Het concept bestaat er in om zo weinig mogelijk personeel in te zetten. Het ontbijt is daardoor zeker ok, maar verwacht geen uitgebreid buffet …

he hotel did not indicate all the restaurants are closed. the common area is open and there was a noisy group that we in the common area until 1130, the room was hot. You are at the bottom on the ski hill and after labour day nothing is open

The room had everything required and was very clean and a good size. We had a great meal at the restaurant on site, even though the fire department had to come for a small kitchen fire. Golden itself was a quaint town with a few nice restaurants.

We had to cut our stay by one night due to power outages because of lightning and forest fires. Regrettably. We were promised a refund for the one night by the owner/manager who was good enough to help by boiling water on a camp stove for breakfast. Regrettably we did not receive the refund as yet.

The foraging breakfast was fine, provided the early morning hikers didn't grab all the fruit before you got there. The coffee machine in the lobby was not working but I had an excellent coffee maker in my room so no biggy there. The room size was great. Bed was huge and the linen spotlessly clean and fresh. Location was great with a five minute walk to the Gondola. Had dinner one night at the Jeffrey Room which was very good.

Nothing really but I don't understand how you can ask for a view on the "staff" when your virtual front desk means that generally you don't meet any staff. Call me old fashioned but I'm just not a fan of this trend. I like meeting a human being at my lodgings.

Very clean. Great room. Very quiet. Very isolated - 15 min from town centre. Great for us as it was a 1 night stop on our road trip. If you like hiking or mountain biking it would be ideal. Food was good and very reasonably priced.

We didn't get to see a grizzly bear.

The breakfast was well thought out and there was plenty of choice.

The coffee machine had dirty water and coffee grounds in it. This should be clean when people arrive. Instructions for entrance could be better.

Niché au cœur de la montagne ce lodge est un havre de paie de calme de tranquillité avec vue et environnement magnifique ! 100 % autonome tout est numérisé une fois la réservation faite ils envoient les codes d’ ouverture porte d’entrée et chambre c’est super fiable ! Des collations sont à disposition gratuitement ça fait du bien quand on vient de faire une longue route de pouvoir boire café thé lait bref tout y est et se faire un petit goûter c’est un peu comme à la maison Les pièces partagées sont sublimes et spacieuses et les chambres absolument exceptionnelles et propreté irréprochable En même temps à 10 minutes en voiture de la ville de golden ou on trouve absolument tout ce dont on a besoin ! Bref je recommande à 200 % ce lieu est tellement beau et reposant merci 🙏

Er is geen personeel aanwezig. Voelt heel onpersoonlijk. Ontbijt was ook niet veel. Kamer was sfeerloos.

Rustige locatie. Grote kamers. Ontbijt en drinken hele dag door te gebruiken. Mooie algemene ruimte en balkon. Het is erg warm op de kamer, daar hebben ze mobiele airco's voor.

Er is geen personeel aanwezig. Contactvrije incheck. Communicatie is duidelijk. Er zou een restaurant aanwezig zijn maar er was niemand.

Digitaler Check in problemlos. Sehr großzügiges Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und Ventilator. Ruhige Lage am Berg. Selbstbedienungsfrühstück inkludiert und den ganzen Tag zugänglich! Sehr angenehme Sprudelbadewanne und Dusche. Wir waren zu dritt 3 Tage hier und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke dafür. Das Restaurant "The Jeffrey Room" im Keller ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Well there is no staff. It's not a big deal as the check-in was smooth but the coffee machine broke in the morning and there was no one to amend it. Besides that very nice place

Questo posto mi è piaciuto tanto. La nostra suite era gigante con vasca idromassaggio. Abbiamo anche testato il ristorante della struttura. Ottimo!

Minket nagyon zavart, hogy nem lehetett a szobában ablakot nyitni és beengedni a éjszakai friss fenyő illatot. Helyette egy gép van, ami rettentő hangos, a többieké is zavart és a miénk is, de úgy nem jut be a levegő a szobàba. Csak egy nyitható ablak kellene, szúnyog hàlóval. Olcsó, jó, nem zajos és bejön a friss levegő es lehűl a szoba.

No tuvimos ningún contacto con el personal del hotel, en ese sentido me resultó un poco frío. Es verdad que tienes mucha independencia, pero me parece que estaría bien que hubiera alguien en persona por las mañanas.

Tutto. Ambientazione da chalet tipico di montagna, con camere e ambienti comuni veramente curati, puliti e di stile. Molto bello anche il fatto che la struttura abbia attenzione verso l’ambiente e che ci sia una sorta di autogestione all’interno della struttura, ma con lo staff sempre pronto a intervenire in caso di richieste specifiche degli ospiti.

Nulla, chiaramente se bisogna alloggiare a golden, la struttura dista 15 minuti di auto, quindi basta esserne consapevoli.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. Everything felt updated and well maintained. The restaurant was excellent. We were thankful for the air conditioning. The breakfast was basic but tasty. The soft drinks and coffee were exceptional, especially the fact that they were available at all hours.

Our room on the first floor was next to the restaurant and the noise carried into our room, but it didn't bother us because the noise from the air conditioning covered it up.

La chambre est assez spacieuse et le lodge de type chalet est joli. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir dîner au restaurant sous le lodge.

Il n'y a pas de buanderie commune avec lave-linge et la laverie la plus proche est à Golden à 15 min de voiture. La chambre était chaude malgré 25 degrés le jour et 12 la nuit ainsi qu'une climatisation rustique (le tuyau sortait par la fenêtre ouverte de 15cm et un tissu assurait "l'étanchéité" de l'installation). Le petit déjeuner n'est pas "servi sur place" mais en libre service. Il n'y a donc pas de bacon/saucisses/oeufs (seulement des eggs bites congelés à mettre au micro-onde) ni crêpes/gauffres. Il vaut mieux manger de bonne heure si vous voulez avoir encore du choix (muffins et céréales favoris disparaissent vite). C'est correct mais je ne le qualifierais pas de "très bon petit déjeuner". Nous cherchions un hôtel où recharger les batteries entre deux périodes de camping et ce n'était pas le bon hôtel pour ça.

Great Location, all the nice hiking trails nearby. Rooms are super large, with whirlpool bath tube. There's a also a sauna behind the lodge. Breakfast was really great, even gluten and dairy free options available. There is a restaurant downstairs which we could really recommend.

Too many stairs to get to our room. about 12 stairs just to get into the front door then another 2 stories to climb. Had we known we would have packed only an over night bag and left everything else in the car.

Climatisation portative avec extraction qui empêchait d’ouvrir la fenêtre. L’orque nous sommes arrivés il faisait très chaud car l’extraction était rejetée à l’intérieur. Petit déjeuner libre service très limité en choix. Vaisselle jetable en carton… boissons disponibles très sucrées ainsi que tout ce qui est proposé c’est dommage. Personne pour répondre à des questions. Nous avons reçu beaucoup de mail avant et après… mais aucune réponse aux nôtres. Dommage. Salle de bain étroite pour 4 personnes

Completely charming, lovely room and super comfy beds and pillows

Sadly, on the first of 2 evening's, a storm took out all electricity in the area, and wasn't expected to be reconnected anytime soon. Apparently, the last time this happened, it took 48 hours. Staff did their best to make us comfortable. Elsa (I think) offered to refund in full the 2nd night's fee, should we wish to move on. We accepted this, and hope to receive a refund in due course.

I really loved the idea of their staff less check-in and breakfast. They had pre-made the egg bites and left it at fridge. So you can grab and heat up for breakfast. The breakfast items, yogurt, oats, milk, Juice and fruits are available all day. So if anyone feels like to have anything light at night, they can easily grab it.

What I particularly did not like was how unprepared they were for a natural disaster, given these are the areas with unpredictable nature. 10 rooms (probably) so you could decide to have battery powered light for this long of a power outage. Another thing was staff's behavior during this difficult time. All guests checked out by 11 am, even the ones who planned to stay longer probably. We and another couple was trying to find a gas station outside Golden as there were none inside, our phone had low battery due to using it at night as torch, also almost no network, we needed to decide with living situation/flight situation. We were using the lobby area for sitting while going out and in to figure things out. But we did check out even before 11am. Around 11.30 ish one of us wanted to go to washroom and asked the lady staff who were working, she flat out said no!!! The main resort area, restaurants, gas stations all closed out. Normally of course we would not ask for using the washroom after checking out! But this was different. That felt really weird and rude! They were cleaning up for new guests I understand. But given the situation you would not know if they were even coming! Then I realized why some people on review complained about no staff or rude staff. They are not equipped with situations like this. But the place is amazing, the arrangement was good. Only not for sudden case of a disaster. Being this expensive and within a resort area you are expected to have a little backup plan for your guest.

Breakfast as self serve with mediocre quality products

Flexibility of breakfast time was great. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and attractive.

The air conditioning was quite loud and woke us during the night. I found the pillows were too high for me and was not comfortable. Bedding was quite warm for the time of year.

It was a Shame my room was next to the main lobby/front door/breakfast bar. Noisy guests which the accommodation cannot control was an issue, a large group of Italian’s evening and early morning. The location away from any road/city centre should have guaranteed a quiet sleep apart from inconsiderate guests!

Beautiful location, quiet and well laid out. Breakfast bar was good and much appreciated (although rotten banana make us wonder how often it is switched out!).

The lack of air conditioning made things very uncomfortable, a standing unit is a poor substitute as it is too loud to use while sleeping. Would be nice to have blinds on the window that still allow you to look outside, with privacy.

Dysfonctionnement de l’alarme incendie ( détecteur de fumée qui se met en route à 1 h du matin) heureusement réparé la nuit suivante suite à notre demande et non changement des serviettes de toilettes le matin du 3 ieme jour comme prévu … avons dû demander à un chilien très serviable sur place l’après midi et qui nous a donné des serviettes propres …

Strange to arrive to unitoned bed linen, but maybe I am fussy. Also we booked three people into the room, but only two cups and two towels.left out. We stayed for three nights and no beds made or towels changed in that time.

Przepiękny, klimatyczny pensjonat w pięknej lokalizacji. Podobała nam się formula bufetu śniadaniowego! Pokoje i salon bardzo przytulne.

Breakfast was good, it was quiet, and it was close to the Kicking Horse Ski/MTB area. We also saw a bear nearby. It was really handy having a bar/restaurant under the building.

It was a process getting access as it was all remote (there is no front desk), We didn't have a problem but older people who aren't as computer savvy may struggle.

Best een leuk hotel nabij een ski lift.

Ver van het dorp. In de zomer is er niets te doen in de omgeving dichtbij het hotel zijn de restaurants dicht 1 july gaan ze geloof ik deels open. Zelf check-in. Ontbijt staat 24/7 klaar en is een soort buffet. Eten van papieren bord. Kamer zelf, donker en somber weinig licht. In het voorjaar erg warm in de kamer, dat wordt opgelost met een mobiele airco die heel veel herrie maakt. Personeel niet gezien.

Breakfast buffet has single-use disposable only - plates, cutlery, cups - feels so wasteful. The surroundings are not as pretty as the photos would lead you to believe.

Schönes großes Zimmer, große Dusche, großes Bett. Die Lage ist rd. 15 Minuten von Golden entfernt, dh für Abendessen/Supermarkets muss man ein Stück fahren. Dadurch ist es in der Umgebung absolut ruhig - in der Nebensaison gibt es außer anderen Gästen der Lodge und der benachbarten Unterkünfte kaum Verkehr. Es gibt ein kleines Frühstücksbuffet mit Getränken und Brot, für einen kleinen Snack gut geeignet aber nicht mit einem Hotelfrühstück vergleichbar, Teller/Besteck sind disposable, weswegen viel Müll produziert wird.

Im Haus gibt es scheinbar einen Kompressor, der mitten in der Nacht angeht und wirklich sehr laut war. Das wurde scheinbar schon einmal in einer anderen Bewertung angemerkt, und von der Unterkunft angemerkt dass es dafür eine Lösung geben soll - im Juni 2026 war von dieser nichts zu merken. Das Zimmer verfügt über ein TV-Gerät, allerdings kein live TV - dh man kann diesen ausschließlich als Smart-TV nutzen. Nicht zwingend schlecht, aber dennoch eine Information die vorab bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich war und für Gäste sicher interessant ist. Ein Fenster war durchgehend offen und konnte nicht geschlossen werden, damit der Schlauch einer Standklimaanlage hinaushängen konnte - gerade in einem Zimmer am Ground Floor ein bisschen unangenehm, da das Fenster von außen durchaus erreichbar ist. Am zweiten Tag in der Unterkunft sind wir ins Zimmer zurückgekommen und es sind auf einmal andere Möbel im Zimmer gestanden - erst danach haben wir eine kurze Nachricht der Unterkunft erhalten, dass es eine Delivery neuer Möbel gab. Hier wäre es schön gewesen, vorab eine Info zu bekommen, damit wir unsere Sachen entsprechend versperren/wegräumen hätten können. Das Restaurant in der Unterkunft hatte während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts zu, durch die Lage gab es keine Möglichkeit in der Nähe der Lodge Essen zu gehen - nicht dramatisch, aber auch überraschend, dass diese Information vorab nicht ersichtlich war.

Soft beds and large shower

An odd smell, maybe the cleaning product, but it reminded me of a wet dog. A fan was connected through a hose in the window, and was incredibly noisy. Had a terrible sleep.

Frühstück war ausreichend. Das dort angetroffe Personal war mit 5 Sternen zu bewerten, zuvorkommend und absolut hilfreich um ein Buchungsproblem zu lösen. Die Unterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert!!!

I have zero criticism

Communication via email/text was seamless, and I didn't feel any issue with self check-in or check-out. The room was clean. Internet was stable. Excellent shower setup. Quiet during my time staying there (as i like it), and you feel in nature while still having more lodges with ppl around it.

I think the price should better reflect that this is a shared lodge complex (and not a high end one). There was no air conditioning installed (there was a mobile one in the closet, but I wouldn't be able to sleep with that motor noise inside the room). So i open the window (and my luck it was a chilly night when i was there) but the window doesn't open all the way, and if you lower the blinds, there is no air movement. They did leave a fan, but it was outdated and noisy. When they indicate 'continental breakfast,' mind that this is maybe 'continental' to that area, as the only things I found were some cereal, frozen eggies (which i had no idea how long they've been there), and cupcakes. I wasn't able to heat up the eggies in the microwave as they didn't leave a ceramic plate, only disposable ones, which I don't want to place in the micro.
