I have NEVER been anywhere where there has been a more attentive hostess as what Karen, the owner, was! Her guests and their needs really matter to her and it showed. The whole house was spotless, there was plenty of room, there was plenty of parking too and a lovely garden. We had a wonderful plentiful breakfast with whatever we required. The house was well situated just outside of Knutsford, very easy to access. It was disabled friendly too with a room to suit. Definitely recommend.

Karen and Carl were both very friendly and welcoming. It was like being welcomed into their home, not a faceless hotel. Everywhere was clean, tidy and no request was too much. They were very accommodating and keen to make sure my stay was happy and comfortable and that I had everything I needed. Local food recommendations were particularly helpful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. I will definitely be staying again when I'm in the area.

Freshly cooked breakfast was fabulous, with good choice of food and drinks. Karen and Karl were great hosts. Information provided was on point and nothing was too much trouble. I would book this facility again and would happily recommend also. Great surroundings and in close proximity to a venue I was attending for a wedding.

Lovely property excellent hosts Karen & Karl couldn’t have been any more accommodating. We would not hesitate to stay again if we’re in the area.

Beautiful room, incredibly clean. Greeted with a warm smile and friendly demeanor upon arrival and bags were taken to my room. No request is too big and a delicious cooked breakfast is made fresh for you in the morning. Karen and Karl are lovely and really go out their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We had a wonderful time at Laburnum Cottage. We stayed in Room 3. Very clean and catered for. The hosts are lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended.

The bed was a little on the firm side. But each to their own asI like a super soft mattress, which isn't for everyone's tastes.

Perfectly located for attending a wedding at Colshaw Hall, with the added bonus of off-street parking. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and all the facilities were excellent. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

What a beautiful Cottage, My hosts Karen and Carl so welcoming and I had the most wonderful and relaxing time there, in my room overlooking trees and in the amazing garden. Spot on for my needs

Comfy, cosy, clean and a beautiful location. Friendly hosts who were very helpful in guiding us through the best spots to visit and the best transport options during our trip in to the town centre. Could not of asked for more and would definitely use again for future trips.

The bright comfortable room was clean and had everything I needed. The hosts were friendly, kind and helpful accommodating my arrival time, helping with cases and meeting my dietary needs. The breakfast was exceptional- nothing was too much trouble and I felt welcome and valued - I highly recommend a stay here. The location is great too - easy access to a range of amenities and the lovely Tatton park as well as historic Knutsford. Do pay them a visit!

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome. My room was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. I asked if I could bring a take away into the guest house as I had missed dinner not only was I advised about the best local spots I was also given a plate and cutlery to be able to enjoy my meal.

I cannot fault anything with Laburnum Guest House.

Booked three rooms and all were comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The hosts were excellent and provided everything we needed. Felt very much like home from home. Great location for the Merrydale Manor. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking in the area.

Owners are very welcoming, breakfast was fantastic - location was a 5 min taxi ride out of Knutsford town.

Beautiful room x 2 (singles), very clean and comfortable beds. Quiet at night even though right on a road. Couldn’t hear anything at all. The welcome we received from Karen and Karl was friendly, welcoming and they ensured we had everything we needed. Karen and Karl also remembered our names, and other guests names, throughout our stay, which showed how attentive they were. Breakfast was delicious, even for my bro who doesn’t eat pork and is fussy about veggie sausages and really enjoyed his (I think a little bit of above and beyond happened here to get the right ones for him). Would absolutely recommend this guest house and would absolutely stay again if up this way.

Karen and Carl were great hosts. Asked for an early check in due to going to a wedding and it proved no bother. Karen was very punctual in replying to messages and even recommended taxi firm to help us get to the venue and back. The room (twin room) was great. Comfy bed and two pillows! Bathroom was clean and even had toiletries (shower gel etc). Breakfast was great, a full English but also had continental option too. I would definitely recommend laburnum cottage guest house - we had a great stay, thank you Karen and Carl!

Really friendly and helpful, and we had a car emergency late at night and needed another room, which they sorted without any issues and also offered to come and collect us. How lovely to stay with such wonderful people. If anyone is visiting Lapland, they are only 15 mins away, so it would be a great place to stay. Would happily stay again, and recommend.

Karen and her husband (I didn't catch his name, sorry!) are both really lovely people and it was a pleasure to stay at their guest house. There is a road closure at the moment on the road that leads to the house, and Karen called me to let me know when I was on my way & her husband also talked me through the shortcut the locals take so I didn't have to do the 10 mile detour! The room was perfect for one person and was spotless. Karen also cooks a great breakfast. Thank you!

Karl and Karen were the perfect hosts from start to finish. Checking in with us before our stay, helping us navigate around a road closure, and even kindly lending me cufflinks (which I forgot) !

What a great b&b, we were at a wedding locally and they let us book in early, gave taxi info, the communication was amazing. They called us on route as there was a road closure and diversion in place which would have delayed us. They guided us in, so kind and thoughtful. The hosts were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was really nice, all the little touches were appreciated. The bed was soooooo comfy! The breakfast was delicious, we really enjoyed, was a welcome delight after the night before. All in all this b&b was an amazing find. Could not fault it in any way. Thank you so much

Spotless rooms and bathroom, a great breakfast, friendly and welcoming hosts and very convenient location for Knutsford and surrounding areas....faultless!

Such a warm welcome, gorgeous room, comfy, clean and an excellent en suite. Easy parking, tea and coffee/hot chocolate making facilities in the room. A decent, made to order breakfast as well as cereals, juices and offers of extra toast and drinks refills.

They’re doing a brilliant job, nothing negative to feedback from our stay there.

Very warm welcome from the owners (Karl & Karen) and a great sized, well decorated and clean room. Breakfast was excellent and the location is in a nice quiet area on the edge of Knutsford (but still close enough to walk into town).

Host was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and breakfast was lovely. Brilliant local pub nearby, had a lovely evening there.

I found the bed and pillows a bit uncomfortable. Maybe access to additional pillows would be helpful. We were at the front of the house and road outside very busy and noisy.

Owners were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed and on hand for transport advice etc. Breakfast was really good and when a couple from our party didn’t manage to make breakfast they provided take out bacon sandwiches.
