Goldi Sands Hotel

Great location on the beachfront with great view from our suite, during breakfast and while in the pool. Also, breakfast was delicious with a large range of options. Our suite was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The super king sized bed was the best. A great location with great views and close to eating and shops. To top it all off, the staff were friendly and very gracious. Finally, the three striped palm squirrels were fun to watch while on the sun bed.

There was nothing we didn’t like but maybe something to hang your wet clothes on as we hung our wet togs on the outdoor furniture. Everything was great.

Lage relativ nah zum internationalen Flughafen und direkt am Strand, aber saisonbedingt konnte man nicht im Meer baden. Dafür war die Pools schön zum Baden - und zum Entspannen vor dem abendlichen Abflug zurück nach Europa ideal.

O Goldi Sands era o primeiro hotel da tour pelo Sri Lanka em que ia participar e, por isso, reservei uma noite anterior ao início da tour. Foi uma opção muito prática, também pela proximidade do aeroporto. O hotel tem uma excelente localização mesmo junto à praia e gostei muito da vista para o mar. O quarto era espaçoso, limpo, confortável e agradável. Os funcionários foram sempre muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Antes da estadia, comuniquei várias vezes com o hotel e recebi sempre respostas simpáticas e disponíveis, incluindo quando avisei que ia chegar de madrugada devido a alterações nos voos... e quando pedi para ficar no mesmo quarto nas duas noites, pedido que conseguiram satisfazer. O pequeno-almoço era muito bom. O hotel tem duas piscinas, fornece toalhas e tem cadeiras de praia à disposição.

Devido a uma alteração nos voos, tive de cancelar o transfer que tinha reservado através do Booking. Como ia chegar de madrugada, acabei por pedir ao hotel que organizasse o transfer do aeroporto. O serviço custou 40 dólares, um valor que me pareceu um pouco elevado, embora possa ter sido influenciado pelo horário da chegada. O motorista foi extremamente simpático. O ar-condicionado do quarto fazia também algum barulho.

Hotel molto confortevole sulla spiaggia sabbiosa e profonda di Negombo. Lettini sulla spiaggia e due piscine. Vicino all'aeroporto internazionale e ottimo per una sosta prima o dopo il volo.

We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff as well as the general manager who greeted us each time we bumped into one another. A special thank you to Sandu (apologies if this is spelt incorrectly) who was alsways visible at reception and able to answer any questions we had about the area. There was a variety of food at breakfast too with international and local cuisine. We booked a suite which was very spacious with plenty of room for a family of 3. The views were outstanding as the suite offered both pool and beach view. The swimming pool was a perfect length for swimming and the shaded seating area in between the pool and the beach was great for relaxing in the afternoon.

Kind staff who helped us with everything we needed. Large, spacious and beautiful rooms. Large balconies with stunning views of the beach and pool. Fun pools and easy access to the beach. In the evening, a band plays in the hotel restaurant, which sets the mood. Thank you very much.

Maybe the hotel's Hotel exterior and facilities could be updated a bit, but overall, it was a great stay!

Location on the beach, great place to recover from a long flight

Goldi Sands is a very nice, large hotel near the airport. The rooms were big and nicely decorated, the bathrooms clean and probably the best shower we had in 2 weeks! Food was good. Right on the beach and close to sone great restaurants! I great airport stop over.

Locatie is prachtig. 2 grote zwembaden een een kinderbadje. Zeer ruim opgezet maaar een. Heel rustige sfeer. Uitermate vriendelijk personeel.

Iets verouderde kamers, maar alles is aanwezig of moet je maar vragen. Enig minpuntje: eerste avond ging er een feest door met luide en livemuziek tot middernacht. Hiervan werden we pas bij aankomst van verwittigd, en dit stoorde wel door weinig isolerende ramen.

Świetna lokalizacja, przy oceania. Fajne 2 baseny chłodniejszy i cieplejszy. Smacze jedzenie. Dobrze działająca klimatyzacja, przestronne pokoje. Czysto. Widok na ocean z pięknym zachodem słońca.

Great location and nice pool area and great staff.

The staff are all very helpful and friendly, particularly Sandu at front of house. The room (junior suite) was very spacious and very lovely, with a huge bathroom and a deck. Wonderful views. Only con is that the windows need a good clean both inside and out (and no it's not just fresh 'monsoon', they've needed cleaning for a long time). The pool temperature is great. Loungers are hard but that's the same everywhere. Yes, we would definitely stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay. Cheers

the room has the most amazing view, but the windows have not been cleaned inside and out for a long, long time. It is not just fresh 'monsoon' winds causing it. The hot water could take a long while to come to the shower and at other times the cold water was scalding hot. We will stay again, it's a great hotel.

I really enjoyed staying here - everything was perfect. My junior suite room was stunning and had a panoramic sea view. The staff were lovely and everywhere was clean. I enjoyed the food and there was a good selection every day. The grounds were well kept and the location on the beach was perfect. It was also really good value for money. I would definitely like to stay here again.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the friendly staff in Goldi Sands Hotel. The beach, breakfast, and the room is so excellent for us as the guest to enjoy ourselves in this beautiful hotel. The Goldi Sands was a true resort taking care of our every need. The rooms were so big, pools beautifully kept & the meals in the restaurant were a very high standard.

Nothing we didn't like. Just a shame the patronage was low due to the world situation.

Lighting in the passages could be better. There were a a few not so well lit spaces, especially in the passages.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The unity between staff was also exceptional We hope to visit again in the near future. The breakfast and the food was value for money. We have stayed in many hotels in Sri Lanka and we regard this as one of the best

Staff were amazing! So friendly and welcoming, check out was 12pm and staff let us stay and use facilities. Rooms were exceptionally clean and staff were helpful.

The area around the hotel and the beach access was great. There was an muay thai event in the back of the hotel which was a bit loud but personally nice to see. Staff was nice in general.

The hotel is dated, there is a cashier booth available only until midnight so if you check in after that time you might have rpoblem paying with card. Food in the restaurant most probably caused our stomach issues...

Very lovely hotel located in the center of Negombo right on the beach. Rooms are nicely decorated and fully equipped. Late afternoon I was surprised with a fruit platter that was send free of charge to the guest room. This felt so welcoming. The staff, especially the front office staff and the guest relation lady, is super kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful time, the hotel is on the beach, the location is fantastic. The food was good, the staff were supersweet. They made sure we are comfortable throughout. We went on a anniversary trip and they surprised us with a cake too, we didnt expect them to even remember as i mentioned weeks before we made the booking. All in all, its a good place to stay, we opted for ocean view room and it met all our expectations.

Zum Abschluss unserer Sri-Lanka-Rundreise waren wir vier Tage im Goldi Sands. Pool und Strand sind toll zum Entspannen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und es gibt ausreichend Liegen im Schatten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonderes Highlight war der Streedfood Abend am Strand.

Room Condition & Furnishings — While the bed was comfortable and I slept very well, the overall room decor and furniture felt noticeably outdated. A refurbishment would go a long way in elevating the guest experience to match the excellent service and food on offer. Television — Unfortunately, the television in my room was not functioning during my stay. This is something that should be addressed promptly, as it is a basic amenity guests expect. Bathroom Facilities — The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. Modern fixtures and fittings would make a significant difference and bring the overall standard of the rooms in line with the rest of the hotel's strengths.

Das Standardzimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Einrichtung ist recht abgewohnt. Die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht regeln, entweder sie kühlte voll oder gar nicht. Allerdings waren angenehme Temperaturen kaum zu erreichen. Möglicherweise liegt das aber auch an der derzeitigen Energiekrise. Der Preis von rund 130 Euro pro Nacht mit mäßigem Frühstück (das "continental") scheint ziemlich überhöht.

Air conditioning unit malfunctioned at 1:30am and an engineer had to be called, was semi-fixed but continued to be loud when operating Cats and dogs in the restaurant, this is very unhygienic and staff did little to stop these animals, the cat even sat on one of the dining chairs where a guest would then sit. I’m allergic to dogs.

Srrand lekker rustig en je kon lekker een drankje bestelken.b Dit was de 1e keer bij aankomst op sri lanka 2e keer voor de terugreis, dachten doen hetzelfde hotel maar deze keer was het anders.Kregen niet de geboekte kamer (balkon seaview)geen bedjes op strand vrij, te druk. Dus onze 1e ervaring geen constante factor bij dit hotel. Cijfer resencie wat aangepast nu.
