Muy mala comunicación y pésimo servicio La comunicación con el hotel fue pésima. Escribí 5 veces por email y también por WhatsApp para confirmar si podían recogernos y llevarnos al aeropuerto. Expliqué toda la situación con antelación para evitar problemas al llegar, pero, aun así, al llegar al hotel tuve que perder más de una hora en recepción porque no tenían ninguna información y nadie parecía saber nada. Además, incluso para hacer una cuenta muy sencilla de 1 + 1 tuvimos problemas, lo cual resulta bastante preocupante en un hotel. La habitación tampoco cumplió con unas condiciones mínimas: el frigorífico estaba muy sucio y daba asco, el baño no tenía ventilación y no había papel higiénico cuando llegamos; tuvimos que pedirlo. En general, una experiencia muy decepcionante. La falta de organización, comunicación y limpieza deja mucho que desear.

Die Fotos entsprechen nicht der Realität. Im Kleiderschrank waren lauter Spinnweben, das Zimmer wurde nicht frisch gemacht, es gab wie in der Beschreibung steht (oder wie auf den Bildern erkennbar ist) kein Shampoo oder Duschgel und es gibt nur ein großes Handtuch, also nichts konkretes fürs Händeabtrocknen. Es gibt auch keinen Wasserkocher und keine Tassen/Becher im Zimmer.

入住体验整体不错。尽管我们下飞机很晚才到，但房东依然热情等候，服务态度很好。房间干净整洁，员工主动帮忙提行李上楼，很暖心。

美中不足的是早餐准备得稍微慢了一些，如果速度能再快一点就更完美了。整体来说还是非常推荐的！

Siisti hotelli ja erittäin ystävällinen palvelu. Yövyimme muutaman yön heti pitkän matkustuksen jälkeen, mihin hotelli oli täydellinen. Omistaja järjesti meille myös taksin päiväksi, mikä toimi loistavasti.

Our stay at Summer Side Residence was absolutely wonderful and the perfect choice for our family holiday in Negombo. The blend of excellent facilities, immaculate cleanliness, and the staff's professionalism made this stay superb value for money. We will definitely be back!

De mensen van het hotel waren erg vriendelijk, helaas voelde onze kamer niet erg schoon. Er zaten allemaal vlekken op de lakens en handdoeken. Nadat wij hadden gecheckt of er ook schone lakens waren zeiden ze dat deze schoon waren en dat die vlekken er niet uit gaan. Voelde toch niet zo prettig. Het bed lag wel erg lekker!

Na een lange vlucht kwamen wij rond 12 uur ’s nachts aan bij het hotel. Bij aankomst lag de eigenaar zelf te slapen op de bank voor de receptie, wat meteen een zeer onprofessionele indruk gaf. Alles was donker en we wisten niet wat we konden doen. De kamer die we kregen was ronduit verschrikkelijk. Er hing een gigantische, indringende zweetlucht die zó sterk was dat we er amper konden slapen. Daarnaast zaten er hele vieze, onhygiënische vlekken op het bed, wat echt onacceptabel is. Ook hingen er overal losse draden in de kamer, wat er onverzorgd en zelfs onveilig uitzag. De badkamer zat vol schimmel en was allesbehalve schoon. Op de website staat vermeld dat er wifi is, maar in werkelijkheid is er helemaal geen wifi aanwezig. Dit is misleidende informatie. Kortom: een waardeloos hotel dat zijn geld totaal niet waard is. Wij raden dit verblijf absoluut niemand aan.

Owner couldn’t do enough for me after they suffered problems with electrics and water from the floods so collected me from the airport and took me to his brother-in-law‘s hotel to stay

We stayed for one night, checking in late and departing early the next morning. The property is located slightly off the main road, offering a peaceful environment. The hosts and manager were courteous and ensured a smooth check-in. Our second-floor room was clean, spacious, and featured a large double bed. We were informed that the beach is within walking distance. The hosts served a good breakfast before our departure. As our stay was brief, we could not experience other amenities, but we appreciate the warm and attentive service provided.

Väldigt dålig Wifi. Ingen tvål. Ingen toapapper. Ingen shampoo. Allting man behövde skulle man själv be att få. Snålt i alla avseenden alltså. Frukosten var väldigt snåltgjord. Alla recensioner jag tidigare hade läst om residencen visade sig inte stämma alls med verkligheten.

Leuk hotel om even op adem te komen na lange reis vanuit Nederland. Aardige eigenaar en personeel. Klein zwembadje om even af te koelen. Ontbijt prima verzorgd.

Le personnel est très attentionné. Le cadre est très sympa et tout est propre. Nous recommandons cet hôtel pour une première nuit après un long voyage. Il est possible d'aller très bien manger à 300 mètres de l'hôtel.

Estaba bien ubicado para visitar las tiendas de souvenirs y restaurantes de Negombo.

La piscina es muy bonita en las fotos pero luego no tiene nada que ver. Da a una especie de barranco y las vistas son bastante feas. La cama no es del todo cómoda y el wc deja que desear. Un poco caro para lo que es.

The hotel is conveniently located near the main roads, yet far enough removed to offer a peaceful and quiet stay. The swimming pool is situated at the back of the property and overlooks the canal. Contrary to some reviews, we found it very inviting, especially after a hot day. The rooms are basic, maybe a bit dark, but offer everything you need for a good night sleep at a decent price. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They went out of their way to help us during our first days in Sri Lanka, ensuring we got off to a great start on our holiday.

Summerside residence suited the needs of our large group. We were able to meet in the downstairs dining room/ lobby area and the outside swimming pool was welcome and well utilized in the heat of Negombo. Our hosts were eager to please, cutting up fruit for us and generally going out of their way to accomodate our needs.

There were some electrical issues which resulted in no air conditioning in some rooms one night. Our hosts did however attend to it quickly. Something to take note of is that there is a large window between the bedroom and bathroom in most rooms. A bamboo blind can be let down, but there is not 100% bathroom privacy from other room occupants.

Absolutely liked everything about this stay. From delicious dining options to cozy rooms. Surrounding was lively and stylish. Moreover the staff are also accommodating and friendly.

It was a very good extensive breakfast. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful, even the suitcases were brought upstairs. It's easy to reach the beach were it's possible to swim in 20min walking distance. There are lot's of nice places to eat. The aircon worked super good, Hot water in the shower!

The place is directed at a channel, which smells a bit and there are some moscitos. The pool does'nt look inviting

Bathroom- very little water flow in shower. Difficult and irritating when taking shower. TV was not working.

I don’t think we got the room we booked as it was full and may have been given to someone else but we didn’t realise until the next morning, was still a nice night. Shower leaked a lot so had to put a finger in an open pipe so there was enough pressure for it to come out the shower head haha.

Lovely place, though I’d say not so good value for money. It’s basic, but the price is a bit much, the pool isn’t so nice in reality. but a lovely canal runs next to the property that you can watch lots of nature for breakfast and the location is great, quick walk to the beach and restaurants

no mosquito net, even though there were a lot of mosquitoes. a cockroach appeared, but maybe it was a coincidence. It was a bit dirty, old cobwebs, a lot of mosquitoes in the room.

Pleasant owner, location is close to Negombo attractions.

The staff are very poorly trained - apart from language problems, they have no clue about service, whether it's the food or about room maintenance. The toilet in one of the rooms had overflowing water from another room, and one of the rooms was very noisy since it faced the road with traffic at all hours. Also, the owner did not accept card payment and insisted on cash.

We spent 2 night, the staff was very nice, friendly and smiling! We loved the swimming pool and the view at the small river ( watch out at the varano!!!!) Very close to the beach and restaurants, 15 minutes far from the beautiful fish market by Tuk Tuk.

Maybe all the places in negombo are noisy, but we had sleeping difficulties because the air conditioning, people talking loud and listening to music, and dogs barking

Hotel owner Dinesh was incredibly generous and welcoming. He and his staff made us feel very comfortable and helped us with all we needed, including currency exchange.

The air circulation in the bathrooms wasn’t great but not a huge deal breaker.

I absolutely loved my stay at Woodnest Summerside. Dinesh is an absolute gem and went above and beyond to look after me, he even helped me out with my visa when I had issues and let me in when I arrived very early in the morning after a long night bus. The beds are incredibly comfy and the pool was amazing. Staff were all so helpful. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend staying here!

The pool could have been cleaned better. Also very less staff available at the property making it difficult for the person to handle all the requests. The dialog TV connection did not work in our room.

The bathroom was dirty and the hairdryer didn’t work. Fixing these things would make the stay much nicer so an easy improvement to make!
