Great staff and the location is absolutely amazing. Paco went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time.
Had a great experience staying here. I was in the Blue Room which is right next to the kitchen but as I am an early riser the sounds didn’t bother me (as they start prepping shortly after 6am). The room was small but had everything I needed and it was quiet which, for Getsemani, is fabulous. It is very close to the restaurants and action but far enough away to be comfortable. The staff were so wonderful- welcoming and happy to help out with anything. Paco has great English which was really helpful. Overall I can happily recommend staying here and just be careful to not disturb either of the two turtles who live here!!!
Unique gem in Cartagena's artsy Getsemaní! 🌿 A charming family-run hotel in the heart of Getsemaní, perfect for soaking up the artistic vibe. Father and son, were always super helpful and made my stay wonderful. My rooms, "Provence," was lovely – and the "Mexico" room next door looked like a fiesta! 😊 I also had the first studio more spacious then all others with the little kitchenette but I don't remember now the name. I think from all, Mexico was my favorite for the shower under the stars and the decorations. - The hotel: Great breakfast to start the day, location was a big plus. The core had a "little jungle" feel, with cute turtles roaming around. Each room was uniquely decorated with theme-matching details, photos, and books. A little jacuzzi on the second floor to cool from the heat. - *Carnaval bonus*: I experienced my first Carnaval here – colorful, noisy, music-filled! _Might be a bit much if you’re after super-safe crowds, but it added to the magic._ - Would I return? In a heartbeat for the charm ..the people and location! Highly recommend this little hotel for culture-lovers and those wanting a cozy, unique stay in Cartagena.
Beautiful boutique, hotel/bed-and-breakfast in the heart of the beautiful city of Cartagena. We stayed here for five nights and had a very pleasant stayThe hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The air conditioning workedso well, which is really a must as Cartagena can be very hot. You’re able to walk to all of the tourist attractions everything is a short walk away our host, Paco and Luis Were so nice friendly and gave us great recommendations on everything they were there if we needed them 24 /7breakfast was included in the hotel and the breakfast was great lots of great choices and fresh local fair. The location couldn’t have been better. You walk right outside your door and you’re in the heart of everything that Cartagena has To offerThey also picked us up from the airport at no extra charge, which was great if you’re planning a trip to Cartagena stay at this hotel you will love it. Ask for Paco and Lewis. Tell them the crazy American sent you.
Great Boutique Hotel/bed and breakfast in the heart of Cartegena...we stayed here for 5 nights and absolutly loved it. The staff were all so kind Paco and Luis were there to answer all of our questions and gave great recommendations on everything from where to dine and excursions to the islands The rooms were quite nice spacious and very clean..and breakfast was included and delicious..with so much food and fresh juices. The location was spot on right in the heart of the coolest hippest area and a short walk to all of the sites and attractions. If going to Cartegena stay here you will not be disappointed ask for Paco and Luis
Even though I did not stay in the hotel, I used a guided tour from the establishment. It was extremely prompt, friendly and uncomplicated. The tour was a unique personal experience, very individual. Next time I’m there, I’ll be staying there and I’d definitely book another tour there.
I don’t recommend this place. The room was significantly different from the photos. It was tiny compared to the pics. The service people were very kind, but I think that’s standard in Colombia. We found cockroaches in the room. We left early. We didn’t want to be there.
What a magical place. Despite being right in the heart of everything you want to do or see, it was so quiet. The creative touches of the decor, kindness of staff, delicious breakfast prepared with care, and turtle friends made it blissful. Paco went above and beyond to share recommendations. Thank you!
Beautiful clean room La Mer in a very quirky house. I loved the open shower, the turtles, the jaccuzi on the roof top, the owner and staff were extremely helpful. The street was quiet yet very close to the restaurants and bars. Getsmani is a very lively interesting neighbourhood full of history. Loved our stay.
It’s a gem! The family and staff tending the hotel could not be more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and even though the hotel is small the rooms are large and very comfortable. Beautiful place!!
Very knowledgeable owner who can speaks multiple languages ! Friendly staff (and turtles), beautifully styled rooms and great breakfast!
I always come back to this small hotel nestled in the middle of the Getzimani neighbourhood of Cartagena. The rooms are sparklingly clean, each one has a different concept and you can see the owner cleaning and maintaining the property himself, or chatting with you over breakfast. It is a concept integrated with nature, which makes you really feel the good vibe of Cartagena, without the noise facing other similar hotels. I truly belive that this is one of the best deals one can have in Cartagena. And a very authentic one for a very convenient price.
Our second stay at Les Lezards. Both stays have been outstanding! Cleanliness, service, and hospitality are above and beyond. Perfect safe location, walking distance to everything. Marcus, Paco and their staff are top notch, and make you feel at home. Highly recommend this B & B for comfort, service quality, location and hospitality.
This place is amazing! It was an oasis for us especially after getting sick at our stay on Isla Baru. The family is kind and sweet and go the extra mile for you. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable. My only regret is that we did not get to stay here longer.
It was such a lovely stay. The staff was so friendly, very attentive and helpful. I would stay there again, highly recommend.
Pros: 1. Good breakfast albeit with limited options but very tasty. The cooks we had are very friendly. They showed concern for the one time we didn't show up for breakfast, they alone are 5 star. 2. The location is right in the middle of the Getsemani neighborhood. 3. Free taxi to the airport after our stay but with a caveat (see below). Cons (here we go): 1. The room is dirty, they never clean the floor. 2. The bewd sheets and toilet paper are never replenished unless you ask. If you never ask for toilet paper, you will never have any... Things that are common sense don't happen. You HAVE to ask for everything even things you wouldn't normally ask. 3. Strange men all of sudden work there and then you never see them again. Oh and they have access to the key to your room... 4. Common sense is so lacking! They opened the door without knocking when we were in there. 5. NO AC! There's a mini split that is facing the wrong way and your room won't cool. We were in the Up in the Sky Suite (this detail is important for later also). We sweated ALL 9 days with no comfort. Also, they turn off the air as soon as you leave, so you come back to a sauna. Maybe they should lie and put spa in their description also... 6. The shower situation... It is an outdoor shower and bathroom, so you sweat when you shower which was expected in this situation, but this wasn't the problem. You are below the roof line of the surrounding buildings so people can watch you shower! We had to shower at night and the times where we had to shower in the morning, I had to cover my wife with a towel over the window, so nobody could see. An added plus, the water pressure dropped in the city for a few hours and that happens, but for HOURS we weren't told and the water shut off covered in soap in the shower one evening... 7. The construction next door... this one is not necessarily their fault, but this problem will continue for a few months for the next guests so its worth mentioning. Aside from the usual problems at a construction site like noise at all hours, the work area is eye level with the shower so yes I caught a few construction workers gawking into the bathroom while we were in there. Horrible. 8. This suite is next to the small community hot tub so they go at all times of the night and are really loud. 9. No real front desk by the way so if you catch a worker at breakfast is the only time we could voice concerns. 10. Yes there was a free taxi at the end as a shuttle, but it came after they quoted 80.000 pesos or $20 USD (uber black is half of that by the way), but to have a for sure experience I said yes. Their personal driver was going to take us but he couldn't. The guy that sells the tours (he comes up in the next point) then offered to take us for the same amount and then we are waiting outside at 4:00 AM, he comes out of the building in PJs and says that another driver is coming when we need to have left already! Oh and it was a taxi which costs like $3 to the airport. I was gonna cause a fit if the taxi costs $20 USD, but upon seeing my distress, he said he would pay for it... 11. I saved the best for last, so I hope you are here. They push the tours in the area fiercely like everyone else in Cartagena, so we got hooked on one. It wasn't great, but it did work out, so that's fine. However, since they seemed honest (at first), we decided to book another tour at 600.000 pesos or $150. They mentioned options that were not needed but recommended. We declined and paid the 600.000. I get a message saying that we now have to pay an additional 250.000 for food and an "optional" tour guide. This trip was more expensive than visiting the islands there that includes FREE drinks. I said no and that I wanted to chat in person. Here, I get the shakedown from the owner to reconsider and that it will be lovely. I don't buy it and demand my money back with no receipt. Things could've gotten ugly, but they did give me my money back Safe to say, we are never going back. Thanks for nothing Markus and Paco!
We stayed at this place for two nights while we were in Cartagena. They made our trip so enjoyable. Nice and cute B&B with a lot of value add services. They offered free airport pickup. The breakfast was tasty. And they allowed us to leave the baggages after we’ve checked out and even allowed us to take a shower before we headed to the airport. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Cartagena!
There were ants all over our room and bed, the window was broken and ac was barely working. We had to book a different hotel after one night, the manager told us we would receive a refund for the remaining nights but refuses to honor that.
What an amazing stay I had ! There was nothing about this experience that I would change. Marcus (the owner) was very accommodating even before I arrived due to some issues I had on my end. Once I arrived, paco gave me a tour of the property and showed me to my room. He shared recommendations, and was not only attentive, but very friendly and accessible! The breakfast was great every morning. The fruit was fresh, as well as the rest of the meal. Very centrally located and walking distance from many things. I loved my stay and will 100% be back. Thank you Les Lezards!
This is my favorite place to stay when in Cartagena.. its a very unique property with a very comforting staff. Every room is unique and nicely decorated. Ive always felt safe and well cared for..
My second visit to Les Lezards and another great stay. I had to change my plans and Marcus was very helpful and flexible. Great location for exploring. Lovely fresh breakfast each day. Friendly team. Unique rooms all with their own features. I hope to return again in 2026.
I loved the property and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly.
This was a great experience and everyone was amazing! We actually were sad to leave and continue our travels and tried to book longer but it was sold out! I understood why because it is amazing there!
Great host clean and cozy
I loved everything about my stay here. All the staff members were so nice! The breakfast was delicious and I felt like I was with family! I am definitely staying here again!
The location was convenient. We walked to the old town at least 10 times and enjoyed exploring the Getsemani neighborhood too. It's a quaint little B&B with friendly service.
I enjoyed my stay here mainly because of the daily breakfast, price and location. We were walking distance to everything we wanted to do. I booked two rooms. One of them was the safari themed one and my aunt stayed in there and it was clean but the humidity would linger and smelled like it. Otherwise the service was good. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit , eggs and natural juices. The room I stayed in was clean and big enough but the additional bed was actually like a day bed so I wouldn’t recommend anyone taller than 5’3” to sleep in it. My feet were almost hanging off. They gave us towels to take on excursions as well. I appreciated the airport pick up for our arrival as well. We booked an uber on the way to the airport at the end of our trip and it was only 25000 Colombian pesos
Excellent !!!
Amazing stay, host was very pleasant and professional. You will feel at home
Great customer service and friendly reception
The Up in the Sky room was so cozy and the little pool was a welcome respite from the Cartagena heat and humidity. The plants and flowers all over the hotel were beautiful. The daily breakfast, made to order, was lovely and if you hang around you may catch site of the on-site turtles.
This inn is magical! The owners and staff are extraordinary — they made us feel cared for without being fussy, and made our stay in Cartagena so thoughtful and easy. The location was just right — on a quiet little street, easy to walk throughout Getsemani and Centro. The property is beautiful, the breakfast is heavenly, and we can’t wait to come back.
Los dos hermanos son increíbles HOST ! La gente de la cocina , Luis! Gracias a todo su equipo. Por una buena estadía!
The place in location and the staff is great for me . The breakfast is very nice too
An excellent location for Cartagena. A ten minute walk into the old town and to boat trip departures. A few hundred yards from the evening delights of Getsemani. Quiet location just off a popular plaza. A quirky hotel, with staff always willing to help. Breakfasts were excellent.
Jean made our stay even more special! He went above and beyond to assist us and personally whipped us up an AMAZING breakfast. He’s the chillest dude you’ll ever meet and made us feel right at home! Thank you Jean!
Great staff, nice cute room. Just that the room was really small. My husband couldn't fit in the length of the bed so we had to sleep in the orthogonal direction. Very nice and friendly staff
It is a beautiful place, quirky with excellent service and a delicious breakfast. It is small, and they are responsive to all requests
We had a wonderful stay, the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff was warm friendly and always making sure we had everything we required & The breakfast was delicious.A wonderful place I highly recommend!
Lovely and charming B&B with very nice owners and staff. Wonderful freshly prepared breakfast. Excellent location. What stay there anytime again and recommend highly.
Very good
We absolutely loved this property! It is cozy and beautiful. The staff were friendly and always available to help. Breakfast was delicious! It is located in a quiet street near the busy areas of Getsemani, so it was perfect. I will definitely stay again when I return to Cartagena.
We stayed in the Africa room. It was too small for three of us, not enough room for luggage. Also, there is a table set up right outside the door of that room where guests can have breakfast or hang out, so it was noisy early in the morning. Otherwise, everything was great! Staff was really helpful, breakfasts were great, location perfect!
Lovely BNB with great, friendly staff. Very pretty adorable setting. Tiny spiral staircases to go to the rooms at the top and upstairs patio- added to the charm!
I had a great stay. The staff, especially Jean, were terrific!
The property is very clean, love the breakfast, walkable to everywhere, and the host is so accommoating and nice. I loved the bed and linens too
This delightful bed and breakfast welcomes you warmly with its entryway of lush tropical greenery, which opens into a patio for check-in as well as breakfast – lovely. Each room is themed-and named. Ours had its own soaking tub with a rooftop deck, which we so enjoyed. Owner Marcus is personable, very experienced and on top of any issues. (In the Getsemani neighborhood.)
Hands down this is just a perfect stay! We loved Les Lezards so much we extended our trip and stayed for 8 days! This meant we got to try out different rooms. All the rooms are special - they are themed - Africa (our favourite), Mexico, Santorini and La Mer. They each have a unique style. The hotel is simply beautiful - full of plants - from an open air shower we could pick mangoes (if they had been ripe!). The a/c is really efficient so the rooms provided a respite from the heat of Cartagena. The hotel is ideally located - a 5 minute walk from the centre of Getsameni - thus meant it was also a quiet haven but you could be in the thick of it with a short walk. What makes this hotel stand out though is Jean - the owners son. He went above and beyond to help us have a fabulous stay, He booked tours and gave us tips on where to go. He works so hard - every day to ensure all his guests have what they need. The hotel breakfast was top notch - I am missing the fruit juices already. There is also tortoises and cats to entertain you at breakfast. The hotel has lovely areas to sit and relax including a hot tub surrounded by flowers. All in all - just stay here!!

We loved staying at Les Lezards! The property was beautiful and staff were great. They gave us many recommendations and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Getsemaní was a very convenient location and we really recommend staying at Les Lezards.
Beautiful b&b in a wonderful Getsemani location. The service was outstanding and so helpful. I loved the delicious home cooked breakfasts, as well. Highly recommend!
This is a very cozy B&B in the heart of Getsemani. It is safe, clean, within walking distance to attractions such as restaurants, bars, and night life. The staff (Luis & Roman) are extremely nice and helpful. The food is delicious. You're given a map with an explanation of locations of places close to the accommodation. The owner (Marcus) was also helpful with suggestions of places to eat and drink within walking distance. We'll definitely stay in this place next time we are in cartegena.
We loved our stay at Les Lezards! It’s on a quiet strip close to everything. The building has so much charm and the owners are extremely helpful with lots of information about what to do around the city
Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Location was great.
I had a great stay but I arrived at the property without using their pick up service offer so it took me a couple of minutes to get in the property because the main entrance isn't clearly identified. There is a door that has the properties name on it but it's not main door they need proper signage.
This was a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were so friendly!! So kind and so informative. Luis was very knowledgeable in the city and gave us a map of the walled city and told us some places to go and things to do and not do. He also gave us the great recommendation to take a mini bus instead of the regular bus, like i was planning on doing, because it would be much faster and easier. I contacted Luis prior to my visit to ask if he could do anything for my boyfriend's birthday and he decorated the room with balloons and a streamer and it was great and very kind of him to do. This experience here felt personal and welcoming and i loved the property. The rooms very nice and clean and the bed comfy. We had the Santorini room so everything was blue and white themed and it was a nice vibe. The stairs in this room and leading up to it are super cool but i will say they are narrow. The shower was amazing that it was basically outside. With enough privacy that people couldnt see in but still enough openings to be in nature. The breakfast was light but good. One tip, i would sleep with the outside light on and a small towel shoved by the bottom of the door to stop bugs from entering. Of course there are bugs in nature that can't be controlled but this will help at night. This hotel was my favorite stay of my trip and I really liked how the bed had its own little area with the tv in it too. This room is great for couples. Overall an amazing experience here with great service!
I traveled to Colombia in January. I am usually the Hilton/Hyatt kind of traveler. I stumbled upon this place in Tripadvisor. The reviews were excellent, and their prices economical. Cynical me. I thought the reviews were too good to be real. I am glad to be proven wrong. I wanted to give it a try and expand my traveling horizons. I am very glad I did. Les Lezards is gem, and I recommend stay there. The B and B is clean, well maintained, and it is located in the Getsemani neighborhood. It is vibrant, eclectic, and it comes alive at night. (Do not miss The Plaza Trinidad after dark!). What I liked most about Les Lezards was the tight knit family that runs it, and sees to it that your stay is comfortable, and your visit to Cartagena a varied and rich one. The owner/manager Marcus, his sons Jean Marc, and Paco, and right-hand man Luis were always available for assistance and conversation. Luis helped me find tours ( Aviaro Nacional De Columbia, Sunset Cruise in the Harbour, and Tayrona Natl. Park) and Lady who oversees the kitchen- putting up with tourists- sour and sweet with grace and a smile. Having coffee with her or Marcus and his family in the morning was a very real, and unexpected pleasure of my trip. The rooms at Les Lezards are well kept, and each room is unique in structure and design. It is a great place to stay. I recommend it highly. There is even a tortoise. I kid you not. And that is all I am going to tell you.
It’s just a warm and friendly feeling place . I have stayed at this location more than twice. It’s a great Bed and Breakfast home type of place for me,
The staff was super
The staff was awesome.
I usually never leave reviews however, this place is amazing. Minus somethings that was out of their control. The staff was so welcoming and helpful our entire stay! Breakfast was amazing, room was gorgeous, and we were walking distance to everything worth going to in the city.
From our initial arrival to our departure seven days later, this was an exceptional experience, with Marcus and the team doing everything above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a good one. The ambience of the place, chilled and informal, and the comfort of the room could not be faulted. Great breakfast made to order every day, with fresh fruit, juices, and eggs, got our days off to a flying start, and the location - right in the centre of Cartagena’s historic, vibrant Getsemaní district - gave us easy access to everything that was worth exploring. Whether we needed directions to where to eat and what to see, or just wanted to relax with a book on the patio - or better still, soak in the rooftop pool - there was always friendly advice available, and even a cup of coffee to make our downtime even better. Like a quiet oasis in the lively surrounding neighbourhood, and with a boisterous tortoise thrown in for good measure, this has been one of the best accommodations on our South American adventure, and we’ll definitely be back.
We loved our stay! Our room was super cute and comfortable with a comfy bed and pillows and efficient and quiet A/C. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfasts were wonderful incl. (fresh homemade croissants, yummy fresh fruit and tropical juice) The location is also great - in a very charming neighborhood easy walking distance to everything. We’d definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay at Les Lezards! Marcus and all the staff exceeded all expectations and were the most hospitable hosts one could imagine. We were impressed right off the bat with excellent communication and then were overwhelmed by Luis’ ability to accommodate us with a quick early check in when we arrived much earlier than expected on a red eye flight. The room was an incredible oasis—a bohemian luxury treehouse with its own private terrace and a romantic soaker pool for two! The breakfast was delicious and the location was superb—walkable to the old town, the vibrant nightlife of the neighborhood, and Castillo San Felipe—yet still quiet. We loved this place so much that we extended our stay. We really couldn’t think of a better place to start our Colombia trip and would highly recommend booking here! The only tip would be that if you have any mobility issues or are a fat guy, don’t book the “up in the sky” room because there are many narrow stairs.
Great place to stay and great staff!
Great place to stay
I really love this hotel. The style is very cool with trees and plants beautifully woven into and throughout the hotel. It is a small and unique hotel in a great part of Getsemani Cartagena. The tightly woven staircase to the view from above is really neat. The service was also excellent especially the hosts Jean and Francois... both super cool. The breakfasts with eggs to your liking...fresh fruits and fruit juices....breads and croissants of quality and good coffee. My room was also very clean and comfortable. My favorite place on my 3 week trip throughout Colombia.
A very cozy place, with a very nice environment full of plants with a touch of romanticism and a simple and picturesque decoration. Incredible attention by Luis, always ready to support and help. All the staff very kind. The place is quiet without noise and near to the party centre in Getsemani and 15 minutes far from the historical centre
Markus and staff were very helpful. Units are air conditioned and quiet enough considering you are basically in the center of it all . Very convenient location . Nice tortoise
What a special boutique hotel.. everything is so unique and confortable. Staff is so sweet and professional.
A wonderful stay to compliment the magic of Cartagena. Marcus, Paco and Luis coordinate the details for unforgettable experiences. They’ll suggest restaurants, offer itineraries, make tour bookings and also make you feel at home. Our room was comfortable and quiet. And the included breakfasts delicious - make sure to try the passion fruit and lulo juices. Cats and turtles add to the cozy atmosphere.
The location was great in the neighborhood of Getsmani which was 10 minutes walking from the clock tower. The owners and workers were very sweet and helpful. What we did not like was our room, Afrique, which was dark and too small for three women to share. The bed was a queen not a king according to US standards. The mattress was too firm. The photos made it look filled with light and bigger. There were other rooms for two people that looked much nicer. The included breakfast and service were good.
We stayed one night in the sky room. Place was great, enjoyed the private cool tub. Wish we could have stayed longer but we were headed to the islands.
My family enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Les Lezards. There is focus on the guest with delicious breakfasts, relaxing jacuzzi on a terrace and comfy beds. Their tropical juices and fruit salads in the morning will be missed! They are full of dining and activity / tour suggestions as well for a great stay in Cartagena.
Location Location!. No available parking, but the room was nice and everything was within walking distance.
I would give a 10 out of 10 to this hotel because of the location and friendly and accommodating staff.
This was an amazing stay! The room was just as described and the property was so charming! Everyone was helpful and had recommendations. If I had questions, they had answers. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Cartagena because it is extremely safe, even right next to all of the action of the city. I can’t think of a single complaint! All of the attractions are near by, plethora of restaurants, and the beach. Couldn’t ask for a better stay!
Great place. Great people. Can't get better than this in Catagena. And it's quiet!
I really enjoyed my stay during my 5-night trip to Cartagena. Everything from the daily breakfast to the assistance given to book tours was outstanding. If you're looking for a cute, hospitable place to say, stay here!
I love the breakfast and the place had a very nice Cham to it
This is a hidden gem in a very popular area. Rooms are small but comfortable but the atmosphere is wonderful. It’s green and tranquil and the staff are exceedingly welcoming. Also delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.
Nice little boutique hotel, family run and with great service. Great breakfast and the hosts cater for all your needs. Location is perfect right in the walled city. The rooms have interesting character. Paco the host was ever so helpful on guiding us and going the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommended, nice little gem of a hotel!
Paco was extremely nice and helpful! Super polite young man. Excellent place to stay in Cartagena!
Great location! Very friendly and helpful staff. Staying here was a unique experience. It was like staying with a colombian family at their home. Delicious home made breakfast every morning.
Muy céntrico de toda la ciudad turística
I loved my week long stay here. The property is a true oasis in the vibrant area of Getsamani. Lots of greenery, outdoor seating, a rooftop jacuzzi and a couple of naughty turtles who lurk around the breakfast table waiting for scraps! On the subject of breakfast - this is the best I had during my month in Colombia. Delicious home made pastries, yogurt, fruit, eggs, fruit smoothies, bacon, toast and endless coffee. No need for lunch! My room was Le Mer. It was cozy, comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated and had good aircon. There's a tv with Netflix, a kitchenette but no utensils, only a fridge and some glasses. The fridge is full of mini bar purchases, so not much room for your food, unless you remove some first. As a solo female traveller, I felt very well cared for, all members of staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. I would return and would highly recommend Les Lezards to anyone.
This is a tiny b&b in the very heart of Getsemani, at walking distance from all main cultural attractions as well as restaurants and bars. The space is small but everything is conveniently and efficiently arranged, with good taste. Breakfast is simple but perfect, you can taste exotic fruit juices, freshly made, and meet other guest, sharing with them experiences and tips. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, make you really feel you are a family guest.
This is a cute bed and breakfast with super welcoming and helpful staff. The property is a little tired--I stayed in the "Santorini" room during rainy season and found water running down the stairs in my room. I got very little hot water in the shower and the room never seemed to dry out after the rains. In a lot of ways, the staff really made up for the propery's shortcomings, but set your expectations to having a little more of a rustic experience. AND, it is super close to everything--lots of activity at night in the nearby church plaza and an easy 20 minute walk to the old/walled city.
I enjoyed my weeklong stay at Les Lezards tremendously. This B&B is close to the center of the walled city (about 15 min walk to the clock tower) but far quieter. I arrived on Thursday 11/6 when the festivities celebrating Cartagena’s independence (11/11) started. My stay remained very quiet far enough from the bustling celebration activities that go on for five days. Colombians for sure enjoy a good party. The owner Marcus, his son Francois (Paco), and the entire staff made me feel welcome and at home. Paco picked me up at the airport upon my arrival at no charge. At the end of my stay it felt as if I had stayed with good friends. Both Marcus and Paco speak perfect English and are ready to help with everything they can, such as booking trips for instance. I followed Paco’s advice and Marcus booked me a day trip to Islabela (highly recommended). The breakfast is excellent, everything is fresh and the croissants are baked when you order them (not to forget the freshly made smoothies). The entire place is filled with plants and larger trees were not cut down but are an integral part of Les Lezards. My room was very clean with a comfortable double bed and a single bed. I managed to lock myself out of my safe but Marcus ‘rescued’ me within 15 minutes and explained the proper procedure to set the safe up. My return flight was at 5:15 on 11/13; the airport is about a 15-20 minute drive. Marcus organized an Uber to pick me up at 3:45 am. To my surprise Paco came around 3:30 am to see if my transportation was going to plan. Marcus who was obviously also awake kept Paco and me updated about my expected Uber arrival. Talk about going beyond and above!! I highly recommend Les Lezards and if I decide to go back to Cartagena then I already know where I will stay!
This is an authentic, charming little hotel in the heart of Getzimani, yet very quiet and resting. The owner welcomes you and makes you feel home. The hotel is integrated with the nature, you feel like in a rainforest, but with all attractions very close. Each room is decorated around a theme (African, Mexican, Santorini, Up in the sky, La mer, Provence etc. The owner paints fresh himself every month almost the whole hotel. It feels really clean in spite the rain that pours every day these months. The breakfast is delicious too. Totally recommended.
Our stay was very nice. The property is well maintained with a small inside Oasis with turtles included. The personalized breakfast was incredible. The Africa suite is beautiful and VERY clean but it has a very strong smell of humidity(if asthma issues) and its tight for a family. They expected us with baby shampoo which was a wonderful touch and overall excellent service. Roman is a gem. Would stay here again.
Beautiful B&B in a very nice location
Absolutely loved this cozy quaint room. Paco was kind and welcoming. He paid attention to details and even helped me get around. The room itself had a touch of Greece to it and I couldn’t get enough of it
The hotel is very authentic. It is more like an Airbnb, but you have your own room. The owner is really nice.. He helped me with everything and I felt very comfortable.. if you want an authentic unique experience, I recommend that you stay at this place. The neighborhood is safe and really nice walkable around in reachable to everything. Thanks again for making me feel very welcome and comfortable.
Awesome
Convenient location, quiet once inside. Suite is small but uniquely decorated. Bed, although not an advertised King, had a very comfortable mattress. Staff is pleasant...So, what had spoiled our impression? Surprising charge for coffee pods provided to use in the suite coffee maker. Apparently those are treated as minibar item! Guess just a coffee maker is included, not the product. Truth being told, they were listed on minibar menu, we just never red it, because we had no interest in the "bar" items. Very strange for NA travelers especially when paying for a premium suite. Overall good place, just don't assume anything.
Such a wonderful place for the money value. Staff was super nice. Breakfast was yummy. Love the pet turtles too
Great all round
Tradional large family finca renovated into modern apartments, maintaining all the local artictecture and beauty of the walled fort city of Cartegena, similar to a traditional english cottage with thick white walls. This B&B has a private courtyard to enjoy breakfast, served until 11am for the late risers, jacuzzi on the roof with sun loungers and smokind area. Great hospitality from the hosts. 5 stars all round
