Breakfast was good, but we didn’t expect to wait that long.

We loved the design , the cleanliness , the style and the vibe . The staff were brilliant and exceedingly attentive . Couldn’t fault it but nor would we want to !

Good location, quite central and convenient to visit various places in the Peak District, including Buxton and Bakewell. The hotel is modern and nice, with spacious rooms. Breakfast was great with lots of options, and there is a huge car park. Staff were polite and attentive, we loved our stay.

The on-site restaurants were closed on Sunday, which meant we couldn't order any room service on a Sunday evening when we didn't fancy going out. Only one of the lifts was operational. Although this wasn't a major issue, it meant that we had to wait a few minutes everytime we had to use the lifts

First class hotel a few minutes from the centre of town. Our room on the second floor was spacious, well equipped clean and modern. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with fantastic steak selection. The bar, where you can also order food, has a fantastic ambience with attentive and professional staff. During our stay, there was an artist playing in the bar called Jay Rar who was absolutely brilliant. The hotel has easy access and although close to a dual carriageway, we found there was no issue with noise. Overall, we found the hotel was good value for money, with attentive and professional staff and I would be more than happy to highly recommend a stay here

The layout and facilties were really nice.

I went to the Barca Bar for lunch and to wind down after collecting my new car from a local dealer. The two course meal and soft drink were delicious. The staff in the bar (particularly Lani) were friendly, pleasant and professional.

Lovely rooms with all facilities. Fresh milk and water in fridge much appreciated. My requests for a shower and a room near the lift were acted upon .

First dinner a bit disappointing. Chateaubriand not very tender and friend who joined us for dinner had had a better one previously at the Casa. No toilets near reception was surprising.

Lovely location and lovely hotel. The rooms were great and very comfy beds. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Menus were very meat focused and nothing for vegans.

I love this hotel for easy travel, parking and a clean comfortable room.

The business lounge could be improved as its a chargeable extra. Not very comfortable for a full day and not enough access to power sockets for laptops.

The Staff were so polite, helpful and patient and the house keepers were very efficient. The ambience, service and food in the first floor restaurant were refreshingly superb.

Stayed here many times before and was really looking forward to a good deli selection for breakfast. Sadly no longer. Fresh fruit selection was very limited. The cooked food was very nice.

I was attending wedding, the location was great, room well set out, staff were excellent and the food was lovely.

The bedroom was a good size and the air conditioning was a life saver due to the extreme heat. However it did look tired in some places and in need of refreshed decoration.

Had a very comfortable stay, the staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient. The rooms were of an exceptional standard, and the breakfast was sensational. Would stay here again.

Hotel is well presented and clean. Good size car park (no extra charge). Friendly and helpful staff. Junior suite was large, well equipped, comfortable, and had a big balcony (which was in the sun all day). Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Some noise from busy main road.

The location is central, parking is free. I attended a family wedding at Stretton Manor, they recommended the venue so I booked a year in advance for 2 adults. On the day of the booking I had to leave an adult at home and brought my 9 year old child instead. We arrived late, around 11pm after a full day at the wedding and the reception staff was talking about extra charges because of the child and an extra bed in the room. I never asked for an extra bed given the booking was for 2 adults originally, I did forget with the long day of wedding activities to inform them of the change to 1 adult and a child, I also didnt feel this would be an issue given its a child. After I said I did not need the extra bed he then said about breakfast, I explained I pre paid for 2 adults for breakfast, the only loser is me given I now have a child instead. It was upsetting and gave me a bad taste at the beginning of the stay that they were trying to add extra charges. It wasnt a cheap hotel stay in the first place and is something I would expect from a budget hotel!!. The rooms are lovely, spacious, the shower was lovely. The breakfast is buffet with lots of choice. Overall a nice stay.

What wonderful young staff. So polite and professional. I’d actually felt younger people today were not like this. I feel inspired again. Great people. We stayed in a Suite with Sauna and Hot Tub. Yes, was expensive but you get what you pay for. Wonderful. The young Staff, though? Congratulations 👏🏻

The rooms were very well equipped with everything you need. We only stayed 1 night due to other booked accommodation not being up to standard we booked this last minute and arrived and checked in within 20/30 minutes the whole process was very simple. The breakfast was perfect options to suit everyone and all fresh products cooked well with extras also cooked fresh to order. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wished it was longer. All staff we encountered were all extremely welcoming, polite and friendly.

We found nothing to dislike.

It was an easy and relaxed short stay. Booking was trouble free and the room was quiet, very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was one of the best and I didn’t feel rushed to leave. I’d book again if I’m in the area.

The hotel looks really modern and clean. The in room amenities are really nice, we like the touch of the fresh small bottle of milk for tea and coffee. The beds were super comfy. They set up the fold out bed for our son and set it all up. The bar downstairs had nice food and breakfast was really good. The reception staff were super welcoming as were the staff in the bar and the restaurant. Great value for money. The location is ideal.

The chair in the room had bodily fluid stains on. Room 218. Dust behind the coffee machine. Only get one nespresso pod 😂 I get why they do it though can buy more from reception for a £1 but for longer stays be better going to Asda and buying a box.

It may seem odd to find a Spanish-themed modern hotel in Derbyshire.. Doesn't matter, on a long drive from the North East to London the Casa in Chesterfield makes a really great stop off. Rooms are attractively designed, very comfortable and well equipped, and staff are bright, friendly and responsive. The main restaurant and Barça bar are both stylish and, again, as comfortable as you could wish, and dinner and breakfast were both excellent. A great asset.

We were so impressed with the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. The quality of the room was excellent. It was spacious, clean and had coffee and tea facilities in the room, along with a mini fridge with fresh milk which was a lovely touch. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable and towels lovely and fluffy! Fabulous bathroom and proper shower. All staff were very friendly. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold food and certainly plentiful! We had a fantastic stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back when we are in the area again! I'm staying at this hotel for 4 weeks Mon-Fri for work and have to say it is a great hotel & fully deserves their 4 star rating. All the staff are friendly & helpful from the management team to the housekeepers. I ate twice in the Cocina Restaurant & twice in the Barça Bar Mon-Thur in the restaurant they have an amazing offer of tapas & a side or main & a side for only £25pp. I took advantage of this for one of the meals and had the Walton Lodge Burger & beer battered onion rings which was delicious. The second meal I had in there was the 8oz Rump which was cooked exactly how I asked. The gym is relatively small but has some free weights and cardio equipment, it is well air conditioned and offer free bottles of mineral water. I can say my only issue is the hefty price of £7.20 for a pint of Guinness (my fav tipple) but you have to expect that from a 4 star hotel I suppose. The room is bigger than expected and the bathroom is well lit and the shower is amazing. Free Wi-Fi in the room and the bandwidth was sufficient for my needs. The TV also has smart apps like Netflix & Prime which you can log into your own accounts and use. Looking forward to going back on Mon for what I can only assume is the same fantastic weeks stay.

Great location for the work I was doing. The breakfasts were some of the best I've had in hotels comparing to Hilton, Radisson, Marriott all over Europe. Would definitely stay here again (and am doing)

We booked this, last minute, for shopping at Meadowhall, never been here before and what a wonderful hotel, the staff are so welcoming, chatty, and friendly. The hotel itself is perfection, nothing could be improved. Breakfast was amazing, room was beautiful. The whole experience was flawless. I wish we could have stayed longer

We did notice a woman smoking in the outdoor 'non smoking area' nobody notice but we could smell the smoke. She was not asked to move, she was just lucky, but this should be policed more.

The bar Draught drinks are as very poor

Due to the noise coming from the room adjoining mine which persisted each evening for 3 nights I hardly slept a wink. I reported my concerns to the night manager on the second night - despite this the noise continued until 1am. It continued the following evening. Management failed to reach out to me to explain how they attempted to resolve the matter. On check out I was advised that should I choose to stay at Casa in the future that I would be upgraded to a junior suite for 1 night. I need to stay in Chesterfield for a further 9 weeks and have managed to source alternative accommodation in the area. I won’t be a returning guest. If hotels are prepared to tolerate unruly behaviour from guests then don’t expect decent people to choose to stay on your premises.

We have not been here for quite a while but it was still very good. The room was lovely and the staff very friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit 🥰

Air conditioning can only be set by contact with the reception. That was fine but I don’t think it worked so well.

En route from N.Y.Dales back home we decided to break the journey, stay, eat and watch the England game. Well, we couldnt have been happier ! Cool air con, nice drinks, great tapas and fabulous staff. Highly likely we will do the same again. Bee bop a loo la (one for the A.I response to ponder perhaps?)
