Everything was perfect, very clean. The lady on reception was so lovley.
A bit expensive for one night.
Near ferry port
Did not have breakfast. Check-in: friendly, polite staff. Decent night’s sleep. Could hear traffic on M27, but did not keep me awake.
Rather expensive on this Saturday night, more than double the price at the very same hotel on a previous Sunday evening!
Good location. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed.
No restaurant, no bar.
Last minute booking
Nothing
Convenient for where we needed to be
Too basic. Pillows very uncomfortable. Some traffic noise
Overcharged. I booked the place for 3 nights and had to leave after the first night due to an emergency. I talked to the staff and checked out on the 2nd day before 9 am. They promised to refund for next 2 nights. But no refund was made, and was totally ghosted afterwards. Stayed only one night and charged for 3 nights.
Overcharged. Stayed only one night and charged for 3.
Free parking easy accessible a clean comfortable room at a good price
It's was all ok
Noise from the motorway, better double glazing and insulation would help
It was very good value for money and a perfect position for our ongoing journey. Facilities were perfect for a short stay.
Nothing
Cheap and what we needed for a short stay
Difficult to locate and no lift
Clean and calm
Don't have lift
Its location was great for a quick over night stay before a cruise holiday the next morning. The front desk staff were friendly.
It was not clean. We couldn’t use the bath or shower because it had excessive mould. The carpet and the bedding was itchy. We all left the next morning scratching and wishing we had increased our budget for this night and stayed elsewhere for a more comfortable/clean place to sleep.
Does what it says in the tin. Convenient, cheap and the staff were helpful.
Nothing to complain about for £60
The lovely welcome from Debbie on reception- she is very helpful and good at her job.
Very bad customer service
Customer service is very very bad
We had broken down so we’re thankful for the location and a good night of sleep
The carpet under the sofa was littered with dust and sweet wrappers - it hadn’t been moved for years to be cleaned. We needed to move it to accommodate our family. We also felt that at £119 for the night it was about twice the price it should have been.
Location, friendly staff
Room dated, dirty, not enough pillows, too hot
Plenty of parking
Fast food outlets only nearby No real security accessable to all
Nice and patient staff. 25% discount voucher is a very good deal. Free parking.
Outdated decoration, need refurbishment, the shower head in our room is malfunctioning.
Convenience
No hot water
Very polite and friendly lady receptionist. Big room and good location.
Shower quite old.
Room was nice and quiet, particularly surprising given the motorway location. We stayed as a stop-over to the Isle of Wight and the nearby services offered a wide range of food options.
It was clean, big spacious room as kids beds were in a separate type room attached which was great. Had everything we needed.
I used the name rather than postcode on the paperwork and it took me miles around Southampton to what I am guessing is the back of the services.
Cleaning ,caring
Room ) 8) soke place dam
The staff were friendly.
Room did not have enough beds, when we swapped rooms, the toilet leaked the entire time, the shower pipes also burst. This was reported at the time.
Convenient location
Floor had debris and bathroom cobwebs
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very basic and poorly furnished. The bed was uncomfortable especially the pillows that were flat and inadequate. No bedside table on one side of a double bed.
Better pillows. Better furnished room.
Convinient
They came to knock on our door to complain about kids crying and banging and nothing of that sort happened. There was a baby crying opposite room and they didnt do anything about. Did they come to us because of who we are? They could think of our room not anyone else. There was no banging at all, tv volume was super low and non of my kids even cried . Kids cry and they should no that . Thats why we didnt mind the little baby cry on the opposite side. My baby is 11 months and can cry any time, but was not even crying when they came to knock on our door. They better put it clear on their website that no children allowed if that is the case.
Nothing. Was horrendous
If I could give the place a zero I would. The room was filthy, smelt of mould. Wee down the toilet seat, white marks all over the bed which were clearly bodily fluid, looked like blood on the mattress, lights didn’t work, ripped mattress protector, cigarette holes in the mattress, limescale and rust all over the shower. The bathroom filthy. For £90 I don’t expect five star but I expect basics cleanliness Staff member said “looks like rust on the bath. I wouldn’t have looked at the mattress” Just REVOLTING. We were told we can’t be forced to stay but what are you supposed to do at 21:45 at night with three young children? Worst place I have ever stayed
Location as close to Southampton for cruise terminal
Only outlet food available in service area was McDonalds despite being told there was more . Expectations need to be managed. Room was tired and needed a good clean. Even found a half used packet of Pringles under spare pillows. Insect in cobweb in corner of room
The staff were absolutely lovely. It was my daughter's birthday and she was given a bar of chocolate and they had so much time for us. It was so convenient for Paulton's Park - 8 miles away.
We only had one pillow each, we asked for an extra couple and were told there were none available (had to go out and buy some).
The young lady on reception was lovely but I fear for her safety if she is all alone in the place when people start coming through as there seem to be all manner of people in the world these days, not all pleasant.
The place is right next to the Motorway thus noisy, the rooms are dark and poorly maintained, the doors are all set so they bang everytime someone comes through thus late night arrivals with babies in the corridor wake everyone up with all their door banging as they go up and down stairs getting luggage. No fridge, no instructions how to make shower work properly as it just fills the bath otherwise. All in all wont book again.
Location was convenient found the place easily booking in was a breeze had a very comfortable stay and good nights sleep.
Cannot think of anything
I liked that our family of 4 were able to fit comfortably in the room.
1. The smell. The room and the coridoors stank of sweat and wee. 2. The room was dirty! Spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Dust. General dirt. Was filthy. 3. The bathroom shower had no hot water. Only lukewarm.
Spacious rooms. Lots of shelving and space to put bits and bobs. Staff friendly. Rooms were clean. Shower was nice.
Room was very hot due to the weather. AC would have been a good addition. Also only one pillow per person however we didn't ask for additional so not sure if more would have been available.
Lovely for a night close to shop and food places
Was hot but no fans available
Check in and the readiness of the room. Ability to travel with my cat for cat shows.
I would have liked to find a fan in the room in view of the very hot weather. It would also be helpful if the shower could be changed for a moveable height as some people have a fear of water coming straight down onto them. There was no toilet paper, only a box of tissues.
Location was convenient as we were going to Peppa Pig World.
The rooms are worn out. The wash facilities are falling apart. I booked 4 rooms and each had a problem. The worst was my room that was covered in dog hair despite the bedding being freshly made. As we arrived very late at night, we fell asleep and only saw the actual state of the room the following morning. Another rooms wqsh hand basin was blocked, the staff promised to unblock but did not. The shower head did not operate properly and leaked all night.
The receptionist was friendly.
Booked a room for 4, went to the room to realise there was one single bed and a double bed. Thought I’d maybe been given the wrong room. Went to speak to the receptionist and they assured me it was the correct room and the other bed is underneath the double bed. So I went upstairs to expect some fold out bed attached. But no it was a single mattress with a small sheet duvet, so after travelling for 4 and half hours on the motorway looking forward to at least a half decent night sleep. I was sleeping on the floor of a not very clean hotel room on a mattress. We cancelled the following night as I couldn’t cancel that night as it was less than 12 hours notice. I since haven’t been able to get in contact with the hotel as I didn’t have my bank details too hand. And have yet to be refunded.
Location for the ferry
Parking
No lift. Hotel old and tired. No restaurant. Only fast food.
Close to Paulton park
Vieze badkamer, geen koelkast in kamer.
there was no lift at this hotel
no lift
Very well located. I stay in a number of Days Inn around the country and this was one of the nicest
The girl on reception was exceptionally. Very friendly and help with any queries from myself or others. The room was comfortable. A few marks on the carpet but everything else was very clean
Bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower worked well. ie. the room was perfectly adequate but nothing special. The location was very convenient if you are travelling along the motorway from East to West. The price was good.
The hotel did not provide its own breakfasts but instead relied on the service station where it was located. Unfortunately, the service station's breakfast I had ("traditional" breakfast served up in a cardboard bowl) was rubbery and tasteless, ie. awful. You would be better off going to McDonald's for a standard burger.
Comfy bed .
Couch in the room was stained. Curtain rail fell down when we drew the curtains, my husband has to put them back.
Handy for where I needed to be. Check in was efficient and the receptionist was really helpful. Room was clean and quiet despite proximity to the road. I had messaged ahead to ask for a ground floor room at the end of the corridor (otherwise my dogs would bark at passers by) and I got exactly what I asked for.
It’s a shame that most of the food outlets close early, leaving only MacDonalds open.
Accommodation and staff very good. Downside was the complicated trip from North Side of Rownhams service station to the South Side was not highlighted until after it had been booked and paid for. Subsequently travel arrangements were helpful but I felt this should have been made clear before room was booked
Location is good Staff were helpful and friendly Vouchers discount offer for roadchef partners
The room is dusty and not ideal if you have children Bathroom/tub was dirty and not suitable for children, shower was OK, but there are insects around, be cautious as we had insect bites when sleeping.
L’hotel est calme malgré l’e.placement.
L’hôtel se situe sur une aire de service de voie rapide. Pas de petit déjeuner et obligation de se rendre dans le centre à côté.
Clean
Rooms.need modernising
Friendly staff
Good for various restaurants
Convenient motorway stop . Only services fir food but a few pubs a short walk away.
Shower / bath not full size and bath top would not switch over from the shower .
Friendky, helpful service: The reception team have been fabulous throughout, especially accommodating additional requests.
Na
Bedroom was clean and nice
No lift. Tired bathroom… toilet seat didn’t fit at all!
Es tranquilo
La habitaciones se podrían remodelar. La recepcionista Aga muy amable
Nothing was what we expected
Room was not as we expected and the room was not disabled friendly with double bed and not two singles as viewed on booking .com and confirmed from them
Hotel is very run down and felt tired and outdated. I would not stay again.
Location
The smelly carpets stink in the room there was spiders and all sort of flys In room the stinky carpets never was even hooved and the bathroom I wouldn’t bath a dog in it because it would catch rabies
Clean, safe
No air con
Rubbish location wouldn't clear room unless u asked them to
Friendly staff, when on duty.
No hot water in the basin, curtain rail fell off, light bulb needed replacing. Poorly maintained. Difficulty returning to hotel as it is on western carriageway.
L'accoglienza, la ragazza alla reception è stata super disponibile. Appena arrivati abbiamo riscontrato un problema con lo sciacquone del water e subito ci hanno sostituito la camera. Le camere erano spaziose e pulite.
Nulla da segnalare
Good location in Southampton for a cruise the next day. The staff were absolutely amazing, thoughtful and anticipating needs, really above and beyond.
It’s an older property and like a lot of buildings in our recent heatwave was absolutely boiling as it doesn’t have air con - can’t really be helped at the moment.
The room was clean and had all the usual facilities
The room was way too hot and the bed was way too small. Accessibility challenging, especially after charging the car and having to do it all again.
Convenient location, clean, nice staff
Aged, in need of modernisation (although very clean)
Location was great for Paulton theme park.
Noise though must expect that being next to the motorway. Also could do with fans when this hot weather is around.
Clean and comfortable
All good

They should get a right post code
Receptionist was really lovely and helpful, friendly and informative. Room make up 1 double 2x singles perfect for mum and 2 teens
Dirty room, mould in shower and crisps on the floor knew it wasn’t going to be special but clean would have been good
Everything was good, clean & friendly
Nothing we didn’t like
Staff was friendly.
The place was so run down. My room wasn't clean full of cobwebs and spiders. I had no running cold water in my bath. The hotel was roasting and there wasn't any fans available
Staff and location
No air con in 32 degrees heat Beds uncomfortable Rooms smelled Mattress dirty No cold water
Nothing
Good basic accommodation with late night check in at a fair price.
receptionist. tried hard to aolve problems
sink partially blocked. bathroom fan not working. Internet waste of time.toilet after flushing sounded like a bag of bolts. evidence of damp on wall.room could do with decorating.
Convenient location, clean, tidy, good facilities
Nothing
I liked that it was run by a beautiful family lovely owners i was happy to help keep the place tidy from time to time help give the lovely guest an even better experience next time
There was nothing negative ..
Amazing services with everyone so caring and generous , really made me feel welcome staff and guests
Nothing just a bird flew past me my friend amy saying i am alive im coming home soon
Easy on/off the parkway to take an uber anywhere we wanted to go (we could have walked too). Staff was very helpful and friendly
It wasn’t fancy but I didn’t pay for fancy anyways
Trop prêt de l'autoroute donc impossible de laisser la fenêtre ouverte malgré la chaleur La salle de bain était un peu vétuste I
Convenient for travelling on to Southampton docks
Window didn’t close properly so constant noise at night.
Good location
Outdated, no air con. Poor quality bedding
Location was perfect. 1st room, no TV 2nd room not made up 3rd room only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel! Reception gave us a free food voucher for £10, and were very professional and apologetic.
Very basic rooms for the price which was exorbitant.
A ground floor room where i could recover from a day case operation before travelling home to the Isle of Wight. Very comfortable night, thank you.
It was all good.
Bad hotel bloid on walls shower falling off wall shower dangerous partner has a bad fall no accident wouldn't again hotel to dangerous.
The surroundings
The family room we had has been dirty, the carpet was dirty, looked like it could’ve been cleaned very easily but it hasn’t been done, the mattress was all stained, the bathroom was in a very poor condition, dirty floor, mold in lots of places, the toilet and the sink were dirty too, the pillows and the duvet were the worse quality… the receptionist whom checked us in asked the next time when she saw us if we would like to check in… BARE IN MIND WE ARE SPEAKING ABOUT A £100 per Night stay. Definitely not recommended
The staff were fantastic helpfully and friendly the location was ideal for us going to the new forest Beaulieu museum
The place is what it is a place to stay not a holiday hotel but its a good enough place
Staff were lovely
Everything was brilliant will stay again
Friendly staff. Room comfortable.
A bit pricey in comparison to other similar rated hotels.
Clean and right next to different food spots
Was basic
Friendly staff, clean and tidy. The receptionist explained that you'd be best to move our car from the other side of the carriageway As you might get a parking ticket if you don't so that's what we did and still we got a parking ticket. I feel this should be sorted out for your other prospective customers at your days inn hotel, as the Parking was included within the our stay.
Not enough clarity regarding location of hotel if you're on the east bound carriageway roundham services as there's no signage to say it's on the other side of the carriageway. ( we were given a parking penalty but appealed as we had booked in your Hotel and had experience as explained above , Even though we left the east bound side less than 2hrs, which we found very upsetting and un just).
Nothing
Bad smell, not enough pillows, loud noise that keeps everyone away when flush toilet and lasted long, bath are old and urgry. Very dissatisfied
Ok if u just want a room to stay in
Nothing
