Has cool little bar and water taxi is easy to catch . Room $$$ cheap as hell and close to the airport

Delicious breakfast. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, chocolate and little cakes in our room. Both me and my friend were celebrating a milestone birthday. Our room had amazing views, with great restaurants, firepits, a cute little convenience store, a ski hire shop and to die for spa treatments. This place was 10/10 !!

Rooms were very clean and the location was very close to restaurants. Nice and quiet away from the central Queenstown shops.

Quite expensive and a very small view of the lake, considering this was advertised as a lake front room.

We loved the lake view room. The little lounge and kitchenette were great. We loved how cosy the bed was.

They use strong cleaning products. We had to change rooms as the first room was so strong. The staff were very helpful with this though. The carpet was torn in our room but otherwise room in a good state.

The rooms are very small, and considering the amount we had to pay, they were not good value for money. Parking was not included, and we had to pay $20 per night for public parking.

View of concrete retaining wall from my room. You need to ask for the rooms with a view on the opposite side of the hall. Don't get confused between DoubleTree and main Hilton 5 mins walk up hill.

The staff were so pleasant and helpful. Nothing was an imposition. The location a little out of town however had plenty of facilities . Easy transport to the city via the water taxis.

Staff were absolutely.amazing and so friendly. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and well replenished.

Furnishings need refurbishing or replaced, bottom of the bed were ripped in plain sight and the couch uncomfortable after being on it for a short amount of time.

I was disappointed with my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown as it didn’t meet the standard I expected from the Hilton brand. When we first entered our room, there was a noticeable unpleasant smell. We assumed it might have been because the previous guest had checked out late, and since we were only using the room to sleep, we decided not to make an issue of it. Unfortunately, later that night we were repeatedly disturbed by loud door banging from the room next door, making it very difficult to sleep. We requested a room change, and I do appreciate that the hotel accommodated our request smoothly. However, I felt the receptionist wasn’t particularly willing to help at first. I was initially offered a twin room, which I agreed to, but then I was told a king room was actually available. That interaction left me feeling a little frustrated. The second room was much better—it was clean and had no unpleasant smell. However, the pillows had a strong damp, musty smell, almost as if they hadn’t dried properly. I really think the hotel should inspect and replace the pillows, as it affected the comfort of the stay. Overall, I expected a much better experience from a Hilton property. While I appreciate that the staff resolved the room change promptly, the room odour, noise issues, and the condition of the pillows left me disappointed.

Double Tree by Hilton is a superb accommodation to stay if you are visiting Queenstown. Affordable and view is awesome. Special shoutout to Jane and Shanin for being so accommodating and did an amazing job with cleaning out room.

Absolutely loved the location. Close to the airport as well as the city centre. My favourite thing was the view as I could see the mountains. Room was nice and spacious.

I do wish the tvs had access to Netflix but was happy there was a chromecast option.

The views are very nice, we were in room 329, so the windows have a direct view to the mountains. Modern room, we had a couch and kitchenette too. The wifi works fine, you can share the screen of your device to the TV for Netflix.

Overall things are good, just some things to keep in mind before booking: The location is rather secluded. Luckily the water taxi goes directly to the town centre, but yeah, no shops nothing nearby. The car drive to the centre can also take a long time. As of the room, the showerhead had a low pressure. TV could be smart, the screen sharing was rather inconvenient. There is an under the sink light in the bathroom that is motion detect, that you cant turn off. The bathroom door is glass sliding door, which gives virtually no privacy. No outlets near the bed. Also, there is 300 NZD security deposit while checking in, keep that in mind.

The breakfast was horrible. Very little options and no halal options. I've never experienced this with any hilton hotel before. Was quite dissapointed after having spent so much in the room with breakfast included.

The whole experience was very satisfactory. Radinka at reception was delightful and extremely helpful. She was a lovely host. The rooms were top notch clean. The amenities (including the Stacks and the pool and spa at Hilton were awesome). Parking was easy.

Room was spacious with a small kitchenette available to cook breakfast. Bed was comfy and room was rather clean.

There is a weird smell in the room. Location was out of Queenstown, might need to take a water taxi or uber over to the main town.

The property was right on the lake giving us some amazing views. We explored Queenstown during the day and coming back to a nice fresh warm room in the evenings was certainly a delight. Fresh water, towels and bedding was regularly changed. Our stay was certainly affordable too.This is our second stay here at the Hilton and we will certainly be back
