Clean room

The owner greeted us as we arrived and talked us through everything in the room and how to access the property late in the evening. She offered us recommendations in the area and was there in the morning as we checked out. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell that they take great pride in the property and rooms! Also a fantastic location for exploring Bowness and Lake Windermere which was a very short walk away.

Short walk uphill to lodge, quite testing but this was only an issue for ourselves, age being a contributory problem. We did request a chair for our room which was supplied

Host was lovely. Position is great only being a few mins from the town. Comfortable rooms with a nice coffee Machine and a good price for the area.

Noisy!! You can hear everything in the other rooms. Was woken as people came in and when people got up! Listening to people in their bathrooms at 5 in the morning is not restful! The rooms are clean but a bit tired. Really could do with some redecorating and bathroom updates.

Our Host, Sandra was exceptionally welcome and full of useful advice of where to eat and where to go. Advice which we took and we're glad of. It was the little touches that pleased with. I left a bottle of wine in after the first night and when we came back after our day out, there was wine glasses added to the tray.

Nothing to dislike it was all good and restful, just what we needed.

Everything! Sandra & partner were very welcoming & informative. So friendly & made sure we were very at home. Room was lovely with a superb view. Hotel short walk from Bowness lake. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Fantastic location. Amazing staff, made our stay special.

Not the hotels fault but the bin men arriving at 6am and then returning an hour later with a vehicle that continued to say vehicle reversing was not the alarm clock I was hoping for. 🤣

Lovely accommodation. Very clean and Sandra and her husband were very friendly and informative. The room was a great size and very clean and a lovely comfy bed. Only a about 5 mins walk to the harbour and the centre making it an ideal location.

Only thing that could have been better was if the driveway had a light as we found it very dark when coming back after a few drinks at the local pubs which is easily remedied. Other than that it was lovely

Every thing met my expectations

Great location and exceptionally clean. Sandra was incredibly helpful throughout our stay and provided us with lots of useful tips and recommendations. She also recommended an excellent physiotherapist who was able to help a family member, which we really appreciated. Our daughter accidentally left her hair straighteners behind, and Sandra kindly went out of her way to post them back to us. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Sandra and her accommodation. We would happily stay again!

Perfect location within walking distance to lake and Bowness. Lovely spacious clean room very comfy with a gorgeous view. Everything we needed had a lovely few days. Sandra was very helpful and gave us lots of information on where to go. Definitely will go back and I would highly recommend it

Nice guest house and not far from the lake or shops. Had a nice room with view and had a fridge in room on ground floor, and Sandra very helpful and knowledgeable and handy for boats and buses.

Would be handy if had breakfast or at least say cereal and yoghurt in the fridge, whereas it's tea, coffee and biscuits, the fridge was very handy being a heatwave and there's a coffee machine. They used to have breakfast reading the earlier reviews!

Sandra nice and friendly and helpful, though in my case have stayed in Bowness for many years so know the area, nice big room and view and liked having a fridge in room.

Was expecting to see the hanging baskets they have on the website but wasn't any. And the property doesn't serve breakfast though I did know that, but maybe some cereal, and a yoghurt in the fridge would be a good idea rather than just biscuits, tea and coffee. Is a bit of a walk from Bowness pier for guests not arriving by car, just with it being hot and uphill from pier, then uphill to hotel and carrying luggage, ok for going downhill!

Ubicación perfecta, a 5 minutos a pie del muelle, dentro de un lugar maravilloso y retirado de la carretera. Habitación muy grande, cómoda, con mini nevera, limpieza +++ Nos enamoramos de este lugar, nuestra niña de 6 años lo pasó genial.

Ruidosa, se escucha mucho ruido de cisternas de madrugada y las voces y pasos de las personas en otras habitaciones.

The owners of the guest house were wonderful. Very helpful, with ample local knowledge and suggestions for places to visit and cafes/restaurants to eat at. The location is very close to the center of Bowness.

The shower door was broken and the shower was very weak

So helpful nothing too much trouble. The views were amazing would love to wake up every day to that view, it was very quiet even though it’s near the centre

Loved everything

Sandra and staff were lovely and super helpful. They really looked after us and told us lots of information and even helped me to park the car 🤣. We had an amazing few days away and will definitely be back soon!

Could do with a few bits of cutlery in the room in case guests need to bring snacks back. However, Sandra gave us cutlery straight away when asked. Most people won't need to bring food back to the room though!

The check in was simple with good communication from Sandra before arrival. When we did arrive we met Sandra and had a good chat about local places to eat and places to go. Very helpful.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

The only downside was that the room became very warm, especially at night. Air conditioning would make a big difference and improve the comfort of guests during warmer weather.

Myself, my daughter and my friend had a great stay at Lingwood Lodge. The room was comfortable, lovely and clean with a gorgeous view. Outside, there was a shared patio area which you can sit out on, on a summer's evening and enjoy the scenery in peace. The location is also amazing! It's literally a 5 minutes walk to the shops, pubs and lake ideal for families. The host Sandra is SO helpful, friendly and welcoming! She made our stay even more delightful with her tips and recommendations of where to go and visit while staying there. Her love for the lakes really does show. It's safe to say that we will definitely be back, so thank you 🩷

What a lovely place clean tidy and friendly and walking distance

We were a family group and stayed at the Lingwood for one night. The rooms were spotless and had great tea/ coffee facilities and the family rooms were very spacious. The beds were super comfy and Sandra was extremely welcoming and helpful. The Lingwood is in an excellent location and only a short walk into Bowness. We were also able to use the tables on the patio for both lunch and breakfast. Sandra phoned ahead of us arriving and let us use the car parking early, which saved us having to pay for parking. Thank you so much for your hospitality Sandra, we had a lovely stay and would love to return.

This is a room only accommodation and therefore there are no kitchen facilities.

Can’t fault it. Myself and my wife stayed for 2 nights. Everything was perfect. Room had everything we needed. Hotel location is so good for the Shops, Restaurant’s, Bars and Lake. Parked at Lingwood Lodge Friday afternoon and didn’t move the car again until, Sunday when we left. Perfect!! Sandra was a fantastic Host, so helpful and a wealth of knowledge. Great value for money.

Room size, cleanliness and view

Lovely guest house, close to the lake and town centre yet just far away for it to be nice & quiet. Parking onsite which is a bonus. Very comfy bed, shame we could only stay one night! Sandra was exceptional, very friendly, welcoming and helpful with places to visit and eat. Great communication too prior to visit, responded very quickly to any queries we had. Nice little terrace at the front to enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine overlooking the garden. We hope to return in the future.

My husband and I stayed at Lingwood Lodge for a few days during our honeymoon, and had a lovely time. The room was a good size and was very comfortable. Sandra was a welcoming host and made us feel right at home. Parking is a little bit tight, but you are 2 minutes away from town and the lakefront. We would definitely stay again if we return to the Lake District, we had a lovely time.

Hadn’t realised that the property didn’t provide breakfast but there are plenty of options in Bowness.

We loved the location, which was a really short walk from the centre of Bowness, but enough distance that it was extremely quiet and peaceful around the property. The room was generous and comfortable. Sandra and Gina really went the extra mile to accommodate us and make us feel welcome, greeting us on arrival and on departure, and even decorating the room for our Mums birthday which was a really lovely and special touch.

Loved everything about our stay., watching the deer walking around the side garden was really special. BTW, the bed was super comfortable.

The roadworks at the end of the drive, but at the rate those guys were working that wouldn't be an issue for long.

기숙사 사감 선생님의 훈계를 듣고 싶으면 이 숙소를 선택하시기 바랍니다. 포장 음식으로 저녁을 먹는 중이란 걸 보면서도 사적 공간인 임차한 룸으로 들이닥쳐서 5분 내외의 훈계를 끝내고야 미안하다는 말 한마디 없이 나갔습니다. 입실할 때 빨래를 하지 말라는 말을 하긴 했지만 양말 몇 개를 손빨래한 게 훈계를 들을 정도의 잘못인지 납득이 되지 않는다. 온수 공급 시스템이 손빨래하는 걸로 지장을 받을 정도라면 숙박업체로서 결격사유가 될 문제이지 않은가.. 애초 계약 조건에 빨래 금지를 명시한 것도 없었는데, 장기간 여행으로 불가피하게 빨래할 게 생기는 상황이었고 가벼운 빨래를 금지하는 숙박업소를 본 적도 없었기에 왜 그런 대우를 받았는지 지나고 보니 더욱 불쾌함이 커진다. 우리가 소란스러워 윗층에 거주하는 업주 부부가 수면에 방해를 받았다는 사실도 훈계 내용에 포함되어 있었다. 방음시설이 부실하니 큰 소리로 대화를 하면 안된다는 주의사항도 계약서에는 찾아볼 수 없었다. 언어 소통이 불충분하여 충분히 항의도 못하고 퇴실하긴 했으나 그냥 넘어가기에는 간단한 문제가 아니라고 생각된다. 문제가 많은 온수 공급방식과 방음이 부실한 건물구조에 적응하도록 강요하는 숙박업소라는 걸 알았다면 절대 선택하지 않았을 것이다. 2박에 256파운드라는 금액을 지불한 손님에게 그런 치욕수러운 경험을 선사한 데 대해 숙박업주의 진심어린 사과를 요청한다. 아울러 계약 플랫폼인 부킹닷컴에도 정식으로 고객으로서 권익을 침해당한 데 대해 제보를 하고 보상을 요청할 계획이다.

Lingwood Lodge was a fantastic place to stay very clean just 5 minutes walk to town and lake was made very welcome I would definitely be going back again and would recommend it first class

The room was very clean and comfortable and felt very homely. Very easy to check in. It was in an excellent location, just a 10 minute walk from the waterfront. The building was lovely and had free parking, which Sandra allowed us to use on the day of checkout too so we could enjoy more time in Bowness without paying for more parking. The cherry on top was a selection of DVDs which were free to enjoy.

The only thing i would say is the shower, water pressure wasnt very high and i like a powerful shower.
