Personale attento, accogliente e disponibile Stanze curate e pulite Ottimo servizio Ottima posizione
A szálloda elhelyezkedése szuper, makulátlan tisztaság, a közös tereket naponta többször tisztítják.
Pulizia eccezionale !!! Vacanza perfetta per rilassarsi ! Io e mia figlia siamo celiache e ogni giorno poteva richiedere qualsiasi cosa persino la pizza buonissima ! ( cosa non scontata all'estero )
Das Essen: All inklusive Buffet morgens, mittags, abends.
Super, the best kitchen and the best personal.
Fantastic food, interesting night program for all of us.
I stayed at Zeus Hotel in Crete for two nights, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean and located directly opposite the beach. It also has a well-maintained and clean swimming pool. Sunbeds are available on the beach, although the number is limited, so it is better to go early if you want to secure one. The food was varied, tasty and more than sufficient. During my stay, they served shrimp, fish, octopus salad, several meat dishes and a good selection of salads. Breakfast was also varied and delicious. I had a room with a sea view, which was clean and serviced every day. The sunrise and sunset views were especially beautiful. The reception staff were friendly, understanding and always willing to help. The restaurant staff, animation team and bartender were also very helpful and professional. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from the airport. A taxi costs around €27 when travelling independently. There are supermarkets and restaurants on the same street, which is very convenient. Although the hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, there are several nearby restaurants for guests who would like to try different local dishes. The daytime animation team organises activities such as exercise sessions. However, the evening entertainment is rather limited. There are DJ performances, but guests should not expect a wide range of evening activities. The bar has only one service station, so queues can form during busy periods. The bartender has worked there for many years and is extremely helpful, but the hotel could improve the service by adding another station during peak hours. Local soft drinks and local alcoholic beverages are included. The selection of well-known imported spirits is limited or may require an additional charge. Apart from the invoice issue, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The cleanliness, location, food quality and helpful staff were the strongest points of the hotel.
The only significant problem I experienced was with the invoice. Although I made my reservation through Booking.com, the hotel was unable to prepare the invoice properly. It seemed that the accounting department was not sufficiently familiar with this type of reservation, and this process should definitely be improved.

The amenities, the staff
The food
We came from cold Germany, to the warmest and nice place in Crete. Our hotel was just a step from the beach front, very easily to access the beach. Well amenities in the hotel room. At the afternoon you watch at the sunset , and at the evenings oh I forgot it to mention , about the nice entertainment, especially that one with disco dj night, really fun for all , was nice holidays. Crete is definitely the super Mediterranean paradise.
We had a really great stay.Very friendly staff, good service, delicious food and spotless clean. And a fantastic bartender which knew exactly what to offer 😉.,his name is Michaelis))) The only things we didn't like was the photographers in the reception which were taking photos of our 13 year old daughter without asking us.And the dirty 🏖️
Close to the airport, lovely location on beach , friendly and warm-welcoming staff, great selection of Greek food, clean and comfortable rooms 🥰 we came two years ago and enjoyed our stay very much, and have done so again this time.
The hotel is excellent, staff is very helpful and polite. Very clean everywhere; warm water in the pool, right next to the beach. Food was just great - excellent cooking, delicious meals and diversity.. Perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. Exceeded my expectations and good value for money. Would definitely come back.
Everything was fine. No complaints at all.
Great location, near large sandy beach, souvenir shops nearby, great food
Everything was great.
Lovely and clean hotel. Staffs were very friendly and make you feel welcome.
Drinks and food were ok. There were enough food choices but a bit basic.
Our stay at this hotel exceeded all our expectations! ❤️ From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and made to feel right at home. The hotel grounds are beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and cleaned every day. The all-inclusive food was absolutely amazing—there was a huge variety of delicious, fresh dishes, and every day we had the chance to try something new. A special thank you to the entire staff for being so kind, attentive, and always willing to help. You truly made our vacation relaxing and unforgettable. The entertainment was fantastic for both adults and children, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was friendly and welcoming. We really didn’t want to leave! Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful holiday and so many beautiful memories. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family! 🌴☀️💙
Just returned from neptuno beach, what an amazing time we had. The staff were very polite and efficient, the hotel is small compared to some, but has everything that you require and immaculately clean and modern, but the best part was the food,we have done a few all inclusive holidays and this was one of the best, lots of options and great quality. I will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone to look at this for a great holiday. I would like to point out that there were a few English people, but mainly Europeans from many different locations, but didn't affect our holiday at all, thank you all the staff at neptun beach 👏👏😁
We are just back from an amazing week at Neptune beach, it was our 3rd visit the first being 20 years ago! The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. We didn’t use the pool but it was well looked after. The room we had 302 was great an amazing sea view. Food was delicious and freshly cooked, The staff at the hotel were welcoming and greeted you every time they met you. The drinks from the bar were good. Entertainment at night was very good and involved all nationalities, Having the beach a few steps away was fantastic and was also very well looked after. Lovely little resort with shops a short walk away. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in when holidaying in Crete. We will definitely return.
Ne-a placut plaja, hotelul, mancarea, personalul foarte dragut
During our stay at the resort, the highlight of our evenings was definitely the 2-hour hotel resident dj party was handling the entertainment, and the DJ was absolutely incredible! Even though it was a short 2-hour set, the music and the energy were top-notch. The DJ knew exactly how to read the international crowd of the hotel, playing a perfect mix that got everyone moving. The sound system and the lighting setup created an amazing party atmosphere right by the pool. It’s rare to find such high-quality professional DJ services inside a hotel program. If you are staying at a venue in Crete that partners with Dj show for their guest events, you are in for a fantastic night!"
Simply the best hotel experience we have ever had in Crete. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single staff member was incredibly kind, professional, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing and made us feel completely relaxed during our holidays. The room, the service, the cleanliness, and the overall experience exceeded all our expectations. You can truly feel that the staff care about the guests and work with passion. A special thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable. We already decided that next year we will come back again. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything!
Grest beach. Lots of wide open space. I lucked out in parking ( but it is Feb). There were families, solo, joggers, bike riders and dog walkers.
Belle surprise! Tout s'est parfaitement déroulé sur place. Confort, calme et alimentation variée.
My wife and I stayed at Neptuno for a second consecutive year, always a risk it’s not the same- this year was wonderful. Arrived early in the morning - great reception with food and drink made available. Next day we needed to change our room - handled so well and without fuss. The beach is one of the best you’ll find, clean, nice beds, space, apart from the sound of the sea surprisingly quiet, and no bed grabbing. Food whether breakfast, lunch or dinner good quality, varied, hot when it needs to be and regularly home cooked and topped up. Pool area lovely though we did not need to use it, nice snacks, especially the cake late afternoon. Hotel and beach is so clean, the staff from front desk, bar, restaurant and house-keeping an absolute credit. Highly recommend- plus 15 minutes from Heraklion airport, bus stop to town less than 5 minutes up the road.
Everything. Good location- right on the beach. Lovely staff, so helpful and always going the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Food was lovely too.
Nothing
If peace and quiet is what your looking for then this is the place for you. With amazing staff , clean rooms and a wide selection of food and drink this truly was a must visit again hotel. The locals are friendly and welcoming, the beach is gorgeous and the staff are always willing to help. Rooms are clean and tidy with cleaning staff coming in daily to restock tea coffee etc. Such a lovely place.
Spent a week here in October 2025. Unless you opt for a superior room, the rooms are dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rooms cleaned daily. Food is plentiful but some odd combinations. Although always fresh and varied. Plenty of drink options. Snacks available as well. Pool is clean but cold. Sunbeds were always available and just metres away is the gorgeous beach, again with plenty of free sunbeds. Would definitely return to Neptuno Beach. Super chilled and relaxing
Locatie foarte buna, pe plaja cu nisip. Multiple facilitati, mancare foarte buna si diversificata. Personal amabil si prietenos. Sigur vom reveni si vom recomanda locatia prietenilor.
We had a terrible experience with construction site outside our window with drills from early morning. It was not possible to sleep at all. We needed to go back and forward and got moved after 2 days of staying in that conditions.
Perfektní, dobře vedený hotel. Personál velmi milý a vstřícný. Pláž před hotelem stále uklizená. Určitě doporučuji.
Place, concept, staff
Our room extremely old and bad equipped. Obviously country origin defines room dedication
Went here in September on a girls trip. This hotel is small but lovely. Never had to wait at the bar or for food. Plenty of sunbeds available. Very clean.Staff really friendly. Animation team are really friendly and make you feel welcome. Pool is small but clean, never crowded so can swim without bumping into anyone. Only 1 toilet for the pool and bar which probably isn't ideal as it can get abit smelly at times, but there are toilets in reception. Food was good and plenty for fussy eaters, cocktails were nice. There were only 5 other English people there when we went which wasn't a problem for us as there was 6 of us.
Excellent hotel, excellent location. Food- amazing, staff cooking it whilst you watch and so helpful cleaning plates and keeping everything clean and tidy. Chefs and Staff working so hard in hot environment. Staff- attentive, friendly and nothing too much trouble, from cleaners, to bar staff, to waiting staff to pool cleaner, shout out to George who was a lovely and made you feel special, so helpful and friendly. Hotel- location beach front hotel, pool lovely. Great family chilled holiday, no complaints here.
This is a beautiful hotel which is situated on a beautiful beach, the food rooms and staff were amazing definitely will return
Tutto perfetto! Cibo, pulizia, posizione fronte spiaggia!! Alla prossima 😍
Tutto! Pulizia , posizione, cibo, tutto ottimo.. struttura fronte spiaggia! Ritornerei!!
Friendly and professional staff. Good organization. Excellent food.
The room did not match the reservation and the balcony door did not lock. I informed reception about this problem, but it was not resolved.
Stayed at the Neptuno beach hotel for 10 days, a lovely hotel with friendly staff! Bright & vibrant atmosphere. Lovely beach view & beach right on your doorstep. The food as a fussy person wasn’t always my favourite however I was catered for when I’d ask for plain rice or fruit such as bananas which made my stay & choices of what to eat bearable! Thank you to the staff for making my stay welcoming. :)
We booked Neptuno Beach for 14 nights back in December 2024 to secure a superior room. This was our honeymoon and birthday vacation. (With my husband we both celebrate birthday in July.) Upon arrival, around 3 PM, we were given a corner room on the ground floor, only one of its kind without balcony/terrace with only one street-view window, more specifically the dirtiest old car parked in the street with obscene pictures on it in the dirt. We were told we can exchange the room the next day after breakfast. Luckily, the next day we really were able to exchange the room around 11 AM. That is when we could finally unpack and start our vacation. We noticed this was a routine, during our stay, several other couples have gone through the same experience. This room should be used as a storage room, not as "superior" room for guests who pay a significant sum for it. Unfortunately, this experience has completely ruined our first impression. Next, I would like to list what we really enjoyed and appreciated: 1. Restaurant staff, cleaning service staff, beach bar and beach staff were all very friendly, hard working (around the clock) and polite. Hotel manager could be seen dining in the hotel restaurant which, I personally consider as a good sign. :) The staff was really well managed and organized. 2. Both lunch and dinner were fantastic, offering a broad variety of choices. We especially appreciated the frequent inclusion of authentic Greek meals, which made the experience feel special. My only small "complaint" is that during our second week, there were no fava beans as I LOVED it. :) 3. Drinks at the bar - I do not understand the negative comments about the drinks, I have not tried all of them, but everything we tried was tasty. Also, people, remember - it is not about getting drunk when you are on vacation. :) 4. Beach and the sea - The sea was beautiful—we just wished the beach was taken care of better to improve the overall experience. Unfortunately, in the late evening and at night, people who were not accommodated in the hotel used the sunbeds as the place to eat take-out and drink beer and they did not bother to clean after themselves. All the remaining rubbish was cleaned around 10 every day but until then, it was not a 4* feeling. I cleaned the beer cans sometimes, but I will not touch unfinished food to throw it away... Now, I would like to list areas of improvement: 1. Reception staff - We found all of them polite, but not very warm, compared to e.g. cleaning/restaurant staff there was notable difference. 2. On your way to the pool area and the beach, you need to walk past the back area of the kitchen, where there is a bit mess outside and bins for food to be thrown away - not the best view to be honest. 3. You cannot really open balcony in the building with superior rooms which is not the part of the main building on days when there are huge rubbish bins prepared to be emptied (terrible smell in the heat) and this was almost daily. 4. One day, around 10:00 PM, we found out our part of the hotel was completely out of tap water. We went to bed early (as the next day we had to leave very early to a trip to Santorini) and just thought it will be resolved quickly. However, at 5 AM in the morning, there was still no tap water which means the toilet will not flush, you cannot wash your hands etc. and we were also out of drinking water by this time. I went to the reception and informed the personnel and asked if they can provide us with bottles of water to flush the toilet etc...we did not want the cleaning staff to find a "surprise" there; he said he knows about the outage and that they do not have any bottles for the guests. Fortunately, toilet and sink behind reception area had the water supply as I learned after asking if they can give me bottled water... so we could have used at least that...but I can tell you it was not very comfortable. I completely understand this can happen, especially on an island, it is not about the fact this happened. It is the attitude of the receptionist/hotel which was disappointing - no water, no proactive help. 5. One day I witnessed nervous breakdown of one staff member at the reception area. I did not feel safe. He was walking towards the small table where they keep jug of water with lemons, fruit and biscuits, with ice to be put into the jug of water. For some reason, suddenly he violently put the containers filled with ice on that wooden table after receptionist told him something, the ice spilled all over the reception area and he marched outside. They were arguing in Greek and after some time, he came back, took a mop from the storage room and started cleaning it while he was still arguing with the receptionist. I was there, waiting for my husband who had to use the toilet and the receptionist completely ignored a guest witnessed that outburst. This should not happen.... While there were areas that need attention, we enjoyed many aspects of our stay, especially the food, the staff around the restaurant and beach, and the wonderful sea. With better care for first impressions, reception, and facilities, this could easily become a place we would love to return to.
This was one of my best vacations in Greece! The journey from the airport to the hotel took no more than 15-20 minutes. The hotel is small and cozy, but clean and well-organized. The food was excellent and constantly replenished, with snails, mussels, shrimp, and calamari, so there was plenty of choice, but you have to like Greek cuisine, and I could have eaten tzatziki all the time. We had a room with a sea view, the toilet was separate from the "bathroom," the shower was huge, the beds were beautiful and soft, I've never slept better anywhere else. The sea was ideal, there were waves, so you could fool around about 200 meters from the shore, there is a rock, but you can normally go into the sea, there is sand there. There is a bus stop near the hotel, and the bus runs about every 15 minutes, which is also very convenient. And now I would like to thank the staff, who made this stay even better. I would especially like to thank the waiters in the restaurant for their daily smiles and good mood (especially waiter Niko). I would also like to thank the animator Galin, who was also very nice, and the activities were even better, and another compliment goes to the gentleman at the pool bar for the good coffee every day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely return.
We were greeted very warmly. We arrived late (after dinner time) and the staff had set some food aside for us so we could enjoy dinner. Very nice gesture! The rooms were pretty accurate to the picture, clean and comfortable. I love that the AC only works if the balcony door was closed. 6/7 days there was options for entertainment for kids and grown ups and you could join if you want or just relax. There are beach and pool sunchairs just for hotel guests.
The only thing I didn´t like is that many people are already reserving their sunchairs in the early morning and only showing up to the pool way later (sometimes a few hours). I think after a certain period of time towls should be removed by staff to make place for other guests. The issue doesn´t happen at the beach sun chairs. So even if you donßt get a space at the pool - there is certainly space at the beach!
Czystość i jakość oraz różnorodność jedzenia, przemiła obsługa. Spokojna okolica, blisko sklepów i przystanku autobusowego

Really nice hotel, on the beach, everything was great : big clean rooms ( the superior ones ) , the food is amazing ( the most tasty food I have ever tried at an all inclusive meal plan ), kids friendly environment . All the staff works very hard all day long to please the quests ( kitchen staff, restaurant waiters and beach bar staff) . They are all very polite . Great job ! Keep on going like that because you do a great job !👏 👏👍 Olivia, Romania
Absolutely terrible vacation experience! Every single day the beach is a complete mess: people occupy multiple sunbeds by leaving towels, blankets, or personal items on them — anything to “reserve” them — while they themselves are either by the pool or not even present. You come to the beach hoping to relax, and there’s simply nowhere to sit or lie down. The worst part is the complete indifference of the hotel staff. Reception does absolutely nothing about complaints from guests. You either get empty promises or are completely ignored. It feels like the management couldn’t care less about guest comfort. This vacation turned into a daily fight for sunbeds, constant frustration, and stress. For the price paid, this is absolutely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely never return!
It was very nice hotel on very big and sandy beach. Food was perfect.
We didn’t like bed and pillows they were very uncomfortable. Bed moves with your every move, and pillows were firm.
We just returned from a 1-week all-inclusive stay at the Neptuno Beach. Family of 4. When I was booking the holiday package for the travel dates that we wanted, only the Family Rooms were available. The Family Room was located on 1st floor just above the reception area. Sometimes it was a bit noisy there, but no drama. The room was a bit small for us especially the bathroom. No bathtub, only shower cabin which was tight. We had a balcony with a partial view of the sea. The bed was comfortable for sleep but could have used extra pillows (only 2 were given per bed). Kids had a bunkbed, and they slept well. With the bunkbed next to our bed we had zero privacy, definitely book a larger room if available. The AC unit was new, efficient, and quiet. The fridge in the room too loud at night, so we unplugged it before sleep. Rooms were clean, in good condition, and the cleaning service did a very good job in maintaining the room. There was a safe in the room for which we had to pay 3 EUR per day to use it. Not common for me to see a fee for a safe, that was a bit annoying. This is a small hotel, which we viewed as a positive, because we did not feel as if it was crowded. There were always lounge chairs available at the pool or the beach. You get 1 large pool for adults and bigger kids, and 1 really small pool for the children below 6 yr old. The pool was never overcrowded as some guests stayed at the beach. The beach was a big plus for the hotel. The lounge chairs and umbrellas were for hotel guests only and at no extra charge. The beach was sandy and clean. We spent the mornings in the sea and afternoons in the pool, and there was never a problem in finding chairs. There is a pool bar, and pool snack area, at the back there is the kids club where you can find a pool table and a ping pong table. There is no spa if you are looking for a massage. There is only one dining area where you get the all-inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner. Food was tasty and Yanis the chef was very helpful. We had no problems in finding something for us and our kids. They try to change up the offerings each day, but some items were constant. The drinks at the bar were OK, they used some fancy machine that did the mixing of cocktails. If you asked for extra shot of spirit, they would do it for you. For me the biggest disappointment was coffee, there also they used a new dispensing machine that made different types of coffee, but they were all instant crap. If you wanted a proper Espresso or Americano you had to pay extra. The crowd control at the dining area was manageable. The staff at this hotel was nice with the exception of 1 person. The lady that served at the pool bar she only smiled if you were a German customer (around 75% of guests were from Germany, the rest of the guests were from Poland, Romania, Czech, France). If you ordered from her in English the smile would disappear, I don't know what was up with her, but other non-German guests I talked to also felt the same about her. Kids club was a bit of a disappointment, but maybe because this is not a hotel with main focus on kids. Normally our kids connect well with the host of the kids club, but this time we felt the connection was missing. It felt like the host only did the minimum she had to do to get the job done. The Bulgarian guy that run the mini disco was good and really tried hard to keep things interesting for all. Would we return here with kids, probably not. Would we return just as a couple, probably yes.
We had a lovely time at this hotel. Food was excellent and varied. The beach is right outside the pool area and we never struggled to get beds although it was very busy. Our room was small but modern and we had a good walk in shower and clean towels every day. Galin and Vanessa, the entertainers, were very good and worked hard to include all the guests. We were only one of two English couples in the two weeks we were there and this was somewhat reflected in the evening music programme, but we did meet some nice people. In all, a lovely clean modern hotel with very good all-inclusive food and drink
The view from our room was very nice
The property advertises all inclusive but they don’t offer actual alcoholic variety. They have this machine at the bar that makes the drinks from syrup and they taste like cheap juice you buy at the grocery store. The morning coffee is the same , no actual coffee .. just a machine making cheap tasting coffee drinks .
Super place if someone likes to rest peacefully. Not too big resort, no queues at meals and at the bar. Pool quite small, but without crowds. Nice sandy beach with a sandy bottom. It is sometimes windy - as it is on the Greek islands. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge by the hotel - both by the pool and on the beach. Unfortunately, in the hotel there is a morning race and occupation of sunbeds - although often later there are no people at them, only towels. Beach towels for a deposit - no problem at all. Bus stop 2 minutes from the hotel. You can easily get to the city center or go to the promenade. Translated with DeepL.com (free version) Room 3/5 We ended up in a refreshed room. New furniture and renovated bathroom, although it would be useful to have a bidet since you can't throw paper in the toilet. Typical Greek standard - no fireworks, but very clean, cleaned daily. Towels also changed practically every day. It would be useful to install a better door, because now you can hear every rustle from the corridor. Food 4/5 Very good and varied food. To my taste, there could be a little more seafood and fruit alone. There was fish every day, but larger shrimp for a week not once. A surprise for me was the lack of nuts or strawberries. Weak snacks between the main meals. Drinks and alcoholic beverages okay. Service 5/5 Service without complaint. Nice reception and bartenders. You will get along with everyone in English. Super animator, who can probably talk in any language :D Surroundings 4/5 Exit from the hotel directly to the super beach. Public, but without crowds. Nice to see it's a place used by locals as well. Close to the center of Heraklion and the airport. Close to kite and kayak base. A little disturbed by smoking tourists, but it can be survived. In the evenings you can take a leisurely stroll or enjoy the view of the island's lights coming on.
I liked the hotel. Clean, tidy. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious and fresh, varied. I wanted more fish and seafood dishes. There were not enough sun umbrellas on the beach, because there were much more vacationers. The alcoholic cocktails are very sweet. Very poor animators, the evening program is completely poor.
Stayed 10 days in June and we can understand why people keep going back. The food is very very good every day plenty of different choices of Hot and cold . You must try things that maybe you have never heard of especialy some of the greek dishes. Our room was very comfortable a superior double room with sea view we were on the front block next to the pool ( not heated) but as the temp was 29 degrees it was just right to cool down and just a mention for Galan entertainment person. very funny and great aqua class . Very nice beach 20 yards from the pool plenty of sun beds as usual people like to place towels on them and as long as you do the same before 9 am you should get them. There is a strong wind though which can make the sea a bit rough. We wish we could mention everyone of the staff who work there , But we can only remember George the the concierge nothing is to much trouble. The staff at reception always helpful as are the cleaners who keep everything so clean and tidy towels changed every day and linen every few days. The Bar is between the Pool and the Beach where they have evening entertainment occasionally . And this is where things fall down. You can smoke where ever you like which makes it hard for non smokers, in this day and age there should be seperate areas set aside. The one other is the wine for a few euros more l am sure the company could provide a wine that doesnt need to be mixed with something to improve the taste. Overall this is a great Hotel Great Value Great Staff, and would definitely go back again.
Food, location, beach
Neck breaking pillows Some minimal cosmetics (earbuds, cotton pads, etc.) would be nice if they were placed in the rooms
We are on the last day of our holiday and we have had a lovely week. The hotel is clean, our room is comfortable and the staff are friendly. The hotel is literally in top of the beach and the pool area is nice. The food has also been very good with lots of choices. The hotel and holiday and exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again!
We wanted a place to relax and the end of our 3 week Greece trip, we spent 5 days here and it was perfect, there was a good selection at the buffet and the beach was nice.
All good
It was all inclusive and the swimming pool was right on the beach.
Staff, food, beach, location, they went the extra mile, safety
The main good thing about this hotel was the staff they’re all very pleasant, professional and welcoming Our room, after an upgrade was gorgeous with great sea and beach views The food was hit n miss, we ate out a few times, one at the restaurant next to hotel which was gorgeous and then we frequently visited Wild Rose Bar at the top corner of the road. Great snacks and proper drinks Beer at hotel watered down and was only served in 1/2 pint glasses with about a third being froth Hotel has its own private beach and sun loungers plenty and free
Pros- clean, excellent food, good choice of cocktails. Beach location and only a short cheap bus ride into Heraklion. Cons- Room outdated and small, bathroom door was a slide open and didnt close properly. Shower didnt work 2 nights in a row and had to wait over an hour on repair. No place to dry towels/swimwear on balcony. Although we enjoyed the food the snack options were pitiful and often dried out leftovers. There is no indoor bar, not ideal if the weather isn't good. Only 2 pool toilets and no toilets inside unless in your room. No professional entertainment, we opted to go for a walk or retire early most evenings. Overall we enjoyed our stay but this hotel is never a 4 star.
There are many good features which I will describe— but for us, the biggest disappointment was food and beverage. After each meal, my party went to eat elsewhere, preferring tastier and different selections so the “all inclusive” was a waste and approved to be a much more expensive than expected trip. Here is more info on the ups and downs. Ups: It’s clean and the rooms are fine. Bathrooms are nice and modern. Bathrobes are provided. Though some reviews complained about the location, we actually liked it. We partly chose this hotel because it is situated right on the beach and there were plenty of lounge chairs available. You can catch hop on hop off bus, not too far away and for €20 a person go all around the city, including Knossos palace for two days. Breakfast buffet is ample and tasty. There were plenty of lounge chairs and seats by the pool. At dinner, the salad bar was always good. When the buffet was open, it was always extremely crowded, but there was a very diligent manager always making sure to try to find people a table and get the tables cleaned quickly. The rooms were cleaned daily. The grounds are kept neat and tidy. Downs; Extremely noisy all the time. One cannot converse at meals because it is a noisy cafeteria like environment rather than dining experience. You hear noise in adjacent rooms, and the halls are extremely loud with loud patrons and children, crying babies, and slamming doors at all hours. We did not appreciate the loud cafeteria type experience at meals because we like to enjoy and chat. We might’ve taken food to go on the beach or elsewhere to enjoy, but they did not discuss options for such a thing. I don’t know if there’s room service —they didn’t mention it. There is no sundry shop. No Concierge to help with plans. As far as I can tell, you can’t buy Coca-Cola type drink anywhere on site. There is a wide variety of food offered at the buffet and many seemed to enjoy it, but the entrees had a sameness to the taste and we did not like them though we tried and tried. Sometimes a bite produced a taste as if the food was cooked in sulfur water and we couldn’t eat it. They do try hard and provide variety but the entree preparation needs a great deal of improvement. They need much better beverage options. There is very limited beer and wine choice. Instead of drinking their free choices I bought one call brand drink and it was very expensive —more so than if you buy it outside the hotel. Instead of fresh juices that you often find in Greece they only have the overly sweet, artificial flavored fake juices. Nothing fresh. instead of the wonderful gelato that you can find almost everywhere in Greece, they serve pretty awful artificial ice cream. They say they have a snack bar by the pool, but we found it to be pretty inedible, it’s actually a tiny buffet of sorts open for a limited time. When we went, we only had a choice of the artificial ice cream, a ham sandwich type thing you can build, and some type of fried cheese balls. You can’t buy anything else. And since the buffet option for inclusive food is open for limited hours, you’re kind of out of luck if you’re hungry like we were when we first arrived, and both buffet and snack bar were closed between meals. The website says there is wrapped food available to go, but there is no description on how to do that. When we asked questions at the front desk, such as what was the timing of the snack bar and what food was there, and what types of drinks were included, we were frequently told to ask the people working at the pool bar, but they did not speak English, and we did not speak Greek. We have not stayed at many all-inclusives, but in general, when we have, we are given a lot of information at check in about what’s available in terms of food, entertainment, attractions in the area, and Fitness. The website made it seem like they were all kinds of activities, but we couldn’t find them, and no information was provided upon check-in. When we asked for info at the front desk, we were told to check the sign by the pool that would supposedly tell us everything, but all the days we were there we couldn’t find any signs by the pool so we didn’t know what was going on in terms of any activities. The only information we got at check in was a little piece of paper showing the times that the one buffet was open. No maps or description of amenities, grounds, programs, etc. There’s no fitness center, but the site boasts of water aerobics and all kinds of activities and yet nobody could tell us what days any of that took place and we could never find anything like that. On the website, the buffet says there are different theme nights, such as Asian, but there were no signs or indications of this when we tried to find out. We didn’t notice any particular themes (but there was always a wide variety of food). Think mid-level cruise line. When we checked in, we went out to the pool and found that it was closed, perhaps due to the red rain that had just come through, but nobody mentioned that to us or explained when it would be open. One of our rooms was fine, but another of our rooms had what looked like black mold in the shower and a smell coming from the toilet, plus the shower water would not always get warm. It felt more like a budget than a luxury hotel. They are stingy with the towels, I didn’t quite get the explanation, but they did tell us upon check-in that we would have to pay for or reserve beach towels with €10 apiece or something. We just didn’t bother. Think “Hampton Inn” type quality. In summary, depending on what you’re looking for, this might be fine for you. If you have a bunch of kids who like artificial ice cream and are happy eating fast and a noisy environment, this would be fine. And they can play on the beach. However, I couldn’t help but think it would not take a whole lot for this property to level up.
Just come back from a stay at the Neptuno Beach Hotel. It's a really lovely place. We were upgraded upon check in and encouraged to go for lunch as the buffet would shut shortly. Really nice buffet even though it was later in the afternoon. Room was basic but extremely clean. It was modern and had everything you could need. Room had a fridge and a hairdryer plus a kettle for convenience. Balcony was lovely. Again, all spotless - I've never seen a room so clean! Pool area and beach lovely. Extremely clean, well staffed and quiet at this time of year (May). I would imagine it's very busy in the summer and school holidays Meals at dinner and breakfast were good. Nice variety. Staff cleared plates and cleaned very quickly. I've never seen harder working staff. Entertainment fine - not really our thing but the traditional cretan dancing on the one evening was lovely. This hotel is great for a slow pace. It's not a party hotel. Staff can't do enough for you. 100m from a beautiful beach and a 10 min bus ride or 1 hour walk to the centre of heraklion. The walk is tough in the heat - take plenty of water.
We had two issues during our stay. Both were sorted out almost immediately so this is just feedback for the hotel to consider moving forward. There is entertainment every night which finishes at 11. This consists of discos, quizzes, music etc. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but the soundproofing in the rooms is non-existent. Our room was 833 overlooking the pool. We didn't need to go to the pool to hear the entertainment as we could hear every word in our room with the patio doors and curtains shut. We could hear our neighbours shutting doors and children crying in our block. This woke my husband up a few times. On our first night I had to call reception because the music was so loud that I couldn't sleep. It was 10:45. The reception turned the music down and were very apologetic. The second incident was the penultimate night of our stay. The entertainment finished at 11 but some other guests turned on their portable speakers and carried on playing music. This went on until well after midnight and I couldn't sleep. I went down to reception (as there was no answer on the phone) and the night manager was extremely helpful. He ensured that the music was turned off. The staff were brilliant sorting out the issues but, as I explained to the night manager, if there was proper soundproofing in the rooms, people could carry on partying for as long as they like! I can't be the only person who had this issue as there were families with young children staying at the hotel Mr and Mrs Wright .
Don't book a standard room. The room we had booked was through easyJet but the rooms shown were very misleading. The standard room was near a central light well meaning it was very cramped and very old fashioned with old dark brown furniture. It was very dark and dingy with a damp smell, more 2 star than 4 star. We upgraded at cost to a superior room, far more modern and roomy and more like a 4 star. It was all inclusive however note this hotel does not have a proper bar or lounge in the main building. The bar is located outside at the other end of the pool so any drinks, even coffee can only be had from the bar. Coffee machines available at breakfast in the dining rooms but only then. I found it awkward with the bar as the weather was bad while we were there so going out in the rain with no shelter just to get a coffee is quite frankly a poor show and a deliberate ploy to limit the drinks they are supplying. On the upside there was rarely a queue and the staff were very good they work long hours and are always on the go and work very hard to make your stay great. It's a shame it's let down by the owners policies. The daytime snacks were not great. Food in the dinner was overall okay but very limited veggie options for my partner and not clearly labelled as such and everything was only just vaguely warm even if you got there early. It was rarely hot. I have been to four other all inclusive resorts and this is hotel is nowhere as good. It is however right on the beach and a good one at that but not much about shops or entertainment wise unless you're prepared to walk a long way. It's not an area I would back too. It's a bit run down in places. Maybe consider the resorts further away like Chania.
We stayed in room 309 and had amazing views across the bay and of the hills from our balcony. We had a week of cloudy days and the view was still spectacular (photos from day 1). The air conditioning unit and ceiling fan were great. Kept us warm on the chilly days and cool on the warmer ones. The bed was very comfortable. The pool area and beach were great. The food overall was good. We particularly enjoyed the Souvlaki on the Sunday. The restaurant staff were fantastic, managing reduced table numbers due to the weather on several days while we were staying. Local bus services to Heraklion and the airport were frequent and reliable from the top of the road, as were the hop on hop off sightseeing bus. Tacos on on first night had what tasted like Chinese vegetables in which neither of us liked. One off meal over 7 days wasn't bad going. We would have like to have seen more greek dishes on the menu. Knowing what entertainment was on each night would have been nice so we could plan when to go to dinner. Guests were smoking on the balcony next to us. As nonsmokers this was off-putting. There was a fire alarm at 11pm one evening to which most guests were unsure if to take seriously. Someone a few rooms from us said this was the third in a week. Maybe this had something to do with smoking in the rooms and the bad weather? Soundproofing of the rooms could be improved. We could hear conversations in the corridor and the lift door being closed. Luckily we are deep sleepers.

Everything was good and up to standard. We enjoyed the entertainment offered by the newly appointed entertainment person, who entertained us with his karaoke nights, sports activities and his overall friendly attitude.
From a Cornish/English view. The hotel is clean all round and the staff are nice and friendly. They work incredibly hard to keep people happy. The pool and bar is outside and pool is a bit small but clean. We opted for a standard room which was clean with a comfortable bed the air conditioning worked fine. As for breakfast and lunch it was quite standard all inclusive food. Unfortunately the evening meal was a real let down, just very boring and repetitive, They seem to cater very well for Germans that seem to be the majority of the guests. The evening entertainment was fairly boring. Getting into Herkalion the capital town is very easy and about 15 minutes bus ride where there's loads of clubs and bars and some good restaurants.
