The room was great value for money, a good size & very comfortable. Have stayed here many times & will be back. There was no reception available when we stayed but great communication how to get key & check in.

No shower pressure, shower rose too low to stand under. Noisy heat pump and had to ask for more blankets. Was told to run the heat pump all night. Fridge froze all our food in the first night and setting was on 1. Cheap toaster jug and microwave - no cooktop or oven.

Our unit was clean tidy, spacious and comfortable. Good value for money. Good location not too far from either the CBD or back to the main road. The new sign was colourful and bright and helped us to find them. The heat pump worked well at keeping the unit toasty. Beds were comfy.

Apart from the new signage, the outside needs a bit of a spruce up it looks a bit tired. We had a toddler who was in need of milk for his bedtime bottle and we were only given 8 small milk pods which maybe had about 5-10ml tops in each but we made it work.

Had a second room. Good for 2 single people.

The facilities were great, totally self contained, there was plenty of parking, it is close to SH50, staff were courteous and arranged for me to get my room key after hours.

We have stayed at Spanish Lady Motel once before. It has had a bit of a makeover since we last stayed. It had everything we needed and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Shower pressure could be better and there was a drought coming thru the window where the bed was placed.

Hot water weak. Hard to get a good hot shower.

The location was ideal for the trip we had,easy access to the main road,shopping centre were easy to find.The room itself was so cosy an warm love the stay definitely be back.

This is first time we have booked a room at a motel and not received what we had booked. I always book room with extra beds for just 2 people as we have kids scattered throughout country and sometimes we travel together so normally book a room for 2 than pay extra as family arrive. This save the convenience of having to take the risk of not being able to book extra rooms. We were given the option to move rooms but still wasn’t the room I had booked. The rooms are very outdated and there were holes in walls. Curtains were pinned up with staples.

The reception lady was very lovely, friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed in looked to be recently refurbished, beautiful white walls. Bedding was comfortable and warm, and kitchen had everything I needed. Love that dishwashing liquid was provided, first time I’ve come across a motel that provides this.

Wifi wasn’t the greatest for the room smart tv streaming apps. Bin provided was very small. Heat pump wasn’t the greatest. The biggest issue was condensation on all the windows, however everything else was lovely.

Good enough to accommodate my whole family and friends.

Cheap and cheerful, cheap price.

Place was quiet the first night, second night pretty packed. Lots of drunk and rowdy guests yelling until 2am in the carpark keeping everyone up. Never stayed anywhere before where management didn't come out and ask them to be quiet.

Affordable and comfortable. Nice pool. Customer service was fast and excellent. Fridge was lovely and cold - chilled our food and drinks well on hot day. It had everything we needed. Central to all the places we needed access to quickly and lovely clean swimming pool. The information book in motel room was well written and I liked that it acknowledged mana whenua and our iwi - first time we’ve ever seen this done in a motel book - awesome!

A little outdated but it was affordable and comfortable and super clean.

Its was a very lovely room and very clean, and staff gave very clear instructions as I checked in after hours.

Place could do with a bit of work, mostly cosmetic so no real bother, considering the cost of other properties

Lily and her partner are doing a good job renovating the motel that they have only recently purchased. The carpets are new, the beds are very good quality and comfortable and the furniture in the lounge/dining areas appeared to be new as well.

Napier is very busy at Art Deco, the 1930s festival, time so slightly higher prices and heavier traffic are to be expected.

Had paint chipping off ceiling, mould in shower and along window sill , stains on carpet, staff friendly, wouldnt mind a refund due to the run down of facilities

Value for Money without compromising on service and a very tidy/clean space. We were very lucky to get a whole family night booking both large units together. Plenty of towels and space for everyone to co-habit and sleep comfortably. It was very hot but well appointed heat pumps were available to take the heat off nicely.
