Reviewed Sep 13, 2026We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Jetwing Blue Negombo! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, relaxing and beautifully organised. The hotel is in a fantastic beachfront location, and we absolutely loved being able to enjoy the beach, pool and resort atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the whole property had such a relaxing feel — exactly what we needed. The staff were one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful, and they genuinely made us feel welcome. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The food was also delicious with a great selection, and we really enjoyed being able to simply relax at the hotel, enjoy the pool and beach, and unwind. Overall, we had such a lovely experience at Jetwing Blue and only wish we could have stayed longer! It was easily one of the highlights of our trip and somewhere we would happily return to. Highly recommended!

Lobby bar had a great range of drinks and only encountered very friendly and thoughtful staff. A number of restaurant options around the main strip within a short walk of the property.
Rooms were definitely ageing, especially the bathrooms. Functional, but probably overdue for a bit of freshening up.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Great location right on a beautiful clean beach. Large room with balcony. Amazing buffet dinner outside. Food was delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff. The pool looked very inviting and clean, but no time to use it.
Dirty and faulty blinds and dirty windows. No chairs and table, only very soft uncomfortable couches. No privacy in bathroom unless you close all the windows. The one over the bath you can only close if you climb in the bath.

Every morning there’s one staff that will come while we were having breakfast asking us how our stay was… I’m happy to engage in conversations but this was very robotic and not so genuine.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Nice big room and lovely big pool to relax in. They were kind enough to allow us a late checkout to the airport which made our last day much more enjoyable! Breakfast was great and loads to choose from.
It says it’s a 5 star, it is in terms of service but it’s a little rough round the edges in places compared to other 5 stars in Sri Lanka. Still comfortable and good value though but needs attention on corridors, in rooms to have more of a wow factor.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Nach einem langen Flug kamen wir sehr früh am Morgen im Hotel an und wurden direkt herzlich empfangen. Zur Erfrischung bekamen wir kühle Tücher und leckere Säfte – eine wirklich schöne Geste nach der langen Reise. Besonders haben wir uns darüber gefreut, dass wir bereits um 09:00 Uhr unser Zimmer beziehen durften. Doch damit nicht genug: Wir erhielten sogar ein Upgrade und hatten dadurch wunderbar viel Platz für uns und unsere Kinder. Der herzliche Empfang und die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft haben unseren Aufenthalt von der ersten Minute an zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Start in unseren Urlaub!

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Beautiful resort, we wish we would have stayed more then 1 night. Very central, great location, right by all the shops. Good breakfast, and nice swimming pool and beach. Room is big and spacious and comfortable.
Staff are a little unresponsive and slow at breakfast, but this seemed to be common in Sri Lanka. The bathroom needed some maintenance. Bed sheets were a little scratchy.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The family room was huge with a lovely balcony looking out to sea. It was clean and in good condition. The dinning table and fridge were a great addition and there was very well designed shelving to unpack. The bathroom was very good - again with lots of space and a good shower. We didn’t eat in the hotel at all as there are lots of restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk. There’s also an ATM and a wine shop very close! The main pool was quite busy when we were there but there’s a smaller pool adjoining their sister hotel which was very quiet if you are seeking peace. The staff team were all fantastic - both welcoming and helpful.

We stayed here for one night on 10 August, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel was in a very poor and poorly maintained condition. It is clearly an old property that has not been properly looked after, and the overall condition was shocking. I paid £133 for one night, which is certainly not cheap, and given the standard of the hotel, I genuinely feel ripped off and that I did not receive value for money. In my opinion, based on its current condition, the hotel is nowhere near the standard I would expect and feels more like a one-star property. Sadly, I would definitely not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to my family or friends. I expected considerably more for the price I paid and was extremely disappointed with the overall standard of the hotel.

Hotel begint wat sporen van veroudering te vertonen. Airco moeilijk goed te regelen (waardoor kamer wat killig en klam werd). Ontbijtbuffet is zeer uitgebreid maar kwaliteit middelmatig. Airport pick is was veel te duur naar locale normen (regel je beter los van hotel) .Prijs / kwaliteit is het eerder te duur.

The hotel is like an old colonial style hotel. Pretty old school, didn’t like the rooms that much and also didn’t enjoy the buffet. Food costs about double what we experienced in other hotels. Also they were late giving us access to the room which was annoying

La plage était fermée avec des palissades métalliques qui empêchaient de voir l’océan.. le jetwing Beach à côté avait une vue nettement plus sympa. Piscine en piteux état avec carrelages manquants et abords très dangereux. Mon mari s’est coupé le pied ! Heureusement que ça n’est pas arrivé à un enfant.
