This was my 3rd & last time to stay at the Belair beach hotel , ( the previous holidays here had been amazing)I had booked a Twin room with a seaview & balcony at a cost of £1872 for 10 days, on arrival at 1.10am I was greeted by William on reception who informed me there was a family room (409) available for me & suggested I do not unpack as the hotel would move me to the room I had booked in the morning. The following morning I was given room (447) this was a single room where you had to walk on the outside of the room to get to a very small balcony . I stayed in this room for 2 nights as I was told this is what you paid for. It was so upsetting to be treated this way . I was then moved again to room (401) again a single room (which I had stayed before with sea view & balcony) I went to receptiom & again spoke to reception staff, It was then 2 days before I was leaving they realised what they had done & couldn't stop apologising & offering to upgrade me if I was to come back , my holiday was ruined by this , I met so many nice people including Artemis by the pool bar & the happy dancing staff. As stated earlier the first twice I stayed at the hotel it was great , needless to say why I returned The staff at the pool bars , main bar & restaurant staff & housekeeping staff were absolutely amazing .
Me and my friend Alice came back to this hotel after going last year with our big group of friends. Can I just start off by saying that this hotel is one of the best and accommodating hotels I’ve been to. Massive shout out to Alex and Bob the entertainers who made me and Alice‘s trip 10 times better all the staff was so lovely and so attentive. There was not a single day where we didn’t feel looked after we will definitely be coming back again !!❤️❤️
Belair beach hotel is a fabulous place to stay with amazing entertainment throughout the day and evening. Alex and Bob ensure all guests are involved that want to be, with pool aerobics, pool polo, pool volleyball, darts and games etc. in the day time. In the evenings there’s karaoke, singers, bingo, fire and glass walking etc. They are fantastic entertainers. The food at the hotel (all inclusive) was good each and every day, although we did also eat out at a couple of the local restaurants in the evenings too. The restaurants, pubs, shops and arcades are a 10 minute walk away, although there is also a very good shop right next to the hotel. The beach is directly across a small road, with a lovely beach restaurant “Almafi coast” that offers the best sunsets over the sea looking out towards turkey. We’ll definitely be back.
The hotel as a whole was good, I do believe it is only a 4 star due to beach front location. Drinks package on all inclusive is pretty limited. Think this needs looking at. No cider. Have to pay extra. And only 1 type of lager. Which was OK. The soft drinks in the bar tasted off. Think the pipes need flushing out. Food was good. Plenty of selection, something for everyone. The rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfy. What more do you need. Staff were excellent and polite. Atmosphere was good although entertainment could of been better. Overall a good stay. Would I stay here again. Yes but hopefully with some changes.
We have just finished our holiday at Belair and i would highly recommend! We went as a family with 2 teens and they loved it. Rooms were great, food options were wide and everything very tasty (i love salads and fresh meats/fish and was so much choice), all inclusive drinks tasted strong which can be a rarety, always quite easy to get a sunbed even if late risers and entertainment kept flowing. Location also ideal with shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Would highly recommend!!
This was one of the best holidays my grandaughter of 15 yrs and I have had over the years - we spend a week together every year on an annual girlie. The hotel was fabulous, clean, tidy, friendly staff, and we would like to thank Mika on reception for her warm welcome, interest in our day and for being so helpful. We were half board and loved that we could have breakfast and either lunch or evening meal. Great choice of food. Our room was half sea view rm 423 over looking the quiet pool, perfect for cool afternoon/evening sun. Rooms perfectly clean, included everything needed, ie tea coffee, hairdryer, aircon. Loved that there were enough sunbeds between two pool areas for everyone and didn’t need to leave towels on them early daws! Choice of a quiet pool area plus bar and a pool with music and pool games, incl aerobics, plus bar. Check out the games room too. Entertainment every night if you wanted it. The bar just over the road called Amalfi Coast offered free sunbeds all day as long as you bought drinks, including just water. The beach is pebbly so definitely needed beach shoes but the sea was fun and a little rough at times. Bus to Rhodes old Town just up the road for 2.5 euros and well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this hotel and lovely location. Thank you Belair.
Location: Ideal location, just a 1-minute walk across the road to the beach. It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride from Rhodes Town and 20 minutes from the airport. There are also supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel & Rooms: The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were spacious and spotless and the air conditioning was a lifesaver. The sea views were absolutely phenomenal! Pools & Atmosphere: The two pools were great. The smaller pool is ideal if you just want to chill out without music, while the main pool is lively, to say the least, thanks to the entertainment team. (A quick heads-up: watch out for the "sunbed police" from 8:00 to 8:45 AM—unattended towels get removed, which if you tell the Germans, this is actually how it should be!) Food & Service: Food was a bit hit-and-miss—not a huge variety and occasionally repetitive. If you love pizza and chips, you’re in luck! The bar staff were mostly fine, though at times they could be a bit dismissive or distracted chatting amongst themselves instead of serving when there's a queue. Verdict: Overall, it was a great holiday and we would definitely return!
We stayed at the Belair Beach in late July. The hotel sits directly opposite the beach on a busy road. Ixia is windy there was a constant breeze at the start of the week, but it seemed to decrease as the time when on, It's still hot and sunny. The hotel is very clean, all of the reception, cleaning, animation and restaurant staff we encountered were all friendly, helpful and polite. I emailed the hotel in advance to request a room with a nice sea view, we had booked a sea view room but not sure what kind. We arrived late in the evening and to our suprise, we were told that our room had been upgraded, free of charge, to a Executive Room, it was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated - Thank you! The tourist tax was €70 for two adults for one week. We also celebrated a birthday during our stay, on request and for a small fee of €20 the hotel staff decorated the room with balloons and banners and provided a small cake - again, thank you! The view from our 5th floor room was spectacular, we could see the whole of the Ixia strip and even the mountains, of what I assume, was Turkey from across the ocean. The Executive Rooms are in their own apartment block. The sunsets from the balcony were incredible. The free wifi works well throughout the property. The room itself was minimalistic, tiled throughout, with air-con, nice bathroom with soap depensers on the wall, lots of hot water (the shower floor can be slippery, so be careful), storage space, TV, double bed, with bedside tables, lighting and plug sockets each side, small fridge, iron & ironing board, large side table, mirror, tea/coffee making facilities and two chairs. The room was cleaned daily with towels and tea/coffee topped up. The beds were comfy. We were given one key card for the room. The main pool is a good size. There's also a small kids pool, both were cold, it takes some getting used to. There are lots of sunbeds around the pools, we went down about 10.30am each day and by then the majority were taken. Some mornings there was a staff member stationed in the area guarding the space before the pool opens, there is also chain put up to emphasise that the area was closed, but people still put their towels down, I didn't see any being removed. The food in the restaurant was always good, there was always something to eat, the waiting staff are efficient and come over to you quickly to take your drink order and clean away your plates. I never ate a bad meal, there was always something to eat, fresh salad, vegetables, meats, soup, fish, pizza, pasta, bread, omelettes, eggs, bacon, sausages, cakes, ice-cream. All the usual items you would find at an A/L buffet. The alcoholic drinks are not that strong and are served in plastic cups around the pool and in glasses in the restaurant. The beer was good and soft drinks were fine. The evening entertainment was outside on the small stage at the front of the hotel, we didn't attend any shows, so can't comment on that. There is music and games around the main pool daily, there is a smaller/quieter pool downstairs from the restaurant if you prefer the peace. It's next to the Spa room, seating area and pool table. That pool is slightly warmer, with sunbeds, seating and a bar, the area is shaded in different parts and doesn't get the sun throughout the day. There are snacks available throughout the day at the both pool areas, make sure to try one of the ice creams from the bar, they're like miniature chocolate magnums and were very nice. Alex and Bob manage all the entertainment throughout the day, they're both really friendly and work hard keeping everyone entertained. The main Ixia strip is a 10 minute walk away, just come out of the hotel, turn left and keep walking you'll arrive at the bars and restaurants. If you turn right, that's the way to Rhodes Old Town, there are also bars and restaurants up that way, but the walk is more like 25-30 minutes. You can walk to Rhodes old Town but it's a good 45-50 minutes, you can also get a bus (they get really packed), or a taxi, (which we did) which costs €15 each way. The hotel do a shuttle service at different times throughout the day, you can book at reception, they will also book you a taxi. You can book excursions from the main lobby area. We had a nice time and enjoyed our stay. The best part was the view from the room, which was spectacular!
We stayed at the Belair Beach Hotel for 10 nights in July 2026. We found the hotel to be pleasant, clean & the staff were friendly. Pools There are two large pools on each side of the hotel, we spent most of the time at the smaller pool as it was quieter & more relaxed, it also has its own bar so you don't need to walk across the hotel every time you want to get drinks which is good, the service from the bar staff is excellent. Wait times are fairly minimal. We didn't have issues getting sunbeds at either pools, although if you are a larger family do expect to be spaced out a bit as you aren't always going to find more than 4 sunbeds in a row available, however for couples or smaller families this won't be a problem. The hotel does not allow people to put towels on sunbeds before breakfast & if they see towels on empty sunbeds after a certain amount of time they will remove them which is good. Rooms On the first night we were put in one of the smaller rooms which had a very small shared balcony however the reception did say this was due to availability issues due to us arriving very late which is reasonable. The following morning we were put into the sea view room we booked which was much nicer. Both rooms we had did have fridges & air con. The air conditioning was a bit weak in our rooms although was keeping the room temperature down so it wasn't really an issue. The beds are comfortable, TV worked for news channels etc. The bathrooms are a bit dated but were clean & functional & have been well looked after. Food The food is very average for a standard all inclusive hotel which was ok for us, if your fussy there shouldn't be too much problem. Location The hotel is located opposite the beach with a main road out front which is busy all times of day & night. The beach is ok, costs i think 5 euros for sunbeds, we noticed some neighbouring hotels have allocated sunbeds & a tunnel that links them to the beach that runs under the road. Turning left out of the hotel had more to offer, FBI sports bar is excellent, Romeo pizzaria the food is lovely & the portion sizes are overly generous. A little further down is Rock Island bar which has a band that seems to start every night from 9 ish playing all kinds of rock, pop music & the atmosphere is brilliant. There are local service buses that pass the hotel frequently which are cheap however every single one we saw had a full standing load so we tended to use the local taxis, be aware most of them are cash only. The buses do take contactless. There are day trips advertised in reception, we didn't use them though. Rhodes town is good, on our last day we got a taxi to Lindos which was very nice although extremely hot (42c on the day we visited). Taxis to Lindos are not cheap, roughly 100 euros each way for five of us however it is a fair distance (approx 1 hour). Entertainmment Alex and Bob go above and beyond with the entertainment, be aware there isn't any kids entertainment but this didn't bother us. In our opinion this hotel is above average, we have stayed at much worse hotels that claimed to be better than this one.
After a holiday in Lindos my daughter became ill at the airport and Jet 2 sent us here, arriving 2am on a Monday morning. Greeted by Vasili at the front desk, by day 3 he was my hero. We stayed two nights in two different rooms whilst she recovered and got a fit to fly note but we were back for a third night after a cancelled flight. Being greeted by Vasili at 4am and discovering he had managed to get us into a room we could sleep in beyond checkout was such a relief. It’s not a hotel I would normally choose but it’s clean, good air conditioning and nice rooms with good amenities near by. The staff were all lovely and because of the way we were treated, my daughter is desperate to come back (despite not even being able to enjoy the pool!)
Amazing week away celebrating birthdays and father's day! Great food and drinks available. Clean accommodation. Friendly Staff (and guests). Brilliant company and entertainment from Alex and Bob (particularly the water aerobics!!!!) - Thanks for looking after us all 😁
YES the original part of the hotel is a little dated NO you don’t need to reserve sunbeds YES we would absolutely stay here again All of the staff we encountered were the most friendly staff I’ve encountered in hotels and honestly can’t do enough for you. Room was a lovely size and absolutely immaculate. Being a little dated in parts to me isn’t an issue as long as it’s clean and this was. The maids work so hard to keep levels high. The entertainment team of Bob and Alex are 1st class, work really hard, have time for everyone and whilst they aren’t too in your face they do take time to try and involve everyone. The only slight negative was some of the food and drink. There is always loads of food and it’s constantly replenished. You’d struggle to not find something to eat. Breakfast was my favourite and I am already missing the fresh omelettes. Drinks menu for cocktails seemed a bit limited for all inclusive but didn’t have an impact on us. Overall a great week at a spotless, friendly and lovely hotel. Would we stay again? Yes absolutely if we were going back to Ixia.
Amazing staff and entertainment! Alex from the entertainment team was brilliant. Great for anyone to come and have a good time.
Great locations and a lovely hotel. Couldn’t fault anything. Clean and tidy rooms, decent size and also the balcony with sea view amazing. Alex and Bob were amazing fun during our stay, couldn’t fault anything with them and their entertainment. Can’t wait to go back.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Belair Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the hotel’s location right by the sea made it even more special. The biggest highlight of our holiday was definitely Alex, Bob and Firas from the entertainment team. They took the entertainment to a whole different level. Every activity was full of energy, laughter, and fun. Whether it was pool games, water sports, quizzes, or the evening entertainment, they made everyone feel included and created an incredible atmosphere. They genuinely care about the guests and always have a smile on their faces. Thanks to Alex, Bob and Firas, we made unforgettable memories and enjoyed every single day. They are a huge credit to Belair Hotel and one of the main reasons we would love to come back. If you’re looking for a hotel with fantastic entertainment and an amazing atmosphere, Belair Hotel is the perfect choice!
Hotel just okay, all inclusive was a joke pina colada not included in this for some reason despite it being local spirits. The coffee/ tea machine was not allowed to he used in the restaurant at lunch time and tea time for some unknown reason. Food buffet was cleared away dead on time every day At 2pm so when you ate in the restaurant it was a rushed experience as staff would start taking the buffet food away immediately at 2pm and 9pm in the evenings. Small bottles waters we had to pay for, no signs on any food in the buffet area for gluten free as my mum is celiac, we had to ask the staff daily what she could and couldn’t have. The hotel has yet again changed management 2nd time in a year I believe, the hotel staff were good but they were tied under the new management which is where the problem lies in my opinion .
First stay at this hotel although stayed in Ixia before. Arrived at 22.45 after travelling all day. Nothing left in our room, not even a couple of bottles of water which wasn’t the greatest impression. Had to run down to the bar before it closed for two cups of water. Room was clean and spacious but bed very hard and uncomfortable. Nice balcony which faced one of the pools and the beautiful sunsets. We really enjoyed our meals here. We tend not to eat lunch so can only comment on breakfast and dinner but plenty of choice for both. Can get chips, sandwich’s, salad etc at the pool bar. Very little alcohol in cocktails at the pool bar. The girls behind the bar always got our order wrong because they were too busy chatting to each other and often poured full fat Pepsi for my husband who is a type 1 diabetic. Also served in non reusable plastic cups which I’m not a fan of. Need to invest in reusable ones which surely must be better for the environment? The activity team did their best, aqua aerobics, water polo but was very repetitive for a two week stay. We got to use the facilities until our evening flight time which was good and the hotel has adequate showering facilities next to reception if you don’t fancy paying to keep your room on. Some positives from our stay here but wouldn’t return, nicer hotels in the area at the same star.
Despite breaking my shoulder on the 2nd day still had a great holiday thanks to the lovely helpful staff at Belair Beach, obviously restricted me enjoying the facilities but lots of sunbeds & 2 big pools & 1 baby pool which were quite slippy Special shout out to Alex & Bob the brilliant entertainment team who do the work of 10 they made our holiday so good
From start to finish we loved every minute at the Belair beach hotel. The staff are amazing and went out there way to help you, Alex and Bob are absolutely fantastic at what they do & are an asset to this hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The food is excellent and have many varieties to choose from. The pool and views from the sea view rooms are just WOW, what a beautiful hotel this really is, will 100% be coming back here next year, thank you all at the Belair hotel for a great holiday, regards John & steph..
Had an executive room overlooking the sea and pool, very clean, room is modern and nice. They don't allow towel reserving sunbeds, and police it well, food is great and a wide choice, staff are friendly and helpful especially William in reception nights. We would thoroughly recommend.
My partner and I stayed here a few years ago, and although we're a little late leaving a review, we still wanted to share what a wonderful experience we had. The hotel may be on the smaller side, but it has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and every member of staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to go the extra mile. There was entertainment every day, with something for everyone. Whether it was karaoke, volleyball, or other activities, there was always a great atmosphere, and guests of all ages and backgrounds were made to feel welcome and included. We always left with a smile on our faces. The location is fantastic too. The beautiful sandy beach stretches for miles in both directions, making it perfect for long walks and relaxing days by the sea. It's also only a short drive from the airport and the main town, so there's plenty to see and do. The old town is especially beautiful and perfect for a romantic evening meal. We made some wonderful memories here and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended!
What can i say what a pleasant stay fantastic made mine and my wifes stay for our first holiday abroad fanstastically amazing was a special.one as it was my wifes 50th birthday from all staff reception restaurant bar chamber maids entertainment staff was a spectacular stay great surroundings pools clean surrounding areas vlean and even the walk to the beach was obky 2 minutes away i would go back again and again just like some of the regulars they have do so food was so tasty and amazing and when it got to my wifes 50th birthday they arranged a cake to be delivered on the evening was easy to get to and from rodos town centre via public transport what more can you want for your first holiday abroad ...... we felt special wanted and was madr to feel very very welcome AMAZING FEELING AND AN EXPERIANCE WE WILL NEVER FORGET thank you to ypu all and you did your hotela massive credit thanks again wow .......
The hotel is in a great spot. Rhodes town is a 15 minute bus ride away. The hotel is good. Nice pools and superb views. We had an Executive room on the 5th floor. King size comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a large shower. The hotel is let down badly by its food. If you like pasta and pizza you can’t go wrong. Their meat selection at both lunch and dinner was either pork or chicken. The soup was nearly cold every day. Their desserts were not brilliant except for the Vanilla slices which were exceptional. Overall we had a nice week but won’t return. It is, in my opinion, definitely a three star hotel.
Bob&Alex was the best entertainers Very good hotel
My husband and I like this hotel, it’s a hotel of two halves as far as we are concerned. You have the very busy, noisy side (infinity pool, entertainment etc) then you have the older quieter pool which is where we are always found. As we are in our late seventies it’s perfect!! The food is good, we go half board as don’t enjoy the drinks on offer but you have your own fridge and can buy your own drink with free ice from the very helpful bar staff and a balcony room it’s really lovely. There is entertainment on at night but we don’t participate as not our scene but there other places around so again all good! Sadly we have since discovered this hotel has been dropped by TUI and Jet 2 for next year - have no idea why? So for us I will keep looking to see if either company reinstate Belair Beach or look for an alternative else where- Shame !!
This is my honest review! Stayed here from 16 June - 23 June 2026. Location – 5/5 I honestly can’t fault the location. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and within easy reach of Rhodes Old Town, making it a great for exploring the island. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and supermarkets nearby, and the beach is right on the doorstep. The surrounding area feels safe and public transport links are easily accessible. Atmosphere – 3/5 The atmosphere was mixed. The hotel itself is busy and lively, particularly around the pool area, and there was entertainment available throughout the day and evening. However, it lacked the luxury and relaxing atmosphere I would expect from a five-star hotel. While some guests may enjoy the lively environment, I found it felt more like a standard holiday resort than a premium hotel experience. Rooms – 2/5 Unfortunately, the rooms were one of the biggest disappointments for me. They simply did not feel like five-star accommodation. The bathroom was extremely small and it only had a bath with a shower head. The floor became incredibly slippery after showering, which felt dangerous. Unlike most five-star hotels I’ve stayed in, there were no toiletries provided. The towels were surprisingly small, and the hairdryer was so weak that drying your hair took forever. The television offered very limited entertainment, with only one channel available to watch. The fridge struggled to keep drinks and snacks properly cold. The air conditioning was effective enough but incredibly loud, rumbling throughout the night and making it difficult to sleep. I also found the bedsheets quite rough and itchy, which further impacted comfort. Value for Money – 2/5 Considering I paid over £1,000 for this holiday, I do not feel the hotel offered good value for money. While the location is excellent, many aspects of the hotel fell well below what I would expect from a five-star. Had it been advertised as a three star hotel, my expectations would have been different, but for the price paid, I expected a significantly higher standard throughout. Cleanliness – 3/5 Overall cleanliness was acceptable, and the hotel appeared reasonably well maintained. However, on several occasions it seemed that the beds had simply been remade rather than the linens being changed. While the rooms were generally tidy, attention to detail could certainly be improved. Noise Levels – 2/5 The walls are very thin, meaning you can hear almost everything happening in the corridors and neighbouring rooms. Conversations, doors slamming, and people walking past were all clearly audible, particularly early in the morning and late at night. If you’re a light sleeper, this may be an issue. Service – 3/5 Service was inconsistent. Some members of staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful, while others came across as quite rude and uninterested. I also found communication difficult at times, as some staff members spoke very little English. While I completely understand that not everyone will speak fluent English, it can become problematic when guests are trying to ask questions, report issues, or seek assistance. That said, I cannot praise the entertainment team enough. Bob and Alex were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay and worked incredibly hard to keep guests engaged and entertained. The pool itself is good, although I found it uncomfortably cold on some days. My biggest concern was the marble surface surrounding it, which becomes extremely slippery when wet and feels like an accident waiting to happen. What was particularly disappointing was the lifeguard, who was frequently sitting on his phone rather than actively supervising the pool area. I personally witnessed people slipping on the marble and saw no response, which felt both unprofessional and concerning from a safety perspective. Amenities – 3/5 The hotel offers the basic amenities expected of a resort, including a swimming pool, entertainment programme, bar facilities, and beach access. However, many of the facilities felt average rather than exceptional. For a hotel claiming a five-star rating, I expected higher-quality amenities and more attention to guest comfort and convenience. Food & Drink – 1/5 This was by far the biggest issue for me. I wouldn’t consider myself a picky eater, but I genuinely struggled most days to find something enjoyable. Breakfast options felt very limited, typically consisting of eggs, sausage, beans, and pancakes, with little variation. Lunch and dinner appeared to cater predominantly to international palates rather than offering a wide variety of options that would appeal to all guests. While that’s understandable in a resort setting, I found the selection repetitive and often unappealing. The meat was frequently very chewy and sometimes not particularly hot when served. Most concerningly, I noticed mouldy fruit on multiple occasions, which is simply unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one advertised as five-star. The drink service was also frustrating. At breakfast, the only options were orange, apple, or pineapple juice, alongside water. All of the juices tasted extremely sweet and artificial. At lunch and dinner, guests must wait for a server to take drink orders, and on multiple occasions I was nearly finished eating before anyone approached my table. This was particularly frustrating when staff appeared to be standing chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to guests. Another frustration was the snack bar and the hotel’s all-inclusive offering. Several food and drink items at the snack bar were not actually included within the all-inclusive package and required an additional charge. While I understand that some hotels offer premium items at an extra cost, I felt this was not made particularly clear and was somewhat misleading. When booking an all-inclusive holiday, most guests reasonably expect food and drinks available within the hotel to be included unless clearly stated otherwise. Having to pay extra for certain items detracted from the overall experience and made the package feel less like a true all-inclusive holiday. Overall While Belair Beach Hotel benefits from an excellent location and a hardworking entertainment team, the overall experience fell far short of what I would expect from a five-star hotel. Between the disappointing food, dated and uncomfortable rooms, inconsistent service, safety concerns around the pool, and lack of value for money, I left feeling underwhelmed. Considering I paid over £2,000 for this holiday, I do not believe the hotel represents good value for money, and I certainly would not classify it as a five-star property. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.
After being here last year and having a great time we booked again for this year and it was just brilliant from start to finish. The room was lovely with an amazing pool and sea view,we had a bottle of wine and supper left in fridge as we arrived very late.We were all inclusive and enjoyed the varied selection everyday.Staff so friendly and happy to help you.The pool area is beautiful and plenty of sunbeds there is also a quieter pool at other part of the hotel. The entertainment staff Alex and Bob are unreal keeping everyone happy and entertained from morning to night! They were great fun,we miss them already!! Can't wait to return.
Stayed here for 1 week half board. Lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Clean and well maintained. Food selection satisfactory.
This was 3rd time staying at Belair, we stayed in room 665 which was one of the executive rooms, the room was very nice and up to date. We were always able to find a sun-bed around the main pool. (There was signs up saying not to reserve sun-beds between 7am - 8am, and people did reserve them) We staying on a half board basis: Breakfast was nice with plenty of options. Evening meal was the opposite! we decided to eat out most of the time as we got quite bored of just having chips and pizza, also we didn’t fancy being charged for having a glass of water with our meal. Our room was cleaned everyday but not to a 4 star standard hotel but other than that all ok, if we did stay again we would most likely stay for bed and breakfast.
First off the best thing about this hotel was the maids, stayed on the 3rd floor of the main hotel and they were top rate. So please leave them a lovely tip on your last day. They deserve it. However the towels were ridiculous, no way could anyone wrap a towel round them and drip/air dry out on the balcony. Which after a days sunbathing would have been nice. They were small! And unless you are 6' tall there was no where to hang the towels. We had to take ours out onto the balcony to dry off. Now the main swimming pool.....Absolutely no natural shade at all, with fixed umbrellas, so close,to each other you are literally between 12" - 18" away from your neighbours. You basically rely on your neighbours umbrella as well as your own for shade. (It was hot! As in 30c the First few days we were there) And if your sunbathing next to some anti umbrella Swedish sun worshippers who hiss at the shade creeping onto their sunbeds whilst holding up a silver crucifix like we were, then you will need to cover up. But then we discovered the original pool. Which was great, as one side is in the shade at all times. Problem with that pool is that is where all the broken sunbeds go to retire, and you have to sort through them to find a decent pair. However you well need to move as the whole area descends into shade between 4 and 5 and becomes a bit chilly. Bonus, no ques to get drinks. Food was dreadful, both my travelling companion and I were physically sick on two separate evenings. Either everything was swimming in congealed sauce or gravy, or it was topped with melted cheese. They made a pork Wellington, which looked lovely, but the slices were sat in gravy reducing the pastry into a soggy mess. (Sigh) So hardly ate much at all. However recommend the beach bar restaurant just across the road to the right, best steak dinner I've ever had, eaten whilst watching the sun go down, drinking a lovely Greek wine whilst a man walked around the restaurant playing his saxophone. Fantastic evening. Would I go back to the Belair beach hotel? Sorry not even f they paid me.
We had a mixed experience at this hotel, the area is fab however we would not choose this hotel again. On the positive side, the location is brilliant, you can easily walk into Rhodes town, and turning left out of the resort offers another great walking route. The hotel itself and the pool area were kept very clean, and the animation team was absolutely fantastic, working so hard to keep everyone entertained, massive shoutout to Bob and Alex who are so entertaining and kind, they take their time to get to know you and make the experience really personal. However, the service and facilities left a lot to be desired. We found the bar and waiting staff to be quite rude and judgmental. people even got shouted at just for grabbing juice at lunch, it is an all inclusive yet you are severely restricted. There absolutely should be a mocktail menu here, but instead, when you ask for a cocktail without alcohol, you are subjected to dirty looks and asked intrusive questions like whether you are pregnant. The hotel is outdated, to the point where there are still ten-year-old flight posters stuck on the walls, and the games room is horrible, empty, and full of broken walls. you’d think someone would go around and at least remove old posters but no one seems to care. there isn’t much pride in the hotel it seems. Evenings aren’t great the entertainment only lasts an hour and a half, the cleaners were disappointing, and the food is incredibly repetitive. there is no need for spaghetti every single night and the food is often cold. food isn’t labelled accurately either. Despite the great location and animation team, the hostile service and poor facilities mean we won't be returning, and wouldn’t recommend this place. However rhodes in itself is fantastic, and we can’t wait to return to the island but a different hotel this time.

Just returned after 12 nights from this beautiful Hotel. Cannot fault it at all. We had the most amazing views and the room was perfect although we didn’t spend much time in it. There was a mini fridge iron and ironing board very spacious wardrobes a kettle and cups but I took mugs. Coffee, tea and milk was supplied too. The pool was lovely a nice big infinity pool and a smaller pool round the back if you wanted it a little quieter but the atmosphere was brilliant. The 2 entertainment guys Alex and Bob did a great job well done guys you did make us laugh and what a team. The food was probably the only little let down breakfast wasn’t very warm but edible and the evening meal wasn’t great but something for everyone. The snack bar was great and I enjoyed that the best freshly made sandwiches all different salads hot food and chips and desserts too. That was at both pools. The girls behind the bar at the main pool were fantastic so friendly polite pleasant and very helpful. Such a delight. The cleaners all do a fantastic job and the management should be super proud of them as the place was beautifully clean. ( that was our opinion ) other people may not think that as I read that someone thought the pool toilets were unclean but I never saw that in the 12 nights we were there the cleaners were always cleaning them. The staff in the dining room were ok spoke if they needed too. The only thing I would complain about was the 2 ladies doing the eggs and omelette I found them to be a bit ignorant stood talking knowing you were there but carried on yapping and showing something on their mobile and laughing then decide to ask what we wanted, whether people find that a nothing I found it to be a bit ignorant to the guest I saw this a few times. My honest opinion is the hotel was fantastic and will definitely return again. Well done Hotel Belair a great holiday had by us all
Just finished a week holiday at the Belair Beach Hotel and there is nothing else to say other than it was absolutely top class! From arriving to checking out every staff member was helpful for the duration of our stay. The food was very good and there was nothing at fault with our room, it was very spacious and had everything you need. The reception team were very informative with any queries and especially a big shout out to Vasillis on reception who was absolutely brilliant! To Bob and Alex in the entertainment, your work was brilliant all week. Always getting involved and making games so fun and enjoyable from morning to evening. The atmosphere was so enjoyable. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend to others looking for an all inclusive hotel.
We stayed here last year May2025 since then the Hotel has gone down hill In a Year Its our last day here Today. We will not be Returning Again ever. The room was Disgustingly Dirty under the bed was shocking Dirt everywhere the only thing that kept us here was the pool bar staff and entertainment. BOB&ALEX Management was useless unlike last year Waste of money 42years of coming to Rhodes&Greece different Locations. I'd rather stay elsewhere now any travellers that want to clean on there Holiday then stay But if not stay elsewhere.
just stayed here for a week… hotel itself : clean/well kept, some parts of the hotel new/modern-looking, some parts quite dated and old-looking ,but not a problem, theres 2 pools one smaller one around the back of the hotel and 1 larger infinity pool at the front of the hotel, sunbeds arent a problem theres always some that are free. entertainment: alex and bob where hilarious very welcoming and chatty. they usually ran the entertainment at the hotel there was things like water sport, fireshows, bingo, karaoke, there was even a party bus to falaraki that ran every tue/friday for people who wanna go clubbing. food: breakfast was great, lots of selection, pastries, fried/scrambelled/boiled eggs, cereal, breads, yoghurt, fruit, pancakes, spreads/jams, saussage, bacon, tomatoes, cold cuts of cheese and meats, beans etc, they even had omlette station, big shoutout to the 2 women who where always there the omlettes where PERFECT. my fav part of the breakfast. lunch/dinner… not so great not alot of options for fussy eaters(im not a fussy eater and still didnt wanna eat much on the buffet) the dinner and lunch buffets consisted off pizza, chips, random meats in sauces, salads, breads, about it. i didnt feel like there was much option for them 2 meals but couldnt fault breakfast! staff: all of the staff where very welcoming and polite. always greeting u and wishing u a good day. no complaints at all location: about a 15 min walk to the left into ixia strip where theres a few supermarkets/bars/restraunts. there is 3 shops more a less outside of the hotel so dont need to walk far for one, about a 10 min drive into rhodes town(mabye about 40-45min walk if ur brave enough) recommendations: instead of taxi use bus! its around €2.50 for a one-way ticket, unlike a taxi is around €10-15 for one way, u can get the bus just outside of the sheraton hotel on the left hand side, the bus will have (rhodos centre) written on it so u cant miss it. sebastions bar/glory days fbi are a must, only 15 min walk into ixia strip and they both have amazing service with great food and drink at good prices. would i return: probably not, mainly because of the location, ur not in the centre so not alot to do at walking distance, although the hotel was okay if i was to come back i would do bed and breakfast, i personally dont think all inclusive is worth it, but a good stay overall!
Had an amazing stay at Belair with my partner. Had an exclusive room with pool and sea view which was really spacious and clean. Food was great, not great deal of choice but definitely something for everyone. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention to Bob and Alex, the entertainers, they were fantastic. Hotel is in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend Belair!
The room was lovely and clean the food was amazing the two lads who entertained were lovely and fun to be around bob and Alan the music just needs to be on all day and a bit louder and more entertainment of a night time apart from that we would come and stay at this hotel again absolutely loved it especially with our sea view to from Robbie ,Mel , room 157
The hotel is very good and the animation team are super and specially dody she has good vibes and so energetic amazing experience
We have just spent Saturday - Saturday at Belair Beach Hotel and it was honestly incredible. Alex and Bob the entertainment staff were wonderful! They made our experience so fun and always went above and beyond for everybody throughout the day / night. The food was always lovely and we had no complaints. Everything was very fresh! The drinks were gorgeous and there was so much variety! Rooms were exceptionally clean and great with space. It was a calm atmosphere with some fun music throughout the day when they did the activities. The location was perfect! Absolute value for money. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in so far ❤️
Lovely 10 days spent with my family! The location of the hotel was good, next to a lovely quiet pebble beach. The hotel was very big, composing of three pools, all cleaned every day. The rooms were not very big but they were cleaned by the staff everyday, I was so shocked, usually they come every 2/3 days but the ladies were spectacular, very respectful and friendly and always so hardworking, they deserve a pay rise! The food was amazing, especially the seafood, freshly cooked, we were so satisfied- every day something different, apart from the breakfast which was pretty much the same with tiny changes. The atmosphere was okay, they could have worked on a few more group activities and not start the evening shows so late, I had a small toddler and I asked for at least one night to be a tiny bit early so I can enjoy one evening but my desire wasn’t heard. I was half board but the manager was super nice when I asked if I can purchase every lunch time soup for my toddler and he said I am welcome to grab a plate for the baby every day which I was so grateful. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I’d recommend it, maybe go towards the end of May as we experienced a couple of rainy and windy days but we hanged around at the gym and play area and it was nice! In addition I think it was great value for money and for those who don’t rent a car the bus stop is right outside. I’d like to thank all the staff but a special mention to Sami, Angela, Majlinda, Besa and the Meter, you guys are all so positive and work hard to please your guests!
First day here and very dissapointed. Room terrible, food aswell, another 9 days to go - dont look forward
Well this is a perfect hotel from food to the staff and spotlessly clean bedroom ! I was very worried when i first booked some of the reviews were poor, all that worry for nothing while the hotel say's it s a 4 star and in some area's it is but i think the food while nice was more 3 star + .. and the gym was very poor only one bit of equipment working ! Entertainment staff were good and nice and friendly they included eveyone in . All in all this was a superb holiday in a fabulous location highly recommended .
Excellent Throughout would recommend
Arrived late at hotel.. greeted by a lovely gentleman behind reception. Explained mealtimes.. paid tax of €70 for our week stay and went to our room. Nice comfortable room with a decent shower always hot water 💧 and a good size balcony. Meal times were always a pleasure... breakfast lunch and dinner had lots of choice for different tastes. Restaurant staff were always pleasant and smiley and happy to serve you with drinks. The pool area was clean and the pool was in a beautiful setting with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas... no need to save a bed as they were plentiful. Nice shady pool bar and the cleanest pool toilets I've ever seen. Entertainment team were entertaining and happy...😊 always something going on... daytime and evening. overall a lovely relaxing stay for us...🌴 would recommend this hotel. ⭐️
The hotel is spotless lovely staff very friendly Food was very mixed some things I tried but didn't taste right I had yogurt one morning to discover long blk hair in the yogurt Not much fresh fruit st breakfast tinned also a lot of the veg seems frozen carrots peas We were in the executive rooms not really 4 star Water on sink never seemed to get hot We had night flight and had to leave room by 11am or pay 50euros to extend untill 5pm still ment 6 hrs hanging around so I booked hotel lido next door at 49 euros snd we had this untill 11am next day however we checked out at 10 30 pm and went back for our transfers do if on late flight have a looks at this served our needs Over all not bad hotel Greece seems quite expensive We did 2 trips see hotel reception boards
This was our second time at the Belair and about our 8th time to Ixia. We had a late evening check-in which took a while as only 1 reception guy on and about 15 people to check in. He was very polite & professional. Overall this hotel is still good value and offers clean rooms and a safe environment. The alI inclusive deal is also still good value. We didn't have a bad meal although not as many Beef or Lamb dishes as previous year. Plenty of pork dishes! A young lady in the dining room who generally greeted you in and out, sorry dont know her name, she helped get tooth picks! Every night she was smiling and ready to help and certainly deserves a mention. There was a good variety of drinks served at the pool bar and also various snacks if you didn't want to go in the main restaurant for lunch. Alex and Bob from the entertainment team were great fun and work hard during the day with darts, Aqua gym and water polo etc. Also they provided entertainment in the evening which again was ok. A big special mention is to our good friend Ilyas who works behind the main Bar. On our first night when we walked in he gave us such a lovely welcome, recognised us straight away and remembered our names instantly!! and we were back chatting like we'd never been away. Our only negative is that we had already tried to book for next year through Tui or Jet2 but seems this hotel is no longer on their contracted list. So sadly it seems like this will be our last time here unless there is a change. Thankyou again to all staff and fingers crossed they continue having visitors from the UK.
This hotel is diabolical and makes Fawlty Towers look like a 5 Star hotel. Electric tripped 5 times in one day for hrs on end taking 2 whole floors out during the day and night. Management reckoned it was because someone used an iron and the girls are using straighteners?! Friends locked out of their room for 3 hrs ar a time because of the electric issues. No help from management who are rude and dont keep residents up to date of what's happening. No tap/shower water for hours on end, they say it's an island issue, however hotels either side have running water. Restaurant food is nice, however you have to pay for water if your only half board. Yes even though you've been without electricity, running water and a hotel room. No compensation or compassion here. Advertised as 2 pools and a children's pool. Only 1 pool ready and the children's pool hadn't even be cleaned, and according to the life guard isnt for use even though no signs up to advise otherwise. She even watched us paddling in it and said nothing until we asked her?! General staff are lovely, however management and reception staff are rude and obnoxious.
I would give this hotel a 2 stars only because the room was cold the heating did not work. The electricity went off, the room was missed cleaned for one day. The water was not cold but it was also a water that you couldn’t have a proper shower as it was not proper water for shower. The food was great but also a little bit boring as it was pretty much the same every day. we had spoken to people that had arrived the same day as us and they were disappointed the same as we was with the water and electricity going off and also no heating working. But one thing I loved was the staff they were ever so welcoming and supportive. The location was amazing had the sea view room and wouldn’t complain about the view, only that the towels and bed sheets get cleaned every 2 days which in my opinion is not right. There was no atmosphere throughout the day, no like games no nothing just at the pool, they music on and that’s on till 6pm, nothing interesting at all. We went for 4 nights and I would tell you now I would not give this hotel a 4 stars as it was nothing like hotels I been before with 4 starts.

die Hauptstraße daneben
Hotel staff are rude and don’t listen to you and hotel bathroom was flooding and getting really slippy. Won’t go again the food was okay some nights but found pink chicken so didn’t eat the chicken. Pool side was slippy not much entertainment the pool side food was nice. Don’t think there is much to do round the area. Wouldn’t go again!
I am dissatisfied with the hotel and its location. The staff, however, provided exceptional service. The executive rooms are satisfactory, but the older section of the hotel is quite dated. There are two pools; the main pool plays loud music throughout the day, and the second pool becomes shaded in the afternoon. The alcoholic beverages, particularly the beer, were unpalatable, and most of the carbonated soft drinks were flat. While the food was of good quality, the dining experience felt comparable to a factory canteen. Can not understand why people love it 😒

This is a truly fantastic hotel! I loved everything about it, for my first time in Rhodes it was a great experience. The location was great, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pool was amazing! I was half board and really enjoyed the food too, I was advised if I wasn’t having dinner in the restaurant I was welcome to eat there for lunch instead which was incredibly generous. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel at all. It was a 5-star experience all round!
This is a honest review, just got back from a lovely holiday to Rhodes , Rhodes Town & especially the old Town were beautiful highly recommend to go there, Lindos & Symi a definite choice to go too, stunning places , THE HOTEL this is not a 4 ⭐️in my opinion, very tired looking , needs new sun beds as the ones were very old , The rooms were ok we just had the standard ones little small but functional, cleaned every day , towels are old and thin , The furniture in the hotel needs replacing again old , windows need a good clean especially in the restaurant , Food was a bit limited, however we did always find something to eat most nights, the food was mostly Luke warm needed to be hotter, soup always good & hot tho .The hotel staff were fantastic always friendly & work so hard . Unfortunately there is a strong smell of sewage up by the pool area & outside the hotel, this is coming from the sewage outlet across the road !!!!!!!!! Stinks wouldn’t go in the see because of this , beach not good full of rocks & stones , the busses are every 20mins & only 10 minutes to Rhodes town/ old town so handy to get about, would possibly go back but certainly a different location & hotel.
A nice hotel, staff are all really friendly, especially the bar man, he really makes your evening when going for a drink. The rooms are nice, very clean and have everything you could need. We’re here with family and all the rooms are nice, good views. The whole hotel is very clean, they have an excellent housekeeping team who deserve praise. We haven’t eaten dinner in the hotel much, but when we have the food has been nice, not a massive selection but overall decent quality. The breakfast is a good selection and can’t fault the offering. The pool area is lovely, a nice selection of two pools, one for adults and one for the kids, the pool is quite cold, but refreshing on a hot day. Overall, the hotel is clean, staff friendly, rooms nice and good value for money.
Definitely NOT 4 star!! 3 for the hotel and a generous 2 for the food!! Who eats carrots for breakfast?? Pictures look nice but the reality is they are just about to close down for the winter and we were literally given the dregs from the freezer to eat!! Nice room but NOT an executive suite, mostly nice staff, cold pools but we enjoyed that. Food....hmmm.... Pretty rubbish actually, carrots and raw oats for breakfast?? Other offering there including burnt to a cinder really awful streaky bacon and beans but EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was cold including plates!! Just dreadful, either offer a FULL service or close your doors now!! I
Couldn't fault it really, went all inclusive, food fantastic and great variety. Hotel was spotless as were the rooms, friendly staff, very helpful. Even had free upgrade to executive room, thank you!!
Booked with our usual holiday provider after reading the reviews has mixed concerns. Here's what we found Good bits Close to sea, nice pool area, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice balcony area overlooking both pool and sea. Restaurant plenty big enough and could always get a table without issue. Ok bits Tea and coffee facilities Housekeeping Food to a degree. Have had worse and have had better. If being honest meals were not hot, only warm, so we're cold before you had the chance to finish them. Desserts - not a lot of options, fruit - if you don't like melons or oranges you were a bit stuck for choice. Breakfast plentiful but again only ever like warm. You wouldn't starve by any means but it all became a little repetitive but the end of the week. Bad bits Noisy, especially at night. The walls between rooms is very thin and not well insulated which meant that if you were next door to someone's crying baby or someone with a snoring issue you were keep awake all night. I could actually hear what was happening in the next apartments bathroom, so either they were very loud or the walls are made of paper. Bathrooms although spotlessly clean are a little dated. Wardrobe space in our room limited. Did not spoil our holidays but upgrading could have made it better.
I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of October with my partner and we could not fault it. After recently being diagnosed with coeliac disease i felt quite nervous with how i was going to manage this but the staff could not of been more helpful. The head chef emmet was brilliant, every time he saw me come into the restaurant he took me round all of the food and explained what was safe for me and always offered to make something different if there was nothing that I liked. Mika on reception was also so helpful, as soon as I made her aware of me being coeliac she gave me all the information I needed . I saw a lot of comments about the hotel being on a main road to get to the beach but cars do slow down for you and there’s zebra crossings not to far from the hotel to cross. Bus stop is just down the road to get to the old town. The buses do get really cramped as they let a lot of people on however it’s about a 10 minute journey We would definitely stay again
We arrived just in time for the evening meal .the food was amazing a lot to choose from. Staff all over the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. They had 10 cocktails included in the all inclusive. Pools were ice cold but you soon got used to it . Would not recommend people with kids as there is not a lot to do for them apart from the pool and games area. But would highly recommend for older families we had a fantastic time and lots of resting by the pool .
We stayed at the Belair Beach Hotel between 1st-11th September 2025. We arrived late on the first day and check in was so straightforward. The gentleman at reception was friendly and explained everything to us. He showed us to our room, helped with bags and setting up the safe (€20 extra). There was a plate of food and bottle of water in the fridge for us both as we had missed dinner. We stayed in executive room 569 on the fifth floor with views from the balcony overlooking the sea and the main pool. The room was modern with white and blue painted walls, a large wardrobe with hanging and shelf storage, a desk with a couple of chairs and a shower room with a walk in rainfall shower. To our surprise, towels and bed linen were changed every other day. The room was always fresh and clean with the beds made up every day (unless you leave out the ‘do not disturb’ sign). The fridge had plenty of space to hold our big bottles of water we purchased from the supermarket beneath the hotel. There was free WiFi available in our room and around the hotel although we found it not to work in the outside area by the lobby bar. The main pool is a decent size and has an infinity edge at the far end. Sun loungers were reserved from 6am some days and despite there being warning posters, no one ever removed towels despite some guests not arriving for up to 8 hours after they laid their towels. There was always the odd sun lounger available after 9am although the majority were taken before 8am. The hotel has views across the sea to Turkey. The busy main road between Rhodes and the airport passes in front of the hotel but we were aware of it having looked for local amenities on Google Maps before booking. Supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops and even mini golf were all within walking distance of the hotel. Crossing the road can be difficult but there are zebra crossings a few hundred yards in each direction. There was also a small, shallower children’s pool and another seemingly quieter pool on the other side of the hotel. The main pool has a mix of music on every day between 10am and 6pm. While this adds atmosphere, sometimes I felt it was too loud. There were often pool games including aqua aerobics and water volleyball, which were popular. There was a lifeguard who mainly resided by the children pool and one side of the main pool. We often sat on the sun loungers close to the road and we soon stopped noticing any noise. Aeroplanes often flew over on their approach to the airport some 15 minutes drive away and we found them a joy to watch when we were at the infinity edge. There is a beach opposite the hotel but we favoured staying by the pool during the day. A pair of beds and a parasol were typically available to hire for €10. We enjoyed evening walks by the beach and beautiful sunsets each evening. We were all inclusive and were impressed with the hotel food. Breakfast was cooked breakfast, continental, fruit with yoghurt or even cakes/biscuits/pancakes. There were a variety of sausages and at least 3 choices of eggs every morning. Lunch and dinner were varied with plenty of choice. Most days were themed, Friday being fish and this was impressive even though we don’t eat a lot of fish normally this gave me the opportunity to try crab and octopus. There was a Chinese themed night and also a cheese and wine night. To us there was food for anyone and if you did not want to try the Greek cuisine there was always pizza and chips every single day. We used the snack bar a few times and got our inclusive drinks throughout the day. The bar staff are very lovely and Besa always remembered us and our drink order each day (Orange Juice and Lemonade with Grenadine). Neither myself or my partner drink alcohol so we relied on the soft drinks. There are three supermarkets in close proximity of the hotel including one directly under it. These sold snacks, drinks, clothes and gifts. You can also buy bus tickets for €1.80 per person per journey. We travelled on the bus to Rhodes, but we saw others heading to the Butterfly Valley and airport. There was a variety of entertainment most evenings by the lobby bar which started at around 9pm. We saw the fire show and live music, but there were also bingo, karaoke, quiz and dancing evenings. These were led by the in-house ‘Animation’ team Judi and Dino, who we would regularly see engaging with guests by the pool. There was also darts and table tennis in the hotel games room. We went on a few trips and even hired a car for the day for €55 from Alfa Cars underneath the hotel. We enjoyed the boat trip to Lindos organised by Jet2 which included three hours in Lindos and a couple of swimming stops in quiet coves. We drove to the Butterfly Valley, Seven Springs, Grande Blue Beach and Rhodes Old Town, where we parked by Thermai Park for €7 per day (labelled as ‘Parking Full Day’ on Google Maps). Butterfly Valley is well-worth a visit, Seven Springs less so as the thought of walking along a dark, narrow tunnel was not appealing. Some of the roads towards the centre of the island can be steep and twisty so keep to the coast roads if you prefer flatter roads. Belair Beach Hotel is a 4 star hotel and we feel this is an accurate reflection based on our experience and the ratings given in Greece. We found some minor issues, such as a broken toilet seat and door in the male toilets and the drain cover around the pool would benefit from a jet wash, but all in all we were impressed with our stay and would definitely return in future.
Nice mid-sized hotel right across to beach. Suit rather more mature clientele. It is very vell-run 4-star hotel. It has 2 large swimming pools and small paddling pool. We spend wonderful 1 week in executive suite facing sea. The room was clean and well-maintained with nice sea views in the morning and evening. Hotel was very quiet aside from big bars and clubs. Yet, if you wish to you can reach those quite easily. It is a great place for somebody who wants quiet time with easy access to swimming pools and beach. The sunbeds on the beach across the road just 5 Euro. Wonderful, friendly and very helpful staff. They would really deserve another star. Food was very good with a lot of choice from traditional dishes to local dishes. I do appreciate their effort and great hospitality. Thank you for a great time.
Lovely hotel, it was as expected. Nice room with balcony (smoking allowed :)) overlooking the sea and pool. Rooms were cleaned daily, sheets and towels every 2 days but they did change them if left on the bathroom floor. We went all inclusive which we haven't done before, we will go half board next time as we are not pool users and like to go exploring all day. The pool area was nice though and well used by others and not noisy. The all inclusive beer was ghastly but you could buy bottled beer. We had a fridge in our room so stocked it with beers from the neighbouring supermarket which had everything we needed. We left one door card in the room when we went out to keep the fridge on when we were out. The self service breakfast was excellent as the evening meals with lots of choices but soon goes cold once sat at your table. Staff were very friendly and work hard. Quiet area with a few local bars/restaurants a short walk away. Bus to Rhodes town frequent but very busy and often full and drove past but taxis often pull up and offer a cheap ride of 5 euros per person with others so we used these. The walk into Rhodes town is nice, about 1.5 miles along the beach path. Would recommend if you want a quiet relaxing break with minimal entertainment and noise which suited us. Left a tip for the cleaning ladies as they close end of October until April, they worked very hard to ensure your room was spotless.
We had an executive sea view room which was lovely, the room was clean and spacious (even with two small children), nice big balcony too. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, the receptionist night shift man was helpful and friendly to required additional assistance. Alex and Sammy do their best to bring fantastic entertainment throughout the hotel, they are enthusiastic and great at getting everyone involved. We loved the water aerobics, darts and evening entertainment. Alex was friendly and great with my little boy too! Good selection of food and drink with a different theme each evening. Something for everyone at all meal times. Great that you get drink service to your table at lunch and dinner. Staff are all very attentive and friendly, very accommodating to our large group of 15. We arrived late and had a smooth, speedy check in and when there was some plates of food in our fridge and some bottles of water upon our arrival. Hotel was in good location, there is a bus just down the road which takes you into old town, you can purchase bus tickets from the supermarket next door for a couple of euros. Has a good selection of bars and restaurants down the road too. We visited glory days FBI sports bar a few times and highly recommend. Great cocktails, great food and amazing service. We spent the day at the beach across the road too, 5 euros for a sunbed for the day. Beach is stony so I would recommend taking some water shoes if you want to go in the sea. (The sea is much warmer than the pool too) We had a great stay here and would recommend this hotel to others.
Stayed in October on an inclusive basis (this hotel has various levels of boards), towards end of season and had some freak bad weather days but was still able to sit out in the sun for most part. I'll start with the good bits of the hotel.... *Large executive ground floor room overlooking pool and sea. Great view and room clean. Large bathroom with rainforest shower. *Two pools, front one was noisier but had plenty of sun beds and snack/bar. We preferred the back one, quiter but back pool does not do snacks only drinks. *Restaurant waiting staff very attentive and work very hard! Reception staff lovely, particularly the night shift guy! *On main route in for buses, taxis however we used pristeige travel coach which we booked using a QR code at reception. *Lots of eaterys and bars within walking distance. The down side....... *Hotel very dated, large sections of the hotel with wasted space with 80/90s looking furniture and information boards and folders that seem to have come from the same era! Could have done so much more with these spaces. Need more comfy seating near bar area but all chairs within bar and outside was hard seating. *Hotel overlooks the main road into Rhodes old town and therefore can be very noisy and busy. Cars do slow down when you attempt to cross but you need to cross with caution, even at the zebra crossing! *Fridge in room is empty and noisy! As all inclusive we presumed it would be stocked with soft drinks at least but you aren't even alloweed bottles of soft drinks or water on AI basis, only plastic cups of water fizzy drinks! *Room walls are thin and if you have a balcony and don't smoke, expect your neighbour to be smoking which will blow over to your balcony. Not sure if there is a no smoking block but it did effect when we could sit out on the balcony. *Room is made daily but towels and sheets changed every other day, not a big issue for us but maybe for some. *Entertainment in the evening we didn't really bother with, didn't look that great but is outside next to busy road traffic so could be noisy. *Drinks are served in plastic cups, would be nice to have option of serving in people's reusable bottles to save on waste. *Pools are Baltic temperatures! Even in the summer months I hear as well. *(Dated) Kettle in room with tea and coffee. Creama for coffee but if you need milk for tea you need to take it from the restaurant in a cup. Overall we felt we were on a 3* hotel and certainly not a 4*. Our advice is to not go all inclusive here but perhaps half board as there are plenty of other places to eat nearby or a short taxi ride away as whilst we felt the food served was good, it became repetitive and so we ate out a few times more than we thought we would. If going in October make sure you bring extra jumpers and PJs as we were quite cold at night!
Ok,so this is my second time at this hotel and absolutely the last. The difference a year makes is outstanding, last year it was welcoming, friendly and had great food - the only downside was the cleaners stealing from the room. This year, holy mackerel. The reception team are cold and unhelpful - the food is the worst I've experienced on a Greek island hotel, the restaurant staff are unhappy to say the least. Honestly at the moment I am searching for another hotel to go to - we apparently got an upgrade. The fridge barely keeps things cold, the door was constantly beeping which we were relaibly informed to "close the door properly" which didn't actually make any difference at all - we just gave up on them doing anything at all. Luckily for us, this trip I was here to review the hotel so I have everything recorded (even the interaction with the man telling us things weren't broken and it was our fault for not doing things properly). There is no way this hotel deserves it's 4 stars anymore, 2 at best. Do yourself a favour, don't stay here you will be disappointed.
Another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair. Really appreciate been giving the same floor with pool/sea view as before. Reception staff were great and so helpful on arrival. Dining room staff were brilliant as well as a great choice of food. Maids done a great job and also the lifeguard was helpful and pleasant at the pool. A big shout out for Ilias the head barman and his team at the main bar who were relentless pouring drinks and minimising any queues. Great timing for us with Alex (Gerry Cinnamon) joke😎 returning for the day and evening entertainment while we were there as I have said before he was one of the funniest guys I had met in years and still is as well as a great entertainer. Overall another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair.
My husband & I stayed at this hotel we got Executive Sea View Room. This room was lovely good sized room lovely & clean. Nice bathroom & good shower. Hairdryer in the bathroom & shampoo supplied. Lovely view overlooking the main pool & the beach. We were Half board, always something to eat at breakfast & dinner. Though the dinner choice did get repetitive, not enough choice In the evening. We found the staff lovely & helpful. Also are room was cleaned everyday. Location was good near all the bars & restaurants & the beach. & Only about 10 minutes on the bus into Rhodes. Great shop beside the hotel as you come of the main door to the left hand side. Good prices & lovely staff Bad Points Main pool bar not enough selection of drinks. Also we found the selection of food wasn't great. Also wasn't any ice lolly's snacks etc. We usually ate out in Ixia at lunchtime if we're hungry. Smaller pool (downstairs from where you get breakfast) lovely pool we preferred here as it was a lot quieter. Again not great selection of drinks & didn't do any food or snacks at all. Good base for exploring Greece. We loved Ixia lovely place quiet & lots of nice restaurants for dinner. Not a bad hotel just feel there is some things they could improve on. If we were back in Rhodes I don't think we would stay at this hotel again but that is personal choice. We dont usually stay in the same hotel. So many other hotels to stay in Ixia if we were to come back.
Just returned from a 14 night stay, very average hotel, Pool bar staff disinterested in serving drinks , would rather talk to each other, restaurant staff only happy at 8.45 when it was time to share their tips. No daytime entertainment the first week , this did improve the 2nd week. Hotel was clean and the infinity pool was a nice touch.
The hotel was in a good location, the room was clean. The food was not really delicious. The people working here are nice. The pool is very cold. The gym was not good, only 2 things can be used in it.
Just back from a fab 10 nights at Bel Air,no negatives, only positives.Staff all really nice and very hard working, big shout to Giannis in the restaurant for looking after us so well during our stay, even found time for a bit of banter about the football.Food was varied and in my opinion something for everyone.Had an executive room with sea view and couldn't really have asked for anything more, spotlessly clean and tidy at all times.Nice selection of sports bars and tavernas nearby so all good.Would definitely recommend and will probably return. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 4/5
Hotel was very nice , room was cleaned every day , the hotel staff are an absolute credit to their employer, the food is well above your average all exclusive, love the different soups and there pizza is great , the cooked meat dishes were delicious, plenty of sunbeds and across the road is the beach , Beer is very nice also the wine , bog standerd spirits take your own duty free, lovely first time in Rhodes, will be back
Absolutly brilliant had executive room can't hear the cars or bikes at all Staff are lovely, food is very very good, Hotel is cleaned throughly My only grip is the tles in shower need a better non slip mat as I have mobility probs , But in all it was a perfect 10 days. I really dont want to leave. Would I come back to this hotel ??? Yes Absolutly n wed book the executive room again, I love this hotel, The reviews people have given this hotel are very very wrong.
We came here for our 10 day Honeymoon. My 2nd time on Rhodes but stayed in a different part of Rhodes my wife's 1st time. We both read past mixed reviews on hotel but you can't please everyone we stayed in the executive suites 5th floor sea view and couldn't fault the view you had waking up from arriving after the restaurant had closed that had 2 plates of food in the fridge and 2 bottles of water. Reception was busy with checking in other guests just arrived as we got a private charter from Airport to Hotel to make life a little easier and the taxi driver was very informative of the area we will be staying at. The tourist tax is 10 Euroes per night for a 4* hotel and the safe payment was another 20 Euroes. The reviews on being on a busy road is right and the beach is over the road and never had a problem crossing it as vehicles will slow down for you to cross. We used the public transport and got the bus tickets from supermarket on the left at 3.60 Euroes per person return from bus stop just up from Hotel on left. We found buses after 9.00am crowded like playing sardines at times. Once into Rhodes you can explore places of interest be it by bus or boat from the kiosks at the harbour side. Places we found a must in our opinion is Boat trip to Symi, The Butterfly valley and 7 Springs. Lindos Acropolis and the Hippo Submarine trip. Also Farma Rhodes where you can get up close and feed the different animals they have and the Lemurs interaction was the highlight. As a chef my opinion of the standard of food offered at the hotel was good but you can't please everyone in what guests like. I like my food and never went hungry in not liking the selection be it breakfast or dinner service. We never used the restaurant at lunchtime as we were out on our planned excursions each day. It does pay to do your homework on things to do on Rhodes as unless your a pool lounger which we weren't and the policy on reserving sunbeds with towels never applied to any guest I feel.Even as even before we went down for breakfast at 7.30am daily there were towels on sunbeds even with signs posted on hotel policy regarding this matter. The evening entertainment had just changed from previous team so things were a little stress but give the new team time to settle by end of present season. Others have written about the traffic noise at night and weve not really noticed just the scooters and motorbike going past but with over 50% riding with no safety equipment on as my wife's a biker couldn't get her head round possibly knowing what happens if you crashed. We are planning to comeback at a later date once we've saved enough to fly to Rhodes for another 10 day hol😎😊. The housekeepers cleaned the rooms every day and hotel spotless and marbled floor throughout was kept clean.
Amazing hotel, exceptionally clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. The infinity pool is amazing with some lovely views over the sea. Couldn’t fault anything about our stay and we would definitely return here again. Location is good for getting into Rhodes old town via taxi and if you go to the rank just past the roundabout they put you in mini buses together if going to the same place which cut the cost down 😃
We are just back from a 2 week stay at the Belhair Hotel , and had a fabulous stay, room was executive with sea view and did not disappoint , reception staff were lovely as were the staff in restaurant, always greeted you with a smile, cleaners always said good morning as well , we just had the best holiday and thankyou all staff at the Belhair for making our holiday such a lovely experience 10/10 to you all , and the view from the pool there are no words AMAZING, thankyou again to you all we had a blast .
Great hotel, our party of 8 have just had a fab week. The rooms are lovely with kettles and fridges, hairdryers, air con & all the usual facilities. The maid service is good & tea/ Coffee are topped up when needed. The all inclusive is very much worth the money & the food is great with plenty of choice. entertainment both day and night was good & there's a beach over the road that costs just £5 all day all day for a sunbed, we chose mostly to go on the beach for the breeze as both pools are real sun traps ( music is great around the pool but there is a quiet pool as well ) all the staff are happy and amenable, all in all a fab place and in a good location & only £10 in a taxi to Rhodes centre - loved it!
After reading recent reviews we were a little apprehensive about what to expect from the hotel but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is beautifully clean and all the staff that we encountered were always very smiley and friendly. We had booked half board but ate out every night as there were lots of restaurants we wanted to try, the hotel allows you to use your food allocation for lunch which we did on multiple afternoons. We always found there was a good selection of food, we stayed for 10 nights and didn’t find it was overly repetitive. We also ate in few restaurants In ixia, we would highly recommend El Gecco, great atmosphere, Greek dancing, music and plate smashing, Dream Cream ice cream is also a must! The pool area is lovely and very clean, people do go down to reserve beds quite early however we never struggled to get a bed. Music around the pool was a nice touch and varied genre. We used the bus almost everyday to Rhodes, tickets can be purchased from the shop next door, the buses can be quite busy and will just drive past if too full so always allow more time that you might need just in case it’s busy. On our last day we had to vacate our room at 11am and our airport transfer was not until 9pm. I had read that you could pay an additional €55 euros to keep the room until 5pm but the hotel have showers and a changing area that you can use which was really handy so we didn’t feel the additional charge was worth paying. I will agree with other reviews that I do not believe the hotel is 4*, as some of the decor is a little dated and lacking character. As we went out every evening we could not comment on the evening entertainment however it never looked too exciting as we passed on our return. Overall we had a fantastic stay, if you are looking for a clean, well run hotel in a good area I would not hesitate to recommend Belair Beach!
I have travelled to the Greek islands in the past, but this was my first visit of Rhodes. We travelled as two couples, and had a really relaxed 10 night stay at the Belair Beach hotel, but some items I have added to my review here are accurate and I really hope the hotel can work on to improve the experience for future guests, as the resort does have a lot of potential. Firstly, I agree with many comments I have read regarding the star rating. This is definitely NOT a four star hotel based on others with the same rating that I have stayed in previously. This is an average three star resort at best. It feels that the inflated star rating has been set so that guests need to pay an inflated tourist tax which needed to be paid on arrival. We had to pay the €100 fee for for our stay. LOCATION The resort was really well situated. The transfer time from the airport was only around 20 minutes, and around the same time for a short bus/taxi ride into Rhodes town - which is an excellent place to visit. There is the beach directly opposite the hotel but the road in between can be busy and crossing is a bit tricky (we did eventually find a small underpass at the nearby Rodos Palace hotel). The beach was stones and not very sandy. There were costs for hiring sun beds and parasols as you would expect, and there were water sports available where you could hire jet skis etc. STAFF Most of the staff at the hotel seemed to be nice and helpful when needed, especially in the restaurant, they were a great team. Big shout out to George who served us on a daily basis, what a friendly and charming young man he is! The exception was for the staff on reception who were offish and came across as rude when help/information was required. ROOMS (ADDITIONAL COST €20) The rooms, although basic, were clean and offered the standard facilities you would expect. Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, mini fridge and a balcony overlooking the pool and most that I could see offered a sea view. Safe boxes were €20 to hire for the duration of the stay (non refundable). Our room was cleaned by the maids on a daily basis, room towel swaps were made most days (not all) and beds were remade. FOOD/DRINK Food was a bit 'hit and miss' for a couple of picky eaters in our party. Some evenings proved to be a struggle to find anything they could eat. There was the usual stalwarts of any buffet that were on offer every night - pizza/chips/salad. We resorted to spending more money by visiting restaurants along the road on a couple of occasions and saw others with the all-inclusive wristbands from the hotel also there. Certain drinks are not included in the all-inclusive board and the biggest failure of this hotel is that no bottled water is included. At all. This needed to be purchased at the supermarket next door. Never have I ever stayed in an all-inclusive hotel boasting so many stars and having to pay for bottled water. If the owners/management of the hotel read these reports, they need to re-address this. Standard menu of cocktails (there were 12 in all, Pina Colada lovers will be disappointed!) and local beers and spirits were included. Branded drinks needed to be purchased by everyone, which was to be expected. ANIMATION/ENTERTAINMENT (ADDITIONAL COST €10pp) The animation team consisted of just two people who were really nice, but were only mostly seen during the evenings although I understand that there were pool activities in the main pool area during the day (water aerobics and volleyball). We only discovered this in the latter part of the holiday. It would have been a nice touch for some form of communication to others that wanted to relax in the quieter pool area so that everyone knew what was on and when. There was one evening a week with the Greek music and dancing provided by an outside group which was the highlight. Another external act we saw on one night was a fire eater/bead of nails/walking on glass act. Listening to the same 1980’s playlist on loop all evening was a bit poor on many evenings. On bingo nights, you had to fork out an additional €10 each to participate. What!? Other nights consisted of a quiz and karaoke. Additionally, experiences that I thought were intrusive were the photographers who badgered you a couple of times a week as you entered the restaurant at dinner. They ask you to pose for photographs which were available to view/purchase the next morning at breakfast and you felt obliged to buy them - these cost €50. Then there was the guy during the evening entertainment who went from table to table peddling his own art work. POOL AREAS We did decided to use the older pool area as it did seem quieter which we preferred to relax around - I’m not sure how often this pool was cleaned as the water on some days seemed cloudy and you could feel grit/sand under your feet. After mentioning this to the reception, a guy appeared the next morning to hoover the pool floor - apparently according to the hotel manager was meant to have been done daily, but it wasn't. For those travelling with small children, there are shallow pool areas on both sides, but on the quite side all of the pool cleaning equipment and containers of chemicals were stored right next to it. Safety issue right there. There were plenty of sun beds around both the new and older pool areas, and there was a notice on the information sheet provided at check-in that people who were to reserve sun beds early would have their towels removed by staff. This was never adhered to, no towels were removed. So it was a bit of a free-for-all. Pool towels are provided to guests and a deposit of €10 per towel (cash only) was need to hire these. You were able to change these every other day. When returning these on your final day, the deposit was returned. LAST DAY / LATE CHECK OUT (ADDITIONAL COST €55) We had a late flight back home and on our last day we took advantage of the late check out option where we were charged another 55 Euros to check out at 5pm rather than at the scheduled 11am slot. Knowing that we now had this booked, we arrived at the pool to catch the last day's sun, only to receive a telephone call from reception telling me that they needed my room back as they needed to allocate this to new arrivals from 1pm that day. They offered me a room up on the 5th floor, I was on the 2nd floor originally so I would have had to make several trips along the corridor and up stairs/lifts to move all of our belongings. I refused this and they were able to offer another room on the 2nd floor for us to move into. This move took over an hour so we lost this time, and and felt really unhappy with being shoved around on our last day. The lady on the desk did apologise and admitted it was her fault for not checking incoming guests before I paid for the extension, and did allow us to keep the room until we needed to depart the hotel for the airport which was at 1930hrs. We did really enjoy our first visit to Rhodes, as it is a beautiful island, and would love to return and holiday there again, but would probably look for an alternative hotel.
This Hotel is in Ixia in Rhodes . Its got bus stops and a bit of a range of bars and shops and restaurants but not many at all . The area is a bit run down in parts. The hotel has a main road in front, which is noisy and busy . Trying to cross to get to the beach is difficult. The beach is very dissapointing very pebbly and rocky and rough . Ideal for wind surfing and surfing but to swim it'd challenging . 25 Euro for 2 sunbed and umbrella on the better ones or 5 Euro for the cheapest ones but not such nice area or beds The hotel is very basic. It has 2 large pools. The lagoon pool overlooks the main road . The pool area is busy and noisy very loud music from the speakers . Sunbed they are still taken at around 7am as lots of family's like the same spots daily . There is a quieter pool which we enjoyed but it does get alot of shade so u need to plan where ull sit to get the most benefit of the sunshine. The loungers are so old and uncomfortable. They really do need to update these . We felt the poolside snacks were very poor. Chips or pork or small seafood salads and cake . Nice bar by the quiet pool but again very cheap beer and spirits for all inclusive guests . Cocktails were very boring and not appetising. Food was ok was always a wide variety. Lots of fish and salad and meats and vegetables. Breakfast was bacon eggs etc carrots abd onion pie which we thought was odd at breakfast. There was cereal and Greek yogurts and cakes and croissants. Fruit wasn't a great choice. The hotel is so dull The bar is not inviting at all . The chairs outside for the evening are terrible metal chairs again really uncomfortable. You can sit inside but its like a canteen not an attractive bar . The entertainment is very poor . The odd singer and Greek dancers who to be fair were quite good. Not much going on for kids no mini disco . No comfort with this hotel for a 4 star its not great at all never comfortable in the foyer air con never on . Rooms are ok very clean. The cleaners work very hard every day and are very friendly. We had a twin pool view which was nice but 2 single beds pushed together. We had a fantastic view of the pool and beach . The system were a mixture I found most reception staff were miserable especially the women . We were Greeted our first night by a gentleman on reception he was very welcoming. We got to our room and had 2 plates of food left in the fridge as we arrived late . Rhodes it self is wonderful we visited the old town, lindos abd symi island beautiful scenery but although of travelling to get there . Bus drivers are very Grumpy too not the best with people . Our view is this a poor 4 star hotel .
This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and we have found the staff each time to be friendly and helpful the rooms are nice and clean, the entertainment was a lot better than the previous visits ideal location for Rhodes old town and other tourist attractions in the area looking forward to going back next year
I have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel, returning on the 13 th of sept, I would like to say as a postitive which there is not many, the rooms are clean the bathrooms are old and very small needlng updating a room that was in the old part of the hotel, the room had a balcony that was over looked from every single angle, I felt I could not go and sit out there as a woman on here own, I felt uncomfortable plus another disgusting guest thought it was a good idea to throw used sanitary products on to my balcanoy another member of our group went down to reception to report what someone was doing as I wasn’t going to Pick it up, there reply was oh well what can we do about that said they would send a cleaner to deal with it which they did but they put it in the ashtray on the table on the balcony. Not what I wanted. As for the receptionists in this hotel a few were ok one was very rude every time you spoke to her could not be bothered to even smile made you feel you could not go to the desk, I cannot name her as she did not wear a name badge, funny that. I paid a lot of money for the all inclusive package, it’s not worth it. Food is awful pasta and pork every night they do not supply bottled water any where, flat fizzy drinks and the main bar is open to 11 every night then after that time you have to pay for all your drinks. The swimming pool is dirt, I had sickness a sore eye and now I’m home an infection in my big toe, In the end I would not use the pool I just sat in the Baby pool, I Know another guest complained about the pool and they did clean it. But I know that guest was unwell a few days after me. The disabled access it’s not good here either people were really struggling lifting there family’s wheelchairs up steps. I paid to keep my room the day I left until 5 as I wasn’t traveling to airport until 8:15 at night and you have to vacate your rooms at 11 in the morning 55 euros it cost me. Then when I dicided to go back to the room to shower they had stopped the pass card from working so I could not get in so had to go back to reception to the lovely happy lady who politely informed me you still need to be out of the room by 5 even though I had been locked out of it. There is so many things about this hotel that are not good but it would take me a week to write them all down. It was a lot of money for a very poor disappointing experience. I will not be returning.
I am writing this whilst still here which is unique. The hotel itself is nice. We are in an executive room overlooking the pool. The room is clean and modern with plenty of space . We did use the spare pillows found in the wardrobe the beds are very comfy. The staff have been very pleasant and helpful. The food as always is bog standard hotel food on an all inclusive. We always found something to eat so can’t complain. We never tried the snacks by the pool as a bit put off with how they were stored. So in essence it’s not a bad 3-4 star hotel. The only things that stop me from returning here are two. Firstly for us and the main one. Do not be fooled by the photos, the hotel is on a road that separates you from the beach. This road is a main arterial route into Rhodes town. You cannot escape the constant traffic noise. Especially in a sea view room or if you are by the main pool of a day and the beach. You are sunbathing at the side of the M6 coupled with the planes on the way in and the loud poolside music it’s not quiet or chill. They do have a quiet pool but not many beds and in the shade . Secondly the entertainment it’s located at the front of the hotel on the road so not private and it competes with the sound of the road. Only one waiter for the area so hit and miss if you get served. So most people go up to the bar. They only do bingo and karaoke with one night of Greek dancing. So not the best and we skipped it . Ixia itself is situated on the main road so all tavernas are on it . As a side note the WiFi is very patchy in your room but works by the pool. Nice hotel just not the best location for us.
After reading some reviews we were unsure what to expect. We arrived late but checkin was seamless and there had been a plate of food made up for us and put in our fridge in the room. We were half board and was advised at checkin that we could switch dinner for lunch any day which gave us loads of flexibility. The buffet style dining was varied and plenty to choose from and kept well stocked. Highlight for me was the cheese board they had on one evening, so many cheeses! The staff worked tirelessly and nothing was ever too much trouble, very attentive without being intrusive and always on hand to offer local advice. The hotel is more traditionally decorated however I don’t see this as an issue, the rooms were spotless beds comfortable and additional pillows in the wardrobe if needed. We tended to go more to the smaller quieter pool where we never had any sunbed issues and the pool staff once again were great. Only thing they I would give a slight mark down on was the evening entertainment however we went out and about most nights. Plenty restaurants and bars locally if you don’t want to venture far but only a short taxi ride to Rhodes town. All in all we had a great week at the Belair.
Just returned after 10 nights at the BELAIR beach hotel and it was amazing , all of the staff were so helpful. The room was spotless , cleaned every other day with clean towels. We had an executive room overlooking the sea. The food was varied and something for everyone. The beach opposite was clean and you could hire 2 sun beds and an umbrella for £10 euros . A bus service from outside the hotel took you into the old town and we took a few trips to other beaches on the island , so much history at times you felt like you were in another century. Rhodes we loved you and would go back in a heartbeat
Just recently returned from belair beach hotel, which is lovely and clean. Good food. Very poor entertainment. Some staff weren't that friendly, especially on reception, it was like everything was an effort from them. Also very slippery around the pools. Not a friendly atmosphere. Didn't need music everyday, when trying to relax and chill around the pool.
Myself and my husband Stayed here for 10 nights. I have never been to a hotel where the staff are so nice , friendly & helpful! The dinning room staff were amazing especially George! He is the nicest most pleasant man! A real credit to the hotel. The rooms were spotless , food was great and a great variety. Pool area was lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back! 10/10 hotel! Gutted to be gone and can’t wait to return.
Went 28 Aug to 4 Sept. Booked 3 rooms for family holiday and we were all allocated close on same floor. Rooms modern, spacious, very clean, walk-in shower. Big dressing table, big mirror with double socket underneath so ideal for getting ready on an evening. Main pool is noisy especially at daily aerobic time when it gets even louder. Quieter pool at the back. No problem getting sunbeds whatever time we went. Mixture of age groups. Beach over the road sunbeds 5 euros. Food adequate. We went half board but did eat out 4 nights at restaurants few doors up, all really good. Taxi to town 15 - 20 euros, 10 mins away. Old Town beautiful, do visit. Hotel staff all friendly and very helpful. Entertainment poor. Ideal sports bar 2 min away, (turn right) for footie etc, staff really friendly and good food. We had late pick-up but could sunbathe all day then use the showers near reception to change, ask for towels. Had a great time. We would all go back. If food and evening entertainment priority for you it may be a bit disappointing.
Food not 4 star. Not much choice and usually hotels of 4 star will have fresh fish and eggs being cooked for you. Only one small fish dish on offer which is strange for a med island .Music around pool far too noisy so can’t sleep and relax. More like a disco. I can’t even plug my earphones in to drown it out, as I can still hear it. Rooms and hotel clean and tidy. Nice staff.
Lovely hotel, very clean rooms. Entertainment is a huge let down. Pub quiz or bingo. Evening entertainment is a huge part of my holiday experience, therefore wasn't as enjoyable as could have been. Unfortunately I will not be returning
Perfekt läge.
Otrevlig personal I receptionen. Bara en person vid incheckningen. Annan personal var helt OK.
All staff throughout hotel very cheerful and helpful especially Kiki in the restaurant who was most helpful with Greek translations. I would definitely return
From start to finish our tui holiday to belair beach on Rhodes was very good with one exception and that was the poor entertainment at the hotel . The poolside music was virtually the same everyday and the evening entertainment program was awful with poorly organised bingo and equally boring karaoke and music quizzes. On a positive note the food was exceptional as was the service at all levels the restaurant manager and his staff were nothing short of perfect .
Ολα ηταν τελεια, .
Το μονο παραπάνω ειναι κακο στρωμα κρεβατιού
We stayed at the hotel on the 19th August for 4nights, from the pick up at the airport to leaving on the 23rd it was a great trip. The staff work extremely hard, hotel clean, lots of food available and variety. The pool is beautiful and not a huge problem with sun loungers. The rooms are large and clean and the air con is amazing. Location is fantastic and it's only a 7 minute bus trip to Rhodes (all info available at reception). We checked out at 11am and our taxi didn't come till 10.10pm and the hotel let us use the all inclusive all day and provided a shower and towels so we can stay by the pool all the day. The only downside was the waves of smell but that wasn't the hotels fault. We will be returning and this time with the children. All in all a great holiday.
צוות המלון היה אדיב ויעיל, אוכל סביר, מיקום מעולה
שילמתי להכל כלול, מיגוון הפינוקים היה מוגבל, שירותים מקלחת קטנים
We are just back from an 11 night stay and the first thing to address is that it doesn't deserve its 4 star rating from Jet2 (our tour operator). First the positives.. Good location only 14-20 euros taxi ride to the old town Beach across the road (would be nice to have a zebra crossing), as you do rely on someone slowing down to get across 3 pools and the quiet pool is nice with some good shade. Adequate beds, although some were broken but we did see them replacing with brand new ones which is good. Multiple lifts which is great as one of our party really struggles with stairs. Food – pizza absolutely spot on, always great choice and freshly made (hottest food) Sunbeds – As always, sunbeds are in demand with a lot of people reserving them from early on in the day. However, it was good to see that if the beds were then not occupied once breakfast had finished, the lifeguard removes towels, even if you have been occupying them before you went for breakfast. Therefore, its advisable to ensure you are on your beds once breakfast service finishes at 10am. On another positive note, on the whole, we found there was always beds to be found whatever time of day you need them and we went in August which is peak season. Now the negatives.. I’m not going to mention entertainment as you will see on multiple reviews it's pretty poor but we can make our own fun lol Firstly, as a non-alcoholic drinker/caffeine intolerant, I usually take the little Robinson's mini juices and I just have water, with an occasional soft drink. However, the place seems to want to limit how much water you can have and so serve water in small glasses/plastic cups. I did request if I could have a larger pint size glass or larger plastic cup to which I was told NO – I raised this with our Jet2 rep who asked if they could make an exception to which it was NO as other people would want the same; it is all inclusive so you would think it wouldn't be a problem. Security – We have never stayed in a hotel without security in the foyer, having never stayed at an HB/AI (all inclusive guests have a band - half board doesn't). Therefore, there would be nothing stopping random people walking into the hotel and using the facilities or popping into rooms when cleaners have the doors open – it didn’t feel secure at all, especially when we have a teenage daughter. Dis-repair - Other than fixing a cracked tile (which a drinks delivery pump truck broke whilst delivering to the quiet pool bar and mowing the grass), I can't see anything else they do. The main pool toilets when we got there had a broken cubicle and urinal in the mens and similar in the woman's that never changed for our 11-night stay. I did hear a rumour that they are trying to sell hotel but not sure if this is correct but they obviously don't look like they want to spend money on it. Staff – I see loads of people commenting on the staff and how happy they are and polite. I’ve experienced so much better. Usually your cleaner is the best of all and we always leave a good tip in response (saved the money) On 3 occasions had to go for toilet roll and bin liners as they hadn’t replaced and other than towels in the bathroom and making the beds, nothing else moved in the room for 11 days. Snack bar food – Really don’t bother as other than luke warm chips, you had a choice of two warm options and then sandwiches and salads, donuts and some cakes. It seemed to be anything that was left over from the night before. Very poor considering we arrived after the main restaurant had finished lunch service. Restaurant food – We are fussy eaters and was disappointed but some nights are better than others. Although personally I was stuck with pizza and chips for 8 nights and we ate out for the other 3. The choice is limited and not what we have had at other 4 star hotels. For example, there was no bread for 2 evenings as it was covered with tea towels, although it isn’t the freshest anyway. Restaurant – Having stayed with friends who weren’t all inclusive it seems if you get a good waiter your drinks are on him and on multiple evenings this was the case. This was a bit annoying if you’d paid for the all inclusive like us. The biggest disappointment though came on our last night, we were sat eating our evening meal when a little girl on the table at the side of us was awfully unwell and was sick over the table and floor. The staff were immediately alerted to it and it took several minutes for the guy in the black who seemed to be in charge, to move chairs as to hide the mess on the floor but was still on the table. 15 minutes then passed and we went and spoke to staff to ask why it hadn’t been cleaned up ---“not my job I am a waiter we are waiting for a cleaner” several more minutes later, a cleaner appears with full PPE gear on to tidy up – this is not acceptable in a busy dining area. In all honesty, we did come to the conclusion we had a nice holiday, but we wouldn’t go back to this particular hotel and would advise people to try and stay elsewhere. This simply does not rate as a 4 star hotel for us.
