Our host Leon was especially accommodating throughout and we really appreciated his welcome tour of the facilities. Very clean, and town centre only within short walking distance.

The location was perfect-just a short walk to the town center, restaurants, and the lake, yet peaceful enough to relax after a full day of exploring. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They made me feel at home from check-in until check-out.

Quite pricey but it is Queenstown so expected. But very pricey at over $400/night.

It is listed as having parking but in reality there are four “awkward” parking spaces which you cannot reserve, they are first come basis and if you are lucky enough to get a spot you will be charged an extra fee for the privilege.The rooms are dated and the bed covers need replacing or at least dry cleaned.

Our used clothing/under garments (laundry) etc we placed in a plastic bag to bring back home to wash. Somehow staff room cleaners mistaken it for rubbish & through our plastic bag into rubbish bins outside. After finding our laundry bag, hotel management apologized & offered to wash our laundry at the hotel.

We opened the fridge to put our chocolates in and the stench from the fridge was the worst smell iv ever smelt in my life we couldn’t use it for the rest of the stay it was so bad and the shower leaked so bad. Would have been good to have some milk for coffee in the morning but I wouldn’t have wanted to open the fridge back up to get some out.

Reviewed Dec 9, 2025The location is fantastic, just a short walk down to the CBD and waterfront, or up to the Gondala and other attractions. More like a European pension than modern hotel, small number of rooms with lovely old fashioned dining room for breakfast and comfortable homestyle lounge room with fireplace leading to outdoor terrace. My room was on top level and it was great to be able to open the French doors onto small balcony, and enjoy the fresh air and views. Excellent views towards the lake, a sea of twinkling lights at night. Spacious room and comfy queen bed, big bathroom. A little 'dated' but I would prefer this to a soulless major hotel. I would return if back in Queenstown.
No lift so I needed the reception guy to help carry my suitcase up the stairs.

Reviewed Dec 6, 2025Great location - perfect distance from the town and the slight elevation have magnificent views. It was clean and well-kept and we loved the picturesque balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. The staff member we met was professional, helpful and kind. She was exceptional.
The main problem was the comfort of the bed. In the end we dragged the single mattress off the spare bed and slept on the floor.

Book a superior room to get a top floor room- the views are exceptional with mountain and lake views. Leon was very helpful at checkin and sorted out any queries we had with a smile.
