Its a lovely hotel stayed here a few times

Ordered lunch two sandwiches me and my partner was the only ones in the restaurant and it still took an hour to receive them. The rooms do need to be updated.

Lovely old property the lift is like something from an old American film . The pool is great but the pool surroundings need a thorough clean .toilets are kept beautiful spotless

Rooms could be updated the wallpaper is old but they are spotless.

If your just wanting a bed it’s alright and out the way from the centre so quiet

Wasn’t the cleanest luckily we took our own towels as one of the towel has black specs and a mark Room is small Bed is small and uncomfortable luckily took a blanket to make it a bit more comfortable Was a dead insect on the wall…. Really needs a clean

It is perfectly placed for what we wanted . It had everything we were looking for in a hotel. Easy to find and get to, plenty of car parking space. The staff were amazing, very friendly and so helpful.

Nothing really, maybe the games room could be updated. But that never really affected our experience.

Swimming pool was very cold!

We stayed as a family get together and hired 4 rooms. Ours was a superior room and the sea view was awesome , bed comfortable and whirlpool bad fabulous after a day of walking around.

We had a very long wait for dinner but to be fair it was bank holiday weekend and the restaurant was very busy but as we had 5 children it would have been good to have been a bit quicker. They did give the kids free cookies which was nice to keep them going until it arrived.

Everything was great in the hotel and the pool was an added bonus however it was very cold. Great location for pier and amusements Would definitely stay again

Lovely hotel on the sea front within in an easy walk to the amusements. The bedroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a restaurant at the hotel but we didn’t use it, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. The staff were all very helpful.

Bed springs very uncomfortable, couldn't sleep-it actually gave me a bad back since leaving :( Snags in the room decor and no blackout curtains Bathroom dusty and smelled disgusting, stank the room out as well when the door was opened Breakfast not included in the price (just over £100 per night) plus £16 pp for breakfast for this type of budget room was suprising Dirty windows clouding the sea views Staff vacuuming at 3am Noisy, thin walls Reception staff incompetent, unable to work around the online booking system

Friendly staff and comfortable, clean room. Use of pool and sun deck.

Some areas, such as the upstairs pool area and sundeck were a little tired/not in regular use.

Bathroom bit cosy

Expensive. No breakfast. My wife was charged £7.50 for a bowl of cereal even though i had paid £15.00 for a full english which i presume included cereal which i didnt have. No fridge. No biscuits or snacks in the room. We checked out one day early and asked if any refund but obviously not. I had booked 3 nights by mistake so only myself to blame. Expensive mistake.

Stayed in a family room. Abit small for three people. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful. Swimming pool was good but the sides were abit sharp. They have lift which was very old fashioned but was very quirky.

My son loves the pool this is our 3rd visit this year we love the staff, location and general ambience

The indoor pool was fantastic.

The sauna didn't work. The pool table was broken and didn't dispense the white ball. Dart board missing darts. Lights in our room flickered. Carpet in the stairs was lifting. There was a funny sort of smell in the corridors and stairs. The bar was great but a tad expensive for what it is. A very creaky bed that felt it was about to collapse

The Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable at the location. The parking was free and spaces were available. On arrival we could check in early as room was available. We were close to sea front amenities. We did not have food at the Hotel as were there for a party, so cannot comment. But dining area looked good and bar was well stocked. Bed was comfortable and full amenities in the room.

The rooms that we stayed in were a little dated decor wise and could probably do with a redesign.

Friendly staff.. Very clean.. Great location.. Dukes restaurant was great value for the great quality of food.. Every night we dined in there..

Breakfast was £15 per Adult and was no way worth it.. Coffee standard.. No pastries.. Toasters were poor.. Meat a bit fatty..

One thing didn’t like was the parking at the hotel.

Loved the old fashioned lift . Property is mostly well kept and the grounds are lovely.

Breakfast a tad expensive if I’m honest but the bar was reasonable and the staff all of them fantastic but the tall lad big built with black hair is the friendliest member of staff for sure

Lady in reception was lovely, polite and helpful. The young lad in the restaurant was also very polite and professional. Plenty of free parking and was in a fabulous location.

Although we had a budget room which was extremely clean and comfortable, it was a little dated. The view was another building wall however we were only there to sleep as were out from morning til late.

The door wasnt getting locked. I had to sleep one night without secure. While, I had wife and children sleeping. Next day, I find my family friends told me that they had tower fan and cooler in the room while I had none. After a request, the staff member gave me a standing fan.

The Dune restaurant was the best meal we have had.The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Every where was very clean.

Good location, very close to the main area and beach. Free parking but abit tight. Lovely staff, restaurant and bar is nice, didn’t have much food but we had a starter one night and it was nice. Cocktails were hit and miss.

Pool was abit cold as it’s not heated, and the pool area could do with some TLC. Our room could’ve been a little cleaner. Layer of dust on some surfaces, bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. Bin was a little grimy. Sink wasn’t cleaned during our stay. Water marks over the shower screen and taps too. Mirrors and lights could’ve done with a shine. Bed wasn’t made neatly one day, not the end of the world but little things. Bit tight getting round corners in the hotel as we had a pram but made it work. (Would probably recommend asking for a ground floor room if you have a pram or wheelchair)

Staff so helpful & very friendly..Hotel very clean..our room was spot on. Location is just right from pier short walk ...bar at nite was very good ..can't wait too go back next year.

The property has made improvements to the shared spaces but the rooms are in need of modernisation and improvements. The flushing of other room toilets could be heard within my room throughout the night! We have stayed at the hotel on several occasions over many years, but the first time since the down sizing of the hotel. Our recent stay was not as comfortable as previous visits and I’m not sure in all honesty if we’d return.

This was our wedding anniversary trip unfortunately! downstairs is lovely clean and well decorated! Got up to the room and oh my god! It was so dated and smelled so dusty and nothing like advertised!, ridiculously hot, lacked plug sockets, no bed side cabinet or plug socket one side of the bed, and a tiny tv the other end of the room a whole 19"! It rarely had a signal and at one point required retuning completely! Couldn't leave window open when out as we had a flat roof outside so wouldn't be secure, fan we were given only worked on one setting and due to the lack of plugs couldn't charge phones ect and use the fan at the same time, so so dissapointed! Not worth the cost I have to say! Staff were nice enough though!

Great location to beach and city centre. Not too far from train station. Room was nice and clean, decent space, comfy beds, not noisy, good shower, kettle for tea/coffee available Breakfast available but didnt try. All for a good price

Room window faces another hotels room window extremely close - could be awkward if both rooms are occupied - would have to close curtains but during the day maybe not want to have to do that. But was fine - just a thought.

That the kettle in the room was disgusting. It was unusable. I’m sure it won’t cost much to replace with a new one.

After I booked I was told parking is first come first served but in fairness when I pulled up I got parked straightaway in there car park and have me a permit at 11:00 in the morning so not really a moan

Booked 2rooms a super king and a double really needed a fridge in both bed was comfy the super king had a walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath used the bath the first night but the grime in the bottom the next day was disgusting to was too small The double toilet seat was broken and the headboard had seen better days

Our room - mould on bathroom sealant, radiator enamel badly chipped and our view looked directly into a brick wall and a window of next door about 5 metres away.

Ancient lift, room door closers too strong which is necessary due to type of door lock causing unnecessary door slamming throughout the night and early morning.

Location to beach front and golden mile excellent. Dune restaurant served excellent meals with good selection.

Room to small and cramped. Toilet to near wall so couldn’t sit on properly for man over 60. No air con or fan to keep room cool in hot weather conditions, therefore sleep interrupted. Noise from other guests leaving their rooms with doors banging when left to close by themselves.

Had a car park and had a good location. Room was clean and comfortable.

The bathroom was very dated and the bath/shower didn’t look very inviting so didn’t have one.

Rooms good size and clean, bed was comfy and we could see the sea from our window. Room had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and helpful. They had a pool which was a good size and we even found a steam room which we used and was awesome.

They need to have a couple of updates. The men couldn't watch football because BBC 1 wasn't available on the TVs and signal on the TVs was patchy.

Great value for money. Good WiFi, quick check in. Staff are amazing. Sleep quality excellent. Food 10/10. Overall a great hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times, but i felt the need to write a review as it seems people are moving towards these big corporate hotels rather than the small independents. Firstly great check in. WiFi good, and off street parking. Rooms clean, fluffy towels. Good water pressure, and a decent night's sleep. We were at the back of the hotel and had the window open with very little noise throughout the night. My breakfast was scrambled eggs, with smoked salmon and a latte. Beautifully presented, done how I like, tasted great. All in all, swerve the big places with their soulless rooms, and try a trip back to how hotels used to be. 10/10 from me xx

the Swimming Pool not able to use as not suitable for Elderly or Disabled we also found out that the Hotel I s up for sale at £100,000,000 so there will be No Refurbishments the brothers don't want to sell but the Grandparents do. so 35 people will Lose their Job's

The room was in a desperate need of upgrading no black out curtains, external flood light outside the window was disturbing, was kept awake by people using the lift

Lovely welcome with early parking all complimentary as there was space. Bar area clean and fresh. Room was fine for our short stay, no noise and beds comfy. Good breakfast and pool area was great and had fun.

The location was exactly what we needed. Close to the beach and main attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The pool was amazing and the staff were so friendly
