Hospitality of the staff (security, reception desk, cleaning, restaurant etc.), everyone's very helpful and not intrusive. Quiet and spacious rooms and bathroom. The convenience of having a small grocery shop and laundry in the basement of the building. Hotel is close to many useful/tourist locations (Petak enam, shopping malls, Kota tua, Monas etc).

The pool and room furniture could do with a renovation/deeper cleaning. Mostly dark interiors (there are lgihts, its just the general design of the hotel that is in dark/wooden colours). Regardless, the hospitality of the staff and general benefits (especially if you get a discount price) make it worthwhile to stay here.

Het smerigste hotel waar ik ooit gezeten heb. Overal beestjes, vlekken in de lakens en een airco vol schimmel. Kamer 3207 was echt een soort ‘hel of hotel’. Met een ondefinieerbaar bruin ‘iets’ in de hoek van de kamer. Overal schimmel in de badkamer en de kamer waar we sliepen. Wilde er niet douchen en zou dit hotel iedereen afraden.

Areas inside the hotel require some attention: parts of the walls etc are run down and our bathroom was quite old and run down and attracted some ants- it was our first night in Indonesia so perhaps I am judging too much to western hotel standards though. We didn't have time for the swimming pool but I'm sure that was lovely. Nothing to do or see within walking distance

Its a nice place near to the airport toll road so you can fly out and fly in easily and get to the airport in less time

I had a small issue with the access card, as it didn’t work when I tried to use it, so I had to come all the way down from the 30th floor to get it changed. However, the staff handled the situation really well. They genuinely apologised for the inconvenience and, as a gesture of goodwill, upgraded my room to a suite completely free of charge. I really appreciated that—it was a very thoughtful gesture and definitely made up for the inconvenience. Overall, everything was very good, and I had a great experience staying here. One thing I would recommend, though, is to sort out the parking arrangements beforehand. Otherwise, you may have to wait for your turn at the parking gate machine each time you enter or exit, which can be a little inconvenient.

The one thing I genuinely liked about this hotel was the availability of rooms with two queen-size beds, which can comfortably accommodate four people or a small family with two children. This was actually the main reason I booked the hotel. We used it as a two-night “transit stay” after a long flight from Europe before continuing our journey to East Java by train, and the room configuration worked very well for my family. For families looking for a practical short stay with enough sleeping space, this is definitely one of the hotel’s stronger points.

1. Stepping into the room feels a bit like being transported back to 2015. The interior and furnishings look noticeably dated, and the room would definitely benefit from a proper renovation. 2. The air conditioning did not work properly. I lowered the temperature several times, but it made almost no difference, and the room remained uncomfortably warm, especially during the day. I reported the issue to reception, but unfortunately no one came to check or fix it. 3. The breakfast selection was quite limited, and the overall quality was disappointing. The chicken was dry, the salad looked tired and unappealing, and some of the food was barely enjoyable. Considering the condition of the room and the breakfast quality, the hotel felt overpriced. 4. The location is not particularly convenient, as the hotel is situated on a small road and away from the more attractive or central areas. However, if you have business or other activities nearby, the location could still be practical.

Frukosten var katastrofal, rummet var ej städat, smutsiga lakan och dörrlås trasigt. Såg ut som någon försökt bryta sig in. Duschen och toan var ofräscha och det hängde kryp i taket. Boendet ligger långt utanför centrum och i slummen så riktigt obehagligt område Hissen fungerade otroligt dåligt och man bor på 27:e till 33:e våningen REKOMMENDERAR EJ

Lokasi dekat dengan Mangga dua, dekat dg Ancol, dekat dg kota Tua, dekat dg Pecinan Glodok Terima kasih Dapat Upgrade Kamar dari Superior ke Eksekutif dan waow sangat luas dan bersih. Bisa melihat pemandangan kota, Kolam Renangnya juga bagus tempat nya Semua staf ramah dan baik. Sangat rekomended dan ingin kembali lagi ke sini.

The staff are respectful and kind people. They were ready to help whenever I needed. When I checked out, Mr Dany at reception made a nice gesture by giving me a free coffee.

Le buffet du petit déjeuner est sympa et ouvert des 6h. La salle de sport est bien équipée et la piscine est sympa.

L'hôtel à connu des jours meilleurs. Nombreuses taches d'humidité, fuites d'eau au plafond. Le restaurant de l'hôtel devait servir jusqu'à 18h mais le chef cuisinier n'a pas voulu nous servir à 17h45.

The bed was very dirty with blood stains. I asked staff to come handle the issue and waited ages; staff only arrived after many calls. Their service is extremely slow.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und braucht dringend eine Renovierung. Es war nicht sauber und roch unangenehm. Zusätzlich kamen Ameisen aus den Wänden. Die Klimaanlage war sehr schwach, obwohl zwei verbaut sind. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war okay, aber bei weitem nicht gut. Das schlimmste war allerdings der hausinterne spa Service. Normalerweise würde man davon ausgehen, dass ein Hotel auch einen extra spa Bereich hat, den man besuchen kann. Hier gibt es nur Zimmerbesuche. Massage gebucht, die Frau kommt auf Zimmer und fängt an zu massieren. Meine Freundin verlässt das Zimmer um einen Termin wahrzunehmen und kaum ist sie aus dem Zimmer wird mir eine „Spezial Massage“ angeboten. Ich habe abgelehnt und keinen Aufstand gemacht um die Situation nicht zu eskalieren. Das ist eine solch unglaubliche Frechheit mir und meiner Partnerin gegenüber. Ich fühlte mich seitdem äußerst unwohl. Als ich meiner Partnerin davon erzählte war für uns beide der Aufenthalt danach in diesem Hotel sehr unangenehm. Wir werden dieses Hotel niemals wieder betreten. Dies war die schlechteste und respektloseste Hotelerfahrung meines Lebens. Sie sollten sich schämen solche Leute in ihrem spa Personal zu beschäftigen.

One staff member was very insistent and being very creepy towards me, made me very uncomfortable. Told the front desk at check out. But needs to be noted. Also the balcony door is supposed to be shut for safety reasons but it was slightly open so bugs got in. Also no food after 6pm

The bed was comfy. The reception staff were so so lovely and so were the doormen. Big rooms and nice free water. Only one night stay and that was plenty.

Bed sheets were clean but stained, same as the towels. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Water damage to ceiling in bathroom and bedroom. Our key card didn’t work for the lift, so instead of replacing it we had to ask the staff to keep letting us in the lift, this meant we couldn’t use pool etc. breakfast was poor and so were the staff, I asked for a cup and was just looked at by the women when someone else asked they got several out. My partner asked if there would be refill on the beans as other foods were being refilled on request but our request was ignored again by the same two women. We did wait over half an hour and then decided to leave as no point waiting longer. It felt as thought we weren’t their sort of people so didn’t want to help? Such a shame as everywhere else in Indonesia the people have been the kindest people we’ve met.

I had a wonderful stay at Best Western Mangga Dua. The location is very strategic and easy to access from Mangga Dua shopping area. The room was clean, comfortable, and all facilities were working well. I would like to give special thanks to **Mr. Dany** from the Front Office team. He was very helpful, friendly, and provided excellent service during check-in and throughout my stay. Breakfast was good with various menu options. Overall great value for money. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back. Thank you to the whole team and especially to Mr. Dany for making my stay pleasant.

Staff ramah, Kamarnya nyaman, kasur gede, air panas normal, sarapan macam2 dan rasanya lumayan. Kedap suara dari luar dan ada balkon kecil lihat pemandangan.

Cek in jam 2, tapi disuruh nunggu 30 menit kamar belum ready. Set 3 sore baru masuk kamar tapi kamar keadaan kotor ada bekas nasi & eyeliner dan jarum pentul. Kamar mandi kotor berlumut lantainya bikin licin. Karena memang hotel agak tua ya jadi banyak kayu2 yang keropos terutama di pintu kamar. Kamar 3104.

De sportschool was echt top en de kamers zijn ruim. Zwembad was ook goed. Personeel in het restaurant was super vriendelijk, brachten ons uit het niets eten en lieten zelfs de bezienswaardigheden van Jakarta zien. Ontbijt was ook prima en redelijk gevarieerd.

Bij binnenkomst ging het al mis, we stonden te wachten voor de check-in maar er was niemand. Toen er iemand aan kwam lopen, kwam er ook een andere vrouw naast ons staan. Personeel liep ons straal voorbij en wilde haar eerst helpen. Hier hebben we wel wat van gezegd want beiden interesseerde het niet zoveel. Vervolgens kregen we een vieze kamer met de (schaam)haren nog in het bad, natte vloer en poepresten in de wc. De vloer kwam half los en onderhoud was al lang niet uitgevoerd, het rook er muf. Hier hebben we een melding van gemaakt en toen werd gelukkig wel gelijk een andere kamer voor ons geregeld. Deze was veel beter maar ook hier achterstallig onderhoud en het beddengoed rook muf naar de kelder van mijn overgrootmoeder(overleden). Grootste ergenis was de lift waar je een pasje voor nodig hebt, we hadden er alleen 1 voor de kamer waardoor je dus heel de lift niet kunt bedienen. Je moet elke keer naar de lobby zodat iemand van het personeel je naar een andere etage zoals de sportschool of het zwembad kan laten gaan. In de huidige staat is het hotel zijn vier sterren en bedrag per nacht niet waard.

كان هناك مدير المكان اعتقد اسمة ريو كنت في وعكة صحية شديدة قام بتوكيل سائق خاص من طاقم الفندق وتوصيلي الى المستشفى وظل مرافق معي حتى انتهيت من اجرائات الطوارى كانت مايقارب 4 ساعات ثم العودة الى الفندق رغم تعبي الشديد الى انه احظر الفطار الى غرفتي وقام بالاطمئنان علي والتاكد من صحتي شكرا جزيلا ( ريو ) اشكر طاقم الفندق على حسن استقبالهم خاصة مشرفين مدخل البوابة حيث انهم يتاكدون من سعر المشوار قبل ان اصعد الى التاكسي وحريصين ان لا يتم خداعي

I stayed at Best Western Mangga Dua, Jakarta with my family for one night (27–28 June 2026), and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. For a 4-star hotel operating under the Best Western brand, the overall quality was far below expectations. Pillowcases – The pillowcases were covered with lint and loose fibers, looked old and worn out, and were not even matched. Each pillowcase was different, giving the impression of poor housekeeping standards. Television – Every TV channel had signal issues, making it impossible to watch properly. No Towels Available – We checked in at around 1:00 AM, only to find that there were no bath towels or bath mats in our room. When I called the receptionist, I was told that the hotel had run out of towels. Instead, they sent us four bath mats (photo attached), expecting us to use them instead of towels. The next morning, I called again and was informed that towels were still unavailable. My family and I were extremely disappointed and shocked that a 4-star hotel could fail to provide such a basic necessity. Empty Shower Gel – The shower gel dispenser was completely empty. Water Heater Not Working – The water heater did not work at all, forcing my family to shower with cold water. I strongly urge the hotel management to conduct a thorough evaluation of its housekeeping, maintenance, and overall service quality. These are not minor issues—they are basic standards that every hotel should meet. It is truly embarrassing that a hotel under the Best Western brand provides such poor facilities and service. This stay was absolutely not worth the money, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was the worst in Indonesia, when we got there we were a bit early for check in so my husband went for Friday prayers I was left sitting there for an hour and thirty mins I wasn’t even offered a drink or anything, the room was not what we expected no WiFi smelt of cigarettes was dirty, and it was noisy reception was busy as people live there as it’s also a residence, location was not good at all I would not recommend this hotel at all.
