Very central. Very friendly staff.

My room was located at the back of the property and was very quiet although another of my party had a room at the front near the main road. Bit noisy especially as apparently roadworks began one morning at 5 am and a guest has to shout out of the window to tell them to stop. Also we were told that a shed was available to put our bikes in of a night but on arrival found there was none.

During dinner staff forgot drinks, ignored between courses and failed to off pounding menu of final coffee or drink end up moving to the bar to get served

Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful

Appreciate that it's an old pub but the bedroom was tiny, needed carpet replacing. Top of bedhead had never been cleaned so thick layer of dust. Mattress could do with replacing. Fan provided but so noisy that you couldn't sleep. Bathroom was tiny and could have been cleaner.

The location was lovely, central to everything we wanted to do, with a good variety of pubs and cafes.

Enjoyed our weekend stay at the Fox. We had a small dog with us. Given a room at back of hotel with separate entrance to the pub which was handy having a dog. Parking available. Staff were friendly. We ate both nights in the pub restaurant. Also breakfasts. Food was good. Recommended for a weekend in Chipping Norton and surrounding area.

Hook was missing behind door in bathroom for towels. No shelf for toiletries in shower. These are small issues that can be sorted. Room was small and could be warm in hot weather but a fan was provided.

Our room was very disappointing. Carpet stained. Could not close the window properly as the handle was falling off. Black mould in shower cubicle. Hair clip on the bathroom floor clearly left by previous guest so cleaner had not done a proper clean. Rooms are right next to outside seating area so very loud noise until late at night

Fantastic team at the Fox, offering great hospitality and the room and shower were excellent. Could not do enough for you - and food was also excellent. Even the bar playlist was outstanding!!

Amazing hotel and staff went above and beyond to help - even getting us toothpaste from the local shop as we had forgotten ours. Food was lovely too. Definitely recommend and we would stay there again. Parking is so handy and great location.

Another stop on our road trip and Chipping Norton such beautiful little town. Did all the Jeremy Clackson locations as all close by. The Fox was lovely pub with great breakfast, room was nice and spacious with comfy bed. Would highly recommend..

As a bloke of 6'4" it's another watch your head with all the low ceilings, just another problem with being tall, the struggle is real 🤕

Ther eis nothing to do in Chipping Norton- it is just a drive through town- cars endless cars and not much food. Then the small and hot room.....

Staff so accommodating and friendly, told us about breakfast add on which we did and food was beautiful. The whole place was really clean and we had a lovely stay.

Great location, plenty of parking and a disabled bay. Beautiful room,no 8 good for wheelchair access from car. Seating outside available too near room, under lit canopy’s walkway down to bar. However then need to go around outside of building to main door for pub/restaurant if in wheelchair. Lovely evening meal, friendly and helpful staff. Fan provided for room, much needed.

Could do with small fridge in room, daily milk was provided on request.

Only downfall was there was no air conditioning and we visited during the 34 degree heatwave. Rooms were in an attic type of location and were therefore stifling hot. Didn't sleep well due to the heat, however the beds were very comfortable! Staff gave us an extra fan and couldn't have been more helpful!

Good location, staff friendly and helpful, free parking a bonus; nice touch in the room with a bottle of brewery beer and cans of mineral water provided and fresh milk from the bar in a little flask. Staff were accommodating to our request for a better fan and more towels and even changed our bedding after we had spilt coffee on the bed!

Room was quite small, cramped bathroom but our room was in the eaves; no air con and fan provided was very poor, another better fan provided upon request as were more towels; room could have had a little more attention to detail re: cleaning.

We loved our stay at The Fox, the room & bed were really comfortable and the staff were all lovely. We really appreciated the fan they replaced in our room as the weather was so hot. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant, probably our favourite meal on our trip to The Cotswolds... delicious!

We would definitely stay at The Fox again but would probably choose a room at the back of the property to be quieter

Location & parking were very good for our few days stay.

The fan provided was very small & had to ask for another. Both fans were broken & had out of date testing stickers. The bathroom extractor didn't work. The emergency light above the bed was held together with tape. Toilet seat was a bit loose & there was nowhere to put your toiletries inside the shower. It was a heatwave and the staff did not check in on us as they knew how hot the rooms would be without air conditioning. I would not recommend for a summer stay.

It was a lovely little pub hotel. So clean, very pretty. Great location for our stay (we was off on a clarksons farm tours). Chipping Norton - beautiful place, and lots to offer. Breakfast was good & the coffee was amazing. Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Free parking in the property.

I actually can’t think of anything I didn’t like, so I guess the only problem was the stairs creaked but honestly once you’re in your room you can’t hear it so really wasn’t a problem hahaha.

The lady on receptuon when we arrived was lovely and the pub/room was nicely decorated and felt cozy.

The pillows were terrible, no support in them and the bed was a bit hard. Breakfast took a long time to be served and morning staff werent very happy/friendly. Drinks were expensive compaired to other pubs.

Would have liked a comfy chair in the room, there was plenty of space or a cushion in the window seat. Probably a little expensive although do appreciate the accommodation is in the centre of a busy Cotswold town.

Free parking , beautiful rustic hotel, extremely helpful staff, the room was lovely and I liked that we were shown to our room too. A bottle of their ale and 2 cans of water plus tea coffee were complimentary, and such a great touch. We had dinner and breakfast there, not included but we wanted to add on, and the food was outstanding. The main man who looked after us, tall dark hair with glasses couldn't do enough and needs a mention so hopefully the powers.in charge can see how great he is I cannot recommend this hotel enough

Excellent location, great if you want to go to Diddly Squat, only 5 mins away by car. Excellent food, good freshly cooked breakfast and delicious evening meals, all the staff were lovely. Ample free parking. Cosy room and comfortable bed. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Staff were really friendly and attentive and the pub is lovely.

Breakfast for me, at 0730 is too late. My bed was not very comfortable, especially the pillows so I didn't have a great night's sleep. My shower head was really dirty and the extractor did t appear to work so after a shower the walls were soaking. I have stayed at The Fox a number of times and this time I was disappointed at £126 without breakfast, I was not happy with what I received for my money.

Comfortable room, good facilities. Great breakfast and evening meal. Staff were very helpful , couldn’t do enough for us. The Fox is very central , good location for the Cotswolds. Chipping Norton is a great place to stay with cinema and restaurants.

That the holiday came to an end.

Breakfast was adequate and good value. The room was quite small but clean. Beer was excellent. Had to cancel one day off our original booking but we were given a full refund.

Bedside cabinet broken. TV reception terrible. Picture kept breaking up. Wife had fish and chips which she found undercooked however this was taken off the bill.

The fox is in a good location close to shops and cafes etc .

The fox wasn’t particularly clean the towels didn’t seem to be clean . The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows weren’t clean . It was very noisy during the night so we struggled to sleep .
