M Montreal Hostel

We got upgraded so I can't comment on the room we booked but the room we stayed in was very clean and comfy, spacious and with everything we needed for our short stay. The hotel is also very central.

Not having instructions on where the carpark was until check in was done - finding a temporary place to stay in the vicinity on a Saturday night was a nightmare, and the street itself isn't somewhere I'd walk by myself at night - as it is often the case in large cities centres. There are a lot of rules / waivers to sign but it is all common sense. It comes from the hostel part of the place and can seem a bit much from the hotel part, but that was not an issue.

Price really high

Hot tub and kitchen to feel at home for cooking

Cleanliness and location

This was my second time staying at this property and it was lovely. I am not usually a fan of washrooms being in the room but the staff did a great job keeping everything clean. The lady who checked me in was kind enough to offer me a free room upgrade, and the room was so spacious. The M bag with the personal towel and bedsheets was a great addition as well

I honestly can't think of anything

I liked how beautiful and relaxing the environment in the hostel was, the daily activities and socializing with other travelers, and having all the facilities you need, plus a hot tub, which is so dreamy during sunset:)

Generally, nothing to dislike about M Montreal, a great place, clean, staff are super friendly and happy to assist you with anything you need!

I really enjoyed my bunk, the light and the outlet were very nice to have, as well as the storage underneath. (If you want it to be very secure, bring your own lock.) The staff were great, namely Diarmuid and Anaïs, and were very helpful.

The bed was SO uncomfortable, it was as hard as a rock. It was also hard to tell when events would be going on, as I tried to attend one but it had apparently ended within the hour.

It has everything you need. Staff is very nice and the metro is around the corner!

This is place is huge, therefore there is very little atmosphere. So it doesn't feel like a hostel, rather a big hotel. I would pick a smaller hostel next time.

The vibe was great and the amenities were great

Needs more toilets

i loved the facilities and how divided the rooms were

did like that the roof terrace closed early

I like the facilities and amenities

That I had to pay for coffee

Staff and breakfast.

Overpriced.

Everything was great. One of the best hostels I've ever been to. 6-bed female room was perfect

The physical building is nice, the rooms were nice. If I didn't have a car I'd have loved it

Parking is an. Absolute nightmare. The layout of the buildings is a little weird. Reception is in a separate building from the parking and the rooms.

New building with good infrastructure

They copy credit card data and passport as part of checke-in process.

There wasn’t any breakfast included which for the price you pay… it’s a little bit expensive

Fantastic location and room was amazing

Only downside I would mention is the toiletries, if more than one bottle was provided in each white bag, it would reduce the number of bags opened simply to get the toiletries

Clean bathroom, clean rooms, large windows, didn't get time for breakfast. Filter water available to drink 24/7.

No floor mat in the bathroom and near bed. Rest everything was good.

Clean

No parking available , no room service if less than 3 nights

Very friendly staff, lots of commodities, made lots of friends. The rooftop is amazing!

The last couple of days the hot water was not working

All the spaces were very clean and tidy. Bar and game zone was my favorite place.

The terrace and Jacuzzi

I don't have a complaint.

I liked that everything was nice organised and new renovated rooms, quiet and comfortable. 🤩🔥 Staff is nice as well.

Very spacious and clean

Rooms were perfect and clean.

Getting the keys to the 4 rooms I paid for and having the surprise of needing all 13 people to show their ID's and sign. Was ridiculous... it took so much time for all the paperwork that we had to cancel our bachelorette party dinner reservation we had. No other hotel ask for all the ID of every person, usually only the one renting. If I would of known I would of rented elsewhere. It ruined the beggining of our evening.

Hostel is well located, very close to bars, nightclubs, grocery stores, and has easy access to public transportation. Room and facilities are clean, well-structured, and well-maintained (I stayed in a four-bedroom dorm with private washroom). Staff is also very helpful and polite.

Breakfast options.

Rien !

Short walk to Old Town, very clean and spacious room, luggage facilities and breakfast available, very friendly staff

Nothing

Bien

La personne avec nous

I liked the design of the bed and storage locker underneath. The locker was spacious.

The corridor carpet

The staff was very quick and friendly. Messages were responded to promptly. The people at the front desk were great about explaining everything clearly. The room was 6 beds, female only and very clean. Appreciated the cleanliness of the shared washroom inside the room. Location had nice restaurants nearby and was easy to get to the subway easily.

L'accueil

Hot tubs, daily activities, walking distance from city center and old harbour, great, friendly staff, clean, daily housekeeping, free towel

Bar only accepts cash (atm at the property, extra charge for withdrawal)

Pas de diplômacie Aucune solution proposer

,

Everything except the mattress

The mattress was awful.

Always a great stay, 5 years in a row ! location great, hostel amazing and clean, staff really helpful and super friendly

Price during F1 weekend!

I loved the vibe of it everything was nice and a lot of young people my age made it really comfortable with so much clean space.

Nothing

The sleeping quarters were good. Shared space was good.

The jacuzzi was disgusting and the water was cold. Human hair and dead skin littered the water. The other jacuzzi was broken and unusable. The staff was unprofessional at times; one of them got in the jacuzzi and blew his nose in the water when there were multiple other guests in the jacuzzi.

Great vibe in the hostel

Perfect location to walk around Montreal from, astonishingly clean premises and rooms for a hostel, decent and plentiful breakfast at low cost, excellent staff

Les infrastructures, jacuzzi

Le cartier craint, que des drogués…

Newly renovated and modern facilities

The locking system and how in certain times you can’t unlock the doors

The access to a little kitchen and bathroom in the room was a bonus and was really enjoyable

Excellent location, friendly staff, great environment

Nothing bad to say
