Breakfast was fantastic with large variety of food and plenty of space to sit, rooms were nice and clean. Staff very friendly and kids love the swimming pool

There is older style toilet flush system which means water level way too high than modern toilets and therefore not too great to use.

The outdoor space is really nice. Good to chill just by the beach, looking to the sea. Pool is good too.

The room itself is not as nice. First the bed sheets and towels have stains on them. There are some mouldy spots in the bathroom and in the room. Not sure why but the bed feels a bit damp, and the pillow has a not great smell (could be from the dampness). The shampoo and shower gel was also empty and not refilled, only realised this once in the shower.

Property is overall run down, and very tired looking in many aspects, the room fit outs are not maintained, worn out condition, water level in the wc is high and unhygienic, if not careful will cause filthy splashes. The property has a beautiful view and the outdoor areas are quite nice and well maintained. I can understand why the resort is well known and popular, especially for its scenery and overall outdoor atmosphere.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The room and bed were not very comfortable, and some of the facilities and equipment provided were incomplete or outdated. There were also maintenance issues, such as the door handle coming loose when opening the door. The breakfast was very simple and not very appealing. For a hotel at this price range, I expected much better quality and variety. I was also concerned about safety around the pool area. Many guests walked back to the hotel without changing out of their wet clothes, causing the walkways to become very wet and slippery. This could potentially cause guests to slip and fall. Overall, I feel that the price is too high compared to the quality and experience provided. If the price was expensive but the experience was satisfying, I would have no complaints. Unfortunately, in this case, I did not feel that the stay was worth the price.

The pool and garden are nice. The rooms are huge and clean.

The hotel is tired and in fact is closing soon for an extended refurb. The pool sunken bar is closed. The bed was rock hard.

We could check in early after our long flight, which was nice. Location was good near butterfly garden and escape waterpark. Swimmingpool, cocktails and the beach were good. Free water downstairs to refill and reduce plastic waste.

Place was outdated, i.e. the bathroom. It looked clean but it had his best years... We had lunch there to enjoy the pool but we got raw!!! chicken. Gorden Ramsey would be very dissappointed. We did get a new piece but still...

Location was good. Very quiet resort not sure what it would be like in high seasons. Our room had a massive double bedroom and 2 twins in the living area. Room was cleaned everyday and beds made.

Hotel is a bit tired but it is apparently being taken over so hopefully it will have some renovations.

The rooms are rundown and very old, Aircon temperature cannot be adjusted and it's always stuck at 23, despite asking for help 3 times over 2 nights stay in the hotel from the front desk, no help was provided which is massively disappointing, they advertise it as a king bed but it's not a king bed it's more closer to a queen bed, breakfast was very poor quality and had no taste and for the price it provided almost no value, People should avoid this hotel like the plague, if you spend 500RM + a night you should not stay at this dingy hotel, either spend a touch more for a similar room in Shangri la or even go for the same price range but a smaller room which will always be better quality than this dump. No customer service at all. Parking is also very limited. Stay at your own peril

The vicinity to the beach

The family suite gave the impression it has two rooms but it is just a large space with a king size bed dominating the main area and two single beds tucked in a corner of the room. No powder room/toilet other than the one bathroom which was quite inconvenient. The tap handle for the bidet was also located at a weird angle behind the cistern, as if it was added as an afterthought.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, the wide variety of breakfast options, and the beach located just next to the hotel. A great location to fully enjoy your stay. 😊

One thing I was disappointed with was the general maintenance of the hotel. Since the hotel is apparently scheduled to close in October for renovations, I felt that many things had simply been left unattended until then. We noticed water leaks in the corridors, broken door handles, and a faulty shower door, with no apparent repairs or maintenance being carried out. I find this disappointing, especially since the price is quite high compared to the level of service currently provided. Better maintenance would have made the overall experience much more enjoyable.

The property is too old have to be renovated and further upgraded for better comfort.

We liked the location, we liked the beach. The rooms were large and spacious, but very outdated.

The pools and splash park are in serious need of updating. The grids in the baby pool were actually dangerous and were fitted improperly, meaning that my toddler was able to move them and even fall through them if we weren’t careful. The tiles surrounding and on the pool were also cracked or broken. Which again, is a huge hazard. The splash pool flooring wasn’t level and there were a few trips and falls. The value of the property was ok but considering we followed this stay with a 5* hotel straight afterwards that wasn’t that much more really implies it was overpriced.

On a passé un séjour fabuleux en famille. L'accueil par le personnel, la propreté, l'emplacement en bord de mer étaient vraiment super.On avait une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer et les montagnes. Je recommande vivement surtout pour un séjour familial. Un grand merci à Norli de la réception, une dame exceptionnelle, à l'écoute des besoins, chaleurreuse et toujours souriante🥰🥰🥰.

L’hôtel est vieillissant et manque d’entretien pour garder sa qualité d’un établissement de "luxe", comme il y a 20 ans en arrière. Le personnel est très gentil avec les clients, souriant et disponible. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux, varié et riche : il y en a pour tous les goûts. Il y a un très bon restaurant libanais à côté de l’hôtel, qui propose une cuisine de qualité.

La piscine n’est pas propre, car beaucoup de gens y entrent avec leurs vêtements (T-shirt, pantalon) sans se doucher au préalable. Pourtant, un panneau indique clairement l’interdiction d’entrer en T-shirt dans la piscine, mais visiblement, les règles ne sont pas respectées, et le gardien de la piscine ne les fait pas appliquer. Un point important : la plage de Batu Ferringhi est vraiment très sale et polluée. On trouve beaucoup de déchets sur le sable, et l’eau est noire, ce qui est totalement différent de ce qu’on voit sur les cartes postales. Pendant les 5 jours de notre séjour, nous n’avons pas mis un pied dans l’eau. C’est tout un écosystème qu’il faudrait revoir dans cette île de Penang. Plus la plage est mal protégée et envahie de déchets, plus cela fait fuir les touristes. Et moins il y a de touristes, moins il y a de moyens pour financer les infrastructures, comme par exemple la rénovation des hôtels, mais aussi le bon fonctionnement de l'économie locale, les emplois, le commerce, les hôtels, les restaurants, etc. C’est un cercle vicieux qui risque de pénaliser toute la région à long terme.

La climatisation était beaucoup trop froide et il n’était pas possible de la régler correctement. L’établissement est également un peu désuet et mériterait quelques travaux de rénovation pour retrouver davantage de confort.

I don't know why people leave good reviews. Hotel is already "tired" and is crying for renovation. It's the end of the beach, so you have to walk 2 km to shops / cafe's. Outside beach is not maintained, so don't go here if you want beach experience. Weird that room will get damp and clothes too.

Fijn hotel. Leuk zwembad. Fijne locatie, op het strand naar rechts als je van meer reuring houdt en naar links als je van wat rustiger houdt. Leuke eettentjes om de hoek, met je voeten in het zand.

Ресепшен никак не отреагировал . Попросили вернуть за 1 день , так как мы решили выехать после инцидента, никакого желания решить или помочь не было .

Not much, it was a big disappointment as we have stayed here before at least twice. The staff are still friendly, helpful, but the place is rundown and old. The outside gardens are still pleasant and maintained but you can see work is needed. The room was big and clean and plain, but hasn't been updated in years. Not much in the way of amenities. No hair conditioner and not all electrical outlets worked. I didn't complain as it seemed silly to when it will all be gone soon. Couldn't have balcony door open as some bug apparently in season. It would have been nice. A screen insect door would be good. Maybe in the new establishment......Breakfast was okay, and the barman was chatty, when the bar was open.

The hotel is closing in October for refurbishment so consequently there is no effort being made. They are ready to move out of it, and you can tell. Shops closed, most plants/decorations removed, etc. Mind you, if they are closing soon, I don't blame them. However, it would have been nice to know as we probably would not have booked here. We did it to relive good old memories but the new ones are disappointing.

Great location. Close to bus stop. Right on the beach. Beach bars very close. Boat to monkey beach is right at hotel. Clean and tidy. Lovely staff good breakfast too. Great massage on sight too

This is just a thought. It would be great if the deep end of the pool was adults only. As there is quite a lot of areas for children. Sometimes it would have been nice to just swim and relax.

فندق جميل ونظيف رغم انه قديم لكن توجد تعديلات عليه تواكب الفنادق الجديدة وأنه قريب على البحر مباشرتاً وقريب على الفعاليات الليلية المسبح جميل ونظيف وتوجد ساحات لممارسة رياضة كرة القدم والسلة.

يجب على كادر الصيانة عند خروج النزيل يقومون باصلاح العطلات قبل دخول النزيل الجديد اي فحص جميع الأجهزة والحمامات الصحية.

Good location , clean, helpful and friendly staff. Beach view of sunset and good food choice in the restaurant with great service. Lovely pool and naughty little monkeys playing in the grounds.

We love the location due to beach front. The swimming pool is also huge & the sunset at the beach was amazing!

The bath tub has faulty water outlet. When we shower in the bath tub, the water cannot be discharge or very slow to discharge. So the water is until knee level ny the time we finish showering. We report to front desk but no action. Do check your bathtub water outlet or change to shower. Thanks
