Good location, very comfortable and exceptionally clean room. Delicious breakfast served by friendly and attentive hosts , would definitely recommend this place.

Wouldn’t be able to bring the less mobile members of the family here due to the steep incline from the waterfront to the accommodation.

Location was fabulous, near to the little township and a short walk to what we came to see. Handy to bus stop to get us too and from the train station. Definitely will be back!!

Received a warm welcome. Pre order breakfast forms are used and need to be handed in before you retire each night. Cereal and/or cooked breakfast offerings with choice of juice and tea/coffee. The room is very clean.

The room is very small which wasn't too much of a problem as we were basically only there to sleep and were out all day and evening. However, the bathroom is way too small. There isn't enough room to dry yourself after a shower so had to come out of the bathroom into the bedroom to be able to dry off. Only one hand towel and two bath towels for two people to use.

Hosts were fantastic and always happy to help, spotlessly clean and a delicious breakfast.

The whole property had a really relaxed feel to it , we stayed in the cottage suite which is a little building on it’s own , which was clean , modern and cosy , the bathroom was fabulous with the spa bath which was very relaxing , they is a good sized fridge , kettle and tea, coffee , sugar , milk and even hot chocolate ,the breakfast is a must to , very nice , Angela and Gregg were so welcoming and always made sure we had a lovely breakfast and always asked if we wanted more toast , juice and tea , all in all we really enjoyed our stay at The Westbourne and would definatley stay there again when we return to the lakes .

We had a wonderful stay! The location couldn't be better, and the free parking was a huge bonus. A special shoutout to the fantastic team for letting us check in a bit early. As someone who is very particular about cleanliness, I was thrilled to find the bathroom completely immaculate.

A mini fridge/freezer and an iron would have pushed this to a solid 10/10!

We stayed in The Cottage for 2 nights. Absolutely superb accommodation, we loved the upstairs seating/lounge area, which has a bed settee if required. The whole place is fitted to a high standard, very quiet and cosy. Very friendly hosts. The location is excellent for Windermere and Bowness ,easily walkable. A wonder stay in excellent accommodation, we will be back. Many thanks.

The hotel was in a good location and the breakfast was excellent the owners were very friendly. It was really hot and the owners put a fan in our room.

Set back off the main road which meant peace and quiet but still within a very short walk to the main part of town. Beautiful character property. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good!

Quiet location that was only ten minutes walk from lake and town centre, also close to Windermere Town centre about twenty minutes walk. Top notch breakfast, lovely guest house with staff to match, no issues at all, we would and probably will use the Westbourne again.

The hotel was in an excellent location. We arrived to a lovely friendly reception. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was excellent and I liked that you could order your breakfast the day before and everything was freshly cooked. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again and Angela and Greg are lovely hosts.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, tea and coffee not very nice and cold. Bathroom uncomfortably small. More milk for a drink in bedroom would have been nice, only enough for a cup of tea or coffee each. Decor very tired.

Bed was too big, waist height had to roll into bed couldn’t get onto it. But as a small room bags went under the bed. Bathroom to compact.

Super B&B in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from the town of Bowness-on-Windermere and lakeside. Our room (6) was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our 2-night stay. Great bed, linen and towels, and spotlessly clean. Particularly liked the window seat, with views to the fells on the other side of the lake. Breakfast was really tasty and the perfect start for a day of walking. Greg and Angela were lovely hosts, with lots of useful information to help us enjoy our visit. Thanks guys - it was great to meet you.

A truly beautiful place. The location is peaceful, the welcome is warm and friendly, and the service is excellent. We are regular visitors to the area and usually come two or three times a year. On every previous visit, the weather has been wonderful. This was the first time we were surprised by such changeable weather, and we ended up spending most of our holiday in the room. However, thanks to the comfort and warmth of the place, we hardly noticed the bad weather. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We will most certainly be back again soon.

The breakfast was lovely. The location was good we could walk into windermere where there were lots of shops bars and restaurants. On the day of check out we were allowed to leave out car on there car park which allowed us to go on a boat trip around windermere lake. We would stay there again.

The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the local area. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of delicious options each morning.

The only minor issue during our stay was that the TV signal was not always very good, which occasionally affected the picture quality. Aside from this, we were very happy with the property and our overall experience.

The Westbourne was a great B&B to stay in at Boweness-on-Windmere. It was a fabulous location, only short walk to the lake. The owners were lovely and the breakfast on offer was great. Room and facilities were comfortable and clean. All in all, I highly recommend if you're staying in Boweness.

Tiny bathroom, very small room with no room for suitcases, no elevator, long corridor with a weird step in the middle, difficult to haul luggage, breakfast without any cheeses or vegetables or fruits.

Third stay here. Had a small double this time. Room to swing a cat comes to mind, but more than adequate for a one night stay. The staff team were fantastic and the English breakfast was beautiful. Tea could have been hotter but acceptable. The location is perfect and parking is ideal, especially with the property accepting parking prior to booking in time. Recommending to others would be an absolute yes.

This is my third stay at the Westbourne. The location is ideal for exploring the Lakes and walking into Bowness. Rooms are clean, comfortable and the communal lounge is perfect to relax in. The owners are always welcoming, and serve a delicious breakfast.

As soon as I arrived I felt totally at home.The bed was probably better than my own. In room beverages replenished every morning. Food excellent and cooked to perfection. I have discussed with my wife regarding a future visit to 'The glenbourne'......high praise indeed.
