Hotel Collingwood BW Signature Collection

The staff were so accommodating, they switched our room to one that had step free access and made my 1 year old feel very welcome in the restaurant. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. We loved swimming in the pool. The room was very nice, bathroom clean and bed comfy.

Location was nice ,breakfast was good choices and staff at the breakfast was very polite and friendly and helpful, size of the room was good but too much noises coming from the road.

The reception staff need to improve their customer service and maybe little smile on there faces which will not cost them nothing .I find that the reception staff look like unhappy.

5 minute walk to the beach, comfortable room, staff all very friendly towards us and our dog, and the breakfast was excellent!

The door to our room didn’t feel the most secure and the location of our room (near the stairs and lift) meant it was quite noisy in the evening. Our room must have been near some guest toilets also, as we continuously heard a powerful hand dryer being used during our stay.

The staff were brilliant very accommodating, fabulous breakfast, very clean, really good location, great bus service if you don't want to be shackled to your car.

I think the parking is a bit expensive seeing as it is their own car park, they need better quality pillows all the ones we had were lumpy

Todo estuvo genial. Buen desayuno y el restaurante muy bueno. Buena ubicación y en general todo muy cuidado y muy bonito. Pero sobre todo lo mejor de este hotel es el personal que trabaja en el, te hacen sentir muy bien y están muy atentos a tus necesidades.

Mi habitación tenia un colchón muy malo y la ducha no era nada agradable pues en lugar de la puerta de la mampara de ducha había una cortinilla de plástico que te se pegaba al cuerpo mientras te duchabas.

Upon arrival we were charged for parking when no mention on booking that it was extra to price of staying at hotel,only booked this thinking parking was included, would have looked at other alternatives.

Looks like it's been fully refurbished. Decor is lovely. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast is probably the best hotel breakfast I have had.

Room is large and has good Wifi, besides sufficient space to store things, which i particularlylike. Good shower: I am getting used to the system, so I do not get wet all over any longer. I prefer buffet breakfast, but this was a nice alternative with a wide variety of vegetarian options.

Starting beakfast at 8:00am was a bit inconvenient for a work schedule. Starting at 7:30am would be better.

We loved our stay at the Collingwood, it is a lovely hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and stylish, we enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi and a lovely meal in the gold room restaurant. The location is ideal for all the attractions, definitely a good choice!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Our room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The freshly cooked breakfast each morning was excellent, with plenty of choice. We also had the opportunity to dine in the Gold Room, and the food was absolutely fantastic—easily one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time. I would happily recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Dressing table in room needs upgrading, was not in great condition, all carpets through hotel need cleaning or replacing. Member of staff at breakfast was quite rude when we arrived for breakfast, believed she was reception staff not the lady who checked us in.

Some of the room feels a little tired and could do with a touch up such as tiles and paint, otherwise it is excellent Pool - pool was cold, jacuzzi was very light and simply felt like a fizzle and shower was too light as well.

Dirty, tired, smelly, overpriced, old carpet, cheap furniture, paint all scratched, first room stunk of smoke had to be changed, second room had left over love heart confetti on the floor. Not worth £130. Second night stayed at another hotel in Poole which was a much better experience. Not to mention when I arrived four drug addicts were heating a spoon up in the woodland next to the carpark. Breakfast was 4/10 tinned mushrooms, boiled bacon, cheap sausage and sloppy egg.

The staff, Florin, Sita and Michael were fantastic also Marcin the manager was excellent, nothing to much trouble. Loved the bar and restaurant with a great menu. Really good choice of food and the breakfasts were amazing. We will be re-booking later in the year.

Our first visit to Bournemouth and the Collingwood, there was nothing we didn't like.

It felt a little run down , no lockers etc in the changing rooms and the carpet felt dirty etc it would be nice as a paying guest that we wasn’t charged £12.50 to park there .

Food was excellent and very hot. Staff were amazing all friendly and extremely helpful. Even giving the dog water and sausages.

It was very nice however was disappointed to find a 4ft . Bed but a only a 4ft mattress and the same with the quilt so a bit uncomfortable the first night. We told the manager he did get it changed so all was good the 2nd night.

Staff were really friendly. It was my husband's birthday and they decorated the bed with balloons. Breakfast was lovely. Swimming pool was so good. Great to use the games room.

I had actually contacted the hotel twice - once in an email and once on WhatsApp and I was not replied to either times. On our actual stay, I had no issues or concerns and we loved our stay.

Friendly service and attentive staff. Lovely hotel and spotlessly clean throughout.. Staff were so helpful without being intrusive. Quality beds and furnishings. Lovely breakfast. A great location close to pier and town centre. All in all an excellent hotel.

Excellent breakfast, the staff were amazing especially Alexa in the restaurant. We even had air con in the bedroom which was a bonus. Swimming pool and games room were invaluable on a rainy afternoon. Bar area was very modern and relaxing with option to play board games. Great Indian restaurant just across the road a little higher up.

The hotel is up a steep bank which is a consideration when wanting to go down to the sea and pier or to town if less mobile. However, most hotels will be similar due to how the land lies.

Prime location, luggage storage service, nice pool and staff were friendly.

The room was quite run-down; ceiling had water damage and one of the window handle was broken. There was a faulty alarm right outside our room that kept beeping.

Had to switch room as there was a ceiling leak in bathroom, we did get an upgrade as it was the only room left!

Felt that the staff member who dealt with our bathroom ceiling leak could have been quicker to offer a new room and to apologise for the inconvenience.

Amazing location and very friendly, attentive staff!

They gave us room 111 as a family room. That room is very small with a double bed whereas last time for the same price (same room category Classic Family Room) we got room 118 which is significantly larger, with better space between parents and child and also much more comfortable overall. The hotel should not sell those two rooms within the same category as they are massively different.

They were very kind to display happy birthday messages across the bed and even balloons which was a lovely kind touch and the upgraded room was spacious with modern decor

The mattresses were not in the best condition and uncomfortable (one very hard and one had springs piling through) both our backs were sore in the morning. Unfortunately a strong smell of the swimming pool but not huge amount to be done about that. Minor mishap with housekeeping as a precious guest’a cap was left somehow inside the lampshade. All told to manager who was kind and generous with us.

Beds were very small, no fan in the room so was very warm, spa had unsupervised children splashing and taking the whole pool up (understand children playing, but it didn’t allow for anyone else in the pool). Parking wasn’t clear, we ended up paying £28 in local car park as we weren’t aware there was parking onsite. Shower small and screen didn’t stop water going on the floor.

The single bed was very springy and the bathroom door didn’t latch properly and kept opening. The room door also didn’t not close correctly

The location is good as it’s walking distance to the beach. The staff are very friendly, also the breakfast staff were really nice.

We had 3 rooms, and unfortunately, all three were completely different in terms of facilities. Room 1 had air conditioning, Room 2 had only a cooler despite both being family rooms booked at exactly the same price, and Room 3 had just a fan. It felt very unfair that one family had to manage with a small cooler and fan while another had proper air conditioning. Especially during the summer, I think families expect a decent hotel to provide proper air conditioning, particularly when all rooms are charged at the same rate. The difference in facilities between the rooms was quite disappointing and definitely affected our overall experience.

The all round service and experience was excellent. Very accommodating hospitality, especially as I had to change the room last minute to accommodate my dog. This was a very easy stress free swap. The hotel is completely dog friendly which is just brilliant. The room even had a sea view, truly amazing. Upon arrival to hotel, I was given a dog welcome goody pack which my dog was excited about and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner from the Gold lounge was absolutely delicious, I luckily had the opportunity to order from the Gold Lounge’s menu, to have it served in the Bubble Lounge as I had my dog in tow. The Bubble Lounge is a cozy and very beautifully decorated bar/restaurant, I visited most evenings for dinner or some drinks and was introduced to Dorset’s Bacchus wine which was wonderful. The whole hotel was so welcoming by the staff and the customers alike. Everyone was friendly, helpful and the clientele were always friendly too, I had many a conversation with visitors like myself to the hotel of an evening. The small terrace was great in an evening or to watch the eclipse as I did along with others on my stay. A further larger garden area with pool table is also a great spot. The Hotel Collingwood’s location is fantastic too, it is close to amenities and the seafront with bars and restaurants close by. Along with many walking routes into Poole, Zigzag, Sandbanks or bus routes whichever suits and there is a very handy taxi service app in Bournemouth which is also pet friendly. Myself and my dog had a wonderful time staying in Hotel Collingwood, I will definitely be back to stay again. I had a wonderful holiday in Bournemouth and hotel stay. I look forward to my visit next time so I can use the spa and pool facilities. Thank you all for a splendid weekend.

Very comfortable room, bathroom and very good breakfast. Breakfast and bar staff particularly friendly, efficient and attentive. Excellent location not far from the pier and beaches (convenient funicular available). Very useful bus stop virtually outside the hotel with a direct bus to/from the railway station (no. 50 Purbeck Breezer) - which also went via Studland to Swanage (with excellent fish'n chip shops). Hotel recommends Kool Cycles close to the hotel with helpful owner. Hotel provided unlimited bottled water for a mere £2.50.

Hotel pool was overrun by children playing.

The hotel facilities are very good, the pool and games room meant we had something to do in the evenings at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast service was done very well and the chef was very accommodating with particular requests when ordering food at breakfast and in the evening. The location is very easy for the beach and shopping area, though coming back up means a steep hill. The bed was very comfortable .

There was no aircon in our room and due to the extreme heat during our stay our room was unbearably hot at night, the fan helped but we had to have it running all night. Our room was at the front of the hotel on a busy road which also made sleep difficult. A small fridge in the room would be useful to be able to keep a cold drink available.

The staff, all made our stay homely, they were accommodating . They extended our checkout time, & every little request like a plastic bag for wet clothes was given from her own personal bag. Never heard "no" kudos to the staff. All of them were mostly doing multi tasking.

If amenities on request were available it would had been nice. We didn't carry tooth brushes n paste , normally it's available on request . One of room was quite warm, curtains should be kept cover during strong sunlight exposure.

I stayed in a single room, more like a prison cell, with window looking at a wall 3 feet away, and only opened a little. The room was VERY hot, it was a warm evening but the room has no proper ventilation. The room would better be served as a store room.

All staff were very welcoming and helpful. Family room clean with tea and coffee and a fridge. Spa facilities excellent and quiet when we used but it was a very hot day. Location perfect. Bit of hill down to beach but can easily avoid steps and walk towards the aquarium. Breakfast freshly cooked.

We like the games room with pool table and table footballI liked the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast had lots of variety and delicious cooked food. The staff were friendly. There's 10% discounts on Mulligans and 20% discounts on smugglers cove mini golf if you stay at hotel Collingwood.The location was very good as it was very close to the beach, restaurants and shop. The decor in the breakfast room was good, very modern and classy. There was live music at the bar on a Friday night. Plenty of board games to use. Free parking if you book directly from them, otherwise it's £12 a day.

We loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Great place with kids. You can play billiards, table football, ping pong. Eggs were delicious in the morning. Everyone was nice and kind. I recommend this hotel. 👍😊

The only thing I did not like that you need to order and wait for the breakfast to be served you can't just collect your eggs, sausage, etc. but this is not an issue. 😊

Everything seemed a little slow, breakfast was slow being delivered, bar wasn’t manned at times, reception was the same at times. Unfortunately the water was off for one whole day because of a problem.

Great location and lovely fresh, hot breakfast made to order. Staff were all lovely. Florian (not sure if I have the right name) was amazing. Nothing seemed to be too much for him and he was regularly checking to see if we were OK and had everything we need.

The room had unfortunately been used by a smokers before. We were hit with the intense smell every time we entered the space and we have all come home with our clothes smelling of it as well. They also had some work done on the wall before we arrived and the wires and pipes were left exposed. They did warn us of this during check in but I feel it should have been covered up even if a temporary measure like taped over with cardboard as it wasn't ideal in a room with a young child and a crawling baby.

We had an enjoyable stay at hotel Collingwood. Our room was comfortable and clean, I slept really well. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Staff were very friendly, we also used the pool and jacuzzi. Altogether a great stay.

We've just had yet another fantastic stay at Hotel Collingwood. The location, lovely rooms and delicious food are exceptional and the service is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble to make sure our stay is totally comfortable and we had some great nights in the lively bar. All staff are wonderful and we would stay nowhere else.

A friendly hotel in a good location close to the beach, pier and gardens. Clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely bar area downstairs, with a very friendly barman.

Room was tidy and comfortable, the smallest of four hotels we stayed in though. Nice touch having a pool table and ping pong too. Good location. Staff were amazing and the soda water was free. The lamp shade was cool and the design was nice.

Don't remember there being any air conditioning, remember using a fan. We didn't have a view of anything in particular very interesting but there wasn't one to have really due to location.
