The hotel was a fun boutique type and it exceeded expectations. The staff were so friendly and helpful. These things really enhanced our few days there. It was situated a little further out from the centre than expected but that was no problem but might be if someone had a very limited capacity to walk. The lift was small but adequate and welcome in such an hotel. The breakfast choices offered was excellent value as was the food itself.
I would have preferred that the hotel supplied a fold up luggage stand as I dont like to think of guests putting their cases on the beds and there was little storage space so that would solve the problem.
Location and theme
Nothing
Well located, lovely helpful staff and a lot of thought has been given to the room design and features in communal areas. Really good value for money.
Nothing
Very quirky place with themed rooms, but still practical.
Nice to have a bar offering evening drinks, but the hot chocolate was uninspiring and overpriced.
This place is quirky. The breakfast was really good. Nice Session IPA on draft in the bar. It is not a modern hotel but it is very cool and didn’t cost a fortune. A stones throw from the beach. Excellent seafood restaurant at the end of the street.
The spa bath is amazing. Themed rooms are really fun and quirky
It was difficult to book the room i wanted as its always booked already whenever I look
We had the Modrophenia room which was quirky and fun, from the bedside tables to the mirror. Love the idea that every room is different, meaning you can’t help but want to book again and try a different theme.
The room was really warm and quite stuffy even with the window wide open and whilst a fan was provided, it was a bit too loud to sleep with so we both woke in the morning a bit blocked up.
I loved the vibe and decor of the property! The mattress was super comfortable, the room itself was beautiful with all the little decor touches making it such a wonderful and fun experience! I also enjoyed the shower, good facilities and a little table with tea and coffee by the window with a lovely view!!! The ladies running this place were also so helpful! Lovely, friendly, professional and go above and beyond to make your stay happy and comfortable.
Nothing
From the outside you would never imagine how amazing the inside is! Great location, lovely staff, unique design, rooms all themed, lots of little touches, loved it
I wish I’d stayed in the Japanese room, it’s incredible! Nothing negative to say really
Hotellrommet var gjennomført og fint. Hyggelig personale.
Location, staff very friendly
Unfortunately the view (not the hotel's fault) wasn't pleasant and the back of the building is inundated with pigeons (again not the hotel's fault) but very noisy
Different fun and quirky
Plumbing at the sink needs looking at - water to forever to go down.
Went for a 2 night stay with 10 year old granddaughter, and we had a ball! All the rooms are themed, we stayed in the soup room, amazing! We wished we’d booked directly, as you get a better rate than Booking.com and a complimentary breakfast. The whole interior is so unique, and a great location, staff all lovely, will be staying again
The location was easy to get to the room was stunning. They even put silk dressing gowns in there and they even give you a curly whirly. The were so nice and helpful too definitely be going again and woz not expensive ever
Very smutty not was expected
You should advertise that it’s a sex hotel
La chaleur de l'accueil , la décoration star wars , la situation près de la plage
Very cool place, nice staff, fun decor, all amenities in working condition. Lift quite tired, but charming. I hope to return.
The lift is a bit tired and some fixtures seemed to be slightly coming out of the walls, otherwise all was well.
Didn’t have the breakfast. Excellent location.
Hot room.Fan not too effective but it was very hot outside too.
Lovely experience , clean and tidy and nice owners
I love this hotel so much! It was hard to choose which of the many themed rooms, but I ended up in Modrophenia. I am a huge Who fan, so doing a pilgrimage to all the locations of the film adaptation of Quadrophenia was great, and there's a fun map right in the room, as well as a bisected scooter used as bedside tables; there's a turntable and a number of period-related vinyl, books and DVDs. The staff are super friendly and we're great with communication before I arrived. They let me leave my luggage there until my room is ready at check-in. The downstairs lobby serves as a bar, a meeting place as well as where they serve a pretty substantial breakfast. I booked through their website, and breakfast was free. Really delicious. Again, it is the staff that make your stay so memorable. So charming, funny and accommodating. Mel is a hoot! Regency Square is a great pivot point for touring. You can walk along the strand and the crazy i360 is not a block away. Just a heads up that there was no AC, at least in my room, but they did provide a pretty big fan.

Very friendly staff, location was good, pictures and posters are interesting. Bathroom and bed clean Breakfast was very good Had to wait for our room to be ready but gave us complimentary drinks
Lift and stairs were scary Shame it wasn’t polished and hoovered better in bedroom little thing would have made a big difference Needed a chair in bedroom No air con was extremely hot, fan was big though Bed uncomfortable very soft
Another wonderful stay in the Pelirocco. Stayed in the Salon Rouge room - a wonderful homage to the Moulin Rouge and turn of the century Paris. Only downside was there was no wardrobe or storage in the room. But what a room! Sea views, bath in the room - absolutely lovely. Breakfasts were delicious (vegetarian and vegan available) and huge; No need for lunch! Cocktails in the evening were very enjoyable. There's a reason this is ranked as the top hotel in Brighton. Oh, and it's in a great location. Finally, I must say a big thank you to the staff who all go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best. We will, of course be back again.
What a delightful rooms-individually - themed little hotel right near the beach. Celebration of my 60th birthday in the Japanese themed room which has a balcony overlooking the sea. Oh how special that was. The service was incredible, the room outstanding and the vibe perfect! (including the most interesting information brochures related to other, more "out there" experiences available from other shops 😅😉) The hotel staff were fabulous and really pulled out all the stops to celebrate me! We will be back (& try another room... Maybe a pole dancing one next time 😉😀)
Staff so friendly- nothing too much for them to do for us - amazing hot cooked breakfast’
Nothing
Great property and fun rooms. Staff rest. Location great. Breakfast great
Fun, clean and a great location
Loved the decor - every room has a theme - the bar the staff the breakfast …
Nothing
I really liked the unique rock and roll theme in all areas of the hotel . Obviously a lot of thought went in to the decor and acquiring all the relevant props . The Rituals brand of liquids was very refreshing . The two girls running the show were particularly helpful and certainly some of the most chirpy morning people I've met in a hotel n a while The breakfast was perfect and in my case included in the price Room was clean and smart use of space made The bar appeared very funky although I didn't get a chance to have a drink, just breakfast only Facecloths would be a nice touch for the sink I liked the chocolate biscuit for the coffee tray set up All the props and memorabilia in the Ska, Caribbean , retro Jamaican music theme room were quite unique and relevant to the time frame The fan was a nice and needed touch his summer too
My daughter and I had a fantastic stay in the Tropical Room. Clean, bright, cool and surprisingly spacious. The bed and futon were super comfortable, and the hammock was a great touch. We loved being able to play records too. It made the whole experience feel special. Every member of the Pelirocco team, from booking to check-out, was warm, friendly and welcoming. A fun place with a great vibe. Highly recommend for something a bit different.
Close proximity to beach. Staff were great Great vibes from the normal change hotels...it was something different. Quirkiness.
I wished I had of had the breakfast
Fabulous hotel - iconic rooms, super helpful and friendly staff. This hotel rally exceeded our expectations from the room to breakfast and the bar. Can't wait to check out a different themed room next time we visit!
Nothing - it was great!
Mega nettes Personal, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich gute Lage und das Motto des Zimmers

Cool hotel stay, very quirky and cool.
Supercharmigt o fantastisk personal.
Stayed in Botanica on the eve of Nick Cave’s home coming gig. Parked in the underground car park on the square. Ate a seafood lunch on the square before check in. The hotel was as amazing as we hoped. Great detail, our suite was perfect for a romantic stay. Welcomed by Alice who has so friendly. Delicious breakfast setting us up for a day enjoying Pride. We will be back to try another theme. Thank you guys.
This was our first experience of staying at Pelirocco - we stayed in the Peaky Blinders room which was perfect for our 1 night stay. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay there again and will try one of the other rooms as they all look so interesting and quirky. Perfect for a weekend break in Brighton. Thank you to all the staff.
It was a bit overpriced, if I’m honest, and a little tatty. That said, it was a pretty cool concept. I actually booked it by mistake because I didn’t do enough research, and in the end it just wasn’t really my kind of thing. Stayed in better for less.
Fantastic fun hotel, super staff, crazy themed rooms & includeds breakfast if you book direct! Brighton at its best.
Have been coming to this boutique hotel for years, amazing rooms but more importantly the staff are consistently brilliant. Book directly, breakfast is top quality and the bar is well priced and great options. Cannot recommend enough, join their loyalty scheme and get free nights. Try all the different rooms and get involved in their weekly bar sessions when they run them.
Our room was great. We were in the Tropical Paradise room and it was really fun to have the hammock. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and they were able to accommodate my dietary requirements. There are tea and coffee making facilities but there isn't a fridge in the room, which would have come in handy. It was quite warm when we visited and the Dyson fan in the room was greatly appreciated! The location was good, and though it was a little noisy at times it was quiet overnight. We hope to come back soon!
We loved this quirky hotel, the decor was fab, staff friendly and helpful, great location and good price. We especially enjoyed the Drag Queen Karaoke Bingo on the Thursday night, great fun.
What an amazing place. From the initial welcome, stunning Botanica Suite, the amazing bathroom and the beautifully presented breakfast it was everything we had hoped for and more. It was amazing luxury. We ordered a bottle of prosecco which was on ice when we got there. The photos on the website cannot do it justice, every part of the hotel was stunning. It was very close to the see front and all amenities. Our suite was beautifully clean and tidy with its own private courtyard garden. It was wonderfully quite with only a little street noise. It was on the pricier side from other places we have stayed but there is no comparison to be made. For what we wanted from the room it was great value for money. We would definitely go again.
Location
To hot, fan was blowing hot air
A quirky hotel close to Brighton’s seafront
Nothing
I had a meeting in Brighton and booked last minute and selected based upon cost and trip advisor ratings. I paid £110 for the night and had my themed room was Taboo. Staff were friendly, decor in common areas is just an explosion of quirky and as a solo traveller I had a few drinks in the bar and before meeting up with a client and staff were friendly and so much to look at and enjoy.. (if you’re into music and movie or maybe love art there is just lots to see. At this point I am 5 star all the way… Taboo room is on 4th floor and accessed via stairs or lift. I hate lofts and this hotel has a loft that fits 1 person and is like a stains up coffin so I used the stairs. Stairs - not the hotels fault but this is a really old building so stairs are windy, uneven and you go up a flight, through a corridor, up a flight, turn left up a flight and then you reach the door taking you to the top (4th floor) The door is half the size of a normal door as were the stairs… now not a bad thing as all the way there is stuff to do and see and as an able bodied man I loved looking at all the artwork and “quirk” so more of a warning to others. Taboo room - (again I booked for work on the day and didn’t pay attention). My room had a mirror above the bed, restraints on the sides and a cross (a sex cross) on the wall complete with restraints and paddles. None of this bothered me as it’s part of the hotels alternative charm just wasted on a solo traveller 😂. What wasn’t great was the fact the whole room had an odour, it was tired, no air con (bloody hot) and the bathroom had a toilet on a raised platform so I had to duck to pee, shower was electric and wasn’t great and hot / cold taps worked in reverse. All was clean and windows opened and view was amazing and when I returned at 11pm the room was cool with the sea breeze and bed was super comfy and I slept like a log till seagulls decided to wake me around 6:45 (in fairness I needed to get up) This is a quirky independent hotel and staff are brilliant, I think it’s a must try (maybe not my room) and I wish them all success and despite my mixed bag review I hope to return one day and try another room (unless anyone reading this fancies joining me on the cross 😂)
Very comfortable and lovely breakfast
Excellent stay at Hotel Pelirocco, very cool quirky hotel, we stayed in the David Bowie themed room, which was a delight for my wife, awesome friendly staff and great location.
Really quite a special place with exceptionally friendly team.
The room was fantastic
Quirky atmosphere with lovely staff and really unique decor! The whole place had fantastic vibes and a great experience overall!
I stayed in the Muhammed Ali room and had him staring at me all night! Teeny shower, bit dated decor and the bed was rather rickety too
Everything. The decor the style the vibe the staff. It felt like home from home.
Nada
Quirky and unusual.
Nothing I didn’t like.
Pelirocco gives the full Brighton experience. The location is right where you want it - just over the road from the beach (swimming before breakfast), near fabulous restaurants and a short walk to the Lanes. The balcony overlooking the square was perfect for drinking coffee and people watching.
The room was a little tired.
Deko, Mottozimmer, Ausstattung, Strandlage, Personal, Frühstück
Heißes Zimmer, aber es gab einen Ventilator
Was a lovely room, bed was comfy, staff were lovely, very cool hotel
The bathroom was a tad small but adequate, not a great view from window.
Friendly and great fun - really distinctive and quirky. My daughter and I loved it! We stayed in the David Bowie room.
location was great for access to the Lanes and seafront. Quirky hotel with a Brighton vibe
no airconditioning , no lift and difficult to get to room which was on the 3rd floor and not stated in discription. needs a lot of work refurbing some parts
Very cool place. An institution.
A lot of narrow stairs for the rooms on the fourth floor
-absolut einzigartig und originell -freundliches Personal -tolles Frühstück - hervorragende Lage
-Dachgeschoss Zimmer.... Lift funktioniert nicht -es wurde vergessen zu lüften und so war es bei der Ankunft und die Stunden danach extrem heiß im Zimmer -superschmales Doppelbett
Quirky hotel. Friendly staff and great location.
Slightly tired rooms, and very very hot.
I stayed in the Bowie room which was absolutely amazing and the attention to detail awesome. The room was super clean with lovely little touches and for a busy night in the centre of Brighton, lovely and quiet
Breakfast was great. Room was nice and spacious, plus we love Dolly! Also, best toilet in England!
We are weak Americans when it comes to air conditioning, but we survived.
Really quirky lovely hotel in an excellent seafront / close to the shops location. Loads of interesting art, cool vibe and lovely manager and his team. We will be back! This is one of those hotels you want to visit to stay in every themed room!
Fan in the room. Tea/coffee making facilities. Hairdryer. Location. Great cocktails. Funky and contemporary style . Friendly staff
No room service . No iron in room.
The staff were very kind and offered me another room and let me see some rooms before I booked
It was all good
Had an amazing time in Hotel Peliroco, last weekend. Stayed in the Mod room - which was brilliantly decorated. The staff are so attentive and helpful, breakfast was excellent and the location is so central. We will definitely return- highly recommended!
We came to stay at Pelirocco as we had our debut Brighton show and being able to have such a beautiful room filled with such light and character was a blessing. We stayed in the Pin up room and it was such a delightful slice of glamour. The bed was so comfy and the room was spotless and HUGE! Every staff member was so welcoming and nice. We will absolutely be back! The breakfast was delicious! I think we just found our new Brighton home from home!
Staff friendly and welcoming. Loved the ‘Tropical’ themed room and the art work around the hotel. We even had a partial sea view. Good location, central to everything. Didn’t get to try the breakfast or cocktails but it looked like a good selection was on offer.
Room was very warm, but we stayed during a usually hot heatwave and both a Dyson fan and metal fan was provided in the room to help you cool down. Otherwise nothing to dislike.
Staff were very friendly. A quirky fun hotel in a great location.
There was a problem with a water leak into my room but the staff did their best to make good.
De themakamers
lovely staff, great breakfast; quirky place, v comfy bed
There were two bits of rubbish under the bed- it didn't matter. I went on a very hot day and the room gets stuffy but I had the fan on!
Fabulously quirky!! The staff were all so helpful and friendly.
There’s nothing to dislike !!!
Unique experience. Comunal area lounge bar etc was full of art and such a brilliant vibe exactly what we had hoped for. Staff were lovely.
Nothing
Perfect location, just off the seafront. Excellent value and amazing decor - it's a perfect spot for couples, or if you're sick of boring stays!
It was all great
Wow! I’d seen pictures online but these do not do the hotel or room justice! Quirky and fun hotel, polite and friendly staff, amazing room and very enjoyable breakfast. Close to the beach and Brighton i360 I will definitely stay here again
The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the room was clean and well kept. The Eggs Benedict/Royale for breakfast was very good. The location was perfect for where I needed to be, and the lift worked well. They were even kind enough to keep my bag safe between checking out and the last session of PCS conference, because I couldn't take it into the Brighton Centre.
The room had too small of a bathroom for the shower, so it was difficult to get in and out of it. I would have liked a safe to put my valuable items into. The cooked breakfast was ok, but needed more salt and the breakfast buffet could do with a bigger selection of cereals
The bespoke nature of the interior design, it's cosy, and it feels like you're staying at someone's house. I also learned about an artist from the 80s I didn't know about previously.
Goggle maps has a convoluted way of getting you there when walking from train station, when actually there is a much simpler route
Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was really good. Bar / lounge decor loads of fun
Shower a bit cramped, but ok for the money
What a great hotel. Fabulous location. The staff really are so welcoming and nothing was any trouble. The bed was super comfortable and room spacious and a fridge in the room meant I could enjoy a chilled vino. Would certainly recommend and stay again if I got opportunity.
Great location, right by the town and the beach. Fun interiors.
The lift is quite scary but saves you carrying bags up all of those stairs!
Fantastic hotel. Great rooms, great location. Great staff
Great location quirky hotel fun great staff
Room is small, but had a cheaper room so no issue
Great location. Fun ambience and design. Incredible, large room (Tropical), great food and very quiet. Friendly staff.
Nothing. All great.
Die Zimmer sind individuell gestaltet, ich hatte das Reggae-Zimmer Auch die anderen Räume sind speziell eingerichtet nettes Personal - für das Frühstück hatte ich leider keine Zeit
Stay here loads, great place. The dolly room was fab.
A great stay at this quirky, rock and roll inspired hotel, good value too. The location is ideal for both beach and town, and with just 19, very individually designed and named rooms, it’s a personal and characterful experience. I opted for ‘Tropical Paradise’, a spacious, cheery, 3rd floor room with plenty of windows (seaview), 4 poster bed, and rain shower. Not to mention, hammock and record player! Some rooms have been styled in collaboration with sponsors, in the case of Tropical Paradise, Trojan records. Communal areas are funkily decorated - leopard print carpets, various rock and roll paraphernalia, pop art, etc. Accommodation is spread across 4 floors of 2 Regency townhouses, the staircases are steep and tight (thankfully there’s a lift). Check-out is a very agreeable midday, and the hotel offers breakfast, with a good range of gluten free and vegan options. The bar has a fantastic, varied list of cocktails and opens till 12pm midweek (2am at weekends). In line with the hotels’ decadent ethos, guests can order from a menu of saucy ‘Love Hampers!!’ All good fun. Will return and try out different rooms.
Fabulous room, attention to detail was fantastic. Wonderful breakfast, piping hot cooked to order lovely fresh food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. Will be back!
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton, staying in the Betty Page room. The room was fantastic—spotlessly clean, tidy, and full of character. The attention to detail made our stay feel really special. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, always happy to help and making us feel right at home. The breakfast was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, setting us up perfectly for the day. We would highly recommend Hotel Pelirocco to anyone visiting Brighton and will definitely be returning in the future. 5 ⭐️ all the way, this is the place to stay. Thank you so much for having us and we can’t wait to return.
We hired the hotel bar for a Birthday party and a few of us stayed in their rooms, the location was great. Everyone was super lovely and the party was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are fun and centric, breakfast was great. We’ll be back for another celebration, if they’ll have us!
We were extremely uncomfortable staying here as a family. The hotel should make it much clearer that some of the rooms and the overall atmosphere are heavily adult-themed. There were inappropriate signs and sexual references throughout the hotel, including messages encouraging guests to send their “best bed pose” photos, which we found completely unsuitable while travelling with our daughter. The experience made us feel so uneasy that we ended up changing hotels in the middle of the night, which was stressful and upsetting for all of us. This hotel may suit adults looking for a quirky or erotic-themed experience, but we absolutely would not recommend it for families. Also, during warm weather, avoid the attic/top-floor rooms if possible. We booked through Booking.com and the room became extremely hot, making the stay even more uncomfortable.
Such a fabulous place! Stayed here recently with my sister and nephew and I genuinely could not fault a single thing. We had the Dolly Would room which was an absolute riot - so fun and kitsch but really comfortable and well equipped too. The decor throughout is so fun and stylist but what really makes the place are the absolute queens who run it. Friendly, welcoming and so efficient! They also served up one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The location is perfect and the price was an absolute bargain for the amenities and level of service we received. Keep up the great work, ladies. Your hotel rocks!
Interior
Very friendly and helpful staff
Great hotel, room was amazing! Staff and service was fantastic, lovely to have breakfast in our room 🥰
3rd year I have stayed at Hotel Pelirocco for work. Yet again, outstanding time spent with the staff who are always accommodating, friendly and helpful. Rooms are tidy and the hotel always brightens the day with the unique décor. Already booked in for next year.
A bit of a find! Not the cheapest accommodation, and the communal areas are a bit pokey, but the staff are friendly and the room was hilarious - and huge!
Really friendly with great rooms

Everything perfect
The staff were so friendly
We stayed a couple of nights in Botanica for a weekend without the kids. There was a warm welcome, the suite felt special, breakfast in the room was indulgent and a short walk took us to all the sights. Definitely planning to stay again.
