Location and our Suite was absolutely stunning! Very clean, very well maintained. Amazing!

The service could be better for the Price. We had to wait 30 minutes for a food order and it was only delivered when we asked to confirm order. The dinner in the evening was ok, the Fish too dry. Just expect more attention for an expensive 5 Star Facility to these details. But again, these are Details and we highly recommend the place!

Loved the secluded areas, the planting was beautiful in the grounds, loved the jacuzzi’s, and our room was just lovely.

The hotel is flawless. The front desk staff and all the staff are very nice and helpful. The property is magnificent, immaculate, and beautifully designed. Our villa was fantastic and spacious. And the beach and views are remarkable.

The marvellous location. A very beautiful and comfortable hotel situated in a cliff with two private beaches, one of sand and the other of rocks. Amazing place. Personal really nice and kind, just like the people of Sicilia.

The only thing I would suggest to improve are the pool loungers.

Some rooms need modernisation

The hotel s location is absolutely stunning. It is on a cliff across the bay from The old town of Syracusa It is beautifully maintained, spacious and clean We had our own little ground floor bungalow overlooking the bay and it was very comfortable and air conditioned. It was cleaned every day The staff were very courteous and polite The buffet breakfast was outstanding, fresh delicious food in abundance every morning The main restaurant ( dinner) was beautifully located on the terrace overlooking the horse shoe beach and the food was excellent and the staff were efficient and lovely ( Michele , Carla , Martina , I can’t remember all the names but they were super) The only thing that prevents me giving 5 stars is the remoteness of the hotel And the lack of availability of snacks and drinks of any kind except through the WhatsApp system Even water was €5 There was a tea/ coffee facility in the room but to have milk was €4 each time ordered to the room Also lunch , there is no beach snack bar eg smoothies, ice reams , pizza, toasties chips etc that you might normally have if you have half board. You have to order on the WhatsApp which for most people ( including ourselves) was very expensive. Eg A salad was €26 !! So all the extras really did add up for us Although the food was very nice for dinner, there is no dinner buffet there is only à la carte so for 7 nights this becomes very repetitive. Particularly for me a vegetarian and having no access to à shop where I would normally buy fruit cheese yogurt etc if the menu was limited ( I do realise that is my specific preference so would not effect most) But most hotels have some kind of shop to buy snacks, toiletries suncream etc but there is nothing nearby I saw on Google maps that there was a mini market 6 minutes drive away so I enquired at reception about getting a taxi there but was told it would cost me €60-€70 as the taxi had to come out from Syracusa!! So , no thanks So , overall I feel Minareto would be a fabulous place to stay for 2-3 nights but not a week

Dostaliśmy upgrade pokoju co było niezwykle miłe, czystość pokoi - na najwyższym poziomie, śniadanie naprawdę smaczne, super wewnętrzna komunikacja / personal-klient - niezwykle szybka pomoc. Genialne widoki, genialne plaże, cisza i spokój - jeśli tego szukasz, to trafiłeś idealnie

Ceny absolutnie wszystkiego, co jest już poza pakietem startowym/ napoje/ przekąski - drogie/ jakość vs cena, lekko przesadzone. Lokalizacja, dla niektórych na pewno atut jeśli szukasz spokoju i daleko od miasta. Tutaj trzeba pamiętać, że jest to ok 20-min od centrum i żadnego pobliskiego sklepu apteki w pobliżu. Poza tym naprawdę super miejsce.

Location is amazing, the territory is so beautiful - everything is green, relaxing areas/terrace, candles in the evening. Breakfast was really good, always fresh juice and bubbles, variety of the sweets/pastry. Jacuzzi with amazing view, especially on sunset. Two beaches - sandy and cliff. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stable WiFi connection. Easy communication with the reception via WhatsApp. Very quite and relaxing atmosphere

- We never got a single check for our orders, meals, drinks, etc., at the end you get a bill with total amounts and if you are not tracking it yourself, you might end up with several items added. We had to go through everything at reception and remove some of the items. Another guest next to us had the same problem. I really hope it is not intentional - We had asked for massages and it was really small area, where one doesn’t have a chance to relax afterwards and drink some tea or water. You just get kicked out afterwards - Only one restaurant on the property, and especially for a picky eater the options are very limited. The menu was the same everyday and got very boring during our stay. - The place really needs renovation and modernisation. Old appliances, limescale in the bathroom, rusty and broken sun beds. The hotel is charging for luxury but doesn’t match expectations. First day in one of our rooms we have discovered - the door could be easily opened without a key and leaking bidet. Resolving this required back and forth communication with the staff. But the water on the floor in the bathroom could have been noticed beforehand during the cleaning, couldn’t it? Also not critical, but it seems the hotel buys the cheapest toilet paper - The sandy beach is great, but half of it is open for public. The toilet was only for the hotel guests, so I guess non-guests were doing it in the sea. Also no changing rooms on the beach. - Some of personnel don’t speak English. After saying “I don’t speak English” and having an awkward moment, they would just leave. - Only 2 small bottles of complimentary water per day. And no convenience store on the property. We are just used to free water in the hotels of that level. This was very surprising for us In general we had only good memories about our stay. Just hope the hotel will be able to improve something based on our review

The seaside property of Minareto in Siracusa is one that you must experience! It is such a beautiful property, with views of Ortigia, a terrace that cascades right down to the sea, gorgeous flora and sunsets that are beyond breathtaking. Staff was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. L💛VE, L💛VE , L💛VE!

My partner and I came for 2 nights in our Sicily trip as a “treat” 5 ✰ luxury stay. We were not disappointed! The whole resort, restaurant, beaches and rooms were all outstanding. We used the boat taxi both days which was €25 return per person and worth it for the convenience of not having to drive and park and it was an experience in itself! We loved it and would definitely go back.

Das Restaurant mit Frühstück, Abendessen und Service war perfekt! Der Sandstrand ist etwas eng mit vielen Liegen. Der "Felsenstrand" ist sehr spektakulär. Das Design des Hotels und insbesondere der Gartenanlage ist sehr stylish, durchdacht und auf sehr hohem Niveau. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen mit Blick auf Syrakus. Mit dem Auto etwas entfernt - ca. 20 min. Das Hotel bietet auch ein Shuttleboot an.

Am Pool gab es zerrissene Auflagen bei den Liegen. Es gab zerbrochene Blumentöpfe. Dies sind kleine Mängel, aber bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie ist das nicht nötig. Das Personal an der Rezeption war im Gegensatz zu allen anderen etwas kühl und distanziert.

The hotel is a maze among publiv roads and private properties. Our pool was small and had no sunshine in the morning and the evening. And no voew. Even the main swimming pool has no viaw..

The Minareto is a dream! The views are stunning, the food is delicious, and the entire staff from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the poolside/beachside service was warm, welcoming and friendly. I cannot wait to plan my return!

An exceptional hotel in a truly spectacular location overlooking Ortigia and the sea. The scenery is breathtaking, especially at sunset. We stayed in a wonderful room next to the old lighthouse, which is still in operation and adds a very special atmosphere to the property. The service was outstanding throughout our stay — attentive, professional and genuinely warm. The breakfast buffet was probably the best we have ever experienced, with breakfast served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. A memorable and highly recommended place to stay in Sicily.

This hotel is so much better than 5 star! My partner and I stayed here for a week and every member of staff treated us like family and couldn’t do enough for us. They have thought of every single detail to make your stay personal and special. The food is exceptional the rooms are so clean and comfortable and we honestly did not want to leave. The best holiday I have ever been on and I’ve been on hundreds. We will be back 100%. We miss minareto already and we have only been home for three hours! The only disappointment was our inability to utilize the water taxi to Ortigia due to a scheduled wedding.

Dit hotel is een waanzinnige oase op een verder best druk en hectisch eiland. Werkelijk bijna alles is perfect, de groene tuin, de terrassen, de zitjes die je overal vindt, de verlichting, een prive jacuzzi, en zelfs eten bij kaarslicht op het strand als je dat wilt. Het personeel gaat tot het gaatje om je verblijf zo fijn mogelijk te maken. Waar je ook bent, er is altijd wel iemand die je een drankje brengt, of iets voor je wil dragen, of ergens mee helpen. En natuurlijk, dat mag ook wel, voor de prijs, want die is niet misselijk. Alles is dus in geweldig en eigenlijk zou ik normaal een tien geven, maar...

Het hotel ligt nogal afgelegen, en de auto staat op een valet parking, dus als je even weg wilt, moet de auto eerst gehaald worden en daarna zit je best even in de auto over een heel smal weggetje waar Italiaans gereden wordt ;-). Je kunt trouwens ook met een boot naar Siracuse nemen (geweldige ervaring en zeker een keer doen), maar om elke avond 50 euro neer te leggen voor een boottochtje van 10 minuten is simpelweg te duur. Die bootservice moet vind ik onderdeel zijn van het toch wel forse kamertarief. Dat geldt ook voor basisvoorzieningen. Als je aankomt krijg je een flesje water, maar daar blijft het bij. Je kunt wel water bestellen a 7 euro per halve liter of een bak chloor uit de kraan drinken. Met alle respect, maar als je bijna 400 euro per nacht betaalt voor een kamer, hoort dat er gewoon bij in te zitten. De kamers waren mooi, maar ook een beetje afgedraaid met wat achterstallig onderhoud. Wel werd allea perfect schoongemaakt en alle potjes en prulletjes mooi neergezet, handdoeken verschoond etc. Echt goed verzorgd. Het diner in het restaurant was prima, maar ook zeer aan de prijs, en de sommelier adviseerde uit de indrukwekkende wijnkaart (dikker dan een staatsbijbel) alleen maar wijnen van soms wel 200 Euro, en dat waren niet eens hele bijzondere, dus we namen gewoon de Nero D'avola voor 45 de fles, die helemaal prima was. Het ontbijt was overigens perfect en ook heel idyllisch op een terras met uitzicht over een van de oudste steden van de Griekse oudheid. Maar goed, misschien is het mijn Hollandse zuinigheid, maar ik vond veel zaken echt bizar duur (cola voor 7 euro en een cocktail 18 euro). Als ik de eigenaar was zou ik een paar kleine dingen 'service van de zaak' maken en dan vliegen de tienen je om de oren. Nu dus maar een 8, want het hotel en zijn omgeving, is los van de toch wel bizarre prijzen, wel een ervaring.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything from the rooms beach pool restaurant were amazing. We travelled with a baby and all the staff engaged with him. From the groundsman to waiting staff . He loved to wave to them. Breakfast buffet was extensive. Lunch and evening meal delicious. We would also like to thank staff that organised an ambulance when the baby was ill and checked up on his well being after.

This hotel offers stunning view on Old Town at Sirakusa’s Ortiga island. Minareto also has one the best designed and kept green areas. But … Rooms aren’t modern and it is clearly visible that renovation was cut off from the investment plans. With room rate around 400 EUR/night, the hotel offers free bottle of water in the room, just for the first day… But the worst experience was connected with hotel’s taxi boat. We decided to buy this offer to return from dinner at Sirakusa back to the hotel. Unfortunately weather conditions worsened quickly and such a transfer should be canceled by skipper. But he decided to embark almost 20 hotel’s guest, despite stronger and stronger wind. As long as we were within city walls, everything seemed to be OK. But last part of the transfer is on a short distance at open sea and the nightmare started. Big waves, no life jackets, no radio connection neither with port authority nor the hotel. We really were lucky to reach the hotel, but it has turned out that hotel dock … doesn’t exist. This is just one step made in a rocky part of the beach, with no option to dock the boat. So we were running of of the boat with skipper leaving steering wheel and engine working , while running to the front of the boat trying to help people to disembark. One BIG NIGHTMARE ! This was clear that profit of the hotel owner is much ahead of guest safety and satisfaction. We decided to inform about this accident port authorities as well as maritime department of city of Sirakusa

We were not overly satisfied with our stay. While the property is certainly impressive, it feels more like a production or event space rather than a peaceful escape. The location is in a remote area with limited access to nearby restaurants making your only Option for meals the overpriced hotel menu. The water taxi takes you to Ortigia where you can choose more but they charge 25 euro per person (a cost that the hotel should provide as a complimentary service in a 5 star hotel). While the breakfast was very impressive with fresh local ingredients, we were upset by our sheets having multiple stains upon arrival, strong cleaning odors, and no water being delivered to our room during turn down service. The hotel charges you for water and squeezes out everything they can get. We also requested towels while we were in the jacuzzi and they never arrived. We would recommend that you stay on the island of Ortigia instead.

Laufende Bauarbeiten

We could not recommend Minareto more! The room was just as advertised with gorgeous views across the water to Ortigia. The massages were amazing, and the private beaches, pool and jacuzzi meant we felt no need to leave the resort. Although the onsite restaurant was delicious, the staff were also kind enough to recommend other local restaurants and arrange transport to allow for some variation. The stand out of the trip however, was the amazing staff who went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We hope to return again some day!

We got an unexpected update to a dream house, with swimming pool and enough space for all of us. The private pool was unheated, the public pool was. The beach is clean (especially the rocky beach) but don't forget to take your water sandals. A shout-out to the cleaning team who do an excellent job!

There is a boat taxi to Syracuse, but it cost 25 Euros per person to use. That's 100 Euros pro family, every day - and you can't even choose the time to return (we had to wait 1,5 hour). You're better off taking an Uber.

Overly expensive especially dinner in restaurant. Over 70 euros for a very small market fish of the day with some grilled vegetables. Unnecessary to charge that much when it must have cost the hotel a few euros from the market. Cost of boat to Ortigia also over priced.
