Every about it and it was just amazing stay

Location and really clean
The hotel is nicely decorated. The location is super about this hotel. Staff are very friendly.
Almost nothing
Being next to Xintiandi area is the best location in the city. staffs were all very friendly, particularly the one with hearing loss who was working around the lobby area. He was doing a fantastic job.
The english level needs to be improved for most of the staffs there, especially who works at the front desk.
Fantastic location, with a huge and very comfortable room. They surprised us with balloons and a cake in our room for our honeymoon, which was such a lovely touch. And the breakfast — absolutely the BEST hotel breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere in the world! The variety is astonishing, and the quality of the food is impeccable. Truly outstanding. The staff were also incredibly attentive, warm, and friendly throughout our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience.
Nothing
Good location, service and decent quality hotel.
Rooms / Club lounge are beginning to show signs of age and some wear. But overall still very comfortable.
Superb location
The property was really nice and big with plenty of room

Nothing
Very nice hotel, my flight got in late, so I didn't have as much time there as I had hoped. All staff were excellent, the pool was clean, tidy and well looked after. Gym was also nice. Well managed and nice. Check-in/out is super friendly and quick. The club lounge was great, a nice relaxed enviroment for a drink and some work in the evening and Breafast in the morning. Special shout out to Harriot (studied in Switzerland) - who worked in the lounge along with Lucy (studied in Australia) - who took the time to chat and serve.
First let me say in short that is experience was above and beyond any level of service you could ever receive in the West. I truly felt like a welcome guest at this hotel here and would come back in a heartbeat. The concierge William Hu is an absolute rockstar. He helped me find numerous phenomenal local restaurants and helped me order multiple items multiple times via Tabao because I was unable to do so with a US phone. He even did it at 11 PM at night via WeChat. He offered to even setup reservations for me while in another city. Please make note of how great he is. Also, one night the AC in my room died and the hotel offered to switch rooms for me at no cost at 1:30 AM and I didn’t even have to switch my luggage to the other room until the morning. They clean your room multiple times per day and perform turn down service and refill your room with plenty of water bottles. At only $166 per night with my corporate rate, this was a next level experience. This hotel has restored my faith in the hospitality industry. Every hotel should aspire to the standard of service set by this hotel.
N.v.t.
Most things were good and the staff were friendly. It was in a great location, clean, and all the staff were kind. However, the slow Wi-Fi seems to be something that needs improvement.
The location is fantastic and the view of Xintiandi is beautiful, and most staffs are kind and professional.
Booked this based on comments and history. Normally I stay (professionally) closer to the expo area - but this time (family trip) I wanted to stay centrally located. To be honest, if you’re planning to visit quite some places, the central location is a bit double: we spent quite some time blocked in traffic - didi is fantastic but it really felt like my normal places are more accessible. Obviously the family lined the restaurants and vibe In Xintiandi, so at night the place and location is top if you want to eat there. Booked rooms with lounge access (perfect service, and basically you could eat there a complete meal if you like) and if you do like the apero with friends or family, this is really recommended. Gym and pool are in the basement. Which means the views are not that nice 😉 but it has everything you need and more. Pool temperature best ever btw. A nice gimmick (with our teenage daughters) is the pink London taxi experience (complimentary). The concierges are also very friendly and helpful - even though I felt that some were unaware of some must-do’s in the city. And in all honesty, some should learn a bit more English I feel (I know, I’m in China, but still). The rooms are as expected - but a big thumbs up for the plumber! Best rainshower ever 😉. All in all a hotel that is fantastic and worth the money. If you want to stay in the area, this is the perfect choice. If not, there are several top places in Shanghai that will also receive my 5 stars. And perhaps even outperform my expectations even more.

Dominic is the best!
Good and I had the problem with the payment only and it’s Solved Thanks you I will recommend it to my friends
We had a wonderful stay at The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi. Our room was elegant, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax after exploring Shanghai. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of delicious options. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai.
The Team and the service was impeccable. Thank you to every single one. Nice choice though smaller breakfast buffet.
The building and facilities show some age. The pool area lacks atmosphere. No healthy whole grain bread or oats at breakfast. Mostly toast bread only.
High class area
Great location, excellent attentive staff from the moment you walk in. The one bedroom suite was very well designed, and the food and drinks at the Club Lounge were great. The staff made sure to know who you were when you entered. Having the pink cab available for travel nearby was a nice touch. The only thing I had issues with was controlling the lights in the suite, because when you switch on a light in the bathroom, it automatically switches a light on in the bedroom. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay at The Langham again next time I'm in Shanghai.
Location is amazing! Staff is so helpful! Would go back again. Nancy and the rest of the receptionist were so kind and helpful!!
It was all good
I chose this hotel because of my friends recommendation. At first I was kind of reluctant because to my memory, Xintiandi was kind of old area (I was in Shanghai in 2017 and 2019). To my surprise, Xintiandi is becoming a trendy area, filled with nice cafe and stores. The Langham Xintiandi just across the street of Xintiandi, and surrounded by many big shopping malls. In addition, The Langham Xintiandi also located in city Centre, which makes it easy to go to the trendy Huai Huai road or any other part of Shanghai. The hotel itself is also equipped with Japanese bidet smart toilet, which is kind of rare in Shanghai. I'll be back in December and of course The Langham Xintiandi will be on my top priority list .
Central location with walking distance to metro station
Such a stunning hotel and the rooms are beautiful. Bed exceptionally comfortable. Staff are helpful and speak English. The hotel is in a very glamorous part of Shanghai. A very luxurious stay. I’ll be back.
There were some issues prior to arrival regarding payment and incorrect/conflicting information given to me. In saying that, the hotel worked very hard to fix this issue and they resolved it above my expected satisfaction. This is to their credit. Thank you
We stayed at The Langham for more than a week, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is excellent: there are plenty of places nearby for shopping, walking, and inspiration, and many of the main attractions in this and neighboring areas are only 10–15 minutes away by taxi. We had club access, and I would highly recommend choosing it if you have the opportunity. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room on the 27th floor, where you are welcomed by your personal manager, who remembers your preferences and makes the whole experience feel very thoughtful and personal. The breakfasts were truly excellent, with a great selection of both local and European dishes, fresh fish, caviar, and wonderful desserts. I would especially like to mention our manager, Loretta Lin. Thanks to her, we felt at home — comfortable, cared for, and warmly welcomed. We remember our stay with great affection and already miss this place. During this trip, we stayed at four different hotels, and The Langham was definitely the best one for us.

Nothing exceptional
This is a good hotel in terms of location and service. The location is unbeatable. The service is good, especially for the club lounge. The lounge staff are very good. The breakfast buffet and the lounge club lounge are gear towards international travellers. As such, I think they can improve for Cantonese or Chinese clients if they offer Chinese soups and Chinese desert soup. This would be very helpful in the summer time. Food in breakfast and club lounge are good, but you may find Shangri-la or Mandarin oriental better suited for Chinese customers.
Service and amenities were top-notch. The gentleman who was working the concierge desk helped me resolve an issue and went above and beyond. For that, I'll be back next year. Thanks, Langham team!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi. We travel a fair amount as a family between the U.S., Japan, and China, and this was an easy hotel to like: comfortable, polished, and in a great location without feeling too stuffy. Xintiandi is a really convenient area to stay in. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby, and it is easy to get around the city from there. One unexpected bonus was being right across the street from the Huawei, DJI, and Xiaomi showrooms. Those were fun short excursions on their own, especially if you like seeing the latest Chinese tech. The hotel itself felt very well run. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the service was warm and professional, and it worked well for both adults and kids. It felt upscale without being awkward for a family stay. It was also priced a bit lower than some comparable five-star hotels in Shanghai during our dates, which is worth considering on a longer trip when hotel costs start to add up. Overall, I’d happily stay here again. Great location, excellent service, and a very easy luxury hotel to recommend.
Stayed at the Langham Shanghai Xintiandi for a weekend staycation with my family. It has been years since my last visit, but the pink memories came rushing back the moment I caught that signature Langham fragrance at the entrance driveway. Years gone, but the scent remains. Arrived at Sat. noon. A quick note on parking: the entrance is on the Langham side, but the exit is on the Andaz Xintiandi side. Twin towers, shared parking garage. Follow the signage and you won't get lost. B5 is your best bet—one of the guest floor lifts reaches it directly, though it does get packed. If you end up at B6, well, you'll be taking the stairs. Important: don't forget to register your license plate with reception at check-in. I totally forgot, but Andy Cai from the call center proactively asked me if I had a car downstairs on my call to 0. Stress removed before I even knew I had it. Thank you, Andy. I smelled the Langham fragrance again the moment I stepped into the lift area. Check-in was smooth—I had a room facing Xintiandi with club access. After checking in, Andy Chen from Concierge with a big smiling face, escorted us all the way to the lift. I ran into him three times during my stay. He can't speak, but every time, he went out of his way to walk me to the elevator, checking on my stay with sign language. On our second encounter, he still remembered which floor I was on and pressed it for me. I saw him erranding around the lobby- taking photos for others, walking people to lift- as I passed by. This guy is a legend. I'm genuinely happy every time I see him here. My room overlooked Xintiandi—Andaz to the left, a glimpse of the Taiping lake and Xintiandi to the right. About 40 square meters. Given that the Langham opened in 2010—16 years ago—the room isn't as spacious as the newer luxury hotels in MLC. But I was touched again by the sophistication of its design and how well-equipped it remains, even after all these years. The layout is as perfect as it can be: three sliding doors separating the bathroom, bedroom, corridor, and closet. Double vanity TOTO basins, a TOTO smart toilet-does not make funny noises at night, three shower heads including a rainforest one, a bathtub pillow for your head, three towels of each size, more than 14 hangers in three different types, a massive 65-inch LG TV—I actually watched the very first World Cup match of the year in my room at the Langham, Scotland vs. Haiti—and a wireless charger that saved us since we forgot ours at home. The bedside control panel was a lifesaver too. Again, the room may not be as spacious as newly opened luxury hotels, but it is so well-equipped—sometimes even better than the new ones. Though if the hairdryer could be upgraded, that would be even better. I had club access, so I stopped by the lounge after dinner with friends at Shanghaitan Restaurant in Xintiandi. Strange thing—I could swear that restaurant uses the same fragrance as Langham. I could smell it inside. Had one drink at the club before bed. Thanks to Zoe and Loretta on the club floor. The service at Langham Club is always impeccable. The gym and pool on B1 are very well equipped—sectioned into pool, weights, cardio, and stretching zones. Honestly better than the hotel gym that I thought was the best -Maqo Changsha. And the monthly membership fee is very fair for a wellness center this well-equipped in a prime location like this. Last but not least: the live band at the lobby bar. I could hear the music from the driveway speakers. It genuinely lifts the vibe. I was at Langham HongKong last month, and comparing the two? Shanghai Xintiandi's lobby bar performance wins. I could see people around me enjoying the Langham night as much as I did. We had breakfast at Cachet the next morning before check-out. Two shames, really. First, I didn't book the Pink Taxi early enough — fully booked. Second, I remembered those Langham umbrellas with roses blooming on the inside. I should have stolen one 😉 But nobody is going home with empty hands, I have to confess I did steal something, the scent, the scent of Xintiandi — that came home with us. In our luggage. In our memories. I'll save the rest for next time.
On the day of arrival, our family checked in without any delays. During our first stay, we were impressed by the room setting, the breakfast dining experience and the attentiveness of the staff members. The rooms were maintained exceptionally well, it met our standards without a doubt, and beyond our expectations. When we travelled out from Shanghai to visit nearby cities, my wife left her bracelet, thinking it was lost. However, on our return trip for a second stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the service staff who managed to find it. I must commend them all that the hotel have a good crew, from the management to the front desk and to all the support staff, that they run a tight ship with all hands on deck!
We recently stayed At The Langham in Shanghai which is a very modern version of 'The Langham" brand. It is a very nice modern hotel in an excellent location. However, on a personal level I did prefer the more traditional Langham in Shenzhen which I felt offered a much more personalised experience than Shanghai. The rooms are reasonably sized with very comfortable beds. The Club lounge seems to be more aimed at dining and it would be nicer to add a few more casual sofas/casual seating to the area for a more relaxing feel in the evenings. Couldn't fault Shirley and her team in the lounge as they were excellent, they were all very courteous and friendly. Many thanks for taking care of us On our departure, apologies as we did not get his name, but the gentleman that was deaf was extremely helpful. He aided us, with the help of his colleague, in securing a premium xl car back to the airport
Pelayanan Hotelnya luar biasa.
Bathubnya bocor jadi kalau pakai bathub tempat showernya tergenang banyak air.
Hotel reception personnel welcoming. The lobby is beautiful as is the room with a great window view of the area. It is Walking distance from malls and beautiful areas to explore and the Bund is not far either. You can manage easily via the metro, very convenient and close by. They offer coffee and tea in the room. We did not have breakfast at the hotel or use any of the amenities so we can’t comment on that. This hotel is top notch and would definitely stay here again if I ever returned to Shanghai. I highly recommend it.
Breakfast
The location is excellent, and the room is beautifully decorated. The hotel also offers the best breakfast in Shanghai.
None
Location is unbeatable. Right across the street from the Xintiandi malls and restaurant area, and connected to Huai Hai Road where you'll find endless shops, cafes, and restaurants — Songmont flagship store was only a 20-minute walk away. You won't run out of things to do on foot. Service was impeccable. Staff were friendly, all spoke English well, and went out of their way to help with restaurant reservations and parcel collection/delivery to rooms. One staff member who assisted with our luggage — I believe he was mute — was incredibly warm and helpful. I didn't catch his name but he made an impression. Rooms were large, spacious, clean, and modern. Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was strong with perfect temperature control — if you're someone who needs a proper hot shower, you'll be very happy here. One small gripe: the turndown service comes around 4–5pm, which I found a bit early. I'd prefer this to happen while guests are out for dinner so you return to a freshened-up room — not while you're still in it deciding what to wear. Gym was great, though a couple of machines were out of order. There's a really nice shower area for post-gym and post-swim, and a big pool too (though I didn't use it). Breakfast spread was fantastic — good mix of Western, Chinese, and Indian options. They also let you grab a free takeaway coffee (latte, flat white, etc.) from the breakfast restaurant, which is a nice touch. The lounge has a live band at night. Not really my thing personally, but the lounge staff were friendly and attentive — we had drinks there on two evenings and it was a nice way to wind down.
Every single thing
Nothing
For my first trip to Shanghai, I selected The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi, which proved to be a great introduction to the city and to the Langham brand. What impressed me most about the hotel was how it anticipated guest needs. I had booked a Twin Bed room, but the reception team saw I was travelling alone and took the initiative to upgrade me to a King Bed room with a view to Xintiandi. It was a nice touch that showed exactly what personalized luxury hospitality should be. Not only did they follow the booking details, they also considered the guest experience and made an adjustment that really enhanced my stay. The room was stylish and comfortable with great views over the lively Xintiandi district. Waking up to the cityscape and watching the neighborhood come alive every day was an added touch to the experience. The location is definitely one of the hotel’s biggest assets. Situated in the heart of Xintiandi, the property provides guests with easy walking access to some of Shanghai's premier shopping, dining and entertainment options. It was the right base for a first time visitor to explore the city without too much commuting time. Breakfast was another plus. There was a lot to choose from, a well curated selection of all the international cuisines and quality ingredients. From Western classics to Asian specialties, there’s something to please every palate. The service at breakfast was efficient and attentive, a great start to each day. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, which was great for lap swimming and keeping up my workout routine when traveling. The hotel was clean and a good way to wind down after a day of exploring Shanghai.
Overall: loved it. Would come back. Stayed there for 4 nights, 4 rooms.
All was super
Had a great stay at the hotel, the staff upgraded our room to Level 21 - superb view and they are so thoughtful to decorate the room with Bday cake. The location was very convenient, with most of the shops and mall within reach. The metro (red line) was just across the road. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, they provided us with directions and even help to make call for us. Delivering the parcel to our rooms - super good service. Also offering different types of pillows. Only downside is the automatic toilet was a bit nosiy at night and will be great if the hotel has water dispenser which save bottles and time boiling the water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back if return to Shanghai again.
Amazing hotel, perfect location and the best rooms, with great beds and the best shower! Plus super friendly staff.
nothing!
Proximity to shopping malls, food and transportation
The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the city while enjoying a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, the room was spacious, comfortable and offered a lovely view. I also had access to the Langham Club, which was one of the highlights of my stay, with a great selection of food and beverages and a very pleasant environment to relax after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. Unfortunately, my stay was much shorter than originally planned due to a flight change, but the experience was enough to leave me wanting to return soon and spend more time enjoying everything the hotel has to offer. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.
Location, service , staff
Nothing , all was good.
Great hotel. I paid a small premium for a Club Room and the Club Lounge was outstanding - both breakfast and later in the day. Shirley, the manager, was outstanding. Staff overall were excellent. Best location in Shanghai.
Cleanliness, comfort, friendly staff, especially Harriet who served us during breakfast. Convenient location as well.
We are good.
Tutto ...
Great stay, excellent service, will gladly come back! Great location in the middle of Xintiandi. Highly recommended!
Excellent services, clean, big-sized room, just across from Xintiandi nightlife and very central, convenient.
Breakfast, spa, room service, room.
Annoying night light cannot be controlled.
Établissement aux standards exceptionnels
Rien
Perfect location just across from Xintiandi nightlife street; the room was very comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. I would love to stay in any country again.
If breakfast offers a greater variety of options
Nice staff. Good room.
Breakfast selection was good but not great.
Everything was perfect.
The only problem we have and it was not with the hotel, is with the taxies in the city, they are not very honest. Maybe the hotel could have a transportation system that could be provided to their guest.
Posizione ottima, spa bellissima, stanze buone.
Love Xintadi!Everything perfect about hotel and staff.Always come back
Die Lage ist perfekt. Eine freundliche und elegante Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück ist einfach großartig.
Excellent service. Good location. Rooms are spacious. Wonderful dining experience. Personal touch with birthday wishes and complementary birthday cake. What a pleasant surprise! Music under water in the swimming pool is an usual experience. Definitely stay here again at next visit.
Very centralised, great location
Room is extremely dated, it is not at all worthy of the price given how old the room. There are plenty of cheaper hotels in Shanghai that has better rooms than this.
happy hour rewelacja
The staff on level 27 in the Club were delightful, each presented themselves fully and so professionally to assist my wife and I during our stay. Special mention to Loretta and Shirley who led their teams so aptly. Thank you Tina, Harriet, Alex, Lydia and Mr Bo. The suite we booked was well appointed and ideally located with easy access to metro and a beautiful neighborhood. The only thing we would change would be the mattress, which would have been okay for a night or two, but after the third and fourth, it created enough residual hip pain to mention here. Hoping they may be up for replacement soon! Overall, an outstanding stay with wonderful people.
Everything was wonderful and service 10/10
One of the best experiences hotel I had. Especially the club room on level 27. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They remember you and what table you were yesterday. Very very very top class service.
Nothing
The location is good with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It's a very upmarket neighbourhood. The metro is about 5 minutes walk away. The service was great from everyone we dealt with. We had their excellent buffet breakfast (very good pastries) and a dinner at the Tang Court which is worthy of its Michelin inclusion. We thought that the room rate was good value for the quality (though expensive for China). The food, though very good, is pricey.
Great service throughout the stay, consistently quiet when needed, and outstanding Club Level hospitality that truly makes extended stays comfortable and enjoyable.
Honestly, after visiting several hotels, I don’t usually write reviews, but this hotel has been excellent. Not only are the location and the facilities truly outstanding, but what impressed me the most is that every member of the team is completely confident in how to do their job. They are attentive to every guest — from the person who welcomed us at the car, to the reception staff, those who accompany you to the elevator for the first time or call it for you when your hands are full, and the breakfast team. I was genuinely very impressed. It’s clear that the entire staff knows exactly how to make a guest feel completely comfortable. Personally, I’m very happy to have stayed there.
This hotel is beautiful, and well appointed, however, it is the staff on Level 27 in the Club who make it so wonderful to sit and relax and plan for the day ahead or return to “a home away from home” after a day out and about. The Club itself offers a very generous selection of foodstuffs and beverages during happy hour, and nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful group of people who are led well by both Shirley or Loretta depending upon the day, both super in their roles as ambassadors of their brand and kind to their staff and guests. Honourable mentions to the others in the team which include, Tina, Harriet, Alex, Lydia and Bai Hong Bo, each delightful and happy to be a part of this place.
