Casi todo, habitación pequeña,baño sucio y lleno de pelos los desagües,literas que se hunden,armarios viejos, sabanas,edredón y almohadas sucias, buffet poca cantidad y no reponían,vamos,casi todo.

El ruido del bar, no se podía dormir bien. A parte, la limpieza brillaba por su ausencia (paredes con manchas de líquidos y rodapiés negros).

Location was great, bar was exceptional and the rooms had plenty of space, with two toilet facilities and two separate shower rooms - very clean and modern

The only let down was the breakfast, coffee wasnt great, bread a bit stale, and for the same value we went out to a cafe afterwards and enjoyed a better breakfast

A localização é perfeita, ideal para conhecer o centro a pé. A menina que estava na receção foi muito educada e simpática mesmo estando sozinha a resolver todos os problemas em pleno horário de check-in (15h).

Definitivamente a casa de banho precisa de uma limpeza mais cuidada e prateleiras para pôr os nossos pertences. A luminária junto a cama não funciona, mas o pior é o WiFi que não funciona nos quartos e tampouco os dados móveis.

Wenn ab 22:00 Uhr Nachtruhe ist, jedoch dann die Haus eigene Bar immer noch laute Musik hat. Dann ist es einwenig fragwürdig wieso man die Machtruhe macht. Frühstück war nicht gut organisiert, zu wenig Personal.

Que deux prises pour 8 personnes Très sale : poussières partout sur les lits superposés, moisissures sur les parois de la douche, déchets des personnes précédentes, pas d’aération dans la douche, la fenêtre gauche ne se bloquait pas donc on ne pouvait pas la laisser ouverte et il faisait très chaud dans la chambre. Pas de porte manteau. Couettes tachées. Il n’y a pas assez de personnel. L’enregistrement sur les bornes uniquement pour 8 personnes n’était pas pratique.

Loud, hot, not friendly, machine for money. Worst experience in my travel experience and I have stayed in multiple low cost places.

Impossible de dormir. Les bruits de la terrasse très présents. Chambres moites et non aérée. Porte de douche qui ne marche pas. Lumière de la douche qui s'éteint en pleine douche. Consigne de baggage non sécurisées. N'importe qui peut rentrer. Très déçus. Cher, bruillant et pas propre.

Die Lage des Hostels mitten in der City ist sehr gut. Alles kann man in weniger als 10 min. erreichen. Der Self-Check-in über die A‑&O-App funktioniert super. Ich musste nur das Handy vorzeigen und bekam direkt die Zimmerkarte und das Bettzeug zum Beziehen des Bettes (muss man selber machen). Dass man im 4er-Zimmer Dusche, WC und ein Waschbecken hatte, war ebenfalls gut. Überrascht war ich ebenfalls, als ich einen Schreibtisch inkl. Stuhl + einen kleinen runden Tisch mit einem Sessel vorfand. Das konnte man, je nachdem, wie die Situation im Zimmer ist, ausnutzen. Das Bett selbst mit Kissen & Decke fand ich gut.

Dieser Bericht gilt ausschließlich für das Zimmer 520 im 10. Stock: – Das Erste, was mir direkt aufgefallen ist, ist, dass die Schränke für Kleidung oder Ähnliches nicht abschließbar sind. Das heißt, hast du einen Koffer und bist selbst mit einer kleinen Tasche/einem Rucksack unterwegs, dann musst du das ins Bett nehmen, wenn du es nicht anders verstauen kannst. Bei 4 Leuten, bei denen du als Besitzer gut schläfst, kann dir was entwendet werden. – Die Schränke selbst allein sind ein Problem. 2 Schränke sind ausgestattet mit Kleiderbügeln. Die beiden unteren Schränke waren zum Aufbewahren von Kleidung oder Ähnlichem. Es hatte den Eindruck, dass man alle 4 Schränke mit seinen Zimmerpartnern teilt und jeder dem anderen seine Dinge in Ruhe lässt. – Der Sessel und der Schreibtischstuhl, die im Zimmer stehen, müssen ausgetauscht werden. Der Schreibtischstuhl war wackelig und durch und der Sessel war mehr als unschön (Flecken, Polster/Federung durch und man sitzt tief) – Für das Badezimmer gab es keinen Abzieher. Wer geduscht hatte, hat das WC unter Wasser gesetzt. Mit einem Abzieher kann man das Wasser zum Abfluss bewegen und hinterlässt keinen See. Hier mein Tipp: Crocs oder Flipflops direkt vor der Tür lassen und nach dem Duschen vor der Tür anziehen. – Strom zum Aufladen der Handys gab es nur direkt bei Bett 3. Alle anderen Betten hatten keinen eigenen Strom. Der Gedanke lag hier beim Schreibtisch. Da gab es direkt 4 Steckdosen, da sollte wohl jeder sich eine nehmen. Sicherheitsbedenken auch hier, wenn es um Diebstahl geht. – Unten in der Lobby gibt es einen Raum mit Snacks & Getränkeautomaten. Alle 4 Stck. Waren vollständig leer. Jeder Automat hat ca. 400 Artikel tragen können, sprich 1600 für alle zusammen. Ich danke dem Kiosk, der 2 min entfernt war, um dort etwas zu erhalten.

I arrived by train to the Edinburgh Waverley station and the a&o hostel was really near!!! I arrived there by feet without any problem. Beds were really comfortable.

The corridors and room we were in were extremely hot, the shower was cracked and very mouldy and the shower door was broken and did not close properly.

La ubicación es perfecta, los colchones son cómodos y el baño no está mal. La chica que estaba por la mañana nos ayudo hacer el check-in que debes hacer tu mismo desde unas pantallas que hay en recepción.

La habitación doble es diminuta y apenas te puedes mover. No hay armarios y ningún perchero, te obliga a mantener toda tu ropa en la maleta; maleta que tienes que tener cerrada en un rincón si quieres poder pasar al baño. Hay mucho ruido del bar de abajo y encima nuestra habitación daba justo al lado de las escaleras y cada vez que se cerraba esa puerta retumba en toda la habitación y no se podía descansar. Tienes que solicitar la limpieza de la habitación por la app y no se presentó nadie en 4 días que estuvimos. El desayuno para un español es escaso: hay judías, huevo duro, salchichas, pan, embutido y poco más. Y te quedan pegado literalmente al suelo. Estaba muy muy pegajoso. Acabemos desayunando fuera.

Location and pet friendly

We were on the 11th floor. To reach the lift, you had to take a different lift and walk through the building. There was no explanation at reception, and we only found out when we entered the wrong lift. After finally taking the second lift, we realized there were no towels or bed linen on the beds. So, we had to go downstairs to get them from reception. Why didn't they tell us everything at once? Additionally, the office chair was almost broken, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken, and the armchair in the room was dirty.

The location is good

The hostel is very noisy. There wre signs to say no noise between 10pm to 6am, yet there were young people talking loud, screaming, laughing, swearing into the morning hours 3, 4 am in the court yard. This facility is not suitable for people who want a night rest. We stayed for 3 nights and every night, the noise level was excessive.

Barulho do bar. Pagamos as toalhas (1,80£ cada toalha de banho) e um depósito de 10£ pelo secador de cabelo que diziam devolver e já deixamos o alojamento no dia 8/09 e hoje dia 12/09 ainda não nos devolveram o dinheiro. Estes valores pagos a chegado ao hotel não nos foram informados antes. Sobre o secador de cabelo enviei várias mensagens para o alojamento a perguntar se tinham e nunca me responderam.

Sehr laut, nicht sehr sauber und das Frühstück ist recht spartanisch und einfach. Das Vierbettzimmer war viel zu klein und hatte zu wenig Platz für vier Erwachsene, die mit ihren Koffern und Sachen hantieren müssen. Das Fenster geht nur einen Spalt auf und man hat wenig Luft. Dafür ist es umso lauter, weil vorm Fenster bis in die Nacht gefeiert wird.

Orientierung innerhalb des Hotels war ganz so einfach. Es hätte eine bessere Ausschilderung gebraucht. Verschiedene Aufzüge führen in verschiedene Stockwerke.

Las ventanas no se podían abrir, no había aire acondicionado y hacia mucho calor. Nunca pasaron a limpiar y la basura acumulándose allí. El wifi tampoco es muy bueno.

Il punto a favore è certamente la posizione e anche il prezzo rispetto ad altre strutture in centro. Prezzo tuttavia alto per la qualità di quanto offre.

La pulizia è certamente un punto a sfavore. Abbiamo avuto la camera familiare con bagno in camera senza aerazione e in condizioni da rivedere. È un ostello e si sa che ci si deve adattare...tuttavia il nostro viaggio ci ha portato a soggiornare in altri ostelli più puliti e accoglienti. Comunque nulla che non si possa sistemare con buona volontà

La ragazza in reception non riusciva nemmeno a segnare il codice che ti dà il check in online .Il mio letto non era pronto per le 15 e la ragazza mi ha mandato in una stanza diversa dalle foto e tutta sporca di polvere . Poi però mi sono fatta dare la stanza che avevo prenotato.

Für den Preis absolut unterirdisch, Ausstattung mangelhaft und lieblos, komische Klo-Duschkombi, Schimmel in der Dusche. Fenster kaputt, keine Geräuschdämmung. Sie Bar im Innenhof war die ganze Nacht sehr laut zu hören, das Zimmer selbst war super warm, trotz milder Außentemperaturen. Lüften war durch das Fenster kaum möglich. Das Wlan leiser nicht zu gebrauchen.

Me encantó la ubicación, en pleno centro de Edinburgh, el hostal es enorme y tiene una terraza interior para comer apto para fumadores.

La luz del lavabo de la habitación se apaga sola y mientras te duchas se apaga dejándote a oscuras. Entiendo que hay que ser responsable con el consumo pero me parece muy incómodo. Por otro lado, aunque la habitación estaba limpia a simple vista, debajo de las camas estaba lleno de polvo y el suelo del bar estaba todos los días pegajoso.

La ubicación del hostal es inmejorable. Las camas son muy cómodas. El tamaño de la habitación es adecuado para dos adultos y dos niños.

Hay que saber que la cocina para que la usen los huéspedes es pequeña aunque todos los electrodomésticos funcionan hay poco menaje tipo calderos, platos, vasos y a lo mejor tienes que esperar para usarla porque se llena y tambien depende del civismo que tengan los usuarios. Las camas son muy cómodas pero quien se quede en este hotel debe saber que las habitaciones dan a un patio donde en el fondo hay un bar con música hasta la 1:00 am y las ventanas no están lo suficientemente insonorizadas aunque en nuestro caso lo que molesto para dormir no fue la música sino los gritos de la gente en el bar y eso es algo que no depende del hotel pero hay que saberlo. Igualmente repetiría por el precio/calidad/ubicación

Very loud as there is a bar that is part of the hostel.

Great location. The hotel is situated in the historic centre of Edinburgh. Everything was within easy reach, and we were able to explore the main tourist attractions on foot. This was undoubtedly a major advantage.

The breakfast was not particularly impressive. There were not enough seats, and towards the end of breakfast, some of the food started to run out. It gave the impression that the hotel was not prepared to accommodate a large number of guests during the holiday season. The rooms were small and cramped. The facilities were basic but acceptable and in line with the price we paid. The conditions at night were very tough. Our window faced the building’s inner courtyard, where the bar was located and where the party continued until the early hours of the morning. The guests were extremely loud, and the sleeping conditions were far below average, making it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. If you value your sleep, ask for a room away from the bar.

it’s close to everything and very affordable for the younger age group

A localização é, sem dúvida, o grande ponto forte deste hotel. Fica praticamente na Royal Mile, numa zona muito central, o que permite visitar grande parte dos principais pontos de Edimburgo a pé. A relação qualidade/preço também é bastante boa, sobretudo tendo em conta a localização.

O principal problema foi o ruído. Apesar de as janelas parecerem ter vidro duplo, deixam passar bastante barulho proveniente do pátio interior, o que prejudicou o descanso durante a noite. O pequeno-almoço também ficou aquém das expectativas, com pouca variedade. Já fiquei anteriormente noutros hotéis da cadeia a&o e, infelizmente, este foi o que menos gostei.

La struttura è molto carina solo che al piano terra ospita un locale aperto fino a tardi dove le persone urlano e bevono fino a tardi. Non è un posto adatto a chi vuole stare tranquillo o sta con bambini piccoli, il rumore è eccessivo. I servizi e la pulizia sono sicuramente buoni ma non basta.

All the staff were very ashmera and the Ukrainian guy at reception was very helpful in need nothing was too much trouble . I did book only female roon with bottom bed . After 2 room changes I was put into room 336 which I shared with 2 men and young women this was not acceptable theroom was dirty with rubbish under my bed it was very dusty. We did request it to be cleaned twice. Yet this was only done once and not very good only bin was changed and new loo roll given. What I will say is I think there are bed bugs because I couldn't stop itching once I was in bed and I was bitten around my neck arms legs . Usually this never happens to me not even if im abroad. My sleep was not restful for the 5 nights I was there..

La habitación estaba ubicada a 1 km desde la recepción, el baño tenía la temperatura de un sauna y la habitación también tenía mucho calor. Había un ventilador para que corre el aire caliente por lo poco espacio que había. Además se oyeron borrachos y música de los bares hasta las 3 por la mañana.

I cut my fingers on two different surfaces. (Soap dispenser and the check in computer). Requested a bottom bunk because of disability, gave me a top bunk. Room was so hot, woke up sweating.
