The staff was kind and polite.

Unfortunately, the room was not properly clean and hot water was not always available. In addition, there was a very unpleasant episode: one day a staff member entered the room and removed a sofa because it was needed as a sofa bed elsewhere, without any prior notice or consent.

It was a building site with a digger in front of the room; there are building a swimming pool; there was also the continued noise of tile cutting. There is no fridge and no safe in the room. The service is not good: even the rubbish has not been collected daily. The restaurant has a very slow service: I ordered fish and wait ed 90 minutes, I then went to eat else where.

La struttura ha camere grosse e pulite. La colazione a buffet è adatta a tutti i palati. La spiaggia davanti all'hotel (basta attraversare la strada) non fornisce lettini.

We liked only the private beach and the breakfast. That's it. Staff Service: Good

1. Room: Bad quality. Not cleaned properly. There was sand in the room, dust particles in the bed. 2. Facility: AC stopped working after a while and it was said that they fixed it when we came back the next day, but the whole AC was removed and kept. After requesting the 2nd time they gave us another room. 3. Surprises: there was a dead lizard in the bathroom, which would have gone when cleaned properly. But cleaning was bad, hence it was there when we checked in to the replacement room. 4. Bathroom: felt like a century old pipes and shower heads. I understand these ruin due to hard water, but when it is cleaned atleast once in a month these shower and taps will function properly. 5. Food: Very costly and definitely not worth the price. We had buffet along with our package, even that was not so good. Breakfast was good, that's the only thing in food that was tasty. Symphony is an old resort, and they have good reviews everywhere, maybe we got a bad room, not sure, but our replacement room was decent but bathrooms were crappy. They need to work on cleanliness more and address the customer issue promptly without hesitation. Definitely not worth the price.

I was expecting beach touch room as mentioned on the site. But was offered rooms the side and ever construction was on going which was not informed by the property

must’ve been a good spot when it opened but now its in a desperate need of renovation, it was overpriced for the room we were put in. Everything smells old and the breakfast was stale.

Very bad experience! All rooms smelly, water leaking into the rooms, no clean towels, bathroom wires were open. Worst experience i ever had in my life. I booked for 2 days but i checked out on first day only because of these hell of experience. So requested refund for my 2nd day.

Prime location with beach access any time from Lagoon suites . Very safe and peaceful enviornment with no disturbance . Lovely location that you would like to see for hours .

Location of property was good.

On booking we were not told that it would be like a building site. They are constructing a new set of chalets and some work started at 6.30 am.The electrics around the AC unit were unsafe as was the socket outside the bathroom. The reception area was dark and needed a complete overhaul, as did the room. A fair price (if I went back which I won’t be doing) would be half of what I paid. There was 1 sun lounger on the beach. Breakfast was unappetising, for example the fruit juices and fruit were not kept cold, so in these temperatures they were warm. Photos show how the rooms are locked!

The location is nice, its a big property with lots of rooms and cottages and they have a private beach as well, which is always appreciated. The property is well managed and cleaned and they serve good food at the restaurant

Being a big property they dont have enough people to provide services. Asking for bottles of water in rooms takes ages to arrive. They are even making new rooms and I am not sure if they will be able to manage it if they dont increase their workforce.

The location, cleanliness, food, ambience, rooms, staff behaviour, service on demand were all awesome.

At the time of booking it was written that at all locations of the property, Wifi will be available. But in reality it was available only at the reception lounge and restaurant area and that too had very slow speed. This caused severe problem as I had some time critical office works to be done from there which I could not as none of the rooms had Wifi.

The location is fantastic, with a private beach. The staff are helpful. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, the look of the resort is lovely. Full marks for that.

However, the rooms have seen better days, and the bathrooms need sprucing up . Please note that the spa does not exist anymore, so the name needs changing. The buffet is Indian predominantly, so choose from the menu and avoid the buffet if you want options. I felt the rates were a little on the higher side.

Staff were courteous,private beach is very good.

Food was very expensive but not tasty.No laundry service not even cloth driers or cloth stand provided. Comode had stains.

Lovely cottages , a very serene and pretty coconut grove in the middle . Spacious rooms and bathrooms have hotwater all the time . Housekeeping staff is very alert . Location is bang on a beach . Many good eateries around. Will strongly recommend the place

The Breakfast was very indifferently cooked and managed . The area around the kitchen is layered with grime and is sticky black which attracts too many flies . Very bothersome and also unhygienic. No fridge in the room . Very unexpected for a property in the quoted price range and standard. Very inconvenient in a place with food erratic supplies where you may want to store perishables

No pest control, we found rat in our room and it was carving the wood for the whole night, informed the reception but no action from them to change room and we lost our sleep.

Resort location is awesome, attached to beach. Beach side cottage are well maintained but restaurant facilities not available. It is available only at main property. Food was good and delicious.

Huts at main property is very bad, property require renovation. Not advisable to stay. Not worth of money.

It is good hotel with polite and friendly staff. They served us well. Few things they need to improve about cleanliness and comfort. I am happy to accept that hotel maintains it's image around.

It was a pleasant stay and everything was well managed. We were able to enjoy the scenic beauty and hotel's private beach.

The good: 1. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and well equipped 2. Room service and food is decent The bad: 1. What you get, is not worth what you pay 2. I wouldn't spend extra for the breakfast or for the "beach front rooms" If you're looking for a room which opens up to the beach, you'd find much better options at a much better price. Be extremely careful while booking your rooms, though we booked a room by the beach, we were given a room at the far end of the hotel. This happened with at least 3other guests checking in at the same time as us. There clearly is wrong information given by the hotel on most websites. Be doubly sure about the room you're getting while booking. Would I come back here? Not a chance.

This hotel is well located good service but the bathrooms need to be updated, I think the property is at a stage in which it requires updating restaurant and breakfast average I would say it’s a 3 star hotel.

The stay was great. It is very beautiful property. They have a Tour guide Salim, who helped us plan the trip as well. They have a nice private beach. Only if they could have the bar on the beach.

We were not very satisfied with the food and the accommodation. Considering the rate you can get better.

Overall, our stay at Symphony was a large disappointment in terms of value for money. There are locations nearby at a much lower cost but with less marketing capacity, but more dedicated to service. Also it keeps the flexibility to eat outside, whereas here with half-board you are "confined" to a mediocre cuisine. We went for a diving holiday but the fact that for about a month now off-shore diving has been banned by an Indian government regulation, has conveniently been not mentioned to us. Therefore, we wanted to shorten our stay as the plan of pertaining an advanced open water diver license could not be realized. The hotel offered little to no help at all for that, so we forced to stay.

Overall a great stay -- yes it was a bit pricey but during the holidays your options are a bit limited on Havelock. Beautiful beach, enjoyed the feeling of being in nature just steps from the room, and since they're all little bungalows it was nice to have a bit of privacy and feel like we were in our own cabin near the beach.

The Cottages are very big and comfortable. AC was working fine, television not that much because of the bad signal on the island. But you won't need a tv because you should go out to enjoy the beaches. Same for the Wifi. The hotel has a very nice beach to view the sunset and to swim in the sea (only during the right timings). The Staff was very very nice, the food good and the whole hotel is very clean. Overall I had a nice stay at would come back.

On the Hotels.com pages there was stated that there is wired internet in the room. However, the only place with internet was the hotel bar (of course you need to buy something in the bar in order to get access to the internet).

Wir hatten als "älteres Paar" (55 und 65 Jahre) 20 Tage im Symphony Palms gebucht. Das war wagemutig, weil wir nicht wussten was auf uns zukam. Die Anlage ist in zwei Bereiche geteilt, die durch eine Straße getrennt sind. Der Hauptbereich mit Rezeption, Restaurant und der Mehrzahl der Unterkünfte liegt auf der Seite ohne direkte Strrandsicht. Ein anderer Bereich mit ca 20 Häuschen (gegen ca. 20€ Aufpreis) ist traumhaft ganz in der Nähe des sehr gepflegten Strandes gelegen. Das war es uns wert! Der Ort erfüllt in der Tat so alle Klischees, die man von einem Tropenparadies hat. Äußerst beeindruckt waren wir von dem superfreundlichen, aufmerksamen Servicepersonal. Es entstand sehr viel herzliche, persönliche Nähe.Der Gästekreis besteht überwiegend aus (gutverdienenden) Indern, darunter viele junge Honeymoon-Paare.Dem trägt sauch das Restaurantangebot Rechnung. Die Küche ist absolut gut, das Frühstücks-buffet üppig undSonderwünsche werde gerne ohne Aufpreis erfüllt. Köstlich ist das hervorragend frisch die die Fische und Krustentiere (Tigerprawns), sollte man für den europäischen Gaumen aber lieber "en nature" gegart betsellen. Wichtig ist in der Hochsaison Mitte Dezember bis Mitte Januar frühzeitig die Fährtickets nach und von Havelock zu organisieren. Wir hätten ohne große Probleme bekommen, unseren Flieger zu erreichen, wenn die Hotelleitung nicht geholfen hätte. Anita Edelmann und Wilfried Seitz

As it was out of season the resort was quiet and relaxed. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A brilliant location and the food was great!

This hotel is not worth the money. It's way over priced with no value. We stayed 5 long days here and each day by 5pm the cleaning staff didn't make up the room. We had to ask, and got dirty looks from the front desk. Our room wasn't sealed properly has a lot of bugs in the room. No hot water and A/C turns off at about 6pm.

Description of rooms is misleading, ie rooms sold by the tag "beach facing" are not really facing the beach or giving a view of th beach from windows. In all areas Service was very slow and unremarkable. No running hot water. Restaurant staff not very forthcoming and again very slow service. Had to change rooms as main door when closed had a big gap between frame and door and wash pipe in the toilet was leaking. Rooms are not well cleaned by staff. For the price i paid could get a five star excellent service in Mumbai instead. Cost was not justified.

Staff were not helpful, we had paid for an extra mattress for an extra person which they had not prepared and gave us a thin old mattress on the floor. The beds were uncomfortable and the breakfast was terrible. Overpriced for the quality of service. They also ring every morning at 6am with Chai.

Our stay was very good. But Wifi in needed in rooms.

Viinit voi unohtaa ja GT:n tilaus ei onnistu, koska ei ole tonickia. Riksataksit halpoja. Yleensä yhden reitin ajaminen maksaa n. 100 rupia. Intialaiset hyvin ystävällisiä. Ulkona ruokaolu edullista. Hygieniapullo kannattaa olla aina mukana käsienpesuun, sillä hygieniataso Intiassa on huono. Kaikki roskat heitetään luontoon.

the hotel needs to be maintained more better by the staff.........though they are helpful the maintenance is lacking............the tariff is much more than the surrounding hotels...so please check out the others and you may find a better deal.

The hotel is ok as per standards outside, but in havelock as compared to other places (which had tents and huts) this was nice (wooden structure). The rooms are very close to each other and bathroom is ok. You don't have hot water facility in it. no geyser. while booking I thought it opens on a beach, but thats only for lagoon cottages. The rest are on the other side of the road, though not far. The arrangement and view on the beach side is nice. Food is overpriced. Though overall a nice hotel as compared to the other ones in havelock.

Hotel symphony palms is one of the best properties on the island. The cottages towards the beach offer a very beautiful view to nature. the rooms are very spacious and well maintained. the staff is very warm and helpful. The cottages are spread over a very large area hence there is no room service. Also hot water is not available. It is walking distance from govind nagar which has a reasonably good market and eating joints. My favorite eating joint was 'Welcome Restaurant'( a dhaba) which serves very good veg and non veg dishes. Overall a very good experience!

Der 6.30h Earlymorningtea serviert ans Zimmer (die Sonne steht dann schon recht hoch,(Indianstandardtime) dafür wird's um 17.30h schom dunkel). habe ich sehr genossen. Einfaches Indisches Frühstücksbuffet im 2 Geschossigen offenen Restaurant. Kein Internet. Sehr geräumige schön eingerichtete Bungalovs. Der vom Meer weiter entfernte neuerere Teil der Anlage ist weiträumiger angelegt, doch die Palmen sind dafür zum Teil noch sehr klein. Hotel direkt am schönen weissen Sandstrand. Schwimmen bei Ebbe schwierig aber möglich. 5 Min. zu Fuss bis zum Dorf mit guten Verplegungsmöglichkeiten. Rollervermietung gleich neben an.

Siamo stati soddisfatti in quasi tutti i aspetti. L'unica cosa che ci aspettevamo ma non c'era proprio, l'acqua calda per la doccia. Considerando il prezzo comunque altino ci aspettevammo un piccolo riscaldabagno o almeno un contenitore d'acqua sul tetto che si riscalda con il calore del sole. Non c'era scritto da nessuna parte l'inesistenza del acqua calda.. Per il resto tutto bellissimo.

Morgenmaden en gang rodet sammenblanding af europæisk og indisk mad. Trænger til at få en supervisor der kan fortælle hvad man bør sætte på bordet når der kommer både indiske og vestlige gæster. Der mangler den hygge og venlighed hos personalet, .der gør at man føler sig hjemme

This hotel has two parts - on either side of the main road, it would do good to choose the one between the road & the beach - it is only 30 metres or so from the beautiful beach. you cannot see the sea from any room but the overall ambience is great and the proximity & quietness of the govind nagar beach is great, we found it even better that the much reviewed radha nagar beach

Great hotel and have nice booking

Жили 2 ночи-в начале возле моря,затем-за дорогой. Первый коттедж понравился больше-красивее. Но в целом все хорошо-огромные номера. Кондиционер и телевизор. Не смогли добиться того,чтобы была горячая вода,но это не мешало. На ресепшен подсказали расписание паромов на Нейл. Удобно расположенны столик и стулья на веранде-можно посидеть.Также близко от деревни 3-пешком минут 10-15. По утрам приносят чай.

I stayed at this resort for 2 nights. It's a beautiful resort and complete value for money. The cottages are neat and tidy and so are the premises. The lagoon cottages are very near to the sea. The resort has one of the best restaurants on the island. Only thing to take care of is that if you book online through hotels.com or expedia or any other third-party websites, make sure that you call the hotel to confirm as well. When I booked the receipt said I had a booking for a 'lagoon' room while the actual booking was done for a 'cottage' room (which is also nice just a little farther from the beach). Hotel staff were cooperative and still provided us a lagoon room but they say it's a regular incidence and may not always be as accommodating.

Buona posizione, vicino al village N.3; ottimi spazi comuni tra cui un bellissimo giardino. La stanza è molto spaziosa e con un bel terrazzino. La pulizia non è il punto di forza (come in generale un pò in tutta l'India) e la carta igienica me la sono comprata io. Nel complesso è una buona struttura.

havelock is a place one must visit and no doubt there are excellent resorts in havelock, symphony palms beach resort is a beautifull, clean and cozy hotel on govind nagar beach. though the beach is okay however the hotel and its service are good and worth the stay.
