I liked the friendliness from Paul on arrival. The location was great and the Bed was very comfortable

Very Minor issue but I struggled to get the right temperature on the shower. Was either far too hot or very cold. This may just be me as my partner didn’t have any issues.

Super friendly welcome. We were soaking wet, muddy and smelly on arrival. But Paul took our wet boots and popped them in the airer to dry. Beautiful room. Comfiest bed. Beautiful view. Tasty breakfast. Couldn't ask for more

Very comfortable with helpful owners.

Great location, only a short walk to town with the river opposite with nice walks into town. Lovely breakfast, cereal and full English. Room 3 had lovely views of the mountain and river with good amenities. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

The bed was not comfortable at all. Memory foam which felt saggy and felt like you were falling out of bed if you slept too near the edge. Too little storage space.

Great location, a well presented room with great double aspect views and lovely breakfast from the options available. The very hospitable, friendly staff with a great knowledge of the area positively added to the experience of our stay. More than happy to recommend.

Paul was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming. He even took our wet smelly shoes off us when we arrived, to get them dry for our day 4 on the Cumbria Way! The room was very cosy and clean. Nice warm shower. Even though the bathroom was shared, it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was lovely, the coffee was the best so far. Paul recommended a sandwich shop which we got delicious tikka rolls from, enjoyed by a nice stream on the Cumbria Way. Wonderful hospitality, thank you.

The bedroom doors are quite heavy and noisy but I can understand as they are fire doors.

Paul and Carol were exceptional hosts. Very helpful, knowledgeable and always offering to assist with providing recommendations for walking routes, dining options etc. Wonderful breakfast with good quality ingredients.

Some may not like separate bathroom. Not an issue for us and we were told when booking this was the case. Given bathroom shared, potential risk of cleanliness issues through use by other guests but room always kept very clean

The property was very central, clean and comfortable

The lack of parking made it difficult, we had to leave our car in a street about a 15 minute walk away, which could difficult for someone with mobility issues.

A fantastic location with lovely hosts. The large king bed with ensuite shower was very comfy. The breakfast was great. Paul and his son Scott gave great recommendations for places to eat. A short 5 min walk into Keswick. On street parking was easy. We would stop again.

Everything was good.

A wonderful guesthouse for everyone who loves the outdoors. Not for from the centre of Keswick, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Most certainly one of the best breakfasts we had all week!

Our twin room was rather small for 2 hikers and their backpacks ;-)

The bed was comfy. Room was quiet. I liked how ear buds for sleeping were included. The breakfast was excellent there was a good choice. It was also an excellent location. Close to the town and across from Fitz park

I didn't realise when I booked the shower was shared. I would have preferred ensuite. It also wasn't the most powerful shower.

Great place and really nice people

Wir hatten eines der Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und es war wirklich schön und sauber. Natürlich nicht sehr groß aber damit kann man bei 2 Nächten gut leben. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bekamen super Frühstück sowie Tipps für Sightseeing und Wanderungen in der Umgebung. Sollten wir nochmal in die Nähe kommen wissen wir wo wir übernachten werden. Danke :)

The host was great, breakfast was piping hot and delicious, the bed was really comfortable, a good location, there were lots of little extras in the room - bath robes, biscuits, sweets, ear plugs & all toiletries in the shower including conditioner. I would certainly visit again.

Just a shared bathroom so I had to wait for a shower but apart from that nothing else that I can think of.

Location perfect, although there was a little road noise as it is situatated on the corner of the main road into Keswick, Room very comfortable, tea/coffee making facilities in room. WIFI and TV provided. Breakfast perfect

A lovely welcome from the host - Paul - who shared lots of recommendations and knowledge of the surrounding area. The room was clean, cosy and filled with lots of useful amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the robes were a nice touch. In the morning, a freshly made breakfast was delicious and set us up well for the day 4 of the Cumbria way!

Friendly and welcoming

Everything about our stay was fantastic! The room was spotless, comfortable, and very cozy. The location was excellent, with plenty of great restaurants just a short walk away. Paul was an exceptional host. He warmly welcomed us and gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat and attractions to visit, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection of delicious food. We especially loved the homemade jam—it was absolutely amazing! The strong and reliable Wi-Fi was a big plus, and having complimentary toiletries was a thoughtful touch. We also appreciated the TV, which allowed us to watch the FIFA matches during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Babbling Brook and the owners had a warm, friendly touch that made you feel so welcome. Our room (no 1) was lovely l, sizeable and the large bed was so comfy. Tea and coffee facilities, tv etc all perfect for our over night stay. Breakfast was great. No problem getting our car parked in the street and just a short stroll into town. A quaint small B&B that I would recommend highly to family and friends.

Parking can be a challenge. But that's the same for most places in Keswick unless you are willing to sacrifice location and stay further out.

I have stayed at babbling brook before and this time round it did not disappoint. The owners were very accommodating and made sure I had everything for my stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept so well. I especially like the tea facilities as there were mugs not cups.. who doesn’t like a mug of tea after a busy day? I would definitely book to stay again.

Such a well run guest house. Paul is really friendly and helpful, happy to chat and share his knowledge of the Lakes. The room was very well equipped with refreshments & lovely touches such as a chocolate and earplugs!!! Breakfast was beautifully cooked and whilst small, Paul makes it work brilliantly.

Fantastic guesthouse in Keswick, it had everything we needed, great location, the best night sleep, delicious breakfast and a wonderful friendly host. Thanks Paul, hope the shoulder is on the mend now and you'll be back to running up the mountains in no time! We will be back whenever we return to Keswick :)

Property was perfect for a weekend in Keswick. Location was perfect and the room had everything you would want. Paul was on his own for our stay but he couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.

Ein wahnsinnig bequemes Bett und wirklich nette Gastgeber, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Fußgängerzone.

Host was amazing, immediately got us settled in and refilled all our water bottles after a tiring day. The room had wonderful crisp white sheets and dressing gowns! Best night sleep our entire holiday. Thank you!

Paul and Carol are really friendly and helpful and I always come back if staying in Keswick. It’s a very short walk into town and the bus stop is nearby too. The breakfast is excellent

Great location Good room to be fair

The emphasis seemed to be arround fitting round the owners rather than being treated as a guest. For instance I arrived after a long hike (heatwave weather) and the owner wanted to do intro talk at length . . I had to stop him to ask if I could just put my bag down first. Shared bathroom fine but the shower in it not very effective at all. Came away not feeling clean.

Our stay at Babbling Brook was just lovely, Paul was so helpful and took time to make sure we had everything we needed. We had some great conversation with Paul & Carol, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was one of the best we have had. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Excellent value for money. The only downside was the parking, street parking only, this is no fault of the guest house. Keswick was exceptionally busy due to the festival, be patient and you will find a parking spot. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back.

The room was exactly as described with a beautiful view over the river and the mountains. The bed was super comfortable and the room cosy against the cold outside.

Paul and Carol were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Paul gave us a quick overview of Keswick and recommended some great places to visit, which was really helpful. The full English breakfast made by Carol was delicious, and we especially loved the homemade raspberry jam. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return again.

Location is perfect. 5 min walk into the town. Hosts are unbelievably accommodating with flexible breakfast times, great recommendations given. Lovely old building kept in good nick. Bed was comfy, breakfast was great.

Location was Amazing, incredible views of the mountain, at the side of a beautiful park, water, 5 minute walk from the main town. Carol and Paul were so friendly, warm and welcoming, recommended places to go, how to locate them and the best spots to visit. The breakfast was fresh, with all extra's we needed in a cosy dining area. 10/10!!

I can not fault my stay at all, they were overally accommodating, met my needs in any way they could. We only needed the one night as we booked with Keswick Adventures to do the Ghyll Scrambling, which i HIGHLY recommend for anyone outdoors-y- looking for water activities.

Excellent communication before arrival, Paul was truly helpful, the location couldn't be better, you can park on the street and walk everywhere, you can hear the river at night, beautiful parks and walks everywhere, delicious breakfast.

We had an absolutely great night in the comfiest bed EVER. We had the top floor room at the front, gorgeous views from both windows. Just a quick walk into town and lots of recommendations from Paul on where the best food could be found. Breakfast was excellent,crispy bacon butty for me, full English for hubby. We will definitely come back. Home made raspberry jam too 😋

We were lucky enough to stay in the corner room on the top floor so we had great views over the brook and could even see the mountains over the tops of Keswick. The bed was soooo comfortable, like a lovely huge marshmallow and the room had everything that we needed for our short stay. The owners were a lovely couple, very welcoming, it was more like staying over at a friends house! Probably one of the nicer B&B's I've staying in whilst visiting Keswick.
