Rawai Palm Beach Resort - SHA Extra Plus vs Similar Hotels

The rooms are very large and spacious, but some issues with amenities.

Rooms are clean but judged below 5* standard by one reviewer; some rooms face parking, lack basic kitchen utensils and show small finish issues.

Rooms described as spacious but showing wear: hard mattresses, broken furniture, outdated fittings and a need for renovation reduce the room quality score.

Cleaning can be much better in the rooms and the airco is super loud.

Rooms and bathrooms repeatedly described as clean ('pokoj czysty', 'alles sauber'); some minor maintenance defects noted (loose outlet frames).

Multiple comments about dirt, unkept areas, broken tiles in the pool, inconsistent room cleaning and dirty fridge/bathroom indicate below-average cleanliness.

A great location for a nice quiet resort with easy access to beaches and restaurants.

Location mentioned positively in multiple reviews and listed as a pro; nearby restaurant options somewhat limited but accessible by vehicle.

Consistently praised: very close to restaurants, beaches, seafood markets and shops; convenient local amenities make location a strong positive.

Staff is friendly and welcoming, providing a great effort for events.

Staff described as very friendly and helpful (arranged adjacent rooms); occasional communication issues and weak enforcement at pool; overall service strongly positive.

Mixed reports: several guests praised staff availability, but a few noted rude or unfriendly front-desk behaviour and deposit issues; overall staff are available and helpful most of the time.

The breakfast is absolutely horrible, and the other food ordered was very bad.

Breakfast widely praised as varied and tasty (Thai options, salad bar, fruit); hotel food generally positive in reviews though room service quality was criticized by one guest.

Few on-site F&B offerings; guests report no breakfast/restaurant despite listings and rely on nearby eateries, so hotel F&B is lacking.

The pool is amazing, and the hotel offers multiple pools and fitness center.

Strong family amenities: children's play area, excellent kids' pools, water park and rooftop pool with views; some crowding and limited shaded loungers reported.

Pool and bungalow layout are frequent positives (large pool, direct pool access), though some maintenance issues (chips/grouting, outdated pool area) and lack of on-site restaurant are noted.

The hotel was good value for money considering the amenities provided.

Good value noted thanks to Booking discounts (especially for breakfast); guests appreciated breakfast included pricing though some questioned full price value.

Mixed: some guests felt the hotel offers reasonable value due to location and pool, while others expected better for the price given the maintenance issues.
