Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lage zwar etwas außerhalb aber wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist optimal. Zimmer war sehr sauber. Frühstück war okay. Alles in allem ein toller Urlaub. Jederzeit wieder.

It is a good walk of about 15 minutes into the old town along the coast passing lots of restaurants and bars. Beautiful scenery. There is a bus stop outside the hotel if required. Breakfast is plentiful & can be eaten outside.

L’hôtel est magnifique (ancien consulat britannique à la Canée), très confortable et très calme. Idéalement situé tout près d’une plage dans un quartier de la Canée plein de charme. Le petit déjeuner dans le jardin est très agréable. Le personnel est serviable et chaleureux.

La piscine est vraiment petite - mais le jacuzzi juste à côté très agréable!

Cleanness, location and charm

A fantastic hotel - the building itself is enough to make me come again. What's more the staff were friendly, the breakfast was exceptional, and the sunroof and fitness room was a nice bonus. It's not too far a walk into the old town and the beach. I would love to stay here again.

Great service and friendly personnel, clearly the best we’ve had in Chania. Rooms were pretty and hotel overall was really beautiful. We also liked the pool area and rooftop bar, rent cars, airport transportation and other extra services. Everything went really smoothly, and prices were really affordable compared to other similar hotels.

I actually can’t come up with nothing negative.

I really loved the design and cosy atmosphere of this hotel. The location is great, and it’s within easy walking distance of Chania Old Town, which was very convenient. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of tasty options. If you’re travelling by car, there’s a very convenient parking lot behind the hotel with plenty of space. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Camera molto spaziosa (ci hanno fatto un upgrade a una superior), ottima colazione e parcheggio privato (Chania è abbastanza trafficata particolarmente in agosto quindi consigliato). Staff gentile. In circa 10-15 minuti a piedi si raggiunge il centro con una passeggiata tranquilla.

Forse il bagno un po’ piccolo ma tenuto bene, e mancava qualche posto dove appendere asciugamani e costumi bagnati (la camera nostra non aveva terrazza). Ad ogni modo sono cose minori, consiglio comunque questo hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Koum Kapi—peaceful, yet central and within easy walking distance of the main attractions. The building itself is beautiful, and the parking area is spacious and secure. The breakfast was very good, and having it in the hotel garden was especially enjoyable.

The only downside was that the bathroom was quite small.

Clean and comfortable room, great beds, good breakfast, convenient parking, and a 10-minute drive to Chania center. Friendly staff and special thanks to the French-speaking receptionist.

The A/C in Room 314 was stuck on fan mode and did not cool at all. The room stayed at 27.5°C all night. Although we booked two rooms (and the other room was perfectly cold), staff insisted our room's A/C was "normal" after we complained multiple times. We suffered in the heat all night.

We stayed at Halepa Hotel for just one night before our flight home from Chania, so it was a short but very pleasant stay. Our family of four had two double rooms, both clean, comfortable and well air-conditioned. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and exactly what we needed before travelling. We were quite tired after days of sun and beach, so we did not use many of the hotel facilities. The hotel itself has a lot of character. It looks almost like an old embassy or elegant residence, with a very classy atmosphere, a beautiful outdoor sitting area and a fountain. The location worked very well for our final night in Chania, and a major advantage was the private parking. Having easy parking in Chania made arriving with luggage and leaving for the airport much more convenient.

Nothing significant. The only thing worth mentioning for visitors unfamiliar with Chania is the parking arrangement. The hotel parking is behind the building, and you need the hotel keycard to open the gate. This means you first have to stop and check in before you can access the parking area. It is not really a problem once you know how it works, but with parking in Chania already being quite difficult, it would be useful to know this before arriving.

El edificio, su estética le da un punto bonito, hotel muy tranquilo ideal para relajarse, parking dentro de las instalaciones, rooftop con piscina y jacuzzi y sin duda el desayuno con mucha variedad y muy bueno todo.

We enjoyed a late July vacation, well taken care of by the wonderful team at Halepa Hotel. The hotel stands out for its cleanliness, convenient location, and great breakfast. If I were to visit Crete again, this would definitely be my choice. GRAZIE.

Location good, parking good. Probably a lovely hotel 10 years ago. Staff did their best. Breakfast awful - we went instead to the amazing Archelogy museum cafe which is next door. Small ill equipped rooms. The roof top pool was a hot bath full of hair and some dirty sunbeds. Wouldn't go back.

This beautiful hotel has kept is British Embassy feel and is well maintained, each communal room sumptuously furnished. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts each day had plenty of choices and were taken either inside or outside in the very pretty garden. Our room had a small balcony and was at the back of the hotel but with a pleasant view and was very comfortable. The car park was spacious and very secure.

The location meant it was a 20-25 minute walk to the main town. There is a bus stop right outside. Other than that, nothing.

This was absolutely beautiful place to stay breakfast wad lovely rooms were amazing especially in the main part of the building 😊the staff we're lovely friendly and very helpful and the best bit was the pool and jacuzzi loved the hole thing 😀 💓🫶

Le personnel, en particulier Eleftheria, était très aimable et attentionné. Eleftheria nous a très bien conseillé pour choisir nos balades (Balos, Elafonissiz, etc). Merci beaucoup !

Le seul petit bémol c’est le fait que la balance dans le hall ne soit pas à disposition des hôtes gratuitement. Nous avions du payer pour l’utiliser.

Le lieu est beau, la localisation parfaite . Excellent déjeuner.

Clim fait beaucoup de bruit et est vieille. Le personnel non présent à l’arrivée, manque de produits dans les chambres économiques ( aucun shampooing ni revitalisant) . Indication difficile pour l’arrivée et le stationnement. La piscine est plutôt un grand bassin et l’espace terrasse sur le toit pas très organisé.

Check in process quick and easy - I arrived late from a cancelled flight, and everything was arranged quickly. The breakfast was good and went on quite late. I had to hang around after checking out of room. Roof terrace was pleasant with splash pool and jacuzzi. I was offered to shower in the gym/sauna are before my flight which was really welcome. Nice salad lunch. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Arranged the airport transfer for similar price to airport taxi.

It was all fine for my short (unexpected) stay. A little more information about the history of the hotel would have been interesting (eg photos of its use as an embassy)

Fenomenalne śniadanie, bardzo bogaty wybór jedzenia. Piękny ogród z miejscami do wypicia kawy i zjedzenia śniadania. Pyyyyszzzna kawa :). Hotel położony raczej na uboczu miasta. Zaraz obok znajduje się muzeum archeologiczne. Do najbliższej plaży spacerkiem ok 8 min. Jacuzzi na dachu było bardzo miłym zaskoczeniem.

Brak mleka bez laktozy w ofercie śniadaniowej. Trochę brudne otwory klimatyzacji w pokoju. Gdy klimatyzator wyłączał się w nocy to z otworów było słychać głośne świsty / gwizdy powietrza (chyba gdy klimatyzacja była włączona w sąsiednich pokojach). Drzwi wejściowe do pokoju były bardzo ciężkie i zamykały się bez spowalniacza. Wejście z walizką i trzymanie tych ciężkich drzwi było sporym wyzwaniem. Bateria przy umywalce była już baaaaardzo mocno zużyta / zniszczona.

Gorgeous atmosphere. Lots of charm both outside and inside. Our room was splendid (301) and breakfast was superb despite the room being rather scant. The staff was helpful and very efficient

The walk into town is not so nice everywhere and there are some rundown buildings nearby (but this occurs in all of Chania). Taxis are incredibly out of reach both from the hotel and returning

My dad and I had a great 10 day stay and the hotel was so quiet - bar other guests letting doors slam etc but not late at night, thankfully. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious and cleaned every day, which we did not expect. The hotel is set back from the road and the bedrooms are at the rear so there is no noise from the busy road. The breakfast was also really good and an excellent variety. The one small negative is as there is no real pool space most people do not stay around the hotel in the day or even in the evening, the bar is a lovely area with original features but you are unlikely to find any other guests so the atmosphere is lacking. The walk into Chania old town is 20 to 30 minutes but there is also the number 11 bus with a stop right outside the hotel and it takes you right into the centre (or further on to the beach). All in all we had a great stay - thank you Halepa Team :0)

We loved the hotel! It was cozy, well maintained, and the staff was great. The breakfast was good. I loved the garden and the roof top garden, I think it could be even better with rooftop furniture but I guess that's not the idea of it. These 2 places are perfect if you want to be outside. Perfect location, close to the city center, 20 minutes walk by the sea. The room was big, it looked smaller on the pictures. The AC was working good, even in hot days. the fitness center is fine, but it was really hot in it, and doesn't look new, it does the job.

You can hear everything from the other rooms, if you are noise sensitive, don't forget your earplugs. But it's like that everywhere. The AC was making a lot on noise the first 2 nights, but then it stopped. Don't expect a view if you are on the first floor, but there is a nice balcony, a small table can be added. The small pool and the jacuzzi are really nice but I saw many people not getting a shower before using them, which grossed me out. There is only one sign to take a shower and is close to the shower.

The hotel is located just 10 minutes from the beach, but it takes 25–30 minutes to reach the Old Town. It is somewhat expensive for Greece.

Every year we start and end our trip in Halepa Hotel. It’s such a nice place. First of all there is the building, an old embassy and you still see the beautiful furniture and decorations. The rooms are beautiful, a good bed, a good shower, a small balcony and you have space to move in your room. But most important there’s the manager and all the people that work there. The people at the reception are always available, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned every day and you feel that breakfast is made with love. There is also taxi service to the airport. The bar of t he museum (you can go there after the museum visit, but has also separate entrance) has a big balcony with a panoramic view over Chania.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the attitude of the staff and the way guest concerns were handled. During our stay, I suffered a minor facial burn caused by sudden and significant fluctuations in the shower water temperature. When we reported the issue to the hotel staff, particularly the manager, we expected concern and a willingness to resolve the problem. Instead, we felt that the attitude towards us changed noticeably afterward. Later, our room was not cleaned. When we asked for housekeeping, we had to request it multiple times. At one point, we were handed garbage bags and effectively told to deal with part of the situation ourselves. When we explained that room cleaning is a basic hotel service, the response we received was that the staff were tired and in a bad mood. To make matters worse, they laughed while discussing the issue, which we found highly unprofessional and disrespectful. What disappointed us most was not the mistakes themselves, as problems can happen in any hotel. It was the lack of hospitality, empathy, and accountability in addressing them. We felt that our concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. The breakfast was also very poor and well below what we expected for the price and category of the property. Crete offers many excellent accommodation options. Based on our experience, I would encourage future travelers to consider spending a little more and staying elsewhere. Good service, professionalism, and respect for guests are worth far more than saving a few euros. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to provide any of those qualities.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem schönen, historischen Gebäude mit viel Charme und besonderem Ambiente. Das Frühstück war gut und bot eine abwechslungsreiche Auswahl. Angenehme Hintergrundmusik sorgte für eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass ich ohne Aufpreis ein besseres Zimmer erhalten habe. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut: Sowohl die Altstadt als auch mehrere kleine Strandabschnitte sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.

Gerne hätte ich nachts die Balkontür geöffnet gelassen, allerdings war dies aufgrund des erheblichen Lärmpegels von draußen leider nicht möglich. Im Badezimmer fehlten sowohl Hygienebeutel als auch Kosmetiktücher. Gerade in dieser Preisklasse hätte ich diese Annehmlichkeiten erwartet. Auch eine kostenlose Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer hätte für mich zum Standard eines Hotels dieser Kategorie gehört. Das Zimmer sollte einen hochwertigen und stilvollen Eindruck vermitteln. Bei genauerem Hinsehen zeigte sich jedoch, dass dieser Anspruch durch verschiedene kleine Details und Mängel nicht vollständig erfüllt wurde, wodurch der insgesamt gehobene Eindruck etwas geschmälert wurde. Es sind oft genau diese kleinen Details, die den Unterschied zwischen einem gehobenen und einem wirklich hochwertigen Hotelerlebnis ausmachen.

Hôtel grande classe, jardin, confortable, grand parking. Petit déjeuner excellent. Personnel aimable et dévoué. Au calme non loin de la vieille ville. Pour s’y rendre, le taxi coûte entre 6 et 10 euros, sinon 25 minutes de marche.

Tout était parfait à l’exception d’un petit manque de lumière dans la SDB rendant le rasage difficile, et d’une poignée de maintien dans la douche.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und ruhig, wir haben dort 10 Tage verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Personal ist aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Auf der Terrasse auf dem 4.Stock kann man den kleinen Pool zum abkühlen geniessen.

Es ist ein wenig weit vom Strand entfernt, zum Altstadt braucht man ca.20 min zu Fuss.
