I stayed at The St. Regis Shanghai for a business trip, and the experience was fantastic. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. When my travel plans were disrupted by a typhoon, forcing me to book an extra night, the team went above and beyond to accommodate me and let me stay in the exact same room without any hassle. It was a very pleasant stay despite the weather, and I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be back next year.

I'm staying at your hotel and i'm stressed out. You made me problem when i checked in. You insist me pay again my room ( i paid it already) i informed you that i' m pregnant nobody helped me. They waited me 4 hours for check in my room becouse of the mistake they made

Location is perfect. The staff was very professional. Loved that they took care of our room before we were back from walking all day, getting the bed ready, closing the blinds, and setting the pantufels next to the bed- all small details that enhanced our stay.

Just to mention a detail, towels could be better for a hotel of this category. They were fine, but a little small.

St Regis was above all expectations, the room was gorgeous and well decorated with taste, the view on the city (from 58th floor) was splendid, the staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was generous and succulent. Pool is good, quite big and suitable for serious swimming.

Accelerate the check-in process. This was the only negative, all guests took 10 to 15 minutes to be onboarded due to a cumbersome process (not the staff, who tried their best). Make it simple and fluid, to match the rest of the experience.

This was a nice hotel in a great spot away from the excessive noise and traffic of The Bund but still convenient for all the sites and shopping. Buffet breakfast was good. Kids loved grabbing handfuls of white rabbits at reception!

Package collection went very smoothly here and they would deliver it to your room, the breakfast had a good varied selection and was nice to not have to think about, while I didn’t use any of the facilities my partner and his mother did and they enjoyed them

1. To be able to swim you need to wear a swim cap, this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has required that so it was quite strange and we had to go out and try and find some to buy to be able to use the pool 2. On one morning (6:30am) there was a fire alarm that went off. There was no announcement on whether it was false or a real alarm and so a lot of the guests had to choose to either potentially die if it was real or climb down almost 50 levels of stairs (which some did to) I didn’t, i excepted my fate in my comfy bed. The concierge and the butler service was non contactable (I’m assuming from an influx of calls) and no details were ever provided, no letter or notice or anything which was strange. I feel there should be better communication during something like this. 3. This one is honestly just a pet peeve, but the soap in the bathroom was moved to the right sink every time even though it made more sense for it to be in the middle of both sinks, I wrote a letter to leave the soap in the middle in both English and mandarin and while it stayed for one turn down the next day it was right back on the right side, was just a bit annoying having to move it back a lot

My wife and I chose this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend in Shanghai. Although our check-in was delayed on the first day due to hotel circumstances, the hotel kindly compensated us with a room upgrade, which we appreciated. Overall, the hotel was clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. The breakfast was enjoyable and offered good quality. One area that could be improved is the butler service. While the hotel offers this service, there was little information provided about what was actually available or how to use it. I found myself searching online to understand the details. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the experience. However, given the many excellent hotels available in Shanghai, I would need to consider whether I would choose this property again on a future visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I visit this location every two months or so and always have an incredible experience. I’m able to message Frankie via WeChat before I arrive to arrange everything from an airport pickup to a dinner reservation. The service is world class.

The location and the butler services

The buffet breakfast was not to our expectation. Hardly any change in the food over 4 days.

Spent a few days in both the St Regis on the Bund and the St Regis Jingan and both properties were exceptional and neither should be missed- split your time among the two. While the Bund has amazing views, we preferred many aspects of Jingan and would go back in a heartbeat. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel feels far less tourist-heavy and offers a more refined, authentic city atmosphere- tree-lined streets, stylish cafes and bars, and a relaxed yet sophisticated energy. The hotel was immaculate and had all the amenities. Service was exceptional, from Eric Li at the front to the uncle at the door, the maid who even folded our clothes and the whole team at breakfast. We stayed during the busy holiday / labor week which was a bit hectic but when I raised a minor concern, it was immediately addressed by the GM Matthieu. He was the fastest person to respond to us in over 100+ nights in Marriott properties this year and the most accessible manager of all the St. Regis hotels we have stayed across the globe. Matthieu met us during our stay and even called ahead to the next St. Regis we were staying at and reinforced why we would only pick the St Regis brand if given the chance. From beginning to end, we felt genuinely welcomed, valued, and exceptionally well taken care of.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, tidy and well-equipped. The service is warm and professional. The location is convenient for traveling. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The hotel is very nice with spectacular decor, and they upgraded our room, which we really appreciated. The views of the skyscrapers are spectacular. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety.

The problem was that an e-reader disappeared from our nightstand and was never found. We know it’s not worth much, so it’s really surprising that it was stolen. The hotel management was very attentive but didn’t resolve the issue or offer any alternative. It’s a shame that this incident spoiled our stay a bit; after what happened, I recommend that all guests keep any valuables in the safe.

My wife and I had a 10 out of 10 experience. Our room had a fantastic view of the city and part of the Bund. The location, amenities, ambience, hotel itself was amazing and made even better by chief Consierge Frankie. He was so caring and attentive and helped us plan Excursions shopping and sightseeing during our trip to Shanghai. He topped it off my arranging a great 5/20 dinner for us at Bespoke on our last night. Thank you to Frankie and the whole team for the wonderful experience.

The St. Regis Shanghai itself was completely flawless and amazing, and the general service across the hotel was incredibly good. But what truly made our stay special was Macy from the concierge team. He is an absolute star! Since we had never used the train system before, arranging tickets was quite difficult for us, but Macy handled everything flawlessly. From booking restaurants to navigating the train logistics, he went completely above and beyond. Macy specifically made our stay amazing, and we are so grateful for his outstanding help. We cannot wait to return!

My experience at the hotel was superb as Mr. Frank Wang from the concierge went out of his way during his day off and helped me through my Shanghai trip. Majority of the staffs were nice except our check-in was not ready until 5pm and which was not acceptable.

The location is unbeatable as the hotel is in the heart of Shanghai. We've been impressed with the fantastic views from the spacious rooms and exquisite furniture. Compared to the restaurants at The St Regis in Bali and Mauritius we stay for holidays, the standard of food and service previously needed to be reviewed. We are now delighted to see that Monsieur Bertho, the new General Manager, is very approachable and receptive to our feedback and leading a remarkable team who is keen to refine the new menu launched at the start of April. In particular, a la carte menu in the club lounge is worth paying every penny to access the lounge. Staff members are a great asset to the hotel. We'd like to thank them for their endeavours. I stayed at the St. Regis Jing’an in Shanghai for one night during a business trip. The hotel appears to have been renovated fairly recently and overall feels very grand—lots of marble, chandeliers, and large public spaces. Check-in was busy and there was a short wait, but the process was handled efficiently with several staff members helping to organize the arriving guests. My room on the 60th floor was spacious and offered impressive views over the Shanghai skyline. The bathroom was also very large and well designed. The hotel has an excellent fitness area. The gym is open 24 hours and quite large, and there is also a very big indoor pool, which is ideal if you actually want to swim laps rather than just relax. One thing to note is the lounge called “The Manor.” It is not a standard Marriott Bonvoy lounge, so elite status alone does not grant access. I opted to pay the additional fee at check-in. The space itself, located on the 55th floor, is pleasant and quite spacious. Breakfast there had a relatively small selection but was perfectly sufficient for me, and during happy hour there was a generous food offering. The drink selection was a bit more limited but still adequate. Communication with some of the staff in English could occasionally be a bit challenging compared to other hotels in Shanghai, but using the Marriott app for written requests worked very well. The location in the Jing’an District on Beijing Road is very central. It’s only a short walk to Nanjing Road with its many shopping malls, and there are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Overall a very solid stay. The hotel works well for both business and leisure travelers, especially if you enjoy traditional, opulent luxury hotels with a classic feel.

Pretty convenient location with good room views if you choose the right rooms. Our room was spacious enough and comfortable and we enjoyed our time spent in the room generally speaking.

Very limited gym equipment. Fitness centre was quite the letdown and for some reason they turned on the heater. I get that it’s winter but you don’t want the gym to feel like a sauna. Conversely, the swimming pool is not heated, which would have been a nice touch if you were coming in from the cold. Furthermore, the swimming pool itself is in poor condition with many tiles at the bottom of the pool having peeled off leading to possible injuries via cuts on the sharp tile edges. Lounge options are pretty limited for Asia when it comes to food options, but I guess it’ll suffice for most. Sadly, the lounge itself is situated on the side of the hotel that doesn’t have the great views of the iconic Shanghai skyscrapers. The breakfast buffet on the ground floor was generally fine but there could be more variety on the hot Chinese dishes.

It was an outstanding five-day experience staying at this amazing hotel. I was lucky to choose this place for a business trip. Everything was excellent — the food, room cleaning, sound insulation, and the quiet atmosphere. The staff were more than lovely, always welcoming with smiley faces. On top of that, the room view from the 51st floor was spectacular, offering a real view of Shanghai. The gym and indoor swimming pool were very good, especially the pool water temperature, which was perfectly balanced despite the outside temperature being -4°C 🥶. Highly recommended for both family and business stays

Since 2019 we have enjoyed staying at Jingan St Regis when we visit Shanghai. Staff are courteous, efficient and helpful, and we are impressed with their professionalism and hospitality. The concierge led by Frankie is well organised and informative. Two housekeeping ladies on the 66th floor always quickly respond to our request. William, Pol and Stephen try their best to improve the standard of food and beverage in the Social. The excellent food and service provided by Eva in Yan Ting is commendable. Diana in the front desk helps us to go shopping, while our mobile phones are unable to place orders online. We highly recommend this hotel to international holidaymakers when they look for a luxury place to stay in the city centre.

The lack of choices of food for muslims and staff doesn’t understand English

Great value for money. Very spacious rooms and bathroom. Loved the fact that there’s a separate room for suitcases and clothes. It’s so rare that 3 of our big suitcases comfortably fit in the room and aren’t in the way the whole time. Beautiful bathroom with an amazing view. Great area for walking around, exploring, and travelling to any other area.

We stayed in 2 different rooms. One of them was a bit cold. The other one was perfect.

The panoramic view spreading from the room to the bathroom was really cool. Loved how big the bathrooms were. Area is perfect too.

The room was a bit cold even though we had AC on 24 degrees pretty much the whole time.
