The best part is having a personal masjid on S2. It’s easier for women and the chances of missing prayers is very slim.

The curtains in the bedroom was letting the sunlight in the room. Wasn’t very comfortable when you want to sleep after Fajr prayers. Had to get a blind fold 👍🏼.

The loundry facilitate is poor

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing, especially considering the level of hospitality we expected. My mother became unwell for one night with some stomach issues and was unable to leave her room. Our reservation included both breakfast and dinner, so I simply asked the Fairmont Gold reception if her meal could be sent to the room. To our surprise, they refused. We were told that she would first need to visit the clinic and be seen by a doctor-which would involve an additional charge-just to have the meal that was already included in our booking delivered to her room. She did not need medical attention; she simply wasn’t feeling well enough to leave the room. We were a family of five, and all of us were extremely disappointed by the way this situation was handled. We paid a significant amount for our stay, including a Gold King Suite and a Gold Signature Room, expecting a high level of service and hospitality. Yet, even a simple request for Arabian coffee to be sent to our room was refused! For a hotel of this level-and particularly one offering Fairmont Gold service-we expected much more flexibility, understanding, and genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, we left feeling very dissatisfied with the way we were treated. Thank you for the hospitality, Saudi Arabia.

Luxurious hotel with huge room and amazing hotel staff. We were served by Mr Ibraheem during check in, it was so smooth and fast. After travelling from Medina by car for a few hours, we wanted to freshen up quickly before performing our Umrah. We were so lucky that he had gotten the room ready upon our arrival. Room was very huge and super clean, we had an amazing stay during our time in Mecca. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to the hotel for our next visit. Varieties of food were available for breakfast to choose from. Hotel had a pleasant smell.

The house keeping services in total is poor and late in every aspect, i should call 3 four times for the same thing to be done even the cleaning in every day , laundry and complementary coffee i waited them for hours , even i made checkout and there a dress i left it at the laundry due to latency and this was not expected due to my stay in the gold part

I stayed at Fairmont Makkah room number 1704 for 4 nights, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I would especially like to appreciate Fawaz from the Guest Service Team. I met Fawaz in the M2 and L1 lobbies, where he assisted us with our luggage and helped us with everything we needed. Fawaz was amazing, always smiling, friendly, and approachable. He gave us the correct information about the hotel facilities and also provided helpful information about the city. His professionalism and positive attitude made our stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. The Welcomer Team was also very helpful and welcoming, and the restaurant staff provided excellent service. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Fairmont Makkah. A special thank you to Fawaz and the entire Guest Service Team for making our stay memorable. I will definitely recommend Fairmont Makkah to my family and friends.

The reception told me my reservation was canceled to get red of me but i payed through booking.com so they couldn’t refuse giving me the room. The guy was so mean and didn’t want help me at all.

The soft drinks were for extra charge in the dinner meal while they were for free before.

Very obvious! The location. Its a 10/10. The reception desk gentleman Mr. Saad. Very warm welcome after a midnight flight. The Kaába view from the window. Elevators are wisely divided for floors and not busy. Connected to the mall. Prayer room inside the hotel. Amazing breakfast on 29th floor and Ground too.

Furniture probably in the rooms should improve a little.

قريب من الحرم ودخول من باب الملك عبدالعزيز حتي اللي عنده شخص موقعد مايحتاج مساعده من احد علي طول من باب الفندق وعلي الحرم علي طول واذ زحمه في ساحة الحرم امامك

الدخول إلى الفندق صعبه نوعا ما بسيارة الأجرة ساعتين فى سيارة الاجرة علشان الباب الرئيسي للفندق من مطار جدة ساعه وفى مكة ساعتين وصلت الفندق الساعه 11 ليلآ

The interior is old and facilities are average. Much below average compared to the too high price being charged. Especially the breakfast had no good main dishes. Too many buget items.

I called the in room dining and the lady answered the call - i think her name was Israa- was really rude. I guess a 5 star hotel at the Holy Mosque should have better staff than her.

Must try fairmont and make your trip memorable. Staff is so nice, supportive. From security men, receptions, resturant, housekeeping all are well alligned and organized.

De locatie was echt top, direct bij de Haram. Dat was voor mij het grootste pluspunt van het hotel.

Voor een 5-sterrenhotel en deze prijsklasse had ik meer luxe en service verwacht. De kamer werd niet altijd goed aangevuld met voldoende toiletpapier, thee en koffie, waardoor we hier zelf om moesten vragen. Ook vond ik de kussens niet comfortabel om op te slapen. Gezien de prijs had ik op deze punten een hoger niveau verwacht.

The proximity to the Haram is definitely the only major positive point.

Other than that, I feel that the quality does not match the standard expected from a hotel in this category, especially considering the price. I have stayed in other four-star hotels that I enjoyed much more in terms of quality and service. The rooms are quite basic, and I was disappointed with the quality of the linen. The sheets and towels lacked the freshness and quality I expected. The buffet was very basic and repetitive, with almost the same dishes every day. The table service was also very poor: long waiting times, tables not being cleared properly, and a lack of attention from the staff. The hotel also accommodates a very large number of groups, which creates a crowded atmosphere and makes the stay less relaxing, even during a relatively quiet period. I was also surprised to see garbage bags left in the corridors outside some rooms, which is really not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. For dinner, I would recommend Anjum Makkah or Safwat Ghufran instead. I personally enjoyed the food much more there, especially the variety and quality of the dishes, making for a much more pleasant dining experience. For me, the price paid absolutely does not justify the level of service provided. Fortunately, we only stayed for three nights.

I made the reservation through Booking.com for 5 adults and 1 child (8 years old). Although the confirmation displayed only 2 adults, I subsequently checked the exact same room and dates for 5 adults + 1 child, and both Booking.com and the Accor app showed the exact same price. I have screenshots documenting this and can provide them as evidence. Furthermore, there were several email exchanges with your management regarding airport transportation, in which the reservation was clearly acknowledged as being for 6 guests with 6 bags. At no point before our arrival was I informed that the reservation reflected only 2 adults or that additional charges would apply. There is also the issue of the two sofa beds included with the room. When we requested that they be prepared, we were informed that both sofa beds were under maintenance and could not be used. We therefore requested two extra beds as a replacement. Since the room was advertised and booked with two sofa beds, these replacement beds should not result in an additional charge. Additionally, I contacted Room Dining to request a bucket of ice and six glasses. I was told that only three glasses would be provided free of charge and that the remaining three would be charged. I find it unreasonable that empty drinking glasses would incur a charge, particularly when we are staying in a Fairmont Gold two-bedroom suite, rather than a standard room. The issue is not the amount of money. The concern is the repeated experience of being presented with additional charges for services or amenities that should reasonably be included, particularly when the circumstances were not communicated to us in advance. Unfortunately, this is further compounded by the condition of the room: the towels and bedsheets have an unpleasant smell, and the living room air conditioning is not cooling adequately and remains too warm.

Extremely polite and helpful staff! We have been to several (but not all) hotels inside the clock tower. Among all those hotels, I found the location of this Hotel 'The Best'. Different floors have different set of elevators. This avoids the traffic during Salah time. Dedicated Haram elevators lead you directly to clock tower lobby. The other thing I liked the most is the location of the 'Hotel Mosque'. In our experience, for other Hotels inside clock tower, you need to walk a lot to reach Hotel Mosque. This is not so convenient if you have elderly/children with you. The location of the Hotel Mosque for Fairmont Hotel is right in front of the Elevator you took.

We got a room that was right in front of the Room Service Station. It was a bit noisy for few hours in the morning. Breakfast has a lot of variety but compared to other Hotels would rate it OK-ish

She handled the situation with genuine care and ensured we received a much better upgrade, which made a big difference to our stay. Her attitude was warm, proactive, and highly professional. 2. Duty Manager Umar Umar, as always, was incredibly supportive throughout our stay. He consistently went out of his way to assist us whenever needed. His dedication and calm manner reflect the high standards of Fairmont’s guest service. 3. Restaurant Team – Especially Brother Sameer The restaurant staff were excellent—polite, well‑mannered, and attentive. A special mention to Brother Sameer, who looked after us with exceptional courtesy. His service added a personal touch that we truly appreciated. --- Overall, Fairmont Makkah continues to deliver a high level of hospitality, and the efforts of staff like Heba, Umar, and Sameer make the experience even more special.
