The location and building was nice and quiet. The instructions were clear for entering the building. The shower was nice and hot and the towels were soft and fluffy.

The toaster oven. I packed soup in a plastic container for my meal and had nothing to cook it in, and nothing to use to remove the hot bowl from the oven.

Too far away

The location in the mountains but a short drive from town so great views from our balcony (when the clouds lifted). We stayed in a suite which was very cosy and clean. No issuws with parking - plenty of space. Nice hot tub, sauna & steam room. Staff remote but very response to any queries during our stay. Check In was no problem at all. Would definately stay here again if I am lucky enough to visit the area in the future.

No red flags for me at all. I’ve seen some critical reviews and all I can say is that our accommodation was great and the check in was hassle free.

Clean and spacious, comfortable king-size bed, tidy bathroom. We enjoyed hot tub and sauna. Very quiet location, 12 km away from Golden. Functional kitchenette in the room and a small grocery shop in the building. Proximity to the skiing hill and bear refuge.

There was a sudden electric outage caused from the wildfire and lasted for 26 hours. During time my food is melt or changed in the refrigerator. No elevator(dark starecases), no hot water, no shower, no mobile service. It was all around at Golden. After that, the lodge compensated for that. Sorry for the wildfires

El hotel esta alejado del pueblo de golden pero contaba con una habitación muy espaciosa, balcon con vistas a la montaña y elementos de cocina y cafetera, etc.. Ellos envian los codigos de ingreso al hotel y a la habitación, no hay lobby. al estar alejado nos permitió cruzar a un oso en el camino desde el auto y en el complejo se encuentra un refugio de oso grizzlie que tambien se puede visitar: lo aclaro para los interesados en la fauna. En mi caso sumo muchisimo! y no sabía de este refugio.

It is in a perfect location with its on convenience store, restaurant, and hiking trails on the property. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

There weren’t any staff around and people were noisy at night, did not listen to the quiet hours rules.

Location of the place was great. Loved that it was on the mountain, and easy to do the activities on the hill, and get to town. We love the outdoors and booked this place for that reason. it was really great that way. and the staff on the hill for the activities were so knowledgeable and helpful also. highly recommend

We were not given the room we booked and needed to move two times to get somewhat similar reservations. I have used booking.com for years and this is the first time ever that I have not been given what I booked. when I contacted the owners, they did give us a new room, but we had to move two times to accommodate our stay, and it really just made the stay very inconvenient.

Check in was easy and the staff was attentive of some of the issues that came up during our stay.

It would be nice if there were more information pamphlets in the room on how to operate the TV and related equipment. I don't know if there was a way to watch local sports on the television but I couldn't figure it out. All it seemed I could access was streaming services like Prime, Paramount+, etc. I was trying to find TSN to watch the Blue Jays and couldn't find it.

It’s sad to see accommodation in such a beautiful location be so poorly managed. Self-check-in is perfectly fine when everything works, but it becomes a real problem when there is no one around to ask for help and basic things aren’t functioning. The shower didn’t drain properly, and the overall cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired, especially considering the $85 cleaning fee. The suite also showed significant signs of disrepair, including large cracks in the floor tiles. We couldn’t find an ice machine and, again, there was no one available to ask. Most disappointing of all, both saunas had signs saying they were “closed indefinitely.” The location is beautiful and the property has so much potential, which makes the lack of maintenance and management particularly disappointing. It could be a wonderful place to stay, but the current condition and lack of support made the experience frustrating.

Stor rummelig suite med masser af plads også på badeværelset. God bruser. Flot udsigt over bjergene fra balkonen. Fin base for at udforske Kootenay og Yoho hvis man gerne vil have en lidt billigere mulighed end Banff/Canmore.

Sengen var forfærdelig! Alt for hård uden nogen støtte og med alt for høje puder.

No breakfast, the suite would have been nice if was cleaned ablot better. Looks like they only made bed really.

Location was pretty nice but internet/wifi barely worked. Couldn't even watch a movie on Netflix. Place was Dirty. Table not even wiped, microwave and appliances dirty, floors weren't done well... washer/dryer stunk and needed cleaning. Hair in several areas of the fabric couch. Bedroom closet had two very nasty dirty fans and dirty blankets that weren't even folded in the closet. I asked twice for extra towels never received. Customer service was terrible. No breakfast, pay extra for parking even though their own site said complimentary but wouldn't honor that. If was clean and better service I would have considered staying again.

I love the atmosphere the quiet the restaurants close by were really good a store if you forgot something hiking was easy to get to. It’s a place you can go relax leave everything behind and decompress.

There’s only one thing I did not like, but I survived no air conditioning.

Pretty setting in the mountains

We were sold a room that had a door to the adjoining suite. That was never revealed to us until we received our note about checking in. The room was small. The next door (adjoining) unit was noisy until midnight. Quiet hours are 10pm. Messaged the contact number, they did nothing. Very poor response and action. Also we did not receive any notice of what amenities were on site (restaurant, coffee shops etc…). A very poor service from the unit holder. They charged 165$ for a night and 160$ other fees. That was not worth it. Over priced by double. Very disappointed with the unit and owner/manager response. We received token responses via text but no action or response by the adjoining (owner) suite.

Il lodge è una bellissima struttura situata a circa 15 Min di guida da Golden. È stata un'ottima scelta per quanto riguarda la posizione strategica rispetto ai parchi nazionali circostanti. Il lodge è molto carino, le camere sono semplici ma pulite e attrezzate. La disponibilità di parcheggio gratuito nelle vicinanze è molto ampia.

Il lodge dispone di una reception che è quasi sempre chiusa. All'arrivo risulta quindi difficile comprendere come funziona il check-in. In più, questo lascia, a mio parere, gli ospiti senza alcun supporto generico immediato da parte dello staff. Esempio di quanto sopra descritto è quanto accaduto durante il nostro sgiorno. A causa di eventi naturali la cittadina di Golden si è ritrovata in un blackout. Le entrate dell'albergo, che sono tutte funzionanti tramite serrature elettroniche, si sono automaticamente bloccate. Siamo riusciti ad entrare solo grazie ad alcuni ospiti che hanno manualmente aperto le porte. Durante i 2 giorni di blackout nessuno della staff era presente per spiegare la situazione, venivano semplicemente mandati messaggi tramite chat booking.

The room had coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, microwave oven, and refrigerator. The staff was cordial (when you can find them). At the rear of the facility, the ski slopes and shopping create a good ambiance for evening strolls or food/beer etc. The room had a nice patio with patio table and two chairs for outdoor dinners etc.

The front desk is open only between 11 AM and 7 PM, so arrive early. The property doesn't allow guests using their elevator, so plan to carry your bags up a flight of stairs. Our room did not have the wooden chair that the rooms are supposed to have. When the front desk is closed, there is no way to talk to any one about the facility (you can only call and leave a message for them). There were no instructions for free parking across the street, instead they provided a QR code for paid parking. No air conditioning but a fan was included. The room did not have coffee for the coffee maker (it is supposed to be stocked with coffee).

We arrived on the day that the local town, Golden, was affected by a severe power outage caused by wildfires. We don’t blame the hotel for not having power from the grid. However, there was no backup power, no instructions for guests and no contingency plans. For what we paid, this was very poor.

Location was beautiful. Rooms were spacious and I like the stores and cafe options right within. Laundry on the suite and deep tub with separate shower was a bonus. It was well stocked, like a home away from home!

I didn’t like that there was no air-conditioning with a south facing unit.

L'ascenseur ne fonctionnait pas, le hammam et le sauna non plus! Il manque des placards de rangement dans l'appartement

Se encuentra a 15 min de Golden, en la montaña, en una estación de Sky. El check in es online y te mandan las claves para entrar al edificio y al estudio. No ves a nadie. Al principio piensas “qué hago yo aquí en la quinta porra y tan solitario?”, pero la realidad es que el estudio está muy bien, la cama es cómoda, el baño limpio y de tamaño adecuado, con una minicocinilla con cafetera, tostadora, microondas. Tiene un balcón con vistas a la montaña y hot tub en la zona común al aire libre que se agradece después de las rutas. Y la tranquilidad de la montaña. Realmente nos ha gustado mucho!

Where do I start. Purpose of being at Lodge was to celebrate my nieces wedding we had family in both Lodges and different floors. It is self check in with no one to provide direction upon arrival and no signage inside Lodge to let you know where to go. Elevator was broken I was notified day before but with my room number starting with a “1” I made the assumption it was on the first floor. Once we figured out location of room discovered it was up two flight of stairs. With having mobility issues this caused me to not be able to participate in events going on in other family members rooms. I had great difficulty walking up stairs and feared falling when coming down. There was no iron provided in my room I followed directions and left a message Friday to see if they could provide one [Checked out Sunday with no response to message I left]. Hair dryer was old and vibrated did not use as feared it would catch fire. The power went down Saturday night I agree this is beyond the Lodge’s control. There was no employee or Lodge representative present to ensure all their guests were ok. There should have been lights in hallways ie LED so people were not walking in the dark. They should have brought flashlights around again to ensure their customers are safe. There were seniors arriving who had to carry their luggage up eight flights of stairs to get to their room.

Nothing. No staff was available in the hotel during a power outage. Dozens of people sitting in the lobby in the dark waiting for someone to show up. We, along with them spent the entire night in dark. We had the door code of our suites but the entire hotel was in dark. No backup power generator was available I would guess. Again there was no one in the hotel to update us on anything. I had to spent the night in that hotel in the dark with my two special needs kids. It was a horrible experience. We checked out the following morning although we had paid for three nights. I asked for a refund and they declined.

De locatie In de bergen (wel 90 min rijden van Banff).

Niemand aan het onthaal. Enkel een telefoonnummer voor toegang tot de kamer. Heel ongezellig. Ook communicatiestoornissen. Eerst moesten we online e een formulier invullen . Dan was het niet meer nodig. Van kamer moeten veranderen dan weer niet. Veroeste trappen, verouderde inrichting, versleten meubels.

Accidentally they have "cleaned" our room and thrown away everything from the fridge and took our plug converter and messed to the bed. At night when we arrived home, we complained, and they said "we are so sorry" and even tho they have thrown away our food from the fridge they didn't even offer a breakfast or any resolution, we asked they rejected, we just had to accept they made a mistake and we paid the price. Better to avoid the place

The suite has no functional TVs, 1/2 of the fans provided to provide air circulation in the suite are broken, internet is non functional, dishwasher programming button broken. Contacting the appropriate support number over just the internet has failed to secure results. Reflects an overall lack of maintenance and uncaring owners.

This hotel is advertised and being in Golden however it was quite a bit outside the town, although it was a pleasant drive to get there. When we arrived it was difficult to find the way in as the reception was in another building. Our room was fine although not the cleanest hotel room we have stayed in. The bed was comfortable and there was a small kitchen area. The TV did not work and the system wasn't even connected. Reception could do nothing to help us with this! the promised email the next day to see how they could help us, never came. Very poor service! I can imagine that this place is very busy in the winter months but it felt like everything was hit down while we were there.

Nothing... I was billed for nothing. Never saw the room. When I paid with my visa the bill went from $95 to over $250. I tried to cancel with the property management company that told me that I had to cancel with booking.com, that told me that I have to cancel with the property management.... never even saw the room. What a Scam that the public should know about

There was an option to choose a cot so we booked this property based on that. This was not provided and the staff on the phone were unable to provide one, only a large sofa bed.

We booked our stay here through Expedia, all went fairly well. We were supposed to receive an email with check in instructions 11hrs before check in. We had to message Expedia 3-4 times to get it as there is no check in or facility assistance at all.. they advertised a hot tub( it was out of order) their were weeds growing all over the balcony, the property itself looked neglected and uncared for. The room is small, but fairly decent condition. No air conditioning but they did at least furnish a fan. It’s not the worst place we’ve ever experienced, but close. The worst part was the 37.00 resort fee that was due on arrival but no way and no one to pay it to. We spent hours on text and emails and finally got it taken care of. We DO NOT recommend staying here!

Geheel is sterk verouderd. Dringend toe aan opfrissing. Geen personeel aanwezig na 20u en ook telefonisch niemand te bereiken! Enkel onze mail werd daags nadien beantwoord.

Very comfortable

The lift wasn’t working and we were on the 3rd floor. We had travelled from Australia and are both 70 years of age and had quite a bit of luggage. Thankfully the lovely young man at reception carried our heavy suitcases up to the room for us. They each weighed 23 kgs. We wanted to give him a tip but he wasn’t there when we left.

I liked that we had a balcony with a mountain view and that it was near to the ski lifts.

This is very much a winter ski resort and is only kept open in summer with minimal effort. The only member of staff we encountered was a man sat at reception with his headphones in. I hadn't realised it was self check in and that I'd been sent a message with the details. He was very unhelpful and seemed annoyed that we'd disturbed him! Once we had checked into our room we found it to be very dirty. There was a birds nest on the balcony which meant that there was bird poo all of the walls and floor, the table on the balcony was filthy and had clearly not been cleaned in some time and the TV had "clean me" written on it by the previous occupants in the dust on it. The bird poo is not only disgusting but potentially dangerous for your health. In addition to this, the fridge in the room was incredibly loud and the window did not have curtains which made sleeping difficult due to the noise and light in the room. I messaged the property about this (as there was no one to speak to on site) asking if it was possible to change rooms, they replied that it was not possible as the hotel was fully booked (it was very clearly not, there were very few people about), instead they said they'd send a cleaner to clean the room and a maintenance worker to look at the fridge. Neither of these things happened, the bird poo was still there when we left and the fridge was just as loud as ever. They also offered to reimburse us for a meal at a restaurant in town if we sent them the receipt. We accepted this and sent the receipt but I am yet to get the money back from them. They say they processed this on 5th July and I now need to take it up with booking.com, but I'm unsure if this is true as I only sent them the receipt late in the evening that day and had to chase for a response a few days later.

The room was clean

nobody there to oversee the property, nobody knew what was going on, it was over 90° and there was no AC, and the price they charge was ridiculous. I have stayed at many motels, but I would never stay at this one again.

Rooms have no AC. Walked into my room and it was 28.5 degrees....... elevator was out of service....

We arrived in 30 degree heat and no air conditioning in the room, only fans that circulated hot air so made it very uncomfortable. The lift wasn’t working and didn’t get fixed in the 3 days we stayed. We weee on the 2nd floor and hard carrying all our luggage up steep staircases.

Everything. The room was in 3rd floor. There is no one in the hotel Lyft is not working, and I stayed there 4 nights after 4 nights it still wasn’t fixed, I had to pull everything to 3rd floor and there are lots of stairs.

The room was good. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was pretty cool. The view was amazing.

The room was very small. I would say that was to be expected as the price was very reasonable. The screen on the balcony door was bent out of shape so we were a little concerned about mosquitoes. That really didn't seem to be a problem.

No one actually works at this hotel past the afternoon. No one to check you in or help you if you need an actual person. Guests were helping other guests get to their hotel rooms and in the front doors. No air conditioning in the rooms. Just a fan. Elevator out of order. Had to climb 5 floors of stairs. Construction debris at the hot tub and no chairs. No provided complimentary breakfast. Charged $70 for a cleaning fee along with other "resort" fees. $15 to park at the hotel garage. I parked on the street though for free. Oddest hotel stay ever with no staff.

This is not a hotel, but a collection of privately owned condos that are rented out. There was no reception. We were located on the 4th floor and the elevator did not work, so we had to carry our bags up ourselves. No assistance was offered.

It was in a nice location

All the furniture was broken in some sort of way. Dressers, beds, tables. It looked like some one ripped up part of the carpet. The floors had not been vacuumed. There’s no one working on the property to help with basic services. You have to call help number, leave a message, then someone calls you back that doesn’t work in the area.

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés avant 18 heures, il n'y avait personne à l'accueil pour nous aider. La porte d'entrée était fermée. Il a fallu se débrouiller pour trouver dans quel immeuble se trouvait la chambre et comment l'ouvrir. Je pensais trouver un véritable comptoir dans un hébergement de ce prix. Dans la chambre il y avait de quoi réchauffer des plats ou préparer le petit-déjeuner, mais aucune table ni chaise. L'ascenseur était en panne apparemment depuis plusieurs mois.

De lift was kapot, blijkbaar al heel lang. Waardoor je 3 verdiepingen met al je spullen moest tillen. Het was echt toe aan een update, meerdere faciliteiten waren out of order. Hot tub kon je ook niet in. De hor bij ons appartement was een stukje kapot waardoor we er maar keukenrol in hadden gepropt, want er zitten veel muggen. Ook hangt er maar minimale vitrage waardoor het erg licht is en je hoort alle geluiden goed van de gondel.

The room was reasonably well equipped, and the bed was very comfortable.

Building does not have a functioning elevator. The electrics in the room were eccentric, and lighting in the bathroom was barely adequate. Kicking Horse has no facilities, so it's an 8 mile drive to the restaurants and grocery store. That said, Golden itself, and its facilities were quite good.

We had no issues staying here at all. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Yes a little tired in areas and yes outside of Golden BUT we did do our homework first. We were too busy during the day - we use accommodation for sleeping and that's it.

Personal / Zimmerservice gibt es nicht. Kommunikation nur über Telefon / Email. Das herausfinden des richtigen Zimmers war ein Rätsel = Es gibt zwei baugleiche Hotels, manche Zimmernummern gibt es in jedem Haus 2 Fach, einmal mit Pferd und einmal mit B hinter der Zimmernummer. Mir wurde Stunden vor der Anreise eine E Mail zugesand. Mit Schlüsselcodes und Informationen. Leider hat man in den Naturparks nicht immer Internet. Lift alle 3 Tage kaputt ( Zimmer in der 4.Etagge!) Das Zimmer war abgewohnt.

The suite is cozy, comfortable, clean, and I was very pleased with the kitchen in the suite.

L’unité n’avait pas de rideau à la cuisine et le fils de mon conjoint dormait sur le sofa-lit du salon, donc il se réveillait tôt comme la lumière était assez vive le matin (il y avait un ruban à mesurer et les rideaux étaient tombés et placés dans le garde robe de la chambre) … notre chambre était directement au dessus du spa et nous devions laisser les fenêtres ouvertes dû à la chaleur comme il n’y a pas d’air climatisé, donc ca pouvait été dérangeant par moment, nous avons même dû intervenir après 22h car des enfants criaient et jouaient dans le spa sous notre fenêtre alors que nous étions couchés.
