V nice room and great staff. Super breakfast
Slightly noisy with folks returning from the harbour after midnight
Not for us
No parking available took 1 hour to find street parking
Good location . Friendly staff. Lovely communal areas and comfortable rooms.
Nice breakfast, good location and the bar and waiting area lovely decor.
Room was disappointing. Bed was not made up to a high standard at all. The sheets looked thrown on and the room was not very clean. The amount of dust on the glass table was not just from previous guests, it was a big build up of dust going back weeks/months.
The hotel location.
The sofa/ couch was terribly uncomfortable
Lovely staff food was excellent and the bedroom was clean and comfortable will visit again the town is a lovely place
Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Reception staff are lovely. Beautiful lobby, bar and breakfast area, the decor is really beautiful.
Our room was noisy with fan outside the room at night. The curtain by the bed was broken. The curtain in the bathroom doesn’t work so no privacy using the toilet. Some stains on the long pillows. The table is the room is beautiful but need sanding and varnishing. Just needs a bit of TLC. The beds were tiny so difficult to sleep in. Breakfast is not good enough for the type of hotel and it’s a shame. It should match the experience of eating in beautiful surroundings. Cereals were mini boxes, looked cheap, pastries were in plastic wrappers should be fresh baked and have a nicer selection. Very limited selection of fruit and toppings, juices containers should be bigger to take the pressure of the staff having to fill up constantly.bread selection was terrible no soda Bread cheap whole meal sliced pan and white bread only for toast. The cooked breakfast is very mediocre. There should be someone just based doing the coffee the two girls taking the orders were under pressure making coffees and that left the people frustrated sitting waiting to be served. It’s not fair on the girls. Someone should be allocated to the hot drinks orders and then allocated people looking after food orders. The staffed looked very stressed. I would like to stay here again because it’s a great location and staff are lovely. Hopefully they invest in their rooms a bit more and rethink the breakfast selections and organisation.
Location. Management. Food.
Value. Cleanliness. Old, dusty, broken this, broken that… The bed was nearly unmade/unkempt. I found a used plastic toothpick/flosser in the chair. Approaching gross.
Excellent location Close to train and lots of restaurants Excellent breakfast Front desk and waiting room staff are very nice and welcoming Decor is fabulous
Email from hotel requesting credit card details prior to arrival. With so many scams nowadays I didn’t feel comfortable with this
We had a great welcome on arrival and Michelle at reception was so helpful. She even tried her best to upgrade us but I’d say we arrived too late! Room was recently renovated and lovely colour scheme and bathroom/ shower was fab. We had a nice breakfast each morning and parking was free close by. Lovely spot!
Bed was a little small but we had been warned of this on arrival.. rooms can be quite hot but it wasn’t too bad.
This booking was made through Booking.com as Hotel site had no availability. Greeting on arrival just after 3pm was excellent. Sorry can't remember young gentleman's name. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Location good. Close to shops and short walk to beach. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Young Lady, Rae, in restaurant and at bar was especially warm and welcoming when serving. Michelle at Reception on checkout was also very nice. Evening meal in restaurant was also very good. Restaurant special 3 course for £40 per person did not match up to ordering courses individually. Nothing matched up to £40 so why make it look like an offer? Reception area decor is stunning as is the seating area although the step from reception desk to seating could be highlighted more as easy to overlook and trip down the step to next level.
Firstly, not happy at all with Booking.com. The site used a front facing, bay window photo to advertise this double room booking. As we have stayed in such a room in the past (before Marine & Lawn took over) with a double bed we did not think to query it. Also we did notice "Beach facing" on their advert. It would be a miracle to see the beach even from a front facing room at this hotel but we overlooked this, obviously should not have done so. I bet we do not get a reply on any of above comments. Plus on looking back at the confirmation from Booking.com I now see a very small picture of the actual room we had. Does this justify drawing potential customers into booking by showing a bay window room? bordering on trading standards but covering themselves with the small picture. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Location good. Close to shops and short walk to beach. Room not what we expected at all. Small, facing to back of hotel. Dark blues and greens (noramlly I love blues & greens) colour scheme just too much for a small area. No air conditioning (at checkout we were advised we should have been told at check in that there was a fan in wardrobe. Very few power points. Tea tray on top shelf in wardrobe, not very accessible. Only 3 coat hangers, 2 of which had the metal clips which were useless for fine dresses, tops etc. Overall very disappointing apart from the staff who were all lovely and very helpful. Evening meal in restaurant was also very good. Restaurant special 3 course for £40 per person did not match up to ordering courses individually. Nothing matched up to £40 so why make it look like an offer? (When we queried if the steak for £38 was included, we were advised it would be another £15, still better ordering individual courses).
The location was very handy.
The food was over cooked for breakfast and dinner. The room was very dark, the view of the roof fans was unpleasant and loud. The room was very dusty and the two cups one was cracked . There was 2 bath towels in the room for four people staying in it. I wouldn’t recommend.
The Manager Jordan and Aidan were very professional, kind and courteous during our stay. They made is a very pleasant stay. The rooms were Spotlessly clean and breakfast was superb.
Location was perfect.Aidan on reception was very nice very helpful.breakfast was lovely.very clean hotel loved the decor.parking was a bit of an issue .purpose of our stay was celebrating our wedding anniversary.we stayed 2 nights we had booked extras like the afternoon tea which we cancelled our selves due to the time frame as we had alot planned to do.we also got late check check which was great.we also requested a bottle of champagne which when we got to our room was not there so i asked at reception and was told oh we over looked it so i just cancelled it was not impresed it was over looked. Also we left sunday around 12 30 to explore portrush arrived back at 6.30pm to our room which had not been serviced no clean towels,no loo roll and both bins full had to ring down to reception to get towels and loo roll very disappointed our room was not serviced.we stayed in rm 209 which is out the back of the hotel found the room very warm the fan did not do much could not leave the window opened as it was very noisy in the morning times.
Breakfast good. Staff very helpful. Location good. Bathroom excellent
Very very small room and double bed hardly big enough for two. Noisy boiler outside. Parking difficult. No kettle in bedroom.
The location was very good. Beautiful decor. Staff very helpful and friendly
The only thing it was awkward, no hotel parking. On the street always packed
Very clean. Very stylish place. Adian and Charlie where Very nice guys. All the staff.
The bed was comfortable
No car park & food wasn't great
Breakfast was lovely, all staff members were so helpful and friendly. The location was amazing, just a 2 minute walk to the beach, pubs and restaurants are all close by. Guy on reception was lovely, and gave great restaurant recommendations!
Nothing.
Fantastic 3 night break in the Adelphi . Location is perfect , a great base for visiting Giants Causeway , Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and a short drive to visit Derry city . The hotels decor is stunning with great food and drink . The highlight of our stay was the amazing staff . Aiden on the front desk and Albie in the bar were so helpful. All the staff made sure our stay was enjoyable- thank you all.
We stayed here for the beginning of our wedding and absolutely loved it! It provided the quite serene stay we were hoping before before friends and family all flew in. The staff was amazing and the hotel was perfect. Thank you so much - especially Aiden - thank you!!
Our group of 8 golfers had a wonderful 5 nights at the Portrush Adelphi. This is a charming hotel in a wonderful town. The hotel is perfectly located, it's walking distance to beaches, pubs, restaurants, and more, with easy access to the multiple world-class golf courses in the nearby vicinity. The staff were incredibly welcoming and truly added to our experience. I hope I stay here again someday!
Location
Room was noisy at times due to be located directed beside external fans . Didn’t sleep very well .
We were able to get in on a lay minute booking. The staff was quick to make sure our room was set up and good to go and made us feel welcome.
Having to sleep with the windows open due to the lack of air conditioning was only an issue because the hotel is on a busy road with quite a few pubs and our room was above the entrance to the hotel. So we heard all the pub patrons coming and going.
This is a really excellent hotel and a brilliant addition to the hospitality scene in Portrush. I had dinner here last night with my son for about the second time in roughly three months and it was amazing and somehow even better than before. The Guinness was some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere (including Dublin) and the food and service was exceptional. I just wish I knew the name of the main guy who served us because he’s a credit to his profession. I’ll be back.
The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable- staff were all lovely - very thoughtful and a pleasure to engage with. We were very well looked after.
The location was excellent. Lovely lounge area
The room allocated was very warm.
The room was very nice, the bathroom was exceptional, especially the huge shower. The room has everything you need and is attractive.
The blinds in the sitting room could not be raised. They are not that type and they gave to be rolled up and stuck on top of the windows. The motorcycles and street racer boys were extremely noisy at night. That made it hard to sleep. The town should have a noise ordinance after a certain hour.
Cama cómoda Cuarto con espacio Personal recepción muy amable
Personal del desayuno muy estricto Ruido de la calle el fin de semana Algunos detalles en pasillos y entrada al hotel
Our room was very spacious, and in the perfect location. We were fortunate to receive a. Upgrade from a standard double and enjoyed the additional spaciousness. We also received a welcome pack which was a lovely touch. The staff were incredibly helpful. We had a lovely stay.
Aidan (Aydan) however it is spelt! Man is a hero! Very accommodating right from the get go! So welcoming and had a great laugh and chat with him even from checking in. Very professional and approachable. Inductions to the hotel were spot on and very informative! Upon our departure he was happy to hold our bags in storage, offered to assist us with carrying our bags out and very informative with the area as it's been years from we visited there! Aidan is exactly what you'd expect in every hotel staff and is very attentive to any need a customer may have. Food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very classy! Staff in the restaurant were more than accommodating and food was delivered so swiftly but with absolute perfection in quality. Room was lovely and we only noticed the fan as we were leaving so heads up for any customer who need an alternative to AC! Many thanks to everyone there and many thanks to Aidan for his customer service. It's impeccable!
Beautiful setting. Great service from George and Annie. Lovely food.
Great location, friendly staff good breakfast.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean.
Staff talked alot behind the bar/front of house about problems and personal stuff about fellow staff members, problems, etc. Not professional and was easily heard by customers. The hotel lacked the luxuries I would expect for nearly £450 for two nights. Expected more for the price!
Location was great but lack of parking could be an issue in peak season. Great decor and rooms a good size with good facilities. Value is an issue - graet fot a US Golf package not a UK tourist. Service at both breakfast and Dinner was goos and speedy. The food was very good. Reception staff very helpful.
Great experience in Northern Ireland. Charming small hotel in downtown. Would recommend anyone to stay here if you are in the areal
Excellent hotel, with Excellent facilities in an excellent location.
Nothing
The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The food was very enjoyable. The wee compliementary gifts were great.
The view.
A fantastic stay from start to finish. The location is excellent, and the room felt beautifully opulent with a comfortable bed and a stunning bathroom featuring a great shower. The hotel is genuinely dog friendly, which made the trip even better. Staff were warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail really stood out. Highly recommend
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Dinner was great and reasonably priced, and we enjoyed our cocktails.
The WIFI stopped working at night which meant that the TV didn’t work. Very disappointing. They need to sort that out as the mobile phone service is pretty much non existent in this part of Portrush.
Great facility for a golf trip. Staff were top notch and service was excellent. Food and drink including dinner was terrific.
We decided to try the Adelphi for lunch as it was my daughter's birthday. We assumed from the website information that there would be main courses served as well as a sandwich option . However, when we arrived we were told that it was a sandwich menu only. So, we ordered steak sandwiches. What a disappointment when they arrived - two pieces of sourdough with some strips of steak in between, no garnish of any kind, not even a few crisps! The bread was burnt and impossible to cut with a knife. I spoke to the waiter who could not have been more understanding and he sent for the manager. She too was very courteous and apologetic when she saw the meals. She agreed to adjust the bill. I explained that I thought for £18 per sandwich this was unacceptable. The hotel is beautifully presented and the staff are most pleasant. What a pity about the food. I also must add that we paid £24 for two glasses of red wine. Surely these prices are too high?
Great location.Clean, tidy, staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much of a problem for them.Hotel itself was excellent and would highly recommend.Food was lovely, couldn't fault it.Will definitely be back.Thank you so much😊
Nothing
The staff were very helpful throughout our stay, and the place itself was lovely. Clean, comfortable, and welcoming — we really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.
Can't complain
The hotel, rooms and overall ambience was high quality and traditional. The rooms, in particular the bathroom and bed were top notch. The staff we super helpful and a "shout out" to Mark, even though it was very busy he was very visible and kept the place running smoothly.
Cooked breakfast was basic, just fried, didn't feel like there as much local produce in it. The cold selection was perfect though.
The service was excellent from the minute we check-in through daily breakfast and bar service. The lobby, bar area and restaurant were well done and very comfortable. The rooms are updated and have some modern amenities, but many of them (based on our group of 8) are very small and have limited or no outside light.
The tiny lobby was beautiful and thats the only good thing i have to say
family room was not good at all!big room tiny beds. so uncomfortale. sheets were terrible. upon arrival - not enough towels . . per person. water in the shower were not hot enough. no toielt paper at all . terrible breakfest. fridge not working
Stand out spot for North Coast area. The make over to to the hotel is fantastic, it has been carried out to a very high standard. Staff are friendly. The food is fabulous. Our room had view to sea to front and and views of coast.
Friendly staff , good food and nice room. We would recommend this hotel for all of the above and more . Location good parking available we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were supposed to stay in the sister hotel of this place, the Portrush Atlantic hotel, on a Wowcher deal, but found that was closed for refurbishment, unbeknown to us. Bad start. We were given room 405, a room at the back of the hotel. No sea rooms available, surprise surprise. Nice enough room with super large room and large ensuite with walk in shower. Nice retro decoration. Unfortunately there was a loud, annoying, droning noise from outside the room that would have kept us awake at night. We complained. Got moved to another rear facing room, 407. Still a noise from outside but not as loud. A smaller room without the walk in shower, but still nicely decorated. See pic for view from room! Went for a drink in the bar- £12 for a large rose wine! I had a bottle of cider. I noticed the one that was picked by the barman had some missing out of the bottle, for some reason. Looked as if it had been opened then resealed. So I declined that one! Also our deal is to include a glass of prosecco each, but the bar man said they couldn't give us that? Nice enough breakfast although the little round table wasnt big enough to hold all the crockery and other stuff. All in all, it was an average stay, definitely ruined by the loud noise at the back of the hotel. Whilst later browsing hotel prices in Portrush, I came across prices for the Adelphi, with a sample double room staring around £280! I could not believe that. There is no way I would have paid that. I have stayed in 5 star hotels priced considerably less than that in the past. Do not know how that level of pricing could be justified. I was so glad that I had been staying on a Wowcher deal, at a fraction of their advertised prices!
Perfect location. Staff were amazing, very professional, friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was superb both quality and quantity.
Surprisingly, there is nothing I can say I didn’t like about the hotel.
Location and staff were very friendly
Excellent Hotel stay. Beautiful food and great service in the Red Sail Room Restaurant. Staff in the Hotel are so friendly. I would definitely stay again.
Great hotel and lovely food and staff. Hotel totally refurbished with a traditional feel and quality. Highly recommended.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Great location. Amazing food. Fantastic friendly and professional staff. Luxury and comfort throughout
We really couldn’t fault our stay at the Portrush Adelphi. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The hotel and our room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We had diner and breakfast in the Red Sail Room. The food was excellent, as was the service.
Lovely staff and great location
lovely atmosphere, decor and ambience. Very good restaurant. Staff excellent. The lounge areas were amazing very restful.
I was moved to this hotel from the Atlantic Portrush due to refurbishments and was very happy with the upgrade. Whole hotel was clean and tasteful with friendly receptionist and staff.
The staff were very helpful and friendly
There was a lot of outdoor noise
Warm and cosy - decor was stunning and staff so friendly.
Our bedroom was a bit on the small side
Room ok, no a/c. Not as clean as would be expected for a so called 5* hotel. Breakfast poor , service average. Overpriced to say the least. A single bacardi £7 . Didn't eat in the restaurant as menu didn’t look good.
We had 2 breakfasts during our stay. On day one the fries, large and small we're both very greasy and barely warm. We said nothing and agreed on day day 2 we take a safer option of scrambled eggs and toast. However when we were served there was a dollop of burned scrambled eggs on cold plates. Toast consisted of 3 rounds between two us. I have attached pictures of served eggs and also burned areas. My wife's looks like its got brown sauce on hers but it's burned egg. We did speak to a manager who was very helpful and wanted to replace our breakfast, however we're really pushed for time and refused him. The receptionist lady was very helpful and asked about our stay, she apologized when we told her. Hopefully this will help better the breakfast experience for others, we were going to book for dinner on day one but based on breakfast we dined elsewhere. Considering the cost of this hotel for stays it really should be better, 4 of us cant be wrong. considering the quality of rooms and staff this issue really lets it down. we have stayed nearby in Elephant rock hotel and difference was palpable.
Lovely rooms and hotel in general
Very disappointed with dinner and had to wait along time for breakfast to be served. Asked for toast several times, never arrived
Beautiful room and breakfast was excellent. Bar and restaurant area was really lovely.
Some street noise at night
My daughter treated me to afternoon tea for Mother’s Day .I love an afternoon tea so I have had a few, start with the positives the setting was lovely the red sail room it was well decorated and relaxing. The sandwiches were well filled. They didn’t ask us if there were any fillings we didn’t like so two of us didn’t eat them all. My daughter had ordered a vegetarian option they didn’t check this and gave her the main option and it had to be changed with only one sandwich option . The scone was pre buttered and the other half had jam and cream on it so no option to add what you liked. The pastries were small and looked nice but had very little taste to them they were frozen ones . We had to ask for our Prosecco and a top up of tea so over all a bit disappointing . They could improve this with more savoury options and more attention to detail.
This hotel is first class. The staff are unbelievably good. Michelle on reception is fantastic at her job, remembered us from a previous visit. Alex on breakfast even remembered my breakfast preferences. It’s the small details like this that will make customers return time and time again. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough ten out of ten!!
Lovely large room with a sea view.
A bit noisy on Monday morning as it is close to main street
Cant wait to come back, Michelle you are a legend!! Thank you so much for not only being a great receptionist, but for making us giggle on what was such a sorrowful day for us. Thankyou.
The decor. The location
Nothing
Was impressed with the refurbishment. Staff were really helpful but there is a major problem with the functionality of the hotel. Can’t quite pin point it eg my meal was tasteless no flavour. No one asked did we need anymore drinks. Water bottles in the room were opened by previous guests. Maybe the owner needs to employ more qualified staff and if they want to keep the doors open they need to bring price down.
All ok
Comfortable room . Stylish decor.
Food and service at breakfast was mediocre.
The Hotel is beautiful, friendly staff and excellent food.
The bed in room 409 was tiny I'm not sure if they are all like that or because our room was quite small but I wouldn't want to stay in the same room again because of this.... if it wasn't for the bed being so small it would have been a 10/10 stay.
Felt luxurious, staff were incredibly helpful
Great location, clean room, friendly staff , thanks for complementary stuff
Very small space for clothes, lack of light beside wardrobe
Had an amazing stay at the Adelphi. Top class service. Great location and rooms are absolutely perfect. Will definitely book a return visit.
Excellent hotel, would strongly recommend it, the staff are amazing. The room was of an excellent standard , as was the food
This hotel is absolutely superb.jo on reception who checked us In did a great job....slight hiccup but she had it sorted in minutes and excelled herself with the room we got..The breakfast was absolutely lovely and the servers did a great job ...Highly recommended..A++++..
We had the pleasure of staying at the Adelphi Hotel in Portrush tonight, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Joan at reception for her warm welcome, Molly for her attentive service in the restaurant, Donal for his professionalism as restaurant supervisor, and Jason for taking such great care of us at the bar. The level of service we received was exceptional, and we felt genuinely well looked after throughout our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Adelphi Hotel to anyone visiting Portrush and look forward to returning in the future. Catriona- Expand Your Memories 💖
If you're planning a stay in Portrush, I honestly can’t recommend Adelphi Portrush highly enough. From the moment you walk through the doors, we were greeted by Joan with genuine warmth and professionalism that instantly set the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed — spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a perfect blend of modern comfort and classic charm. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night’s sleep, and the attention to detail throughout the room really stands out. Everything feels well cared for and high quality. The food, served by the lovely Molly, is another highlight. It was fresh, generous, and delicious, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The cocktail bar is also well worth a visit, offering a great atmosphere and expertly mixed drinks by br person, Jason. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Situated in the heart of Portrush, you’re just a short stroll from the beach, harbour, shops, and restaurants — yet the hotel still feels calm and welcoming and really cosy. Nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant manager, Dónal. What truly makes the Adelphi special, though, is the staff. Every team member goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel valued and looked after. We’ll absolutely be returning — a five-star experience from start to finish.
Nice hotel and staff but found it incredible this hotel claims 5 stars!! The overpriced food certainly isn't five star standard, it's tasty and well cooked but not worthy of the price charged. The refurbishment is very nice but the small lounge in front of reception was cordinded off, there didn't seem to be a lounge available for guests. Wouldn't return!!
Lovely hotel will definitely be back to stay.
Well located hotel, a short walk to the seafront. Check in was fast and efficient, the lovely receptionist was very friendly and greeted my dog by name. Bedroom was very nicely decorated, as was the bathroom. Ceramic bowls and a very comfortable bed were left for the dog. Mini gin, free chocolate, water and tea/coffee and a mini bar that you could pay for items. You also got a voucher for 2 free drinks in the bar. We ate in the bar area as dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant however, it was the same menu. Dinner and breakfast were both lovely. All staff were fantastic, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I would certainly visit again if staying in Portrush.
Breakfast was exceptional. Staff also. Weather was not good but hotel made up for that.
Absolutely nothing. If I had to find something. Room was a Lytton warm during the night.
Hotel is lovely, staff are amazing. Food is bland and needs work, heavily influenced by italians cuisine and doesn’t work for the area or the amazing local produce available
Disappointing stay here. First visit since the refurbishment / takeover by Marine and Lawn. Reception was friendly and was able to check in early, which was appreciated. We had a drink at the bar and the staff behind the bar were excellent and the cocktail my wife got was great. Beer selection is pretty poor. The room was pretty small and no view, we went for an entry level room so this was expected - but the bed was very small (felt smaller than a double) and it was really not comfortable at all. One of the worst hotel beds i’ve slept in. Where things went really wrong, was breakfast. On arrival we were shown to our table, the waitress then disappeared. 10 Minutes later they came back and asked if we wanted tea, by this point we were ready to place our order for food aswell. Food came, the tea didn’t - when I had to remind her she muttered under her breath and then went and got it. No apology. The food wasn’t great when it came either. Now - the thing that pisses me off the most is that everyone else was getting a different service to what we got. I saw other groups be seated, told about the menu, explained that juice is available - and also provided with a tower of what I assume was scones and biscuits. We got absolutely none of that. The girl working in there is absolutely miles off being at a standard of even working in a customer service role at Asda, let alone in hospitality. I seriously cannot get my head around how it is acceptable to be in a service role when you are unable to provide any level of customer service. So yeah - unfortunately my first time back here will probably be the last. I paid about £190 for the room including breakfast and it isn’t worth that. And by this hotels pricing over a weekend that is pretty cheap. I recently tried the Hilton, which was far better than the Adelphi - but I also look forward to heading back to the Atlantic and trying there. Apologies to the staff at the hotel that do try hard and do a good job - but unfortunately overall the hotel is just miles off what they think they are and can charge for.
My husband and I visit portrush quite a bit and have stayed in the aldephi pre refurb, this was our first time staying here since they’ve refurbed and tbh I don’t think we would stay again unless no other options. There are hotels near by if definitely recommend more such as the Marcus, the bank apartments, Atlantic and the port. Check in was great - friendly and quick. Our room was fine, but the bed was very small and not the most comfortable. Nice little touches with some chocolate and gins. The blanket on the bed was very cosy. Nice enough room and had everything we needed! Clean and big enough. What let us down was the breakfast, the girl couldn’t be more unwelcoming - brought us to our table and didn’t ask us if we wanted any tea or coffee but asked every other table, also every other table got brought out some jams and pastries etc and our table didn’t. When we did eventually get our tea there was no spoons to stir the tea… just not great and a bit poor unfortunately. Dog friendly hotel so was lovely seeing all the little dogs :) Bar is lovely and much better than it was before the refurb, nice cocktails. The barman, didn’t catch his name, was lovely.
We had a fab weekend, Della (our lil dog) really chilled out 😁. Della was not allowed in the dining room so we were set up in the bar for breakfast and dinner which was perfect. Big thanks to Michelle, Abbey, Emma, Jordan and Ivor for their assistance, service, and friendliness while we were there. The rooms were beautiful, and they provided a big bed and bowls.
A beautiful hotel in the heart of Portrush well worth a visit. It’s our first time back since the take over and refurb. We will definitely be back, the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Lovely decorated and cosy hotel. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Nice bar with great cocktails. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and I’ve stayed in lots of 4 and 5 star hotel. Will definitely be back.
Lovely decor throughout, bedroom was spacious and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was exceptional and staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Upkeep / maintenance - we paid (a not unsubstantial amount) for a one night stay with room upgrade only to find that the windows in our street facing room did not seal properly. Consequently on the windy night that it was, we had a considerably cold draft blowing in from outside, causing the window blinds to rattle, not to mention all the street noise from the Main Street late night revellers.
Location is great, right in the heart of Portrush on the Main street, within easy walking access to everything.
The room was a little dark even with the lights on, but thats a very small thing, There is no car park (that we seen) so a little walking was involved, but again we didn't mind.
Lovely room
