Breakfast was just great.

Had meal in the restaurant on the first night of my stay and had Gammon. it was the most tender gammon I'd ever had!

The paint work in the bathroom was a little tired and the shower hose leaked quite badly. That really does need to be fixed. Would request room 9 next time i stay as room 7 was over the kitchen and i heard the breakfast cook arrive in her car at 6am every morning.

Breakfast was best part

Its a very run down place from entering to bedroom . Room bed matress was old springs in bed woke up with sore legs and back . We had food rearurant in evening was shocked at size of portions very small for price overall ok would not rexommend as bed it terrible rroom no 8

Comfortable room and the food was very good + plenty of parking space.

Charging our bill to another room and some confusion after we had left the hotel about what had been paid / not paid. I was eventually sorted OK.

Great place to stay when travelling for work - very friendly staff and excellent food and drink!

Everything. Very quiet country location with fabulous views. Loved the beer garden and the old bowling green. We were in one of the cottages which was lovely. Well equipped with coffee, large comfortable bed and great shower. We ate dinner and the food was delicious . Husband said best fish and chips he’s ever had! Fantastic brekkie. Friendly staff.

Excellent breakfast with unusual choices, plus they will alter menu to suite. Quiet rooms due to it being very rural with fresh cafetiere coffee.

Very friendly staff always smiling and keen to help . The room was quiet at the back of the building and the bed very comfortable. The bramley soap etc was good. We were given a small flask of fresh milk for tea in the room and water was provided. Dinner was delicious and well cooked. Also not overpriced. We had a most enjoyable evening.

Loved the character and history of this old coaching inn. The staff were excellent and the food and drink we had were also very good.

Breakfast not great, everything quite dry. Would like to be offered orange juice with the breakfast. Bacon far too crispy, tomato was flavourless.

Excellent staff and location.

Breakfast was a let down ( the toast for both of us was burned). Last orders of 20:30 on a Sunday was an unwelcome surprise, we are not in WW2 anymore.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. It was good to be provided with fresh milk for teas and coffee in the room. The room was clean. Shower worked well. A fan was provided in the room which was great for the hot weather, although on the downside it only moved the hot air around as it had no cooling function and was noisy.

It would have been helpful to have had better adhesive strips or mat in the shower or hand grab to assist getting out. The stairs to the room were a little steep and sloped as you find in old properties meaning extra care had to be taken. Connection to free WiFi required providing extra personal data, so we did not bother and did without.

This is the second time I have stayed here, it's old and charming and out in the countryside. The staff are warm and friendly, it's more of an eatery rather than a drinking hole. Breakfast was excellent very filling, the room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Parking the motorbike was safe around to the rear of the Inn.

The bottle of wine I ordered was on the high end price side to what I'am accustomed too around that area and when I recieved the bottle it had already been corked. The Lager was ok but not cold enough for me, I like mine chilled, it could of been a lot colder (2°) The meal was ok but disappointing, I asked for fish and chips with minted pea's, this fish was a bit on the small side, the pea's came in a very small ramekin all mushed up, not what I expecting.

Unresponsive staff. Small, extremely stuffy room. Didn't provide a proper size fan- couldn't sleep. Very poor value for cost

Lovely old pub surrounded by fields. They have a variety of regular events including cinema nights! The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is fabulous and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I was especially pleased to find that there was an iron provided, because I found that my shirt had become very creased in the suitcase.

Its not the venues fault, we just visited in the heatwave, so that made our stay quite uncomfortable.

Had dinner and it was lovely. Issue with one of the meals was delt wish extremely efficiently. Breakfast was included and was again 1st class. Service throughout our stay was polite and efficient. Downloaded the app to get discounts next time I visit.

This was an overnight stop on our journey home from holiday in Devon On arrival staff were very welcoming, the room which was in one of the cottages was very clean and had everything we needed, hairdryer, tea making facilities, iron, fan. just one thing which would have made the room better would have been a fridge as it was very hot the day we arrived and would have liked to put some water in but we had a plug in cool box so wasnt much of a problem. We had a meal on the arrival evening which we had outside as it was a lovely night it was very nice and the breakfast was lovely too. The staff are all very friendly. We will definitely stay again

Lovely location , beautiful views , we had been to RHS flower festival so easy to get to from there. Bed comfortable.

The place is in a lovely setting, the bar and restaurant are quaint and comfortable. The evening meal was a reasonable price and the food quality was great. Loads of selection for breakfast and all the staff were great

The staff were excellent as was the food, the Inn was very clean and well located but the furnishings and decor we felt were a bit tired .

Had little sleep due to the extremely hard pillows. Asked for a quiet room and was put next to a corridor door which slammed shut exceptionally loud. Breakfast food 7/10. Had not been asked if we had mobility issues but needed to clamber over a bath for the shower. Stairs a little dodgy too

Beautiful building in a great location. Greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room. Room was great, much more spacious than anticipated with everything we needed. There was lots of choice for breakfast, all freshly cooked to order and more than enough to keep you going until lunch. Would definitely recommend, and will be staying again when in the area.
