Una habitación muy pequeña, en otros hoteles me han ofrecido una habitación más amplia... el baño con privacidad limitada, tiene rendijas por donde se observa quien está en el retrete o se está bañando... La cama muy blanda, me hundo en ella, prefiero camas más firmes.

All inclusive hotel on beach. 3 restaurants, sometimes 2 when they use the garden for outside buffet. Cater to more Mexican menu except in Italian. Breakfast buffet has a good variety. Beware of too many spicy dish options at lunch. Always ask. Food is satisfactory. We go out for a different variety as menu does not change-only at buffet. Great staff. Miguel Sandovar Viro, Carlos, Adilene, Roger in Italian, and Ranulfo at breakfast and lunch.

A delightful time at a delightful resort. Giovani was our server at the beach every day. He was wonderful, prompt with drinks and thoughtful.

This resort is average. It is very clean but dated - it could use a refresh. Our deluxe ocean view room had a wonderful view of the ocean and the pool area. The location is good, with shops and restaurants across the street. The restaurant and meal options are limited, it would be great if they varied the menus from day to day. The service in the restaurants is hit & miss. The resort plays very loud music late at night, and it can be heard throughout. Geovani gives EXCELLENT service on the beach in the palapa area, he is definitely a plus for this resort. We got a good deal on the package price, so overall it was enjoyable.

Very good, everything was incredible! Everyone was so nice and kind, Yessica of entretenimiento was very happy to was a very fun class in aquaribics.

We stayed about 10 days here. First, it is a fine hotel with good service and staff as many say. Good points - hot climate, courteous staff, good service, good food service at a la carte restaurants. No need to reserve at restaurants. Nice beach and easy walking access across the street to the small (touristy) town of Ixtapa. However there is only one pool and it gets uncomfortably crowded early with reserved chairs packed side by side in rows. There are also beach palapas. Pool staff will try to find you a chair and take away towels from reserved but unused chairs if you ask. They must make a watch on those who abuse the 1-hour limit as most do. Shade is at a premium. Restaurants - its a misnomer to claim "6 restaurants". The buffet is just divided into several sections. There is the Bluewater -good- and upstairs the more classy Italian Mario. There is a lunch "food truck" style burger/fries place. They do a nice buffet dinner in the garden area often before shows (not every night. ) Nice but probably would not go back because pool area is too hot and crowded. We did not take the Sun Club upgrade - it didnt seem worth it to have access to a small air conditioned bar and more snacks, and a restaurant area beside the Bluewater.

We just returned from a 14-night stay at Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa, and this was our second time staying here. Once again, we had a great experience. The resort is in a great location close to town, and the beach is fantastic. The staff truly made the stay — everyone was friendly, engaging, and genuinely welcoming. A special shoutout to Genovani for the beach bar service; he was always pleasant, fun, and personable, and really added to our time on the beach. Agustina, our maid, did an excellent job as well — our room was always very clean and done quickly. This isn’t a 5-star resort, but it’s very reasonable for the price and offers great value thanks to the outstanding staff. We would definitely go back.

The staff is the only reason I would go back to this resort. As we all know, staff can make or break a trip. I have been on numerous All inclusive destinations, all over mexico, cuba, and Dominican, this one hands down has the best staff. All staff were fantastic, huge shout out to Victor, Simon, Raymund, Irvin and Silvano, provided service with a smile, they kept tabs on who was next for service, and the drinks were consistent and tasty. The restaurant service, was great, it makes a big difference when the staff are friendly and make jokes. Especially the ladies in the Italian restaurant ! we ate there twice and service was top notch! no reservations required for the restaurants, it's first come first served, that is greatly appreciated. no towel cards required, and best yet NO wrist bands! The staff knows who should be there. The AC in our room worked great, our room actually got too cold, until we reset the thermostat. overall the food was meh at best, I was able to find good food for every meal, not a giant selection, but if you pick between you won't go hungry. it's solid 3 star food. a few small tweaks would elevate the experience. the beach at the resort is great for walking, the central location is great, and did I mention how great the staff is ? 100% would recommend this hotel just for the staff.

The location pool and beach are awesome. The rooms were clean but dated . The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The food was below average.

We just came back from 14 fantastic days there. Great food, awesome weather and good amenities. Rooms are nice, very nice and friendly staff.especially Magela,Jessica,Naydelin and Jhovany. Unfortunately they need more ping pong lessons lol. Thanks for the great time.

We stayed here for the first time from December 4th to 15th, 2025. First, things that make you scratch your head: - The entire resort doesn't have Mezcal, Corona or Modello....😒 - Men cannot wear tank tops to the breakfast buffet and shirts must have sleeves...even though women can wear bathing suit tops/spaghetti straps in the restaurant. Makes no sense... The Wonderful: - All of the staff are absolutely fantastic ❤️and we really enjoyed them especially the superb beach bar service by Geovanni and Adeline/ Carlos in the Italian restaurant. Whether its at breakfast, lunch or dinner, ALL the staff are super helpful and friendly. - Magdalena made me some memorable omelets every morning 😋 - Please don't forget to tip your servers: you'd do that at home - I know it's an all inclusive...but the people deserve recognition for outstanding service. -Many of the staff are working on speaking English, so I really enjoyed practicing my Spanish on them. Miscellaneous notes/tips/advice: -This whole strip of hotels is busy and can be a bit loud at night if you're not into the nightlife. There were 6 weddings while we where there and even on the 17th floor, the music from the disco/beach/Emporio Hotel can be heard in the room. - You may want to ask for a room on the west side and if you're a light sleeper, bring some silicone earplugs with you. - The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The housekeeping staff does a great job of making that happen 👍 -Swimming was excellent...love bobbing in the ocean - The Combi's are a great system to get around. Cost is 37 pesos and the drivers are most helpful if you let them know where you want to go. Bottom Line: We'd go back if the price was right. Would've given a 3 1/2 ⭐s if I could and the reason its not a 4 ⭐ is because of the beverages I couldn't get and the music that could be heard in the room in the evenings.

We had an incredible experience here at sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa. The beach is beautiful, and the pools are refreshing. The food is delicious, staff are polite and friendly. Juan Rivera was exceptionally helpful and courteous. He went above and beyond our expectations and went out of his way to provide us with 5 star service. We will definitely return for another beach vacation. Also be sure to visit Raymundo at the pool bar, he serves some delicious cocktails!

This was my second trip to the Sunscapes Dorado Pacifico in 2025. First trip was a "Mixed-Friends" (guys & gals) in March 2025, where we met the most excellent Beach Bartender, Geovani! The next trip was this past November 2025, "Girl's Only", and guess who are "Most Excellent Beach Bartender" was again? You guessed correctly, Geovani! He is by far, the most attentive and creative Bartender I have experienced, not just on the beach but anywhere....thank you so much Geovani! Already looking forward to planning another trip ☺️

Just returned from a 2 week vacation at Sunscape Dorado Pacifico. I really cannot think of one complaint! We had a couple issues with our room, that were dealt with immediately. The staff were probably overall the best we have seen! It was very busy, but the staff were all smiling and very attentive. The staff that stood out for us were Zenon and Jesus. Bell boys that went above and beyond with information and help. Also they were very pleasant and quite amusing. The other one that stood out was Larissa. She seated us every morning for breakfast, and was working at the snack bus at lunch. Always remembered our room number and preferences. Such a beautiful young woman, and putting a lot of effort into learning English. Which she was doing very well. Food was very good. Room was very clean and nice. Good a/c. ALL the staff were excellent. Would definitely go back.

Not enough shade. Food was just average and very few choices. Eating dinner at 7 pm is too late Music is loud and go on till 12 or 1 am

Our room was on the 19 th floor and had a gorgeous view of the water and beach. The timing could have been better as the hotel was undergoing maintenance while we were there. Such as the buffet being closed and the electrical system turned off. We had exceptional bar service on the beach with Giovanni , he went above and beyond making us feel very comfortable and special

Great location and very clean hotel but the food is mostly inedible. Stayed for a week with Mom over Thanksgiving. We’ve been coming to Ixtapa for 40 years on family trips; after MUCH research gave Sunscape a shot. Positive: VERY clean, the maids are amazing and Alma was wonderful. The beach chairs and sunbeds are nice and Giovanni was an awesome server. English is pretty common and the staff worked really hard to make sure you have what you need. Beds were comfy, AC was strong. Location is great, on a gorgeous spot of the beach and walkable to most everything in town in minutes. Negative: We got food poisoning on day two at lunch and only ate breakfast at the hotel the rest of the week. Honestly, the food at Sunscape is god awful. Most of the meat is questionable and simmering in water/sauces. We got sick from the water grill “freshly made to order” fish that was just awful. The lighting in the bathroom is so bad you can barely see yourself. It’s an olddd hotel. If you are spending USD $400+ a night on a hotel that includes food - it should be edible. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and many all inclusives, and instead of totally relaxing we had to eat two meals out a day at local restaurants. I would only recommend Sunscape to anyone fine with eating most of their meals out.

I stayed at the sunscape resort thanksgiving break. The staff were so nice including Ivan, Luis, Victor, Angel, Naydelli, and Jhovanny, all from the entertainment team. One thing that was disappointing was that the beach had a red flag my entire trip, meaning we were advised to not go in the beach since the waves were too big. The pool and beach games were so much fun including beach volleyball, water polo, and water volleyball. The entertainment team had such fun games every day. They made me and my friends feel so welcomed as soon as we arrived. The food and drinks team was amazing also. I loved the variety of food choices every meal. The cleaning team was so amazing. It felt great to come back to a clean room after a long day in the sun. The spa was so relaxing and an enjoyable and peaceful escape. All of the staff in general were so nice and welcoming. The front desk would always let us borrow card games or answer any of our many questions. Thank you sunscape for such an incredible stay.

Great stay with kids! Naidelin and crew kept kids and adults busy and fun at the pool area every day! Cooking classes every other day were super tasty! We will make the salsa the same way from now on( with dark beer and tequila)!

My stay at Sunscape Dorado Pacífica was absolutely unforgettable, and the biggest reason for that was the entertainment team. From the moment we arrived, Ivan and Luis were such great additions—friendly faces who instantly made every activity more fun. Jhovanny was always smiling and cracking us up, bringing so much joy to every moment. Naydelli was incredibly sweet and kind, and Magela’s endless energy kept the games lively and exciting. And then there’s Angel, whose diva-level dancing could brighten anyone’s day. He truly brought joy to our eyes every single performance. Of course, I can’t forget Victor, who leads the team with so much humor and charisma. He had us laughing constantly. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire stay was spending time with the entertainment team. And let’s be real—after all those activities and competitions, we all know who the real winner was (yes… me). Next up, the food and drinks team was amazing. The cooking classes were such a fun and unique touch, and I loved the variety of food options throughout the resort. The soft serve machine became a daily stop for us! Every bartender was so welcoming, especially both Victors, who not only made fantastic drinks but also took the time to learn our names, making us feel like part of the family. There was also a bartender named Ivan at the pool bar who stood out—he mixed some of the best drinks and always took a moment to chat with us. And let’s not forget the snack machine, which became our go-to spot for fries at any time of day. The cleaning team also deserves a huge thank-you. Coming back to a fresh room each day was such a treat, especially when they left chocolates—little details that made the stay even more special. The spa was incredibly relaxing and such a peaceful escape. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. Finally, the staff in general—every person at the front desk or walking around the hotel—was warm, welcoming, and always happy to say hi. They even put up with the chaos of our very competitive Jenga games! Thanksgiving week is always a time for me to reconnect with friends, shake off stress, and just enjoy life. This hotel helped us do exactly that. We had the most fun, laughed endlessly, and made memories that will stay with us. Thank you, Sunscape Dorado Pacífica. I truly enjoyed my stay, and I hope to see all the wonderful staff again someday.

Margarito was really kind, attentive and amazing! The food was cooked just right. The surprise ‘coffee’ at the end tasted like a liquid tiramisu. Would recommend!!!

Izahorhi served the best cappuccinos and mocachinos and was the bright part of our morning. Truly an exceptional employee.

The location of the resort is awesome however that is the only thing this resort has going for it. The resort itself needs to be be updated and cleaned. The pool was usually dirty and a lot of the common areas were dirty as well. With stained cushions ect. The food definitely lacked luster or variety. The food options were really low quality. They advertise an adults only restaurant but each time we went there were kids. The buffet was very limited. I have never seen that few choices in a buffet in all my travels. We booked the Sun Club Oceanview Deluxe Room and that was a joke. It was a partial Oceanview at best over looking the kids splash zone. The beds are small. 2 doubles so if you are bigger or taller this could pose a big issue. Besides the lounge with premium drinks there was nothing worth the upgrade. We actually paid to upgrade again just to have a decent room with a decent view. We couldn’t have stayed for a week crammed into the original room we were given. They wouldn’t accommodate a change unless we paid. As for amenities at this resort I really can’t comment. The pool area was not very clean. The chairs were limited. We even ran into times where we couldn’t get a towel. Ixtapa is beautiful and I cannot wait to rerun. We have been here 4 times already. We just won’t ever go back to the Sunscape.

We were at the Sunscape Resort, Ixtapa Mexico! Best service, our waitress Aylin was sensational! She went over and above to cater to us, as one of our party had allergies to onions! The whole crew was great! Definitely would recommend this resort and servers we had!

Loved this resort! The hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. The food was tasty and all restaurants were accommodating to my daughter (9) who has celiac disease (gluten allergy). There were even enough options for my son (13) who is less than adventurous at meal time. Service was great on all levels, and had so much fun with the entertainment group who was out doing daily activities at the pool area and beach, such as zumba, aerobics, volleyball and water polo. Special shout out to Nai & Angel of the entertainment group who are super fun and engaging! I'd totally recommend this resort.

Dear fellow traveller’s, I returned to revisit Ixtapa and stayed at Sunscape & The Thompson this trip . I frequently stay at Secrets , Hyatt and the Excellence Collection & a few other brands and this was my first time visiting Sunscape. I was pleasantly surprised by Sunscape in all areas with a few minor details. The Staff are the Stars of the resort with their dedication to providing Exceptional Hospitality! The Chief Concierge Christofer Delgado was Impressive and professional and one of the key reasons in making this a Fantastic resort to revisit! I see a Very Bright Future in the Hospitality industry and expect Christofer will be a General Manager soon for whatever brand he chooses! Christofer’s Concierge Team is Excellent and they all were Amazing and True representatives of Genuine Mexican Hospitality! My Oceanfront Suites and Presidential Suite were spotless and well appointed and I Loved the Gorgeous views! Many thanks to the Housekeeper Team and especially Florencia for their great attention to caring for us guests!⭐️💕⭐️ All the Bartenders are Fantastic especially Thomas and the other Bartenders in the Sun Club 🥂❤️🥂Lounge . Tasty snacks and the ceviche was delicious!🧑🏻‍🍳 The beach club was a top notch choice for breakfast and lunch and the Service was Fabulous by all the Wait Staff and Anna was Amazing !!!💕 I enjoyed my meals at Bluewater Grill and the Staff were great! Dinners at Da Mario were always good and the Service was Excellent! The Lasagna was delicious!🧑🏻‍🍳 Coca Cafe was great for goodies and Lattes!🍰 Tamarindo was unfortunately closed so I missed out on my Favourite Mexican delicacies. I see it is still closed and that’s disappointing 😭 Windows had a nice assortment of foods and I hope to see a little more care in foods being covered and properly handled.🧑🏻‍🍳 All the Sunscape Team members are the Stars of the resort and the Bellmen are Fantastic and super nice and welcoming!!!! I am returning in a few days and looking forward to seeing Everyone!!! Ignacio was great! He really livened up our dinners and made us some flaming bananas foster. Made this entire trip worth it. As far as the hotel, the themed nights were the best I've experienced in the hotel area. Food was great and offered VEGAN options!!! I was so excited about that. Kitchen managers came by to check on us a couple of times throughout our stay so that was a nice touch. We appreciated the attention on top of everything that was already so great and detailed. I'd come here again!

Absolutely love it here. Great hotel, great, friendly staff, clean rooms and marvelous food. The only detractor may be the air conditioning was a bit sub par in our room. It struggled to keep up with heat and humidity.

The ocean view, the instalation, the pacific and the service made our trip a really special one. The food and amenities are really nice. Highly recommended as destination in Mexico. I'm mexican and I can really recommend the hotel and the location. Ixtapa/Zihua is an awsome place to chill and rest.

I went with my family in May,for the first time here. I must say we had a very pleasant trip. The food, beach, and most of all the staff were fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to any family with young kids. One of the staff members, Daniela, was exceptionally helpful and spoke English well.

Just ate at the Bluewater Grill and the service was outstanding. Specifically, Christian, Patricia (Paty), and Javier went above and beyond during our dining experience and even helped us celebrate our anniversary. Next time you are here, make sure to ask for Christian and order the flaming coffee! He put on quite a show and it was delicious as well. High recommend!

This is s 3.5 star hotel, needs lots of improvement, especially in the food options and facility maintenance. Nice beach though

If you like pickleball, this is the resort for you. 4 courts and organized play with players from other resorts. The food and service is good. Not enough loungers in the shade. People have the ones in the shade reserved by 6am. They should move a few to the grassy area under the palm trees where the nightly shows are. Also if a loungers has not been used for 2 hours they should be made available. It's 90 degrees and you burn very fast. The water is very rough, but you can take the bus to beaches with calmer water

My husband and I chose this hotel to celebrate his birthday and our first wedding anniversary, which fall on the same week, and we did not regret it! We loved the hotel, its facilities, the staff, the food, everything! From the moment we arrived til the moment we left, we felt so relaxed and happy, and we were treated exceptionally! We would love to stay here again in the future!

The only thing that we weren't very satisfied with was the Wi-Fi. We couldn't connect to it because it was always saturated, but we didn't really need it because we had already decided to use our phones minimally, so it wasn't a huge problem. It instead helped us stay off the internet.

En general es bueno, las áreas limpias, las habitaciones son cómodas solo con algunos detalles de falta de mantenimiento, el acceso a la playa es muy cómodo y las albercas limpias, el personal se esmera en una buena atención. Los detalles en contra, si es temporada alta hay que hacer fila en los comedores, particularmente para desayunar en el buffet, la comida cumple, sin llegar a ser muy buena, el restaurante italiano es rico, pero la carta es muy limitada. Lo peor, el horario de las actividades, a las 5:00pm ya no hay actividades de juegos, tenis, etc. ya que a esa hora se van los animadores, la alberca la cierran a las 7:00pm, por lo cual después de ese horario no hay mucho que hacer para niños y jovenes. Para adultos solo el Bar.

We had a great time. Upgraded to the Sunclub. Great room on 21 floor with an ocean view. Beds were very comfortable. Pool was amazing. Sunclub beach and lounge area was excellent and worth the upgrade. Having the private upgraded beach area and private restaurant and bar was wonderful. We got to know the amazing Sunclub Lounge staff who looked after us every day & Odette, Alicia, Emmanuel, Ignacio, Misael and Pedro. The sand is amazing, water is clean. The only downside is the surf was rough but we walked down to the end of the beach by the rocks to swim and it was lovely.

Third time at resort so knew what to expect on arrival. Welcome staff are great and manage large crowds on check in really well, we were Sunclub and got special check in privileges. Oceanfront Sunclub Family suite offers best ocean view out of two large balconies, curtains are melting in hot sun falling apart only issue with room. King bed offers firm mattress and nice pillow, allows for a comfortable sleep at night. During our stay the air conditioning broke down, 1st day hotel advised all guests of issue and was fixed on second night. This was not fault but was a terrible two days and nights out of our stay. Hotel is in need of a renovation, Hyatt needs to invest some pesos on this place to keep the many returning guests coming back. Food is average nothing exceptional to mention. Highlights: location, beach and friendly staff. Shout out to our Amigo Giovanni at the beach, always laughing and goes extra mile to learn everyone’s name. At main restaurant we had privilege of being served by Aylin. Loved her she was so friendly and always helpful and took care of us each time we were there. Nice resort and great location, worth staying if you do not have high expectations. Lots of options for having good meals within walking distance of hotel. It’s a fun resort for mature adults and resort is popular with Mexican families.

Enjoyed every breakfast and most lunches at the Beach Sunclub. All the staff were excellent! Alicia was welcoming and very helpful with our food choices, and trying to help us out with our Spanish. Waiters Emmanuel,Ignacio and Misael were also very attentive and fun to chat with. Bar tender Pedro kept my husband happy with top shelf drinks and my special blended drinks of the day. Hostess Odette was always smiling and welcoming to greet and seat you at the table of your choice.

Went to the Sunscape for 3 weeks to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed at this resort 7 years ago and just loved everything about it so thought we would go back. Everything was fine except for the food. The Italian was good but the buffet was always cold and the same everyday. The egg station was excellent and tasty. Talked to many guests and they all complained about the food. All the staff were amazing and very friendly but Ariadna was spectacular. Other then the food we still had an amazing time but will probably not be returning to the resort.

The property was nice the staff was great! Some areas from the outside needed some touch up. With all honesty I did not like the food at all, it was so bland I was expecting Mexican food but it was nothing like I expected it.

Save your money don’t stay here it was horrible customer service our room was leaking from the restroom roof and they didn’t want to change us rooms!! Also when I showered only cold water came out! The food was horrible as well!

This resort is in a perfect location. Easy quick walk to shopping, other restaurants, groceries. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The SunClub is a nice touch for selective drinks, snacks and seating. Raymundo and Simon at the swim up bar are the very best. Lots of activities and entertainment if you chose.

Upon arrival you are greeted with smiles and helpful staff to gather luggage and help you to check you in. English speaking friendly staff in the front of the hotel. Unfortunately you are then inundated with staff required to offer you specials and deals they offer through the hotel, and do not take “no” for an answer easily. Throughout the rest of your stay anytime you walk through the front to the elevator to get to your room, you will be offered deals and promotions. This gets very tiresome over a weeks time. The hotel itself is dated and was constantly being under repair in various spaces throughout the hallways and ceilings. The amazing part about this hotel is the staff and food. I am vegan and was worried about not having choices during my weeks stay, But I had nothing to worry about. The chefs prepared special breakfast, and dinners for me everyday upon request. The food was always fresh and delicious. Served with love and care. The staff there was amazing and I’d love to give a shout out to the people who made an impact during our stay. It Is okay nice hotel but kind small in the pool area ,the host at the restaurants kind of rude to others waitress when they try to give us better seating for the family they seem unorganized on the restaurants service, very unhappy workers

Nice location, conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The property was well maintained but dated.The buffet was as expected for an all inclusive resort. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Like the small.nature of the resort and the amount of dining amenities on site. Rooms with balconies was appreciated

Needs updating

We stsyed just one night to enjoy Superbowl. Party was wonderful, service excellent, food so so, drinks plentiful and very average, typical all inclusive. Problem with people reserving lounges around pool still persists. Overall this is a typical all inclusive, rather average wigh very nice staff. Beware of the time share people, just say NO.

The restaurants are not staffed to properly accommodate the volume of guests. The pool was dirty and the floor of the pool was damaged in several areas. Many wanted to play water vollyball but the balls were waterlogged and extremely heavy. For a large resort to NOT replace a $10 volleyball is a bad look. The maid staff was very friendly, and hard working. The restaurant servers and the food truck employees were doing the jobs of two people, which made service very poor. The food quality is a bit less than average, The bell hops, and doormen were great. The servers working the coffee bar/snack stand were all very nice. The property needs to be refurbished, the only redeeming quality is the hard working staff. The concierge was excellent!

Wonderful staff! It’s just too bad that their management still makes them all wear masks, feel so bad for them.

First time staying at this resort and it was absolutely awesome!! The staff is so friendly and eager to please their guests. My partner and I were treated excellent. Nayelli the bar waitresses was incredibly kind and attentive. Our pool side waiters Ignacio and Alexander were also very kind and attentive. They walk away saying “my pleasure.” The fish tacos and the hot dog (gourmet) at the snack truck were delicious!! I thought the buffet’s were well maintained and the food was good. Remember to tip your service workers!!

This is our 3rd time to this exact resort and we love it. Safe and can cross street into downtown to visit other entertainment establishments (Frank's Bar, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. Resort is clean and secure. Walks on the beach are fanastic. Our favorite is they just installed 4 pickleball courts and have one tennis court. Great resort and we will go back next year!

The property is central and even distance between ZUI and Playa Linda, both of which I like to go when I stay. You can walk across the street for shopping, music and food. The options are great. The transportation is wonderful. So easy to take the bus, taxi or walk. People, staff and locals alike were very nice and willing to help. I would recommend staying.

I was expecting more for what we paid. They were busing people in to try out the property so they had paid next to nothing, we paid and the food was sub par. Will not go again. All inclusive is a fraud

we have been going there since 2013 and slowly declining food is terrible ran out of food at buffet...stuff is great ...owner cutting back just to make money....covid test $50,00 PER PERSON can get it at airport for $25.00....not very happy

A very aloof approach to customer service. Also property claims to be “all inclusive” and then everything is an additional fee including Internet, room service, etc. Also, food was TERRIBLE! Consistently bland across the board. Many of us felt this way; I wasn’t alone. We also had an incident where my son was bullied by resort staff to pay a taxi driver 200 pesos for returning a lost wallet. They called him a “baby.” It was a terrible experience.

This hotel is terrible is dirty old and if they are fixing something they just do a Mickey mouse. It was outdated bugs in the room in the hallways and the balcony. The elevator was okd and dirty.

Food was terrible, seems like they reheat all the time the food, then no pools for adults, full of kids all the time, no good alcohol, definitely don’t recommend this hotel.

The service was amazing and the whole atmosphere of this hotel was inviting since we arrived. The one bad experience was the food. None of the food was an authentic mexican taste. They serve chilaquiles but didnt have a taste is was just plain tomatoe sauce with tortillas and onion and they drownednit in crema and cheese to make it taste better. They had no tortillas handmade, no carne asada or pollo asado for like buffet style tacos and salsa either. No chile verde, no chips and salsa, no guacamole. They serve different foods chicken, meat pork, salad and fruits and breakfast buffets but the buffets and a la cart restaurant did not have any good food. The da mario restaurant they have we tried 5 different plates and nothing had a taste of wow it was just basic. The staff was amazing especially the server at the coffee bar she always had a inviting and welcoming attitude and you could tell she made a great effort to pearn english. She made my kids feel welcomed and learn to ask in spanish which i loved. The pools are great and all the servers while in the hotel are very attentive. They have alot to offer and I wish we had a better experience with the food to come back because my family loved it. We didnt even want to leave the hotel to explore Zihuatanejo they madenit worth are entire stay with the hospitality and entertainment at the hotel.

I enjoyed the Sunscape Resort it's my favorite place to go I retired and moved to Ixtapa and I always get a chance to have 2 days or 3 days relaxation and I love the staff that's there they know me the service is outstanding the resort is beautiful I'll be back soon

this is a nice and clean hotel with great views, but due to the pandemic they are short staff and restaurants are very inconsistent, the open on different dates and menu changes constantly, I would say wait till the pandemic ends before going so you may have a better experience than I did.

I wrote a great review the first day after a great check in and nice welcoming room but that was it. There after it was disappointing even upsetting due to rudeness and condescending treatment from some staff members..at check in I asked, and was offered the required travel covid19 test for free ..but was asked to pay $50 usd. When i tried to make the appt., To have it done, I wast told "sorry for the miss- information, its free to long stay customers only ". I also was humiliated and singled out at the italian, ala carte restaurant for wearing crocks when many were being admitted wearing flip flops, i was boldy treated by the 2 young hosts at of the restaurant and the manager told me to step aside, that I was "wearing plastic shoes "!!!. He asked me to leave and ignored me when I pointed out that others flip flops were also plastic. After complaining to the on duty Mgr. Whom was nice and sympathetic, a nice but unrequested dinner was sent to my room...I felt as if I was a lectured and grounded child who was being fed in her room after getting in trouble...it was disgusting...i was traveling solo and felt miserably treated. Half of the staff were wonderful, mostly the ones who did labor, the others, such hosts and desk staff are rude. sorry won't be back nor will i recommend it.

The staff was incredible; personable, accommodating, and caring. The hotel was extremely clean, on site restaurants were excellent (again, the service was high quality), and the location provided many opportunities. The events coordinator(s), Ramaro & Jesus were engaging and friendly. The head concierge, Jorge did everything possible to make us feel comfortable. Pool, drinks, food...everything was GREAT!

This our 3rd time in Ixtapa, 2nd at the Sunscape and we will plan to return soon. Ratings are a little lower this year on the staff and service only because a lot of things at the resort were shut down because of the lack off people on vacation-coronavirus. No fault of Sunscape’s management, but service by select staff individuals could have been better. I’m chalking that up to the virus as well.
