Nous avons adoré le lieu, paisible et intimiste. L hôtel dispose d une vue incroyable sur la rivière et le parc avec la possibilité de voir des éléphants. Le personnel est à l écoute, discret et très agréable. Nous avons passé un séjour incroyable que nous nom oublieront jamais.

I loved how friendly the staff were. We appreciated all of the effort that went into our stay such as a receiving a bottle of wine to congratulate us on our engagement, getting hot water bottles on our early morning drives, a little treat on our pillow each night - every detail went a long way. The food was a big highlight too - each meal was 10/10. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Buhala!

On a l'impression de camper dans le Bush car l'hôtel est directement connecté au Kruger Parc et les animaux viennent jusque devant les rambardes de l'hôtel. Les couchers de soleils sur la "Crocodile River" sont splendides. Les dîners sont EXCEPTIONNELS, la cuisinière nous a préparer les meilleurs plats que nous avons goûté pendant les 17 jours de notre voyage en Afrique du Sud

Le transfert aller/retour pour le Golf (Leopard Creek) est excessif : 100 euros pour un golf situé à 15 minutes de l'hôtel et peu d'activités en dehors de l'hôtel.

La gentillesse de l’ensemble de l’équipe , la vue sur la rivière avec de magnifiques couchers de soleil et enfin une chef en cuisine incroyable . Tout est fait maison et des découvertes différentes tous les soirs

El lodge es maravilloso, perfectamente mantenido y en una ubicación privilegiada. La vista de elefantes, hipopótamos y otros animales mientras te tomas un café es indescriptible. He estado en muchos lodge a lo largo de mi vida y es de los mejores. La comida perfecta y la atención del personal y en especial de Elsa y Bianca de 10. La habitación amplia, bien amueblada y con unas vistas increíbles. Aspectos a mejorar: No lo pongo en que no me gustó porque sería injusta. En los safaris echamos de menos el parar en medio de la sabana (no en un merendero como fue el caso) para tomar un café por la mañana y una cerveza por la tarde. Ha sido en los únicos safaris que no lo hemos hecho y pierde parte del encanto que estos tienen. También eché en falta llegar después del safari de la mañana al lodge y poder tomar un buen desayuno, como en otros safaris realizados. Uno de los guías que nos llevó, un día por la tarde y el último por la mañana lo vimos inexperto, el del domingo fue de 10.

Fehlendes WLAN auf dem Zimmer. Obwohl wir schon sechs Mal hier gewohnt haben, teilte man uns ein riesiges Vierbett-Zimmet ohne Balkon und ohne Blick zum Crocodile River /Krüger Park zu. Dafür war der Preis unangemessen hoch.

Nous adorons tout simplement Buhala Lodge, c’est un endroit magique. C’était déjà notre troisième séjour et nous restons toujours émerveillés. L’accueil est personnalisé, authentique et chaleureux. Le lodge, avec son style colonial, est digne de la grandeur passée de l’empire britannique et donne vraiment l’impression de vivre une scène du film Out of Africa. La vue est fascinante : on peut passer des heures avec ses jumelles à observer les animaux le long de la rivière Crocodile, que ce soit depuis son balcon ou en prenant ses repas sur la terrasse. Les nouvelles suites avec terrasse et piscine privée sont immenses, très confortables et parfaitement équipées. Les repas et menus proposés sont d’un excellent rapport qualité-prix, et la sélection de vins est vraiment soignée. Les rangers du lodge, passionnés et très qualifiés, offrent des safaris inoubliables. Grand Merci à Conor le chef ranger du lodge.

Seul petit bémol : les cocktails et alcools servis au bar pourraient être améliorés pour rendre l’expérience absolument parfaite.

View of Crocodile River was great. Loved hanging out at the Veranda. Saw Hippos, Elephant, Crocs, Waterbucks, Bush buck, guinea fowl, and a buffalo on Buhalla’s shore. With bnocukars also saw impala, warthogs, giraffe on the across the river

First time ever safari stay and it was like a dream. In many ways a 5 star experience if you measure that I’m a bucket list kind of way. Do not visit thinking it’s a typical 5 star hotel, it’s not - but on the experience of elephants feeding right in front of your balcony and seeing rhinos, hippos across the crocodile river - is better than five stars. The restaurant is amazing - could be Michelin !! And the safari guide was incredible !! The massages were amazing too. Do not miss this special experience. We are so thankful.

The green fee at Leopard creek for visitors is too high compared to Links and other great courses, where they make it more of ‘an overall experience ‘ for you. They should consider lowering the price or providing a more special tee time ! Fantastic golf course though.

It’s located on a beautiful place at the Crocodile River. You see the most amazing animals looking from the terrace. They have the most awesome people working there. So friendly, funny and caring. The food and the wine are from high quality and especially the place where you eat is really amazing. We took a safari tour with Connor, he can tell you everything about the animals, the trees, the birds. We had an amazing safari. Thank you Ally, Connor, Bianca and all the other amazing people ❤️.

You can not take away the view of the place. The elephant suite had amazing facilities like a private pool and a view to die for. With a television and dstv as well as tuen down service with a little sweet surprise every night. Nice touch. The suite was cleaned every day. The safari was amazing. But a little too short for the guide that was well knowledged to explain to foreign tourists the smaller details of the the Kruger. Also, there was not a break to maybe use the toilet facilities for a 4 to 4 and half hour safari. The food is good.

Ok. For the price (and it is a a lot) that you pay, you will expect that maybe there will be room service, especially in the elephant suite. Maybe breakfast should be served until 11 am and dinner past 8 pm. When you go on holiday, you DO NOT want to rush. You would also maybe like to have breakfast on tour private deck. We did not know there was a lunch service until a day before we left. The communication is not great. Waiters that do not know about the breakfast, lunch, and dinner services of the next day. (I don't think it is their fault, maybe a bit of training, especially over Christmas. Don't expect drinks served in your suite or any other snacks. When asked about a promised snacks for Chrismas day after the lla s chnaged three times, yes Chrismas day, the managing lady Elsa got a bit abrupt and did not speak to us for the rest of the time we were there. Did not even greet. To be honest, I will think twice about going back because of that. The rest of the staff and a lady called Ali did their best to try and accommodate after the Christmas day lunch disaster. You have to ask for the pool to be cleaned, and we were promised ice twice a day. I have stayed in a lot of 5 star places and even lesser star where the friendliness make yih want to come back.

Our stay at Buhala lodge was beyond our expectations, from the place, the small personal touches in every corner, the staff, everything was perfect. We were there for a few days of our honey moon and they even choose a room with views to the river from every corner of the room. If we were to visit SA again this will definitely be one of our stops. Thank you all the staff for your kind attention to each detail or request from us. Alba & Joan

Everything was amazing! The view, the staff, the food was the best we had so far in the country and the safari was great.

Maybe only the fact we were not told at check in the price of the dinners and felt it was a choice to make without being warned of the value (even though we would have take it anyway, and it was amazing food!)

Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and boasted stunning views of the surrounding wildlife.

I’ll start by saying that this is the best place to stay in Kruger. Although I was initially skeptical about the 5-star rating, I was quickly proven wrong upon our arrival. Location The lodge is situated in the southern part of Kruger, an area particularly rich in wildlife, and overlooks a vast river. From here, you can observe impalas, crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. The view is simply breathtaking! Accommodation We spent two nights in a beautiful room on the first floor, with a magnificent view of the river. It was truly a dream come true. The room was spacious and equipped with every imaginable comfort, including a shower, bathtub, and two sinks, all with a river view. An unforgettable experience. Services and Dining The service provided by the staff was impeccable; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea in the common area was much appreciated, and the delicious dinners outdoors with a river view deserve special mention. Safari Experience The highlight of our vacation was the full-day safari, accompanied by an exceptional guide who was a biology graduate and deeply passionate about wildlife. Her expertise allowed us to deepen our understanding of every animal we encountered, offering us the chance to calmly observe every detail of life in the park, without rushing (unlike other safaris where you simply take a photo and move on). Overall, staying at Buhala was the most extraordinary experience of our entire vacation. I highly recommend it, as it is a much more intimate lodge compared to others we visited. Later on, we stayed in other lodges, but none were comparable to this one, neither in terms of quality nor price (we paid more for places of lower quality).

Buhala Lodge is a very good place to visit the Kruger Park. The view on the river is spectacular. And the staff is really great and supportive. Last but not least also the food was really good! We really enjoyed our stay! Next time we will stay longer!

Everything about Buhala was amazing from start to finish! Me and my wife enjoyed our honeymoon in the elephant suite which was such a pleasure. All staff were top tier with excellent service. We hope to someday return to Buhala lodge in the near future.

We would have liked to do a short game drive as we did not want to go out at 5.00am and return at 1.00pm

We enjoyed the location. It was amazing to relax on the veranda and watch the animals on the other side of the river. We saw Elephant, Hippos, Buffalo, Crocodiles and lots of other smaller animals. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. The staff was amazing and dinner was served outside with a view on the river. We just love this place and will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic staff and great owners. The food was awesome. The place needs updating and maintenance as well as a thorough cleaning. I later stayed at the Kruger Gate Hotel which had more amenities, free meals, cleaner and much cheaper.

On the banks of the Crocodile River - it felt like you were IN the Kruger Park. Super comfortable thatch lodge that feels warm and inviting. I could have spent a month there.

Nothing to complain about really - it was a fantastic stay. The road out of Buhala and back onto the N4 can be a little dangerous as you're essentially either joining, or exiting off a main road onto the dirt road. Just be careful - that's all.

Tolle Lodge gegenüber des Krüger Nationalparks. Blick auf eben jenen mit Blick auf Elefanten, Büffel (vor dem Fenster), Impalas und jede Menge Nilpferden (Ohropax mitnehmen für die Nacht!) Die Zimmer sind traditionell aber modern eingerichtet. Das Personal super klasse, immer freundlich. Das Essen war ebenso super. Die Safaris auch. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We spent 2 nights at Bhula primary to enable us to play golf at Leopards Creek, however we took advantage of a couple of game drives our guide Pat was truly amazing and Sean so helpful thanks guys for fab memories. The lodge whilst physically in the Kruger is on the edge and you have to drive to Malelane Gate approx 15mins. The staff are wonderful and so helpful if there was one fault it would be the quality and choice of the evening meal I sent my salmon back because it was raw the same piece came back recooked this should never happen under any circumstances

Best experience ever!!! Love the place, accommodations, service and Erika! I will always recommend this hotel! Love the food and where is located. 10/10. We also saw elephants, impalas and monkeys from the hotel. Amazing sunset and sunrise.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as if we were family. Marjie and Erica were fabulous and the entire staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well fed. From our room we watched crocodiles and hippos enjoying the river, an elephant visited the riverbank, kudus and bushbuck were everywhere. We enjoyed wonderful massages in a tent overlooking the Crocodile River and Sean, the guide took us on a wonderful tour of the panorama route. This is a lovely spot with wonderful staff.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Buhala Lodge. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and served in the dinning room which opens into the garden and to the crocodile river. Beautiful location near the Malelane gate. The lodge offers golf in the surrounding courses and safari drives in the KNP. We were extremely happy with our stay

Loved the afternoon tea and scones while watching elephants and giraffes come down to river to drink. You can sit in room balcony using wifi to broadcast photos to your friends at home or if feeling social you can join others on back deck as sun goes down. Dinner has great options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Room peaceful and bubble bath a relaxing way to get dust of Kruger safari off. (Staff helpful in setting up safari rides in park if you don't want to self-drive.) You drive through a commercial papaya grove to get to the property adding an air of adventure. Mistakenly parked under mulberry-like tree. Staff kindly washed car before we left demonstrating the high level of service. Highly recommend for relaxing getaway.

Het is wel een heel duur verblijf, wellicht een tikkel overpriced, maar alles is wel super en dik op orde. Vriendelijke mensen, ruime comfortabele kamer, heerlijk bed, kwartiertje van de gate van het Kruger Park en het diner en ontbijt waren zeer goed verzorgd. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras over de Crocodile River en het park waren subliem.

Had a fantastic two night stay with some co workers during a trip to South Africa for a conference. This place was a real gem, great place situated directly on the crocodile river which borders Kruger National Park. It is located just minutes from the gate. The rooms were wonderful and the food was five star. We had breakfast and dinners each day which were served el fresco on a beautiful patio overlooking the river. This place is perfect for couples, small groups and I would definitely return with my family.
