Everything about this B&B was amazing, cleanliness, staff were brilliant and helpful.

Not far to walk to the main Street of Keswick, 5 to 7 min and been able to park outside the guest house.

Everything great. Close to main town but quiet location. Room (single) was small but was very clean and well equipped. Excellent shower. Breakfast very nice. Hostess super helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again if in Keswick.

Very clean and comfortable room, with a good shower in the en-suite bathroom, a comfortable bed and a limited but excellent quality breakfast.

The room was rather narrow - hard to avoid bumping into the the bed - and the room was on the top floor with steep stairs which would be a struggle for anyone with mobility or energy issues. The macerator was also very loud so it would have been antisocial to have flushed the toilet during the night...

No offer of help to my room on the 3rd floor, burnt breakfast, I paid with my debt card and was not given a receipt for payment, when I asked for an invoice they said I would have to go back to Booking .com, I explained I have paid booking .com I have paid you. I have been forced to complain to the Inland revenue and customers who agreed to take up my complaint. I was also but in the smallest room I have ever slept in, I am a Health & Safety consultant and I noticed a number of breaches when I stopped at this hotel. I strongly advised you visit this establishment and assess the safety of it.

Couldn’t check in until 4, but no one there to leave luggage earlier. This wasn’t indicated on their website. Arrived back at 5:30, not particularly welcoming and had to wait outside at door, rather than be invited to sit inside until the owner had finished with another guest. We had booked a king suite with Mountain View, this was not the room we were given.

Having to find ATM to pay cash was tricky when travelling. The room was very small for someone with a largish case.

Extremely clean room, very comfortable with good facilities. Nicely furnished, excellent breakfast, great location just a few minutes walk into town. We found it easy to park on the street nearby.

Confusion at arrival time, as the doorbell was not working and we had to ring a mobile number to be let in.

Warm room, good breakfast, parking outside, hot shower, owner answered the door (sometimes accessing accommodation can be quite challenging and stressful). All our needs met.

This is not a criticism of the property but… we had no phone reception anywhere in Keswick. Fortunately we’d screenshotted a Google Maps image showing the location of the property, otherwise we would have struggled to find it.

When I tried to get into the guest house in the early hours I couldn’t get in. It looked like I’d been locked out. Luckily I could stay on a sofa at my sister’s rental otherwise I’d have been stranded. In the morning I could see that the door has been planed at the top so it must have swollen and jammed in the rain. I didn’t ring the bell because the evening before no one had come at 7pm so I didn’t expect they would answer in the early hours as I thought I’d been locked out on purpose. The next day when I was leaving and wanted to tell them about my problem I rang the bells and knocked on the doors and waited and knocked and waited but no one came. In the end I gave up and left.

Very close to the town centre, the room was very quiet, and the host was extremely friendly. He not only looked after my luggage for me but also kindly took it up to my room.

The hotel wasn’t particularly good value for money, but that’s probably because the Lake District is a popular holiday destination and accommodation options are quite limited, so it’s understandable.

Unfortunately there was some other guest staying, that was shouting and screaming in another room, all the other guests heard him , as discussed at breakfast and he was asked to leave thankfully!! Do not let this put you off your stay though!

I specifically chose this guest house because they said they cater for vegans. I told them when booking that I was vegan. Yet, they weren't prepared for me. No plant milk. No vegan options at breakfast. If an accommodation says they cater for a particular diet, there are certain things that the customer expects as a minimum. Just removing any meat or dairy products from the breakfast and calling it catering for vegans is substandard. Youre not giving these guests the same experience as your meat eating guests. Just buy some vegan sausages and keep them in the freezer. Get some long life plant milk. Its not difficult. I had to leave my breakfast at the guesthouse and buy my breakfast from a cafe in town. Very disappointing. If I'd have known you didn't cater for vegans I would've chosen to stay elsewhere. Don't advertise that you do if you dont. Simple.

The streets surrounding the guesthouse were busy with parked cars so it was hard to find a space, but what was good was that it was free parking.

The location was pretty good, and easily accessible. The host was waiting to let us in although we were quite late. The rooms were clean. Claire was a gracious host, and on our check-in, she gave us pointers on where to find dinner. Breakfast was good - freshly prepared to our requests taken the previous night.

For the size of the room, and the fact that we got there to late, and check out was at 10 AM, for me, the value for money was not justified. But to each their own expectations!

Breakfast was nice but the vegetarian option was just a full English without the sausage and bacon. They didn’t add anything extra like 2 eggs or more mushrooms. Couldn’t find the host to check out so had to wait.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the property was well decorated and maintained. It was also very clean and the room was serviced each day. The guest house offered a good breakfast which was cooked to order and was included in the price. The guest house was close to the town centre which was a major reason we decided to book. There was ample free on street parking nearby.

There was nothing we didn't like. The single room was on the small side and the stairs were quite steep, which might not suit everyone, but it wasn't a problem for us.

Solo traveller for one night and this was absolutely brilliant! Comfy bed, clean room, decent shower, filling breakfast and friendly service. Great location too, about 6mins to the main high street.
