Provider-sourced guest reviews.
We booked for a night away, and had the most wonderful afternoon/ evening. We watched the sunset on the terrace overlooking the river with a cocktail which was delicious. We then headed up to our room for a relaxing bath in front of the window followed by a very comfortable sleep. The rooms are decorated so beautifully and all the products and amenities were fantastic. All the staff were so helpful and lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Comfy bed and great views over the river
The property felt a little tired as was the bedroom which was a little dated . We were woken up at 5 in the morning by the consistant banging of the kitchen door below us that was apparently broken . Had a very bad nights sleep
Beautiful hotel and great restaurant. Gorgeous view across the river
Nothing
Location and access to the Thames River. Bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The view from our room of the Thames was restricted
We had our wedding at the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond and it was the most incredible day / weekend of our lives! Laure our wedding planning was amazing throughout the whole process, especially as we planned our wedding at relatively short notice, the wedding package they offered meant that everything was easy to organise and knowing we had an amazing wedding planner supporting us made the whole experience so relaxing and enjoyable! The venue itself is stunning, walking down the aisle and seeing the river and the Bingham's gorgeous garden was one of my highlights, as well as the great food and general wellness vibe of the hotel. We hired all of the rooms for our wedding night as part of the package and they were all stunning. Staff all really friendly and warm as well. Highly recommend the Bingham for your wedding/event.
Underwhelming experience. Prior to my reservation I had received prompt communication with Bingham Riverhouse in the planning of afternoon tea for my senior mum. We were greeted well and sat promptly. I had specifically requested the bhutea afternoon tea which at £42 was expensive for very little. The customer service soon became non existent, we were left for long periods of time without anyone checking how we were doing of if more tea was required. We asked more than once for some extra plates and cutlery and our request was ignored. A large party soon appeared and staff were more attentive to them than to us. My booking was looking forward to this but sadly it didn’t meet our expectations and was very expensive. I won’t be returning neither would I recommend Bingham Riverhouse.
Bingham Riverhouse is suitable for a backpacker stay. There is little customer service and the biggest disappointment was the television from the 1990s that does not allow you to play Netflix etc. I found it particularly disturbing the staff lied and pretended they had a MAC cable to allow access from computer to TV . The staff on two shifts lied and pretended to be able to help. This is fine for a backpacker stay. Beyond that seek another hotel with customer service and televisions from the modern era.
This was certainly not all bad. The river views and decor were superb. Some of the staff were very good. We really appreciated the extra touch of a free dessert and congratulatory plate for our daughter. However, we were disappointed. The menu was not inspiring - certainly poor compared to the spring menu - and did not have a good selection of gluten free options. Considering the menu is so limited, it's particularly disappointing to run out of one of the two meat dishes. In a panic, having previously placed an order for pork, we chose the gnocchi - the most underwhelming dish any of us have ever had the misfortune to order! Raw tomatoes, a lump of burrata and plain boiled gnocchi DO NOT make a meal but the sort of supper I might throw together in a hurry. It wasn't exactly bad - the flavours were good - but everything was cold and there was no sauce. The steak we ordered was OK - but nothing special at all. The fish was OK as well, but very plain. We were so looking forward to it, having travelled quite a distance - but the whole thing was underwhelming. The waitress knocked off my husband's jacket three times without apologising or picking it up and when she brought out the potatoes ( which we'd cancelled earlier due to the unavailability of the meat) she looked baffled as to why we didn't want them. As I said, some of the staff were good. This is not a cheap restaurant and we felt that it was very much style over substance. Gluten free options should certainly be improved as well. It's obviously a popular restaurant but it did not impress at all for our special occasion. PS. It was totally impossible to park anywhere remotely close.
Very stylish, food great, location great, staff extremely helpful and larger room very good
One room a little small and in need of refurbishing
Great history, amazing location and really friendly staff.
Nothing
The Bingham Riverhouse hosted our wedding reception. The day was everything we imagined and more. It was perfect. The staff were professional and attentive and went above and beyond. We were all well looked after and everyone had an amazing time.
I am writing this review on behalf of my friend Anthony who recently stayed at the Bingham on a short break. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and took great care going out of their way to make Anthony feel welcome and accommodated and to make his stay comfortable. Anthony had chosen to room book different room types during his visit as the River View was not available throughout the stay and the staff assisted him and made the room moves very easy. It was during the recent heatwave and thanks to Zindene worked to make sure the the air conditioning units blasted cold air as per Anthony’s request. Based on the teams warmth and welcome I would certainly recommend the Bingham as a charming place to stay as well as the lovely river views. A shout out and thanks to Sufian, Paola, Ana, Jasmin, Julia, Jeronimo, James for their warmth throughout Antony’s stay and also big thanks for the support to successfully retrieve his wallet which had been left in the taxi on arrival at the hotel! If anyone has accessible or special requirements do liaise with the Bingham prior to booking as the age and layout of the building which is very much part of the charm could mean it is not suitable for some guests with mobility issues or guests who are not able to use the stairs.
Another wonderful evening enjoyed at the Bingham Riverhouse. The whole experience from the moment you walk in - is exceptional and a special mention to Lukas for looking after us. Thank you to the Team for a lovely evening.
Wonderful location , very friendly staff
We got married in May at The Bingham and couldn't have been looked after better. The entire team made the whole day completely seamless, and we had so many guests tell us it was the best event they had ever been to! We were very lucky to have such a great planner in Laure! Everyone goes above and beyond to help you and makes you feel truly special throughout the whole experience. An 11/10 from us — we couldn't recommend The Bingham more highly! x
Drawn to the idea of a summer market menu however the package was disappointing. The shutters were closed which meant no view or fresh air. Disappointing as the river is a key part of the attraction. A loud group and overly friendly dog wandering around spoilt the evening for us. Food was okay but felt it didn't live up to the promise.
Our wedding reception at Bingham Riverhouse was nothing short of extraordinary. We chose the intimate package - which was perfect for what we had envisioned for ourselves. This included a two-night stay in their Best River Room, which (as its name would suggest), offered absolutely gorgeous views of the river. A special thank you goes to our wedding planner, Stacey, whose professionalism, organisation and attention to detail made the entire planning process so easy for us (or as easy as possible! ). Also thanks to our servers on the day, Hassan and Rosie, for making sure all our guests were taken care of. Every detail was accounted for - not only for us, but also for our guests who were also staying at the Riverhouse for the wedding. We are so grateful to the team - they helped create some very precious memories that we will hold on to for a lifetime. We're already thinking about coming back for our one-year anniversary!
No riverside view ! It was a sunny day and we asked to be sat outside which was declined due to some works . We sat in the restaurant and outside the glass doors were chairs and table piled up - that was our view .lAnother guest asked for them be moved , a small shuffle but nowhere for them to go . Menu uninspiring and over priced and the food adequate at best . Atmosphere very lacking . our bill was £140 for one drink each , salad starter and catch of the day . Over all such a disappointing experience. .
Location and food
Room near road was noisy
We recently had our wedding at Bingham Riverhouse, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Our point of contact throughout; Laure, was nothing short of amazing throughout the entire planning process. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and calm approach gave us complete confidence every step of the way. On the day itself, the staff made everything feel effortless and seamless. The weather was beautiful overall, but there were some unpredictable moments, and the team handled everything brilliantly, adapting calmly and ensuring the day ran perfectly without any stress for us or our guests. The setting and location is beautiful. The food was absolutely outstanding. One of our biggest concerns when choosing a venue was whether the quality would remain high when catering for a larger wedding party. We had 67day guests, and every single person commented on how incredible the food was. It genuinely exceeded expectations and was every bit as good as a restaurant-quality dining experience. The venue’s preferred suppliers were another huge highlight. The Marten String Quartet created the most beautiful atmosphere throughout the day, and Joanna, our florist, completely exceeded our expectations with stunning arrangements that brought everything to life. Having access to such talented and trusted vendors made the planning process so much easier and added so much to the overall experience. The venue itself is stunning, the rooms were lovely, and the setting created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day in a more perfect place. A huge thank you to Laure and the entire Bingham Riverhouse team for creating such a special experience. We would recommend it without hesitation to anyone considering it for their wedding.
We had our wedding at the Bingham Riverhouse in May 2026, working with Laure and the Events team. It was sincerely perfect, all because of Laure's guidance and expertise during the planning process. The food, drinks, setting, and location were perfect - there's nothing we would have changed! We couldn't be happier with how the day went, and can highly recommend the Bingham as a wedding venue, particularly if you're working with Laure. We loved staying in the Bingham the weekend of our wedding as well - the Baudelaire room is gorgeous and we already want to go back. Thank you to all of the staff at the Bingham but especially Laure, Shari and Giancarlo.
Location Breakfast
Noisy in front rooms Ac was not working
A table for 3 on the terrace fantastic Lovely cocktails to start - perfect for.a Friday evening overlooking the Thames Then the main event - the food Wowwww every course was amazing - served beautifully big should out for the risotto starter and mushroom gratin starter - heaven on a plate Main course lamb - was cooked perfectly Was a lovely venue especially on the terrace - great food and wine And 10/10 for the service Will definitely return and would highly recommend
The location & white fluffy towels
How scruffy the decor is, room needed numerous repairs, the high noise levels within the building throughout the night & early morning. Pillows were uncomfortable
Location, right on the Thames on a beautiful day. We rode the bikes along the river that was supplied by the hotel. Great vibe - highly recommended.
Nothing!
We absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed in Constancy overlooking the Thames and had fabulous walks to Kew Gardens and along the river. We had the best Sunday lunch in the restaurant and really enjoyed the breakfasts. The staff were lovely (special mention for the very charming and efficient James!) and made our stay very special.
The most beautiful and calming atmosphere and they love dogs

Wonderfully unique. Fabulous location. Great food and drinks and extremely friendly staff
Elegant and lovely, whilst maintaining a gfamily feel, with attentive service and friendly staff. We love staying here when in or around London. The riverside location is also a massive plus.
The Bingham Riverside Hotel is a fantastic small hotel offering exceptional customer service, rooms and location with true character and spotlessly clean. From our first contact on arrival to our departure staff were attentive helpful and appeared genuinely intent on providing us with a relaxing 2 night stay. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was excellent. Access direct to the Thames river path and within easy reach of Richmond train station I cannot recommend the Bingham Riverside Hotel highly enough.
This hotel was in an excellent location by the river with river views and easy access to local restaurants and amenities. The staff were exceptional, courteous, helpful, and always available to assist guests. The room I stayed in was warm, comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated with homely touches and had everything that I needed. Overall the hotel provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere aided by the decor and facilities. The food was also of a very high quality. I found it good value for money and I would love to return at some point for another stay.
Staff and hotel were lovely
Due to a wedding we were not able to enjoy tge garden on the river
Amy and Geronimo were awesome at helping get everything ready for our launch day at the house… the Tomorrows Potential cohort loved the whole experience there!! Especially the sound bath 🧘♂️
The staff and very lovely rooms
Little dark inside
I came here for a mid-afternoon snack here while passing by on my way to a haircut. The staff were extremely friendly and were very kind and helpful. The service was absolutely excellent. The food and drink were amazing. I would most certainly return.
Preposterous breakfast set up, complete ripoff
Rooms are pokey and dingy
Such a beautiful location, gorgeous rooms, kind, friendly staff, super personal service. Highly recommended and a big thanks to the team for looking after me and my mum so well. Also the Sunday roast is off the charts good !
I had such a special stay at Bingham Riverhouse. From the moment I arrived, it just felt calm, welcoming, and easy to switch off. The food by Vanessa was incredible - every meal felt thoughtful and full of flavour. And Yulia’s cocktails were equally impressive. I also loved the wellness side of things. The meditation and qigong class helped me properly slow down, and the Bhuti massage was one of the most relaxing I’ve had. I stayed at SAPPHO room and let me tell you, I want that copper bathtub in my house! I left feeling genuinely rested and recharged - such a lovely experience all round.
This property is full of character and the location is perfect ... Sat right on the riverside it's perfect for exploring Richmond, the parks and nearby restaurants and bars (Scott's, Gouchos, etc) The good ... Stunning location, boutique style hotel, amazing breakfast, comfortable rooms, lovely staff (friendly and attentive) , facilities in room and bathroom great, lovely towels, cleanliness, lovely bar area and free parking Things to look into ... The heating in our room wasn't great and wouldn't set so we had to open the window. Our room was roadside so a lot of noise from traffic. (Ask for a room which overlooks the river) . Room was small so not a lot of room for bags etc .
5 breakfast five for the room five for staff five for everything else
Lovely location. Super helpful staff who are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is superb and the view of the river from the balcony is lovely
Nothing
Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as was meeting friends .
i’d only say the sign of the hotel outside as we drove past a couple of times trying to find it .
A beautifully curated experience, from atmospheric lighting, eccentric detailing, the hazy sent of incense that meanders through the halls, magnificent views of the Thames, delectable food and most importantly exceptional staff who make the stay feel like home
Staff and rooms
Perfect
The warm welcome. Loved the decor felt very decadent but very comfortable. Room was beautiful with amazing view of the river and comfortable bed.
Nothing
This is a quaint little boutique hotel with good location along the river, and a caring staff. The rooms are ok. It is an old house transformed to a hotel, so the hallways are awkward and narrow, the stairs are crooked, they do not have an elevator, overall you should not have high expectations. That said, the room was quite comfortable, every little detail was thought of. The bathroom was small, but again very well stocked with toiletries, bathrobes and towels. The breakfast buffet was very good for health seeking clients. They had many healthy options, fresh fruits, catering for different dietary restrictions, Gluten Free, vegan, etc..... The Yoga was amazing and overall it is a very good place to go and unwind for a couple of days. There are many different little areas to hvae a drink, or tea or sit and read a book. I highly recommend this hotel and I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.
We loved the location, next to the river. We also loved the cleanliness and the ambience in the hotel as a whole and our room especially the amazing bath!
There could have been a slip mat available for the bath. Otherwise, it was all prefect!
I had a wonderful time at the Bingham, a total reset, I was greeted with a ceremonial cacao and there was meditation happing in the garden space, The bath was just beautiful and soooo relaxing, the room and bed was luxurious and well maintained. It was such a treat and i felt so welcomed and cared for. The food was delicious and a great options for vegan. I highly recommend for anyone traveling solo in London that wants a wellness focused space to call home
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bingham Riverhouse and what truly sets this place apart is not just the beautiful riverside setting or the elegant interiors — it’s the people. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in several five-star luxury hotels, where everything is polished and perfectly choreographed. What makes Riverhouse different is that, alongside that attention to detail, there is a genuine warmth that cannot be trained — only cared about. The team’s passion for looking after guests is evident in every interaction. From arrival to departure, nothing feels transactional. The staff anticipate needs, remember preferences, and go beyond what is expected — not in a showy way, but in a thoughtful, human way. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel completely at home while still enjoying the comfort and refinement of a high-end stay. The rooms are beautifully designed, calm and considered. The setting on the river creates an immediate sense of escape. Breakfast and dining feel relaxed yet elevated. But above all, it’s the atmosphere created by the team that leaves the lasting impression. It’s rare to find a place that combines boutique charm, luxury standards, and heartfelt service so seamlessly. I left feeling genuinely looked after — and that, more than anything, is what brings you back.
We organised a business private meal for lunch on a Friday in February. We were about 30 people and were given a private perfectly-sized room and lovely decorated table. Since contacting the Events Team (shout out to Amy Braund) I was met with ultra prompt, detailed-driven and accommodating replies, and that was very much reflected on the day of the event where we felt that the organisation didn't lack anything. It was a wonderful organisation from start to finish. Everyone and I mean absolutely everyone had an amazing time. We had access to a terrace overlooking the river and our own bar, could play our own music and we were looked after by the staff (Sherry) and another lovely waitress for 4 hours. The food and drinks were delicious, the service great and the space, location and vibes were perfect. Super recommended! We will be back.
Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Beautiful location next to the river. All staff were courteous and unfailingly helpful. Room and ensuite spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed two very peaceful nights of sleep! Good choice of menu at breakfast; tasty healthy options. I thank you for the complimentary upgrade and look forward to returning again as there is so much to see and do in the area with excellent transport connections
We held our wedding at The Bingham, the whole experience was wonderful. Laure Meynieux was the event manager, her professionalism and kindness made the planning seamless. On the day the staff were wonderful and attentive and we along with our guests had the most wonderful celebration.
Enjoyed a comfortable stay even though the weather was awful. The food was good. Breakfast choices were good. The room was small but comfortable. Unfortunately on the last night there was no hot water due to a fault in the system but overall an enjoyable place to stay by the river and close to all the restaurants you need to go to
Wonderful location, amazing room and such a comfortable bed, great food and drinks, and, most of all, unbelievable service from everyone that worked there. We were made to feel incredibly special and looked after, and it really made our stay.
We had our wedding reception at Bingham Riverhouse in December, and could not have asked for a better venue and team. Right from the very first coffee in the drawing room with Aims, we knew that we loved the relaxed atmosphere and laid back approach. Aside from being a stunning riverside venue (especially beautiful at night with all of the Christmas trees and fairy lights everywhere!), the team at Bingham really know what they are doing - and so everything feels relaxed and non-stressful, but every single little detail is thought about and catered for. Stacey is incredible at knowing exactly the right questions to ask but keeping everything calm - and behind the scenes, turning that into a masterplan for the day! Thank you, Stacey, for everything! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, and the kitchen / serving / bar staff were wonderful with all of our guests. We could not have asked for a more perfect day - and we could not recommend Bingham Riverhouse as a wedding venue highly enough!
Location great, beautiful room
Very noisy - we were woken at 7am with staff talking very loudly near our room and someone vacuuming several times from 7am to 9am. Lots of slamming doors.
The staff were excellent, very accommodating and friendly. The food, and overall service was great, would really recommend.
Normal funcional todo corrio bien un bed and breakfast
My husband and I booked this hotel for one night b&b in December for a family wedding…£285. The bedroom and en-suite really needed to be refurbished. The bed was comfortable but it was on a raised plinth which was a trip hazard in the dark. The whole place had an air of unkemptness and it was overall frowzy. The hallways were dark and dingy (painted dark navy with dark navy carpets and almost no lighting ) and on close inspection we could see crumbs on the carpets. The breakfast was okay but the eggs Benedict ordered was inedible. Way over priced for what it was. Would not recommend it.
Didnt have breakfast. Husband did and said it was good.
Long way up to second floor with suitcase! My room had a drain smell which I suspect was the shower or sink trap - needs cleaning The bed throw had a few large holes in it.
Fantastic location, amazing staff, great vibes, incredible food and I can’t wait to stay again next week, I’ve recommended this hotel to all my friends.
Leaving the property to travel home was only issue as I wanted to stay longer,
We went to a wedding reception at this hotel the nibbles offered were underwhelming then the meal was not what I expected first course was ham with goats cheese about the only cheese I don’t like so for me not good a few bits of salad with it the main course was beef which was tough as old boots dessert an underwhelming pear baclava pretty tasteless I’m sure my niece paid a fortune I don’t think she got her money’s worth. Never got a coffee after the meal.
Breakfast was very good Excellent choice and variety
Nothing that I can think off!
My friend and I had a river view room but you couldn't see the river to be honest. The receptionist, on arrival, was pleasant and took our cases to the room as we were a little early. We only returned to the room to get changed after shopping and headed out for dinner. We used to live in Richmond and it was special trip down memory lane for us. When we got back we tried the TV, which wasn't working, rang reception and a helpful young lady came and climbed over the bath tub (in the room) round the back of the TV and did something! . When we got ready for bed we realised that - wait for it - we had no duvets!! Twin beds with a double sheet folded in half and a thin blanket was spread over each bed, which is why we didn't notice before. How can a hotel give you a twin bed room for £315.00 and no duvets! It was late and we were tired and in pyjamas ! So, we went to bed and fiddled with the heating to keep warm.. Uncomfortable sleep with a sheet falling off all the time! . When we went down to check out we told the guy on reception. He said 'Oh yes, sorry about that, we need to get double duvets that unzip to make 2' - huh?? How ridiculous! We just couldn't believe it. He was laughable in his response. I rang when I got home and spoke to a lovely Head Receptionist who was horrified and said apparently they do have duvets and she could not believe the way it was handled .....but how could this happen? In all my life I have never stayed anywhere and not been given a duvet!! She gave me 20% off my next stay and 15% off the restaurant. However, I had already had an email offering 10% that goes to all guests who stay here and if I went to Richmond again, I would be going out for dinner in the town. The room would still cost me a lot of money too. We should have rung down at 11.30pm I suppose but we were tired, in nightwear, and took it as the way the beds were supposed to be. We had already rung down for the TV.
didn't have breakfast. Liked location and parking
car park across road from hotel, nowhere to stop outside hotel to unload bags.
We stayed at the Bingham for two nights to recover from a family funeral. Pros: - The location overlooking the river is beautiful. It’s a pleasant walk into town and there’s a Gaucho minutes away if you fancy a steak like we did. - I loved the quirkiness of the hotel, creaky stairs and all, and the decor. - Comfy bed - Sweet and friendly staff - A bath which I found pleasantly surprising in a small bathroom Cons - Our room William was tiny. Cosy, yes, but tiny. - I didn’t mention this to the staff so my bad, but the bathroom door didn’t close properly so keep swinging outwards - The food was average, in particular the breakfast (included in the price of the stay, plus money off our first evening meal). Not somewhere I’d recommend for coffee. - Errors on the bill at checkout. We were billed for a treatment (which I couldn’t book anyway as the spa had no availability on either date) and a round of drinks we didn’t order. All rectified easily and without fuss though.
Beautifully decorated. Great location. Staff were so welcoming and service was excellent.
Brilliant experience. The entire place is very charming and very well located. The Sunday roast is amongst the best in London. The service overall is excellent, the staff treated us very well. Our room has a great view and the TV had lots of Disney and netflix to keep the small ones entertained. Spotless clean. Overall Great place to unwind and take in everything Richmond has to offer.
Breakfast was very good , location is very good
The hotel is a little tired but still acceptable for the cost
Location
Room was tiny, bed uncomfortable, bathroom tiny,
I stayed for my 50th birthday celebrations and everyone at the hotel was amazing. They made the stay a lot of fun and the whole hotel has a quirky fun vibe, Will defo be heading back sometime. Can especially imagine being amazing in the summer.
Delightful bar with the wonderful Sabrina chatting through the cocktails; delicious dinner with 10/10 service from Fahim. Always a joy to dine at the Bingham. Thank you.

Even after informing the hotel this was our honeymoon night, they were oblivious and not bothered. We booked the cosy room, even though we knew it would be small, the room size is so ridiculous and we both cracked our heads on the eves. Do not book this room for the price. We had used this hotel in the past but it has a very different feel under new management. We went to the bar for a cocktail when we arrived but waited so long decided to give up and go to our cosy rabbit hutch. Not the best ending after an incredible day. Could not recommend to anyone and we are locals.
We got married at the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond on the 18th of October and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. We chose the winter wedding package, and everything from start to finish was beautifully organised. Laure was absolutely wonderful – calm, patient, and so responsive throughout the whole planning process. She explained everything clearly, gave fantastic advice, and it was lovely to have her there on the day with her calm, kind and reassuring manner. The venue looked stunning, with the room very professionally set up and the riverside location providing a beautiful backdrop. The food was exceptional – so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was and how smoothly the whole day ran. The fire pit, hot chocolate, and mulled wine were the perfect added touches for an autumn wedding. A huge thank you to Laure, Sherry, and the entire team at the Bingham Riverhouse for making our wedding day so special. Everything was flawless, and we’ll remember the day for years to come. Sara and Simon
We stayed for a night for our 5th anniversary, and it was perfect. The staff are so lovely, attentive and friendly. Room was beautiful, with a great view of the river. Will 100% be back again.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It is right on the river and has a back gate with river access so you can walk along the river to town. It makes the walk to town so charming and magical. The rooms are incredible. They use actual down in the bedding and actual cotton! No plastic sheets! I slept so well and had almost no jet lag. Their copper bathtubs are something I will think about for the rest of my life. Breakfast overlooking the river is lovely. Yoga in the back garden is such a treat!
Great customer service and care from a professional hospitality team. From checking in to enjoying their bar and restaurant.
Its uniqueness. Its location. The spa offerings. Great staff. Very special hotel with a great history.
We had a lovely time at Bingham! We came for our anniversary/birthday, and everyone was so sweet and attentive. The location is perfect and food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back!
Nice area, excellent hosts
Noisy guests coming to their room
We had our wedding at the Bingham in August 2025. Food, service and ambience were excellent. All our guests loved it and we had the best day ever. Amy and her team did an exceptional job of making sure everything ran smoothly and we cannot recommend the Bingham highly enough.
The property is cozy and well appointed. The staff were beyond delightful. It was a joy staying there. Beds were super comfortable and room nicely appointed. I would return to this same property on our next visit to Richmond.
I organised a Leadership Offsite at Bingham Riverhouse. Amy Braund was amazing - nothing was too much trouble, the feedback from my team was that everything was super organised and smooth. A really amazing experience and would organise my team event there again. Thanks so much to everyone who made it possible.
Ambience of the hotel was relaxing, calm. Staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating especially Carl who went over and beyond. Body massage was amazing, would definitely recommend this. Food and drink had good choices. WiFi is a bit iffy but ok as it allows you to relax!! Enjoyed our stay and walks along the river and in Richmond Park
Great location, fun to walk along the river
I could hear everything in the adjoining room
What a lovely 1 night stay, the staff were so welcoming, James on Reception, was friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Bedroom was amazing, lovely touches in the room with an amazing view of the Thames. Breakfast very nice, great selection and tasty healthy drinks. Thank you for a wonderful stay, wish it was for longer. Hope to be back. Neil
I recently planned a wedding at Bingham Riverhouse for clients of mine getting married at the hotel. The whole experience of dealing with the hotel and the staff team was excellent from start to finish, both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. I can highly recommend. The team are professional, friendly and could not do more to help. I hope to plan many more weddings at The Bingham!
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at The Bingham Riverhouse. The setting by the Thames is truly picturesque, and the Riverhouse Team made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease. The highlights of our evening included a tantalizing chalk stream trout ceviche, the perfectly cooked Fish of the Day (Plaice), and a succulent West Country Lamb Rump. We finished off our meal with a mouth-watering coco parfait. The wine pairings were also spot-on, adding an elegant touch to the entire dining experience. The atmosphere was both elegant and relaxed, making it a perfect evening. We absolutely cannot wait to return for another memorable dinner at The Riverhouse.
Booked a riverside room with stunning views. The room size was great and the bathroom well equipped and large comfy bed. The hotel was beautiful decorated and with a car park nearby. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. This was our first trip here but will certainly visit again.
We are both so incredibly grateful for all the hard work and care that Laure and her lovely team put into our day. Their patience and support throughout the planning was incredible and it resulted in a perfect wedding day which we will treasure forever. From our first visit to the big day every member of staff we met or spoke to made us feel so welcome and special. All our guests loved the venue and had a great time. We couldn’t be more thankful!
I checked in last week for a one night, celebrating my partner’s birthday. We had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Sappho room which had a great view of the river, a spacious bathroom and a gorgeous copper bath. The bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I have experienced in my many hotel stays. The room was also ready ahead of time which meant we could check in straight away - although not a given it was much appreciated. In the evening we had a delicious cocktail each followed by a very tasty 3-course meal. The breakfast the following morning was equally as good and enjoyed in the same parlour room space. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Would absolutely return to the Bingham.
I stayed here recently and was really impressed with this hidden gem of a hotel. The food was delicious, the beds were so comfortable and the proximity to the river meant not only great views but easy access to walk along the riverside in Richmond. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even knocked on our door to check if there was anything else they could get us. There are some wellness facilities that my partner and I did not have enough time to experience but we both agreed we would return in future. Many thanks to Amy and the staff for their assistance.
We had a short stay only one night as a treat for my daughter but from the moment I got there the welcome was lovely. Sabrina was very friendly and helpful and had great energy. I booked on hotel website and got a cosy room with breakfast included but we had a lovely room overlooking the Thames…. Bonus . Room was lovely and clean and bed very comfortable. Air con made a bit of a noise when taking in water ( sounded a bit like a coffeee machine every few mins) but nothing that stopped a good nights sleep. Breakfast was yummy and we had a cooked breakfast which was perfectly portioned . Would I stay there again…. Absolutely. Staff were all very polite and helpful.
Lovely hotel and brilliant staff very attentive
Well sugars, Roger and I decided to “visit Europe.” Yes, the whole damn thing. Imagine my surprise when it turns out Europe begins and ends in Richmond - not the barbecue one, mind you, but this leafy English suburb where the main attraction is a river you can’t even spell after two martinis. Check-in was slick, though I’ll admit I heard very little of it because I was hypnotised by the receptionist’s hair. Glossy, bouncy, not a strand out of place. That man could run for mayor on his blow-dry alone. I need his salon’s number - not that Roger would notice; the poor man hasn’t had an actual hairline since Clinton’s first term. Then the room. A copper bathtub shoved dramatically under the window, staring out at the river as though it were the star of its own perfume commercial. And the willow tree - enormous, swooping, draped like the world’s most theatrical widow at a funeral. Just as I was admiring it, a bright green bird - not a parrot, apparently a “parakeet” - landed in it. I gasped. Roger blinked. Between the two of us, only one of us was alive in that moment. Décor notes: they’ve clearly gone shopping in the “eclectic spiritualist” aisle. A random slab of citrine perched on a table, as if it might realign my chakras between cocktails. And the mountain of decorative pillows? Honestly. By the time I’d flung them all to the floor I’d broken a sweat. But I’ll forgive them because once we reached the mattress, the bed bounce was superb. Consider it tried, tested, and certified by me personally. Roger contributed in his usual way: silently, dutifully, without distinction. Dinner came with a waiter so unnervingly chipper I muttered, “I’ll have whatever he’s on.” He chirped at me about the hotel mantra - “Go with the flow.” Darling, I’ve been making Roger “go with the flow” for thirty years; it’s called marriage. The poor man gave up resistance sometime around 2003. The sleep? Immaculate. The willow hushed me to sleep, the bed cradled me, and for one glorious night I forgot I had a husband snoring three feet away. The only jolt came from the shower gel, which I swear had arsenic in it. Either the Bingham is moonlighting as a government lab or they just enjoy torturing their guests. Still, it left me radiant, so keep at it, sweethearts. (Though one does wonder how they actually clean that copper tub - exorcism? Fire hose?) Breakfast the next morning was almost a marital exposé. Roger ordered poached eggs with mushrooms and spinach on toast with a white Americano - so beige, so safe, the very embodiment of his personality. I, meanwhile, had avocado, hummus and chilli on toast with a white Americano and oat milk - bright, modern, with a kick, which is to say everything Roger is not. Checkout was brisk and polite, though I nearly asked if they’d consider keeping Roger. The willow looked heartbroken as we left, probably hoping I’d climb in and live there instead. Final word? If you want romance with a side of poison, a crystal that thinks it’s curing cancer, and a bed that will survive the apocalypse, the Bingham Riverhouse is your destination. And as for Roger - let’s just say the poor man was more shaken than stirred, which is more than he’s managed in years.
Great place on the River in Richmond... easy ealk to town and great service
Beautiful setting had a wonderful Sunday lunch excellent food and service . Carl reception manager made us very welcome. 5 Star for sure. Shame I couldn’t stay ..
Beautiful outlook & setting, comfortable bed, although a limited menu everything was excellent..
We had our team corporate event at the Bingham, with a BBQ, lots of drinks and outdoor games. I can't tell you how special this event was. Amy and Emma were brilliant with all the pre-event arrangements and detail. Sohail and the team were fantastic on the day, they worked really hard, nothing was too much trouble and went above and beyond to cater to all our requirements. The setting was perfect for a relaxing fun team day out and everyone commented how wonderful the setting was and they really enjoyed themselves. Great view of the river, very peaceful, lots of space in the garden and seating options. The BBQ food was plentiful and ready right on time. Plus we were blessed with sunshine which made the setting even more special. THANK YOU so much to the whole team and would love to visit again soon!! :)
