Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We simply adored our stay here!! Dave was so incredibily kind and welcoming, helping us booking activities in Kruger Park and waiting for us when we arrived late at the lodge. When we came back late after a bushwalk, he and his wife prepared us a delicious breackfast. Last but not least, when they found out we were on our honeymoon, they let us chocolate in the room as a sweet welcome gift. We really could not wish for anything more, so grateful to have you meet at Phalaborwa!

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Heel mooie verzorgde accomodatie dicht bij het Kruger National Park ! Uitmuntend onthaal, vriendelijk, snel, vlot, aangenaam. Grote mooie tuin en aangename slaapkamers. Het ontbijt was heel goed, georganiseerd en snel. Goede wifi op elke plaats. Kortom een adres om te bewaren en terug te keren bij een volgende gelegenheid.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Obiekt jest wspaniały! Dużo zieleni dookoła, pokój wystarczająco duży, duża łazienka z prysznicem i ciepłą wodą. Lodówka w pokoju (czekało nawet mleko w środku), czajnik. Przed pokojem taras, na którym można odpocząć. Do tego właściciel jest super miły, pomocny, uśmiechnięty :) śniadanie było bardzo smaczne.
Brak suszarki do włosów w pokoju ;)

Reviewed May 11, 2026Dave is een zeer gastvrije gastheer en altijd in een goed humeur. We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen. Ook heeft hij ons adviezen gegeven met betrekking tot restaurants.
Er viel ons niets tegen. Zeker een aanrader voor wat betreft het verblijf. Het Kruger park vonden wij in deze regio iets minder mooi maar daar kan Dave niets aan doen.

The is nothing to like is I didn’t sleep at property as it didn’t have electricity , he expected me to stay in a dark and unsafe place as he didn’t want to refund me and said I can go to look for another place than later he send me text saying electricity is back while he told me to go and book same where and refused to refund me.

Il nous a prévenu que notre logement le lendemain dans le Kruger n'était pas disponible (le camp letaba ayant fermé à cause d'inondation) et a pris les choses en main pour nous trouver une solution en contactant le Kruger directement. Il nous a aussi réservé une table dans un super restaurant. Le logement était de plus qualitatif, nous avons bien dormi et passé un super séjour

A pesar de tener cargos por cancelación, no recibí ninguno. Desafortunadamente no pude hospedarme en el Hotel, porque las carreteras estaban cortadas y el parque Kruger se había cerrado. La amabilidad de los gestores fue impecable. Seguro que vuelvo a Kruger y seguro que me quedaré en este Hotel. Muchísimas gracias

The accommodation is really close to the Kruger Gate, well maintained and comfy! The breakfast was generous and we enjoyed our short stay! Thanks xx

Reviewed Dec 22, 2025The breakfast was amazing,we looked forward to the breakfast every morning.I don’t drink coffee,my husband had coffee and he still says it’s the best.Mr Dave is super friendly and helpful & so is everyone who works there.There’s a lady who helped to hold my baby while I finished dressing up for a wedding and I appreciated that so much..though I felt it was an inconvenience on her side.They also organised a mattress for my two children to sleep on coz the family rooms were fully booked.The place is breathtaking..I wish we had stayed for more days.It’s also convenient because of where it’s situated.The room was clean with good ventilation and also child friendly.When you request for anything,there’s a quick response.We loved the place and we’ll definitely be booking again the next time we go to Phalaborwa.

Reviewed Dec 16, 2025It was lovely to meet Dave and we really appreciated his warm hospitality. The lodge itself was fantastic, set in a large garden with loads of birdlife amid peaceful surroundings. Our room was spacious, especially the bathroom - and once the water issues were sorted, the shower was excellent with great water pressure. The rooms also have their own outdoor space, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. A really nice touch was Dave bringing over a couple of wine glasses after spotting a bottle on our table. Breakfast was served in the dining area with plenty of choice, and the omelettes were especially good! The lodge is also only about five minutes from Phalaborwa Gate, which made getting into the park super easy.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025This was our second stay, and we still think this is a super nice place! Really close to Kruger National Park, shops and restaurants! The patio, garden and pool were lovely! We did not have breakfast, but appreciated the offer to change our minds if we needed to.
Can't think of anything, it's a lovely place, whether you stay one night or more.
