolle Schaukel mit dem traumhaften Ausblick, die beiden unglaublich lieben und verspielten Hunde und natürlich auch die drei Katzen. 😊 Unser Zimmer war ebenfalls einfach wunderbar – bequeme Betten, ein sehr sauberes Badezimmer und vom Balkon aus wieder dieser herrliche Ausblick. Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war richtig lecker. Susann ist dabei sofort auf meinen Wunsch nach einem veganen Frühstück eingegangen. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich das einfach schon direkt bei der Buchung angeben. Für den Abend hat uns Susann tolle Restauranttipps gegeben und war überhaupt bei allen Fragen, die wir hatten, sehr hilfsbereit und offen. Man merkt einfach, dass ihr das Wohl ihrer Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt. Wir können die White House Lodge mit ihrer unglaublich freundlichen Gastgeberin daher absolut weiterempfehlen! Wir waren ehrlich gesagt schon ein bisschen traurig, dass wir nur eine Nacht in White River hatten – wir wären sehr gerne noch länger geblieben. ❤️

Very conveniently located for travel around KMIA. Susann was a lovely host, and also cooked us a wonderful meal in the evening. Very cute dogs on the property! Good value. Will be back :)

Well located for our needs. Nice open space with lovely views. Cottage was spacious and comfortable with required amenities, and shower worked well. Pool available for hot days. Suzanne was welcoming and available for any questions and guidance on local advice as well as tips for our trip to Kruger. She was accommodating of us for an early check in as we had an afternoon wedding we wanted to freshen up for. And we loved her friendly dogs.

Nous avons passé que une nuitée, pas assez pour profiter pleinement des lieux. Hôte très disponible! Petit déjeuner très bon! Literie confortable. Très jolie parc et très belle piscine. Logement sécurisé avec parking intérieur. Un peu loin de l'entrée du kruger (environ 50 minutes).

Dommage pour le bruit de la route qui remonte.

L'accueil par Susan est exceptionnel. Le lieu est magnifique et très grand, idéal pour se reposer. Les enfants peuvent jouer en sécurité ! Merci à Susan pour les conseils sur les restaurants à proximité. Pour notre départ très tôt en matinée, elle nous a préparé des muffins à emporter. C'était une délicate attention.

We enjoyed our stay, I wanted a self-catering accommodation with dstv so we could see the final of the world cup! Since our favorite won, we were extra happy with our stay! Everything is there,beautiful surrounding garden and friendly dogs! We will definitely visit again, next time to watch Rugby!😊🇿🇦🙏

Wir hatten uns kurzfristig wegen der Nähe zum Flughafe bei Susann angemeldet und wurden sehr positiv von der "WhiteHouseLodge" überrascht. Susann ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und wir haben uns bei der Schwäbin bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Das abseits der Strasse gelegene große Anwesen ist wunderschön und gepflegt. Wir hatten ein Zwei-Bett-Zimmer mit Toilett/Dusche und einer Klimaanlage. Im Haus gibt es ein großes gemütliches Wohnzimmer, das bei niedrigeren Temperaturen auch mit einem Gas-Heizgerät gemütlich warm wird. Das von Susann vorbereitete Frühstücksbuffet war auf unserer Reise unübetroffen und auch Zusatzwünsche werden von Susann erfüllt. Eine Übernachtung ist definitiv zu wenig, denn man kann von dort aus in der Umgebung eine Menge unternehmen. Aber so ist das leider im Leben: Oft weiß man erst hintrher, wo die wirklichen Urlaunsschätze verborgen sind. Und die von Susann geführte WhiteHouseLOdge gehört sicher dazu. Dake Susann, und alles Liebe und Gute für Eure Zukunft!

Very hospitable and welcoming owner. Highly professionally run. Very comfortable, spacious and safe. Short distance to the airport for a very early morning flight. Would highly recommend.

Nette (deutschsprachige) Besitzerin und super leckeres Frühstück. Haben ganz viele Tipps für sie Umgebung und den Kruger Nationalpark bekommen. Lage direkt am Flughafen perfekt, wenn man, wie wir, erst abends ankommen.

Alojamiento con un enorme jardín y unas vistas maravillosas. Disfrutamos de un precioso amanecer desde un columpio ubicado sobre unas rocas. El desayuno excepcional y la atención de la anfitriona excelente.

Notre séjour a été exceptionnel. L’hôte est extrêmement sympathique et attentionnée ; elle nous a même aidés à organiser, à la dernière minute, un safari au parc Kruger avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux et très copieux. L’emplacement de la propriété est idéal, avec une vue tout simplement magnifique. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit !

Our family recently stayed at White House Lodge over the long weekend, and I can honestly say it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Sussan, who is truly an incredible host. Her hospitality, friendliness, and attention to detail made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, right up until the day we left. The lodge itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a family getaway. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast — it was absolutely delicious! Fresh, well-prepared, and served with care. It was the perfect way to start each day. Overall, everything about our stay was super awesome. If you’re looking for a relaxing, welcoming, and memorable place to stay, I highly recommend White House Lodge. We will definitely be coming back!

The host is wonderful, so kind and friendly! The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is delicious amd made to order. We appreciate the proximity to the airport and Kruger Park. This is our regular spot and we recommend them to anyone.

Es gibt rein gar Nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat. Es war der perfekte Aufenthalt und wir wären gerne länger bei Susann geblieben. Die Aussicht, das Anwesen, die Zimmer und Sauberkeit, das tägliche Wechseln der Handtücher+ Betten machen, das Frühstück, der Pool und die unglaubliche Gastfreundschaft von Susann (und Kochkünste) haben wir in vollen Zügen genossen! Our stay at this country house was the perfect way to wrap up our visit to Kruger National Park. The location is incredibly convenient—only about a 10-minute drive to the airport, yet it feels like a world away in terms of peace and beauty. The atmosphere is stunning. We were greeted by a well-stocked wine cellar and minibar, which was such a thoughtful touch. Safety was a top priority for us, and we felt completely secure behind the double fencing. The kids were overjoyed with the pool and especially with Mavis, the lovely resident dog. One of our favorite memories will be watching the sunrise from the large swing the owners built on the cliff—a truly magical experience. Since our flight wasn't until the afternoon, the hosts were incredibly accommodating and let us stay longer. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything was seamless, and we will definitely be back if we have the chance!

Sehr netter Empfang, tolle Lage, großartiges Grundstück, sehr entspannt und schön gelegen. Susann war super hilfsbereit und stand bei vielen Fragen zur Hilfe. Tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, sehr dicht zum Flughafen.

Schade, dass es kein Abendessen gibt, der Weg in den Ort war aufwendig.

Hotel bem localizado; próximo do Parque Nacional Kruger e a 10 minutos do aeroporto Nelspruit. Propriedade aconchegante, tranquila e extremamente limpa com quartos espaçosos. Muito seguro e um ambiente familiar e acolhedor. O café da manhã é espetacular de bom; Susann, a proprietária nos atendeu em tudo que solicitamos; muito além das expectativas; e as refeições (jantar) que solicitamos estavam excelentes; sabor e frescor de alta qualidade. Susann é extremamente atenciosa, acolhedora e simpática; nos deixou a vontade, inclusive nos alertou, na chegada, sobre os animais que tinha e que circulavam pela propriedade (cachorros e gatos); amamos todos eles. Esperamos voltar para desfrutar, mais uma vez, de tudo que nos foi proporcionado.

The environment and scenery Thank you to Susan for her hospitality and care. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our privacy at the cottage (great surprise and gift as we booked for family room), grateful for the upgrade. The breakfast was very nice: fresh fruits every morning and delicious avocado. To Susan and staff, thank you for making our stay in White House memorable. I will definitely return!

It is almost hidden, I almost missed it, there should be a visible sign about 500m or šo before the main entrance. There was no carport for the car, maybe they should consider that in the future

The location was a little out of town beautifully situated on a hill. It is well fenced and secure. The owner was really kind and caring. The garden and pool were fantastic as were the bedrooms with a good sized TV, airco and comfort. It is also 11 min from the airport. The breakfast was as good. Outstanding to say the least.

I loved the property location, very close to Kruger National Park. The facilities and amenities were excellent and super clean. The property owners were very helpful in answering all our questions. I would certainly return to the White House Lodge on my next trip to Kruger!

My group loved everything about the White House lodge. Location to airport was perfect. The setting was beautiful and was so relaxing between a hectic time in Capetown and safari. Susann couldn't have been nicer and made my group a lovely dinner. We only had one night there and Im sorry we couldn't have stayed longer.

Friendly hostess, spacious and comfortable room, beautiful and well-kept property, excellent wine available at honesty bar, adequate breakfast.

Elle nous a également préparer un petit déjeuner à l'emporter avec un petit déjeuner sans gluten ! C'était délicieux. La vue depuis la chambre et la salle à manger sont SPLENDIDES ! The host Susann was very responsive and attentive. She provided everything we needed and more. The room and property was gorgeous. Breakfast was very good. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Wonderful hospitality by our host Susann. Great views. Peaceful location very close to KMIA, so great for catching an early flight out or enjoying a rest after flying in. Superb breakfast included in the price. Susann also offered to prepare an evening meal as an optional extra. Very secure compound. We wish we could have stayed more than one night!
