Amazing views from the pool and our unit. Not too far away from good restaurants if you have a car or willing to grab a gab. Friendly staff

We initially had an issue with a blocked toilet and bathtub with a stuck plug but the staff were excellent in resolving this very quickly.

As piscinas são muito boas, com uma vista espetacular para o mar. Os quartos são espaçosos. A zona do lobby é muito bonita e com uns sofás muito confortáveis para ler um livro e ver o mar. A comida tradicional do restaurante é boa e os funcionários muito simpáticos.

O hotel precisa de ser remodelado: os cortinados e o colchão do quarto em que fiquei estão velhos e precisam de ser mudados; os corredores e as escadas para os quartos também precisam de ser renovados. A fruta do pequeno-almoço tinha pouco sabor. Por vezes, demoravam muito a repor as coisas do pequeno-almoço. A pizza do restaurante do hotel é muito fraca (é das congeladas - não aconselho).

I would like to start with two positive things, the only ones I found: the hotel has a beautiful location with a nice external structure, and the two musicians playing in the evening, AJDUO, are absolutely extraordinary and were the best part of our stay. I also want to mention that the staff boys were very nice and sweet. The real problem here is the management, as the maintenance and safety standards are completely unacceptable for a 5-star resort. Upon arrival, our bathroom was dirty and I had to ask twice to have it cleaned. Later, the room suffered a massive structural humidity failure before we could even use it: we went out for dinner, and when we came back the walls, mirrors, and glass were dripping wet, completely soaking the room and damaging our clothes and official passports! The staff moved us only after we firmly demanded a supervisor inspect the damage, and it was already 9 PM but they informed us that no manager or person in charge was available on-site until the following morning. Furthermore, in the new room, they explicitly asked us to keep the AC temperature at 20-23 degrees to prevent the problem from happening again, forcing us to freeze inside. The property is unsafe and falling apart: in the pool area, the tiles are completely coming off, the grouting is gone, the sharp edges can easily cut your feet, and the wooden floorboards of the outdoor pool shower are broken, lifting up, and extremely dangerous. We noticed this because my partner almost fell and got hurt there. The common areas are also poorly maintained: the pool table room is half-broken and the AC inside was completely out of service. As compensation for the room disaster, the management promised a 'special dinner', which turned out to be just a cheap, standard half-board set menu.

To make it worse, at check-out they even charged us for the drinks, even though we only ordered a small supermarket-style bottle of water and two flutes of very basic wine just not to take advantage of the situation. When we pointed this out, the receptionist claimed she could only cover the water, but then the manager stepped in, shamelessly lying to us and using the 'internal policy' excuse to force us to pay for everything, including the water. Moving us to a dry room was mandatory since the first one was uninhabitable, so the hotel offered zero real compensation for ruining our documents and clothes. I could talk about a lot of other disastrous things, but I will stop here. I have photographic evidence of everything: the flooded room, the dirty toilet, the broken pool shower wood, and the missing pool tiles. Great musicians and sweet staff, but terrible management and fake 5-star service.

Me gustó mucho las vistas desde la habitación al mar ! Las camas súper cómodas y todo muy limpio y tranquilo . La piscina infinita con vistas muy bonitas del atardecer. El desayuno completo y rico. Lugar muy tranquilo y bonito, lo tienen todo muy cuidado. Fue el cumpleaños de mi pareja y le dieron una tarta con velas! Cuidan todos los detalles ! Personal muy amable y con una sonrisa siempre !

First of all, I agree with other travellers' reviews as far as kindness, cleanliness and friendliness of staff is concerned. What I'm extremely bothered nobody mentioned in one single review is thescoustic pollution that haunts this resort There are huge cooling motors and engines everywhere in front of every single door of every single block and the noise is absolutely obnoxious. I immediately asked for a change of my room and I was offered other options on the same category ( I booked with Voyage Prive) but there was no difference as the buildings are all with these horrible engines in front of the doors which have no insulation so imagine the noise. A noise that goes on 24/7. Not what you expect to find after 24 hours flight...I might ss well xtay at home and enjoy my sleep. On the second day, after a terrifying night, I asked again if tnere was really no other quieter accomodation. I was shown another room category that had less noisy engines outside but still annoying for 100 Euros a night. In the end we have been sleeping with the balcony door open so as the sound of the sea has bedn able to mitigate the noise outdoors. I'm a 5 star hotel traveller and the only 2 other times I found myself in a situation l8ke this I have always been listened and treTed as a respected guest. Not this time. As for the amazing view, have a look at the pictures below to enjoy the eco monsters from the pool that is in need of serious maintenance. Unfortunately, a very disappointing stay. And it was also my birthday....oh yes they made me a happy birthday on my hotel sheets with a nice card from the maid to ask for a review. The work was very well done sweetheart, but I'm also fed up when I read reviews about a hotel to find a listof names to thank. Travellers review the i.pirtant features not the single employee, who cares when you are on location????? Tripadvisor should notbecome an employee of the month site, or if it does, it has completely lost its purpose.

Friendly staff made navigating the massive resort simple and stress free, the constant ocean views were a big perk

Given the location of the hotel walking to the main town wasn’t much of an option but the hotel makes up for that by suppling a free shuttle bus to the nearby beach and into town, allowing guests to select a “pick up time” in town

The sea views from our balcony were phenomenal and we enjoyed the views from the swimming pools as well. We never had to wait long for a golf buggy to drive us up the steep hill to our room.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Dishes were not refilled for long periods of time from milk and fresh juices to bread and fruit (photos below). Food that was supposed to be hot was not (sausages and chicken satay) which is a case of food poisoning waiting to happen. Also, some dishes that should have been chilled were not eg. the cheese plates which resulted in the cheese melting into the dish (photo below). The swimming pool bar was also unmanned for significant period of times leading to us being unable to order drinks or having to wait until a staff member eventually appeared. I am unsure as to whether these issues above were due to under-staffing or inadequate training of staff. There were only 4 shuttle buses a day down to Kamala beach. Both swimming pools were closed on our second last day - all morning and into the afternoon.

Location, just out of the way, we had a Scooter to get out and about otherwise need to use Tuk Tuk or Hotel shuttle. Shuttle times could be extended. Staff, Buggy drivers and cleaner Tata, Breakfast staff also. Breakfast area was spotless and staff very attentive . Breakfast with a view.

Other Holiday makers not supervising their Children at Breakfast time, Staff should be able to ask Parents to watch them. Lack of pegs to hang towels and clothes in Bathroom.

What an amazing time i had namaka made the whoke trip to thailand. Making home from home insode out. The most beautiful hotel in thailand and i stayed on 5 islands with namaka being my base of ny stay. Firstly when checking ij the most wonderful night manager Tony. Very respectful, friendly & welcoming person, i instantly felt at home... a great man and amazing human being, Tony went above and beyond. I thank you beyond words Tony. Wishing there were more Tonys in the world but there can be only 1✨️ The cleanness of the whole hotel.. every room was just simply STUNNINGLY CLEAN!! If you stay anyway in thailand its bliss but the namaka is the no1 of all 1000% it was home for me & always will be. Lastly my forever friend Tata my lady who cleaned my room to a standard i couldnt have imagined. Her smile, manners & respect is the first thing i was met with on the beginning of my stay. Tata you are truly a credit to namaka and im very lucky to have met you. Thank you more than words can express. Amazing beautiful resort, me and my husband went to Thailand for the first time I recommend Kamala for a quiet beach life but can go to cities 20 minutes away for more fun. The hotel is right near the beach it is uphill but they have golf carts to help you up and down to the lift.

I truly love all the staff, especially Honey. she’s truly the best of the best. I absolutely love her touch; it’s so thoughtful and always makes me happy. The moment I enter the room, I can see the care she puts into everything. A very nice hotel with a fantastic hillside location and beautiful views. The hotel is quite secluded, and you need to take a taxi to get to the village. However, the hotel does offer free shuttles a few times a day. The rooms are rather small but adequate. The only area for improvement is the bathroom, as it floods after showering in the bathtub. The restaurants are okay, as is the food. There are several pools and a pool bar. The outstanding feature, however, is the excellent and friendly staff, who even made my wife's birthday a lovely one.

The resort is so lovely with several amenities such as two swimming pools, multiple dining rooms with tasty food, driving carts that get you around places in Kamala, etc. The staff are SO amazing, they're super helpful and insanely friendly, always responding to requests really quick and always with a smile. Special thanks to Klauy, a member of the cleaning staff, who has continuously helped us whenever we asked and has been super nice to us throughout our stay!

The property itself was spectacular the view was my favourite part and the space of everything was perfect, it was easy to navigate where everything was and everything felt safe.

The only downfall is that the breakfast wasn’t amazing for how much you pay. it was 32 aud and in my opinion the variety and selection was very brief, they did have good options but it was very selective and not great for someone who has quite a few food sensitivities,

I could not describe just how attentive and joyful all staff are in this hotel from service staff, chefs, cleaners, luggage assistants and especially all the pool bar staff (@Mild and others), I wish I was able name all the staff who have made this trip so memorable through their dedication to accommodating us!!! The staff in Namaka are worth their weight in gold and go above and beyond to meet your needs for the duration of your trip.

Everything was great. Starting with the 'Check - In ' experience, ...all the Reception staff .:-Nukarn,Tha,,Eye,Irin,Aun were very welcoming and courteous. Khun Tony from reception was exceptionally efficient and pleasant.Special 'kudos' to him. Bell - Boy team :Naif,Fairut,Navin,Eng were all very helpful. Blue Sea Restaurant - Breakfast team :Preaw,May,Mind,Beach .. all very good. Namaka has always held a special place in our hearts. This was our second visit. The friendliness of the staff and the prompt service has never failed to impress us.

It was our second visit to NAMAKA RESORT KAMALA. The stay fulfilled all our expectations formed during our earlier visit. Beautiful & clean! The property is very well maintained with good swimming pools. ....and has a great view as it is on a hill....with most rooms facing the sea. The shuttle service to Kamala Beach during the day can be increased to have a couple shuttles in the evening too . The breakfast is really nice with international & local dishes too. The staff is what really compels one to come back to this beautiful place.

I had a truly exceptional stay at Namaka Resort. From the moment I arrived, the staff made a wonderful impression — they were incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The level of service was genuinely top-notch. The views from the resort are absolutely stunning and made the entire experience even more memorable. Waking up to such beautiful scenery every day was something special. The only small downside was that the breakfast selection was a bit limited and could be more varied. However, this did not take away from the overall quality of my stay at all. I would definitely recommend this resort — it was a fantastic experience.

I've been to Thailand many times. I chose Kalama because of the view. The room with a sea view is gorgeous. The breakfasts are similar, but the food is very high quality. Very quiet, the standard and location are very high. Nearby premium hotels. The grounds, gardens, and pools are top-notch. I recommend it. This is not my first time at a resort in Thailand and to be honest there were some things that need highlighting. Such as the lack of a lift in the accommodation needs highlighting. The pool had large deposits of Algae that transferred to your clothes. The finish in the rooms should of been higher but was very much a rushed job.

resort is not facing true west... it points a bit north , so not yhe best sunsets views... i love sunsets so not really a deal breaker for me, but resort is on a hill and not all buikdongs have lifts...

One of best hotel in Kamala beach, service and food are fabulous. Staff are friendly and breakfast is rich. Best is live music from AJ Duo on the roof top restaurant… Pool and the bar is fun. Suit with family and couples. 💕 recommended

אהבנו הכל! אחד המלונות הטובים שהיינו בהם! המיקום מבודד מעט אז שקט ורגוע וזה רק יתרון. כשרצינו לנסוע למקום מרוחק השתמשנו במוניות בקלי קלות, ולחוף kamala יש הסעות של המלון. היחס, השירות, האוכל, הכל פשוט מעולה. הייתה לנו בעיה קטנה במזגן, ביקשתי שיסדרו את זה, תוך 10 דקות הגיעו ותיקנו הכל. כל בקשה שלנו נענתה בחיוב ועם חיוך. באמת שזאת הייתה בחירה פשוט מושלמת. ממליצה בחום רב מכל הלב.

הרצפה בחדר הייתה מעט מלוכלכת אבל מרוב שכל השאר היה מושלם אז אפילו לא התייחסנו לזה. אני בטוחה שאם היינו מבקשים היו מסדרים גם את זה.

Amazing place to stay, fantastic views of the ocean and Kamala beach, unbelievable swimming pools and a great all round stay, the staff were super friendly, helpful and happy! Really amazing!

Only 1 thing I didn’t like was the air-con, it was extremely loud and it was either on or off with no way of escaping the noise when it was switched on, which is almost always as the room gets very hot otherwise.

The property looks great and beautiful from the exterior. And the pool was amazing. The restaurant was good and also looked very nice. Staff were very kind and helpful.

The room we stayed in wasn’t very nice. The bed was two singles pushed together to make it look like a queen bed and was not comfortable, and my partner almost fell through the gap during the night. The mirror was dirty and bath room window glass had white stains and hand prints over it. Inside the bath room next to the door I noticed mold like substances stained and growing on the walls. I paid a decent amount for what was said to be a “5” star hotel, I was pretty upset.

The cleaning in the room was not really on a 5 star level, with dust in some areas and even small cobwebs on the ceiling. Also the food at the restaurant was average to say best, we recommend going down the village for a nicer meal at cheaper prices
