The hotel was in a great location.

The carparking charges, £12 a night that we weren't told about until we had booked the room.

Staff were super friendly. Great location to the beach and close to my work. Room was very spacious.

Lots of wear and tear - especially in the bathroom. Bathroom needs lots of attention to tidy up and remove moldy areas. Breakfast was suitable but could have had better selection and been fresher (i expected better from a best western). No sound proofing at all. I could hear everyone coming in and out the building, up the stairs, all the doors going, conversations /coughing in surrounding rooms, even people switching light switches - made it difficult to get good night sleep when staying in the area for work. Pillows and quilt need updating.. very flat.

shower in room was awful, spa jacuzzi didn’t have much power from the jets, spa showers - the button had to be pressed every few seconds so you didn’t have time to wash yourself properly - then it went freezing cold every so often. Reception drakes wasn’t manned all the time when we needed more milk andrea bags for the room as they weren’t properly stocked in the room in the first place.

Water in the Shower and Sink in the bathroom would not run cold... staff member attended, but it made little difference, its obviously a plumbing problem ,but it made the shower too hot to stay in. Also the shower tray was extremely slippery underfoot, my wife almost had a fall, it does need a shower anti slip mat. My wife went to the swimming pool and when she returned the hairdryer in the room did not work, the staff member cleaning the bedrooms found her another one ok.

The staff, particularly Thomas and Ezekiel, were friendly, professional and accommodating. The breakfast was great. The pool and gym were both clean and good facilities. Our suite was comfortable and I was grateful for the coffee maker. The shower was excellent. I had asked for a quiet room and got what I requested. The hotel has a chilled vibe and the music played in the bar contributes to that

It was noisy due to the wedding downstairs, hotel has contacted us on about 5 occasions prior check in, asking if we would like an upgrade, after check in there was another booking message and WhatsApp message-just felt a bit too much. Not comfy location of the rooms, you need to go to a different building. Very dated rooms.

Service was very slow, could do with more staff as usually it was just one staff member being stretched across multiple areas. Price of the drinks were very high. The water pipes were very loud. The walls are too thin, not much privacy. We were in the lodge, which was aged and separate from main hotel, price would be ok for main hotel but high cost for a dated second building stay.

The location, availability and price of parking, size of the room (and bathroom was HUGE with separate bath and shower) free access to the leisure facilities, check out time.

The Lodge (separate to the main hotel) was a little tired and our sheets had threadbare sections. We only had one drink at the bar (2 x double spirit and mixer) and it was £27 which seems steep. We didn't book breakfast. I thought the price was above what I would have expected, but it was Bournemouth, at the weekend, in the middle of summer and the leisure facilities do make up for it a bit, if you have the chance to use them.

The room had not been cleaned properly as anti depressant medication was left behind the bedside draws and also a nail file . Had to contact the night porter on both nights as the key card did not work to get in the building.

The Connaught Hotel is very nice with spa facilities, the brasserie looks very nice and the food was great.

We stayed in the Connaught Lodge attached to the Connaught Hotel, which is a run-down hotel in needs of refurbishment. The bathroom was very old with a cheap curtain, old carpet and furniture and the door barely closed. Breakfast was very cheap compared to what you could expect from the Connaught Hotel. Disappointing.

First of all, booking said it was sea and then when we arrived the hotel said they don’t do sea view, second we stayed in another building from the main hotel which was really stressful as that’s not what we paid for and felt so disappointed with this, was told to check out if we didn’t like what we booked but I’m from London, I can’t just book another place on the day, every was mainly booked and if I did try it was double the price of what we already had paid

The location of the hotel is fantastic, less than 5 minutes from the beach.

The hotel is very dated, the shower is merely a trickle and really needs replacing. Travelling with children and they advertise a hotel swimming pool but only after booking were we told children can’t use the pool between 9am-6pm.

The rooms were very old fashioned and need renovating. I hadn’t realised at the time the the lodge was next to the Commaught Hotel which was a renovated and more modern property.

The pool and spa facilities were good. The lady on checkout was lovely.

Honestly, from the start we had a bad experience. When we first arrived, we went to the main desk to check in and the guy at the reception was very rude to myself and my partner. (we are unsure whether this is due to the fact that we are a lesbian couple but we came to this conclusion due to the fact that he wasn’t treating anybody else at the desk like this ) He gave us no information about where to go or what direction to get to our room or whether there was lift access (which is needed due to my disability) Once we arrived at our room, we found that it was dirty, the carpet had not been hoovered and the bedside tables had crumbs on it. ( this didn’t bother us that much as the bedding was clean and so was the bathroom). We then decided to go for a dip in the pool before we ate some dinner, again the guy at reception was rude when we asked for towels and directions to the pool. We had a lovely time in the pool and then once we left the pool, we went back to reception as we remembered that we forgot to ask about dinner reservations. We were told that there was no food / room service again me and my partner felt like this was articulated in a particularly rude way. I do you want to add that the lady at reception the next day was delightful and extremely helpful however due to the experience the previous day we will not be coming back and not recommending to any of our friends.

aging facility. Aircon did not work despite reporting it. Weekend wedding means loud music till 12am. Children cannot use the indoor pool between 12 pm and 6pm which is a major problem if one has a child and not able to use the facilities. Would have been better to have this information before booking to make an informed decision.

The hotel was very clean and had a great swimming pool and gym. The location was very convenient, and the breakfast was really good. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. I was supposed to check in at 3 PM, but the staff were so inexperienced and disorganized that I didn’t get my room until 4 PM. The staff were also very rude and impatient. If you asked the same question twice or needed further clarification, they would become visibly annoyed. The whole experience was so stressful that my son now says he doesn’t even want to visit that city again, let alone stay at this hotel. Another major issue was the room key cards. Almost every time we left the room, the cards would stop working. We then had to wait for a staff member to come and open the door for us, which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. It’s a shame because the hotel itself was very clean, had a good pool and gym, a convenient location, and a nice breakfast. However, the poor customer service and the way we were treated really affected our overall experience.

The hotel has is situated in a good area near to the beach but quiet. Clean hotel, food at breakfast was good, I did not eat other meals at the hotel so cannot comment on them. Spa was lovely too.

Seemed a bit short staffed, nobody asked if I needed any help, I travelled alone. No offer of a room on ground level or a walk in shower. Nylon shower curtain on a bath, not very nice or hygienic.

Beautiful and clean. We went during summer and the air conditioned room was heaven! We used their amenities (Swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna). They also have spa, massages and a gym. The location was near the beach (10minute walk). Full english breakfast was amazing, its a buffet so can have as much as you want and they also have gluten free options. They have a lift but can fit only 4 people but if with luggages 1-2 person can fit.

The shower curtains need to be replaced with shower screen and toilet brush looked old and dirty and the rooms need a bit of a freshen up, but otherwise it was lovely.

Algo que me deixou insatisfeito foi a pressão de água da ducha do nosso banheiro, dificultou muito na hora de tomar banho.

£12 parking fee as did not book direct with hotel. There was no single bed in the room (as per pics) so I had to ring reception for them to bring a foldable one. WiFi didn’t work in the room and despite reporting it and server reboots it still didn’t work. Indoor pool times restricted for kids so we couldn’t go in the pool after check-in but had to wait until 6pm.

I was given a free upgrade on arrival to a small double room which was very comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent as always - I've been coming to the hotel for 15 years! I had dinner in the dining room 2 out of 4 nights and the food and service were excellent. I used to eat in every night but now the menu is fixed with no specials on offer beyond the catch of the day I tend to ring the changes and eat out a couple of nights.

The 'catch of the day' turned out to be salmon. I don't think this was caught in the English Channel somehow. Interestingly in nearby Poole a variety of local caught fish seem to be on offer. so perhaps a little bit more imagination on this would be a good idea together with the odd special on the menu to encourage people to eat in. It was noticeable that the restaurant was relatively empty. Would it be a good idea to ask people when they check in 'would you like to book a table for dinner'. If they ate in once they might get the idea that the food is good and return for more. Just a thought.

The room was a decent size, linens were good quality, huge bathroom and air conditioning. Hotel facilities were good with a bar, restaurant and spa. Breakfast was pretty good, plenty of choice and the cooked elements were NOT greasy.

The main issue was the bed, it was very firm and we both had a poor night’s sleep. The pillows were also too firm. Out bed at home is firm but this was next level. The staff, while friendly, did not seem very organised and the sharing of information such as the location of our bedroom had to be dragged out of them. Finally, I was shocked to be asked to pay £12 parking because I had booked through this site.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is great, making it easy to get around. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff are incredibly polite, professional, and courteous, always making guests feel welcome. A special thank you to Rio, the waiter in the restaurant, who truly makes all the difference with his excellent service, kindness, and attention to detail. I highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. The only things I missed were an ocean view and some live music to create a more relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Those small touches would make the experience even more memorable.

For breakfast they had Danish pastries and croissants which were lovely as well as fruit salad which was also very nice.

The hot breakfast wasn’t very warm and the bread did the toast wasn’t the freshest.

The lodge is run down and needs refurbishment. The breakfast is repetitive and some items not edible - eg hash browns were rock hard. You have to pay £12 extra for parking per day which is also scarce and not guaranteed. The cards to the rooms stop working so had to go back to the reception multiple times to have them coded again.

Some areas need refurbishing. Bath in our room was rusty, ventilation not working, tiles coming off, carpets need replacing, floors were creaking, No fridge. Water in shower was too hot so had to be extra careful in adjusting temperature . Walls not insulated enough & can hear the next room & corridor’s noises. Breakfast was basic. Not enough choices.Restaurant closing too early( we tried twice) as apparently short of staff but on our second visit, staff was kind enough to accommodate us. If lodge was booked, had to go to Connaught Hotel reception for check in & check out. All the amenities are in the hotel. Lodge is simply made up of rooms. Old fashioned & quite tiny lift in lodge. Gym had a hole in the wall (looked like something smashed into it) & some pieces of equipment had seen better days

The room was quiet. Bed comfortable. Staff were very attentive. The swimming pool was very nice and my little girl really enjoyed a splash every day! Lovely garden area to enjoy morning coffee and little had room to run around a bit. The location was perfect for us with a short walk to the beach and shop and couple of restaurants near by. Room had an aircon, which was very handy!

Quite small lift in the lodge so struggled with all the luggage on arrival a bit. But its understandable as lodge is not a big building so on the check out had multiple trips so didn't have to fit all the luggage and a child in the lift at once. Tiles around the swimming pool need a bit of scrub, but apart from that everything was very clean.

The Lodge room was fine. Clean, comfortable and with much needed air con. Very impressed with the facilities and staff in the main hotel. Great location for access to restaurants, the beach, buses.

Close to all that Bournemouth has to offer. Clean comfortable and facklities are excellent.

Unfortunately beers available on bar were warm but that is just being really picky.

The location of the property was good within easy walking of all we wanted to see / visit.

The Lodge was very tired. Our room had areas of damp, paint peeling off the skirting boards, room and bathroom in desperate need of refurb☹️ We thought we were booked into the main hotel - this was not made clear on the booking. Also the need to pay an additional £12 for parking. We ended up paying £145 for a room plus breakfast which was then advertised at only £69 on the day!!!

The Connaught lodge is very run down, room we stayed in is in serious need of an upgrade. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Room card had to be re-programmed 3 times whilst we were there (2 nights). Had issues with the room next to us, loud TV gone 11pm, reception staff not really too bothered.

I love their breakfast. Lots to options to choose from and it's tasty. I like where theroom is located. I love the size of the room and the sun shining through.

We have used this hotel before & stayed in the lower ground floor. This occasion we were situated on the 3rd floor. The rooms are much better here & bright & spacious. Used the pool area in the main hotel which was a bonus. We had an enjoyable 2 days at this hotel & would use again.

Unfortunatly the breakfast is now a buffet style which when we last stayed the hot breakfast was served streight from the kitchen which we prefer as its hot. The problem with the hot food being served buffet style it doesn't stay hot enough & if you are late at breakfast then its been sitting around for a while beforehand. Same with the cold breakfast if your a late arrival the milk for the cereal tend to be warm. Maybe a small fridge to keep the milk in would be a solution to this?

Not enough pillows they are to low for someone who can’t lay flat due to getting dizzy, And didn’t like the fact now got to pay £50 a night for any breakables that may happen, on top off the cost, there was nothing to say this with on booking the hotel, And doors was out off order all week that was there meaning you needed to walk round

The Lodge is next door to the main hotel so you can enjoy all the hotel facilities then return to the quiet lodge.

The lodge is slightly dated, comfortable and clean but slightly dated, however this is reflected in the price.
