Fantastisk frokost- noe av det beste vi har hatt. Alle i familien var fornøyde. Vi var et reise følge på 6 voksne og ett barn på 1,5 år.

Vi bodde på det jeg mener var rom 209, og gjennom hele natten var det en vedvarende pipelyd på rommet. Lyden vekket oss med jevne mellomrom og påvirket nattesøvnen vår betydelig. Vi tror pipelyden kom fra kjøleskapet på rommet. Jeg burde ha tatt dette opp ved utsjekking, men i all travelheten glemte jeg dessverre å nevne det. I tillegg ble jeg skuffet over håndteringen på avreisedagen. Vi måtte sjekke ut kl. 11.00, mens flyet vårt ikke gikk før kl. 20.00. Vi var seks voksne og ett barn på 1,5 år, og jeg spurte derfor om muligheten for å beholde et rom noen timer ekstra eller eventuelt få tilgang til fasiliteter slik at vi kunne dusje før avreise. Løsningen som ble tilbudt var en suite til 280 euro for 5,5 timer, noe jeg opplevde som urimelig kostbart. Vi fikk heller ikke anledning til å benytte dusjfasilitetene i spa-avdelingen, da denne var opptatt med massasje- og spaavtaler. Jeg må si at jeg synes dette representerer en service som ikke står i forhold til standarden og inntrykket av et ellers flott hotell. Etter en natt med forstyrret søvn hadde jeg forventet større fleksibilitet og mer imøtekommenhet, spesielt når vi reiste som en større familiegruppe med et lite barn. Jeg håper dere vil ta denne tilbakemeldingen til etterretning og vurdere om det er grunnlag for en form for kompensasjon eller annen oppfølging av saken.

Breakfast was exceptional, especially the location. Balcony view was stunning. Staff bend over backwards to help with impeccable English. Steam shower was a real treat. Big comfy bed.

An exceptional hotel, but the people are what make it unforgettable I don’t usually take the time to write reviews this long, and perhaps that already says something. This is simply my small way of giving something back for everything I received during my stay. I came to Chania combining business with a holiday, and The Tanneries is one of those rare places that stays with you after you leave. The hotel is beautiful, right on the water, with wonderful rooms and atmosphere. The breakfast is exceptional and the restaurant is excellent. But what truly makes this hotel special is the people. From the moment I arrived until I left, the entire team was warm, attentive and genuinely kind. They remembered our conversations, gave me great recommendations and made me feel truly welcome. Sometimes when you travel, you meet people only briefly, almost like a leaf brushing against you in the wind, but somehow they leave a mark. That is how I feel about the people at The Tanneries. If I return to Chania, for business or holiday, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay something I will remember long after leaving Crete.

10/10 - An Exceptional Stay The Tanneries Hotel & Spa was honestly one of the highlights of my stay in Crete. Everything exceeded expectations. The room was incredible - spacious, beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, and with a breathtaking sea view. The proportions, materials, natural light and attention to detail made the entire space feel both luxurious and peaceful. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. The team was warm, attentive and genuinely helpful without ever being intrusive. The location in Tabakaria was perfect for me - quiet and directly on the waterfront, yet still close enough to Chania and the Old Town. Waking up to that uninterrupted sea view every morning was something special. And Periplous, the restaurant downstairs, was excellent. Beautiful setting literally by the water, delicious food, great drinks and an atmosphere that made you want to stay there for hours. What impressed me most is that the hotel is intimate rather than oversized, yet nothing feels compromised. The rooms are generous, the design is exceptional, the views are stunning, and the entire property has character. Room: 10/10 Service: 10/10 View: 10/10 Location: 10/10 Design: 10/10 Restaurant: 10/10 Comfort & room size: 10/10 I genuinely struggled to find anything negative to say. An exceptional boutique hotel and absolutely somewhere I would stay again when returning to Chania.

Le manque d’amabilité à la réception (pas de bonjour sauf si le client le dit) et au petit dej pour un 5 étoiles!. En revanche, les femmes de ménage étaient adorables et la personne s occupant des voitures aussi. 25min à pied du centre ville mais jolie balade

Beautiful property. The room had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Breakfast was delicious. The beds were so comfortable.

Breakfast was lovely. A bit egg leaning but nice. Location is so picturesque. Beautiful view of the sea and the harbour and lighthouse at Chania old port.

Not much. A less rocky cove in front of the hotel would be great for a sea swim. Otherwise nothing.

The breakfast offering was plentiful and quite delicious. There were many choices for the continental breakfast, in addition to a menu offering. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, particularly the bellhop and concierge, as well as the restaurant employees. We also had a wonderful dinner at the on-site restaurant! The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. We especially appreciated the large loft space and black-out shades. The view is divine!

The room was modern, big and very comfortable. The sea view from the window was outstanding. But, the main advantage of the hotel was the staff, which were always friendly and willing to help.

Dinner at the restaurant could be improved.

The property is in a lovely location which is quiet but a short walk into town. The view is gorgeous and having breakfast a few feet from the sea is a lovely start to the day. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. I recommend getting a massage at the spa. We got one the day after we arrived and it was so good we got another one the day before we left. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day to a high standard. The staff at the hotel are excellent; professional, warm, helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The property was beautifully located by the beach and we have impeccable views. We really enjoyed the sunset from our rooms. The steam in our shower was an absolutely win and all the toiletries also felt luxurious. Great spa!

Car valet service was very helpful, Hotel restaurant was exceptional both for Breakfast and dinner. Our room was perfect with a great sea view (the balcony was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset)

The hotel is in a quieter section of town and has magnificent water views. Rooms have excellent lighting control and modern amenities. Materials used in hotel are top notch. The small indoor seawater pool is excellent.

The room you select matters. Avoid the Junior seafront suites on the first floor that are perfect rooms with gorgeous sea views but zero way to enjoy said view, no privacy due to walkway right outside window. Your sea view is interrupted by humans passing feet away from your face outside your window or randoms showing up to fish for hours or walk babies or strolls. It is difficult to imagine the traffic in high season. The hotel should categorize these rooms clearly with a first floor/facing public walkway warning tagline on all booking sites, so clients have this information when selecting a room. Breakfast setup is more for aesthetics than practicality. You don't have to make it all look so pretty, at the cost of a more functional serving of a functional meal. A bowl of chopped fruit works better than beautiful paper thin moon shape slices displayed as art where one customer can deplete the full supply and not even get to half a fruit's worth. There were multiple examples of inefficiency but overall minor issues which may, however, be exacerbated in busier times.

It was absolutely lovely, very modern and clean. Our room was amazing….a full jacuzzi and steam room! The view was beautiful, the sea and the view of Chania were spectacular. The restaurant…we had dinner there twice and the food and service were so wonderful. The breakfast was outstanding, so much to choose from. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Chania.

Tolles, modernes Design mit wunderschönem Ausblick. Sehr Bequeme Betten. Alles sehr sauber. Die Massage dort ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher und vor allem mit gesünderen Alternativen sein. Es gab wenig frisches Obst oder Gemüse, dafür viel Kuchen und Weißmehlprodukte.

Property was beautifully renovated and right on the water. Valet available, small gym, spa services and small pool and hot tub. Views from our room were breathtaking. Everyone was kind and helpful. There was a fantastic restaurant on the first floor. Food was so delicious and the host and wait staff very attentive. I’d definitely come back.

Locatie en inrichting, uitzicht op zee (vanaf kamer en terras) personeel, verwarmd zwembad, heerlijk ontbijt en lekker restaurant. Zeer mooie en comfortabele kamer en bed. Verwarmd zwembad. Kindvriendelijk.

Ik kan echt niets verzinnen, het is aan de dure kant, maar we waren in het laagseizoen en het was het voor ons echt waard.

Everything. The service is really on a higher level. Facility was perfect. And the steam shower(many people called it "hamam" but it's not) is just best relaxation after long walk. Amazing huge bed Breackfest is also amazing. Also it's available from 8 to 11 AM. Big parking. It's very important because of the small streets there.

Das Hotel ist wunderbar und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen: sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück, toller Spa- und Fitnessbereich, wahnsinnig schöner Ausblick aus den Zimmern. Die Lage etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums war sehr angenehm, nach einem kurzen Fußweg am Meer entlang ist man in etwa 20-25min in Chania.

Beautiful property, excellent location and friendly staff.

It's a beautifully restored building with super comfortable rooms with stunning sea views. It's in a suburb of Chania very close to the great archaeological museum and the house museum of Eleftherios Venizelos. A pleasant 20 minute walk into town, there is also a goid bus service.

Μοναδικός ο χώρος του σπα με την πισίνα ! J'ai aimé l'hôtel en lui-même. La vue est magnifique 😍. Le lit on dort tellement bien. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux.

On a eu un savon déjà utilisé à notre arrivée. Mais sinon le reste était parfait.
