Petit déjeuner servit seulement a partir de 7h et nous devions partir a 6h30. Hotel assez vétuste surtout ascenseur et surtout personnel peu accueillant.

L’air climatisé est brisé, il faisait 26 degrés dans la chambre. Aucune possibilité d’ouvrir une fenêtre. Chambre usée et pas tlm propre.

A big shout-out to Ahmed at the reception desk. When I raised a complaint about our room having an unpleasant smell, he took it seriously and handled it with genuine care. Service like that made a real difference to our stay.

Breakfast timing (7–10 am) was fine, but there were a few gaps in how it was run. Boiled eggs were often unavailable at times other guests had taken the full batch for their families and it wasn't refilled. Bread (both white and brown) ran out and wasn't restocked either. It would help if the hotel put up a sign indicating a fair portion limit per guest for the boiled eggs, and made sure staff kept an eye on refilling hot and cold milk for cereal as well as the bread baskets throughout service.

Only good thing about this place was location.

Reception staff were not helpful and with lots of attitude. Pillows were like small sacks of sands. Elevator very old and had wait long time for it. Breakfast was terrible with very few items and with long wait to get the finished items. And they hold a $250 deposit, which is not common and very high for a place that is not close to even 2 stars.

Malgré l’avis du personnel, nous avons trouvé surprenant que la climatisation ne fonctionne pas sur tout un étage. La propreté laisse à désirer et l’insonorisation des chambres est insuffisante. Nous précisons toutefois que le personnel a été très professionnel et que ces problèmes relèvent plutôt de la gestion ou du propriétaire

My AC didn’t work so it was quite hot & my room shared a wall with a boiler room or something because the headboard on my bed was shaking

Very friendly and attentive staff, beautiful hotel, great location! The breakfast buffet is also quite impressive, offering several chinese dishes with a cute description for most of them. The heated toilet seat and bidet are also a great bonus!

When getting into the room, there was a strong scent which was presumably perfume from previous guests. Initially I thought it was something decomposing! However after a while we couldn't notice it and forgot about it.

Convenient location. Close to subway, bus and bike rentals. It’s really what sells the hotel. Great cafés nearby. Fresh towels. Good music in lobby. Fridge and microwave in room.

Air conditioner in room was broken and I wasn’t informed until after I checked in. Breakfast is limited to carbs with no protein options. Coffee was weak. Elevator continues to have issues. I did late checkout through the booking.com email and was charged extra for it upon checkout. Gym was dirty. Foam roller needs to be replaced.

Staff was not helpful when I asked them for directions. Just told me to connect to WiFi and use Google maps. I was confused with the directions (Google Maps) that's why I asked.

Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement qui était pratique et proche du Vieux-Port, Vieux-Montréal, métro à proximité.

Malheureusement, beaucoup d’éléments nous ont fortement déçus. La chambre était sale et humide, tout comme la salle de bain. Nous avons notamment constaté d’importantes taches sur le matelas et sur les draps, des trous dans la moquette, des fenêtres sales ainsi que le papier peint qui se décollait. Un pêle-mêle de câble apparent dans chaque coin de la chambre. L’ensemble donnait une impression générale de manque d’entretien et de vétusté. Le petit-déjeuner était également très décevant pour un établissement présenté comme un 4 étoiles. La vaisselle était en carton et le peu de produits proposés semblaient principalement industriels et de qualité assez basique : bagels, tartines, jus, yaourts et céréales. La présentation du buffet était elle-même peu soignée. Enfin, l’entrée de l’établissement était sombre et peu accueillante, ce qui donnait dès l’arrivée une impression assez particulière et peu adaptée à un hôtel quatre étoiles, avec de la musique très forte du matin au soir, on ne sait pas si nous entrons dans un bar ou dans un hôtel 4*! Pour finir, une cannette de bière vide est restée dans les escaliers tout le long de notre séjour, soit 4 nuits…

Aucun pré paiement requis, paiement prévu sur place la carte ne devait pas être débitée finalement aucun respect des engagements, chambre pas très propre beaucoup de poussière sur les tables de nuit, petit déjeuner très minimaliste

There was no AC and the temperature reached 27°C in the room with kids not able to sleep. The staff was rude about it, didn't want to do anything or even be sorry, and it was not possible to talk to a manager or supervisor.

I genuinely cannot believe how terrible my experience with Empire Suites has been, and at this point, the issue is not even just the money. It is the complete lack of accountability and customer service. I have called this hotel more times than I can count regarding a refund that I am still waiting for. The first person I spoke with was respectful and told me to contact my bank. She also said I would receive a receipt showing that the refund had been processed. I followed exactly what I was told and contacted my bank. My bank confirmed that there is no indication whatsoever of this money being returned or even pending back to my account. Since then, I have repeatedly tried calling the hotel, and getting someone to actually answer has been nearly impossible. I finally reached someone today, and instead of trying to investigate the issue, take my information, check the transaction, or even show the slightest interest in helping, her response was essentially that I should call the manager tomorrow. She then proceeded to question my bank and tell me that other guests do not have these problems with their banks, as though that somehow resolves my missing refund. She even suggested that I could come back to the hotel to check it. I LIVE IN ANOTHER PROVINCE. Am I seriously expected to travel back to the hotel because your staff cannot properly investigate a refund over the phone? What makes this even more frustrating is that she did not ask for my name, reservation information, transaction details, or anything that could have helped her actually look into the situation. There was absolutely no attempt to go the extra mile. Instead, I was questioned about why I had not spoken to the manager already. How exactly am I supposed to know your internal procedures? I am the customer. I contacted the hotel repeatedly and followed the instructions YOUR staff gave me. The conversation eventually became heated, and she hung up on me claiming that I was being disrespectful.

Parking is way too expensive and the breakfast protein options could be improved

The location was nice until it got dark. As the police said, there is a lot of open drug use and alcohol, so you will see weird stuff. But you will be ok.

We checked in around 6 pm. The room had no access to the bathroom. The door was broken and stuck in the closed position. The maintenance man came to fix it, so we went out for a walk and dinner. When we returned at 9 pm, we went past the front desk with no acknowledgement of the issue. When we got back to the 7th floor, the door was not fixed. We went to the front desk and were told that we would have to use the bathrooms in the basement/Breakfast area. So, we were told that if we had to use the restroom in the middle of the night, we would have to leave our room and travel down 8 floors to use a public restroom. And that we would not have a shower until it was fixed. I offered to fix the door for free; the young woman told me I would be charged for breaking the door if I fixed it. The young woman at the desk turned and walked away. We packed our bags and went to the front desk to check out. The young man at the desk told us we would not get a refund for the first day, during which we were in the room for all of 30 min. The young man was very dismissive of my wife. Waving his hand at her as if my wife was beneath him. It was let go; being in a foreign country on vacation, we left.

Stationnement cher, à côté, il y a un autocar garage I lot voyager le stationnement du jour est de 18$. M"a manqué une petite frigo dans ma chambre.

They cancelled my due to air conditioner was not working but till now I haven’t receive my refund.

Nous nous sommes présentés avec les enfants et la réceptionniste était très arrogante! Ça prenait un dépôt et elle refusait les modes de paiement proposés. J’ai demandé à aller à la salle de bain et les deux salles de bain étaient insalubres avec une odeur d’urine très forte et pleine d’urine sur le bol. Bref, c’était très compliqué et nous avons décidé de demander annulation. On a pris entente et on a annulé sans problème et 2 jours après nous recevons un avis comme quoi nous n’avons pas honoré la chambre ! Ce ne sont pas des gens de confiance!!!!

Na recepção chegamos de noite e tinha algo no chão ao lado balcão parecido com vômito ou algum líquido que foi derrubado lá e no outro dia no checkout ainda continuava lá , no café da manhã pouca proteína disponível para consumo porém bolo e pães maravilhosos

Quizás un poco más de amabilidad del personal. Lugar estaba ok. El precio demasiado alto para el lugar, pero puede haber sido el contexto de fin de semana muy ocupado en Montreal (Festival + Master 1000)

The location was great- nice and close to St. Catherine's street. The parking was convenient and safe. The Price was affordable. The style/decor was modern and pleasant. We were a little late checking out and there was no pressure to hurry up and leave.

The front desk was understaffed and took a long time to check out and in. Long lines. The pillows were uncomfortable.

En arrivant, à 16h11, on me dit que je dois aller dans un autre hôtel car il fait trop chaud dans ma chambre . J'ai demandé de la visiter. On m'a répondu qu'elle n'était pas prête. J'ai insisté. Nous avons vu la chmabre et non seulement elle était prête mais il n'y avait pas de problème de chauffage.

A t on essayé de m'envoyer ailleurs pour louer à plus fort prix ma chambre que j'avais eue à 110$ sur un site de voyages?

1. The staff are kind and welcoming. 2. The hotel is clean, and the hallways smell fresh and pleasant. 3. The bathroom is clean and well-maintained. 4. The hotel has a nice ambiance, although I found the lobby lounge a little dim.

1. I found the parking fee too expensive, especially considering how small the parking spaces are. 2. There was no refrigerator in the room. 3. The elevator was a bit unsettling to use. 4. The lobby/lounge could use better lighting, as it feels quite dim.

Room 626 worst experience, no air conditioning, temperature of room was 25degree, not easy to stay, no vent in washroom.

La salle du petit déjeuner : les chaises ne sont pas descendues à notre arrivée, les clients le font au fur et à mesure de leur arrivée. Salle mal nettoyées, sol sale, les couverts salis sont déposés dans des pots à même le sol ! "

C'était bruyant pas dormi de la nuit les 3 adultes. La ventilation grichait fort nous avons du le fermer il faisait chaud dans la chambre. Les gens en haut ont faut du bruit tout la nuit. Ont pouvaient voir que la chambre avait subi un dégâts d'eau auparavant tapisserie décollé, mur fendu, cerne au plafond. Les oreillés étaient aucunement confortable tous avons eux besoin de tylenol pour douleur dans le cou.

I like the fact that it’s downtown and it’s an alternative that is economical on the pocket

What I didn’t like was the old furniture and Carpet that’s in the room. I think they could modernise it a little bit, but the bathroom was amazing.
