Excellent staff & excellent food

Quite expensive

Room, overfurnished with beautiful furniture, but more space would be appreciated. Breakfast, good but didn’t like the cooking experience, egg beating in the restaurant. Location excellent. Hosts trying to provide too much!

Great location in middle of town, lovely staff and service, comfortable bed, beautifully decorated.

The stairs mainly (no lift) and no parking on the premises. Plus the taps in our room were not fixed and wobbled a lot which made getting water cumbersome.

The hotel had lost all internet access. So no telephone or WiFi for the entire stay. It was still broken when I left. For a hotel at this cost per night, I was very surprised that this hadn’t been rectified more quickly.

Aber leider war in unserem Zimmer der Wasserkocher, die Dusche, das Rollo und die Nachtischlampe defekt. Wurde aufgrund später Anreise auch erst am Folgemorgen durch uns reklamiert - man hätte uns nach Aussage der Managerin ansonsten auch gleich ein anderes Zimmer gegeben

The location is excellent. The staff make you feel at home and are very attentive. The food is generally at a high standard and most of the dishes are delicious.

We recommend that an alternative vegetable is offered in place of samphire. It was stringy and not very pleasant to eat. However thiis did not detract from the dishes being delicious.

Location was perfect. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Bedroom Overlooked the patio and garden and was noisy at night, late evening. Had to ask for extra towels. One evening meal was very disappointing. The fish was not good at all and should have been removed entirely from my bill. They applied a discount but the fish was grey, tasteless and looked very unappetizing. The option did not appear on the next evening’s menu.

Its a beautiful property inside and out. Very clean and tidy and up to date.

really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, from the check-in to not wanting to leave. The decor throughout the hotel and in the bedrooms has beautiful attention to detail.

We had a lovely dinner but forgot to use our 10% discount. We asked at checkout if we could apply it retrospectively, but were told this couldn't be done.

Small, but cosy loft room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff.

Breakfast service was slow.

Our Luxury room was spacious and clean.

1) Occasional smells from kitchen below. 2) Bath chain far to short meaning when you sat in bath you kept knocking against a taut chain pulling out the plug. 3) No chocolates in room on arrival as described on your site. I mentioned this to two different receptionists but never got any answer or explanation. 4) Room had bathrobes but no slippers.

Perfectly situated on the High Street. Wonderful reception . Lovey coffee on the terrace . And a truly wonderful , beautiful comfortable room !!!

Breakfast was disappointing. Weren’t welcomed and service was very slow. Felt a bit cheeky charging extra for a cappuccino when most places would have a coffee machine. Our room was lovely apart from we were only supplied with one set of towels and our bathroom sink had a really bad blockage

Very small carpark for the size of the hotel and not that easy to find. The reception team however were extremely helpful in guiding us in on the phone to find the exact location.

A very attractive property

It was very hot and despite having 2 fans and both windows open it was so stuffy. Also the shower was stuck on hot and I couldn’t run it cool. The weather is not the properties fault but it was uncomfortable

We didn’t have a lunch or dinner there but the Menu looked high quality. We found breakfast to fall a little short of those expectations - poached eggs were generally overcooked and the smoked haddock with poached eggs was very underwhelming - a very small piece of fish and 2 small eggs sat alone on a big plate. Easy to improve that I think. Also whilst the breakfast room this morning was almost empty we had to chase for our order to be taken which delayed our planned departure time by half an hour. Also watch out on your checkout bill for the optional service charge - I didn’t notice until after we had checked out, I think the person dealing with checkout should have pointed it out or it should have been added as an item each time we charged something to our room.

Plenty of choice for breakfasts which were very good. Hotel location couldn’t have been better right in the heart of the town

Service in the garden area was slow at times, but all the staff were brilliant. The surroundings were fantastic. One of the best hotel gardens

Garden rooms overlook the garden, which is nice, but can be a little noisy when the garden is in full swing on Friday or Saturday evening. Hot food is cooked fresh for breakfast, which is great, but it was a little slow when busy.

We found the staff absolutely fabulous over the phone before our stay, on arrival and during our stay. Very courteous, friendly, attentive and skilled in their roles. We actually stayed for two nights with a two night gap for our daughter's wedding at Pylewell Park and hosted a reception, in the garden of the hotel, for the guests on the Sunday. The staff were again very attentive taking drink orders for our guests and the flatbreads / pizzas ordered were delicious. The food was excellent at dinner on the Thursday and Sunday for our group of families. Breakfast was perfectly cooked with a good choice of cooked food and continental.

Extra charge for cooked breakfast. Unit at bottom of bed was too close to bed post and continuously knocked ankle. Unit unnecessary. Small car park. No vacancy until lunchtime next day. Had to go to car park for 8am to pay for that morning

The hotel is a quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling Lymington high street. We loved how genuinely helpful and friendly the staff were, who went out of their way to help us with our pram and baby. They even swapped us to a larger room to accommodate our baby's cot. The communal spaces are fantastic, especially the courtyard restaurant is worth a visit whether you are staying at the hotel or just popping in for a meal!

We would have loved AC in the loft room, as it was difficult to cool down on a hot summer day.

lovely restaurant area and nice room with personal seating outside which was great for breakfast. The football was on during our stay so the restaurant was full in the evenings but we didn't hear any noise at all, even though we were relatively close.

I think for the price I was disappointed that the room didn't have aircon or a mini fridge. We did visit during warm weather and they brought us water with ice to the room but it was exceptionally hot. The room was meant to be dog friendly but luckily we didn't bring our dog. If we had we would have had to go home or find a different hotel.

Lovely hotel with a boutique style, feels homely, relaxed and stress free.. We stayed here a couple times before all be it 15-20 years ago and it was great back then as it is now just a little bigger.

Breakfast was good and the garden very pleasant. The bedroom was well equipped. Nice to have milk.

Sugar and sweetener not on the table. The banging of doors was excessive. The door closers need adjusting as they were far too strong. The key fobs were too big making a noise when used especially late at night Problem with water pressure in shower and one could not adjust the water temperature.

Beautiful Interior Design and very well thought out. Really friendly, efficient staff, excellent food- had dinner & breakfasts. Loved the garden at the back for drinks, breakfast or dinner.

Slightly difficult to find the car park (up the road, around the back of the shops opposite (next to the Job Centre) but actually there is an alleyway just opposite the hotel so very easy to wheel case over.

Shower drainage was very slow to clear I thought it was going to flood Soap, shower dispensers were hard to use - did not pump well

Room very nice, albeit a bit small. Excellent welcome at reception. Gentleman on breakfast was excellent and really knew how to engage with guests.

Service very variable. F&B staff mostly young and though very pleasant, lacked basic training. Dinner on Saturday very good but we forgot and no sides were offered, asked for dessert menu, never arrived and staff disappeared so we ended up waiting so long we gave up. Seemed to be several instances of food going to the wrong tables. Shampoo / body wash dispensers are a disaster - end up having to remove the pump to get anything out. No recycling facility in the room and lights on alround the place in daylight - very poor ESG in the era we live.

Breakfast, terrace and bar, restaurant and food, staff. Altogether a very nice boutique hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Although nicely appointed, I would not stay in a "Loft" room again in a heat wave! Despite being provided with both an air conditioner and a fan, my room was like an oven because of the exceptionally high heat-wave temperature. It was also very tight and awkward to move around because of the sloping eves and dormer roof line.

Very comfortable, traditional hotel with nice decor and friendly staff. Really liked having a radio in the room and the fact it was on and set at a low volume when we arrived - very welcoming.

The only negative would be carpets on the staircase a bit tired and tiling around the bath could be refreshed. Otherwise very good.

Accomodation was excellent - despite the heat the room was pleasantly cool. Breakfast was good and we also ate in the restaurant which was good

Cleaning of the room on the second day was patchy - recycling wasn't removed

Stayed in a suite that had no aircon. It was extremely uncomfortable and wouldn’t stay again during any warmer periods.

They put a 10% discretionary service charge on the cost of the bed and breakfast cost for my final bill. It was taken off with no issue on my request but it felt quite sneaky the way it was added. I had already paid for the accommodation and only had a few drinks to pay for so it was very obvious but I could see how someone might not notice it. If they were more up front I would have considered paying some form of tip for staff but was annoyed by the way it was done.

The bathroom toilet continually dripped, the bath and shower door had mildew and the bathroom itself smelt of mould. We had to keep the bathroom window open and the door shut, so the door rattled in the wind both nights. I also don’t know who painted the bathroom, but it was poorly done. The cold tap at the sink was very noisy. Noise pollution being situated above a room with a balcony and kitchen to the side. On a more positive note, the bedroom itself was decorated to a high standard and the view was lovely. #Room 39

The room and breakfast were fantastic along with the service. With the recent hot weather the staff went out of their way to provide fans and portable ac units.

The room was tastefully decorated and furnished and the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Our room also had an annex with a two level bunk for small children. But as we were a couple this was only used for storing our cases. It was helpful that there was private parking nearby.

The room was a little on the small side. Also, as the window would only open a small amount it was difficult to get a flow of air into the room witout using the fan provided. The continental breakfast selection was limited. It did not include muesli or dried fruits, and the bread selection was poor. It was very difficult on arriving in Lymington to find one's way to the hotel car park. I had to phone and ask for directions.

Lovely room with good shower and comfortable bed. Garden and bar areas are great for a relaxing stay and hotel is situated in a perfect location. Unfortunately we had to check out early due to an emergency at home so didnt get to sample the breakfast which sounded good.

For the standard of hotel I'd expect larger, softer towels. Pillows won't be to everyone's liking as they are very dense and hard
