Good selection of beers and food. Excellent breakfast. Original wooden beams in bedroom.and spiral staircases.
Amazing staff really friendly staff food amazing
The place was amazing
The Falkland Arms was just beautiful, thatched roof, cosy clean rooms, food was very good, lovely staff and a great location.
There was anything we didnt like.
Great evening meal, we had the beef Sunday roast, and piping hot, freshly cooked English breakfast. The beer selection was also fantastic. Historic building with lots of quirky features, great for short stay to explore surrounding area.
Lovely location and good size room breakfast was phenomenal had a good variety of pastries and fruit staff were very attentive
Nothing really what I would say and it’s not a negative this is not really suitable for somebody with mobility issues
It’s in a lovely location, very pretty pub, nice staff, nice food, good selection of beer and drinks
The bed was too small. The eggs at breakfast were over cooked
Good pub atmosphere and bedroom
One evening meal was not that good but had a full refund.
2 Night stay in a great location Staff were great, food was good.
Room was a little bit on the small side, but reflected in the price
Beautiful pub and location
Bit hot in the room
The property was easy to find and very welcoming when I arrived.
Beautiful location and historic cute pub. Lovely room and breakfast. Staff friendly and attentive.
We love the place, the village, the stuff is very attentive, great atmosphere and food, etc.
The beds unfortunately are not very comfy so we’d struggle to stay more than one night.
Beautiful property in a stunning location, staff are delightful, Breakfast was great really tasty and the streaky bacon was so good. we would definitely recommend and revisit.
We booked last minute so we had the last room available the room was lovely and clean but it was on the small side it was advertised as a small double so was expected. Great for me but my 6ft 2 husband did struggle with the bathroom size and smaller bed but nothing to dislike about the property overall great stay but will book a bigger room when we return, well in advance as I know the property books up fast and we can see why after our stay.
Everything 😊
This is a beautiful pub in a picturesque village. Extremely popular place. Good pub grub. Nice comfy bed. Breakfast nice. Nice beer garden. Staff lovely. Nice cafe next door.
Room a bit on small side for us. Especially the toilet I’m afraid. I know it’s because of room size of rooms . It was extremely hot fan nice but not that cooling. Nowhere really to sit after you’ve eaten apart from outside. Usually need table back.
Proper English pub
Nothing
Breakfast and dinner was great
Bathroom was very small. It was fine for one night, but I would not like to stay for several nights with that. I think it is an unfortunate consequence of being a very old building.
Amazing staff …Hobbs made it the most perfect stay ! Thank you
Room was too small with two large dogs
Dates back to the 16th Century, full of history and situated in the beautiful, peaceful Great Tew :)
There’s nothing, it’s very popular so quite difficult to get reservations at short notice. I usually booked direct.
Nice pub in lovely little village, we had the attic room 6 . Very clean room with bottled water and biscuits provided , plenty of choice of teas etc. Fans provided in the room which was very welcome. Bed was comfortable with nice linen.
There wasn’t many staff members working so it was hard to get served with drinks and food especially on our first night. Our table of 2 was forgotten about when larger groups arrived to dine so we gave up on desserts. Breakfast wasn’t great, only one member of staff serving the tables, taking orders, cleaning tables and seeing to guests who were checking out. Both morning we arrived to breakfast with no clean tables available. So had to stand and wait till staff member was free. (Not her fault when on her own) Food quality was poor, I have never stayed anywhere that serves smoked streaky bacon for breakfast very cheap. No offer of extra tea or coffee . Bread wasn’t refilled and no offer of more. So I think this is something that needs improvement. Tip for people looking to book, rooms are reached via a steep spiral staircase and a further spiral staircase to room 6 and the other attic room .
The location is excellent, the pub itself is lovely, staff nice and it was really quiet at night. I would definitely stay again, but next time I’d book a double room!
The single room was extremely small and dark. I also have a huge fear of spiders and unfortunately there were at least three in the room when I arrived, with a few more appearing the following day. Obviously spiders aren’t the hotel’s fault, but there were quite a lot of cobwebs around the room which could have done with being cleared.
Location and the pub itself which we have visited a number of times over the past 30+ years...A proper traditional pub that although now slightly spoiled due it's over popularity over the years ,is still well worth a visit
Staff very helpful .
Friendly staff and food was really good
Parking was not brilliant for people with mobility issues
De plek en hoe het eruit zag. Erg gezellige pub

Lovely old fashioned pub
Excellent location in the heart if quintessential Cotswold village. Lovely pub, full of character. Very warm welcome by the staff. Stylish, well appointed rooms, very comfortable bed. Superb full English breakfast.
The quality of the food, the cleanliness and how friendly the staff were
Nothing
The area and b&b were just beautiful
The rooms were small but as expected for a property of its age and it had everything we needed for our stay. Not a criticism at all
Old and lined the oak beams
Just that being in the attic was very hot.
A lovely short stay. Great welcome and very friendly
A lovely looking place, a quite and a relaxing area. The staff is amazing, let all the locals and the hotel guests stay up late at the pub to watch England vs Norway. Good food, decent breakfast.
If you are sensitive to the heat, might not be the best place in summer. The building traps heat a little too well, it was a bit too stuffy in the room for me to sleep properly.
Een mooie authentieke overnachting met vriendelijk personeel. Mooie omgeving en hondvriendelijk!
Everything
There's nothing not to like
Bed was a wee bit small for a double and mattress too hard
Beautiful, quaint thatched roof hotel in a quiet village. A bustling little pub which seems to draw in locals as well as tourists. Old wooden curly stairs take you up to the rooms. The room was immaculate with a distinctive charm and decor. All the staff were friendly and so helpful. One chap went over and above (I didn’t get his name though 😞) he was there from breakfast until night always smiling, running about, making sure everyone was looked after. The breakfast was great. Good selection of cereals etc as well as a vast array of cooked breakfast options. We ate in the evening also and the food was fresh, tasty and filling. A lovely little hideaway with great access to the Cotswolds.
The only downside was the room was very hot as it was the heatwave weekend whilst we were there. We did have a fan in the room but it served very little rest bite. On a plus side it should be nice and warm in the winter months as the walls are that thick they retain so much heat.
Location, great staff. Lovely relaxing place with great food. Beer garden was also fantastic
Very thick quilt for a warm room in summer months. Shower very unpredictable, kept on going from cold to Very hot
A really charming hotel and location with the most friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast was a bit bland.
This was a stay in the quintessential Cotswold Inn. Ernesto who met me upon arrival was such a help - literally couldn't have done more - an amazing character.
Nothing
Absolutely beautiful, staff brilliant, super dog friendly, will definitely stay again . Excellent location in the beautiful Cotswolds. Ate in the pup food was delicious.
Room was really comfortable, the cleanliness was excellent, we has room number 1 which had a shower which was a bit on the small side for the bigger individual.
Nice old pub lots character
No parking
The Falkland Arms was spotlessly. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the pub in the evening(great choices on the menu),and the food and service was superb! The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and delicious.
Location, service, food, beer were all excellent. Welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
Too far from home!
Beautiful location , lovely building , comfortable bar, dining area, bedroom and outside seating
Superb breakfast. Dinner menu was good as was the quality of the food. The pub is a quintessential "Ye Olde Village Pub"
Our room was on the small side and the bathroom was tiny. It was"ok" for a two night stay.
This is our second time staying here - it’s a quaint little b&b above a pub. The facilities are amazing and everything is finished to high standards
Nothing - we love it
This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary....it was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff, particularly the owner, were so friendly and attentive. A beautiful pub with lots of character in a stunning location. Delicious food, both evening meal and breakfast. We felt very well looked after and will definitely recommend to others and go back !
Being rather tall (1.93 meters) it was a challenge, not only in the room but also around the entire premisis. Having said that, it was a real experience to remember. But be aware of the low ceilings and very small bathroom in the room.
In our case, the (bath)room was too low and small to have a comfortable stay, but that can't be helped for such a historic building ofcourse.
In a stunning location peaceful tranquil and away from the touristy spots of the Cotswolds.
Stunning property, with beautifully decorated rooms and the food served is fab - especially the breakfasts.
Nothing to note really.
Thatch roof and the stone proper country pub!!
Located near school and parking was nightmare
The building & decor are gorgeous
Noise
Stunning location Friendly staff
Nothing
Lovely pub with lots of character. Friendly staff, excellent food and great range of beers.
The stairs to the rooms were steep - not a problem at all for us but worth bearing in mind. Part of the character of an old building.
Such a lovely pub, the room was clean, fresh and really enjoyed my stay, bed was super comfy and I was very cosy in my room.
Nothing.
Clean olde world decor , very well presented
A gem of a place to stay, very olde world, full of charm, the room was lovely and everything spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and beautiful bed linen, all high quality, staff all welcoming and friendly, good food too, great choice for breakfast and in the evening if you wanted to dine, would certainly stay again.
The spiral staircase but this would not stop me from staying again.
Beautiful property in a great location. Lovely staff. Comfortable beds.
Nil
Beautiful
Very small room
Just a perfect beautiful pub
All wonderful
Perfect location, beautiful old pub and very helpful and friendly staff.
Quirky little rooms. Fabulous food
Beautiful setting. Great location. Would definitely recommend.
The only fault I could find was that the shower wasn’t very good. No power, more of a trickle. Difficult to wash your hair.
Everything about our stay was lovely. The place, the people and the food!! We will be back for sure!
There were a lot of dogs in the pub and that was tricky as I’m allergic to them
Charming 17th Century building in lovely village. Stairs to accommodation are narrow and winding so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues but we were informed prior to booking. Food was tasty and well presented. Well patronised by locals with an open fire inside the bar and nice beer garden behind (not used by us due to chilly weather). Highly recommend.
Nothing
Breakfast was very good, Room 6 was quite good in terms of facilities. Surrounding area enjoyable for a walk
Access to Room 6 was rather challenging, especially carrying cases. Bathroom very small. Using the sink was difficult due to the glass shelf being too wide. Shower facility poor. Requested an evening meal but the only table available was in the bar which was far too noisy.
Great location and staff couldn’t do enough to please so had a lovely relaxing weekend
Nothing
Excellent. Lovely decor and clean rooms. Great location
Nothing
quaintness
no lifts but that was not expected because of old building
Comfortable room clean and tidy
Nothing not to like really unless you have mobility issues
Location. Staff - all excellent. Not kidding.
Great location set in quintessential England
The electric shower in room 1 was poor - everything else was very good
Beautiful surroundings lovely quiet village staff were polite and informative food fabulous
breakfast very good
Comfortable sleep, lovely pub, great staff. All round a very enjoyable stay.
The staff
The room was far too hot and quite small
Everything was absolutely amazing, friendly staff, clean and cozy room, good food. We'll definitely come back.
Beautiful place, really lovely and homelike rooms which are super spacious too, lovely breakfast and great service
