The great hospitality. Room service was great. Loved the room. Pool beach. Wonderful service. Kind and caring.

The water pressure. The toilet didn’t flush good. Carpet smelled like stinky feet. Bristol. And privacy.

Very nice place, convenient for a total beach vacation. Very clean with a friendly staff. Gulf view was beautiful.

Beds were comfortable but padding or mattress protection made them hot. We woke up drenched in sweat with the air set to 67. Pillows were completely flat for a side sleeper they were horrible.

I loved that every room of this hotel had an ocean front view. The rooms were beautifully decorated and beds were very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and always ready to serve the guests.

Rooms are run down. Oceanview balcony very small. Ac exhaust blows right on you so you can’t sit outside. Widow for view was fogged up inside the window panels so it couldn’t be cleaned. Overall value poor. Much better places to stay for the money.

We love this hotel; we have stayed here the last few years. We love the renovations they have done!

Hotel is in a great location. The room was spacious. Beds were very comfortable. The balcony is a good size to enjoy morning coffee or admire the beach. On site restaurant offered reasonable lunch and dinner options. Service was great! The pool was nice and direct beachfront was top notch. The site does not have a hot tub. There is no fee for parking. We really enjoyed our quick getaway and plan to return in a few weeks!

Our sixth year at the Island House Orange Beach. Always been a wonderful experience. Orlando takes wonderful care of the property and pool. Since our stay last year they have upgraded the beds and televisions (customized with your name displayed on arrival). Your streaming services work on the TV's with auto logout on checkout. During our stay all of the furniture in the public areas was upgraded/replaced in one day. Good Lord willing we will be back next year!!

This Hotel is on the beach and has a nice pool. Every room has a balcony looking out at the beach, which is great! All of the staff were helpful and extremely nice! The restaurant inside the hotel has the best Chicken Tenders I have ever eaten and the burgers and fries were very good also. The room felt and looked clean, beds were comfortable. Free parking

Great hotel with nice balconies, views, and beach access. The rooms are nice for the price. However, let me just warn you that the walls are PAPER THIN. I could hear every single conversation our neighbors had the entire trip.

We had the penthouse suite. It was NOT what I’m used to..,.The pool looked like it needed an extra splash of chlorine 🙄 basically no food worth eating in the cafe area… wouldn’t go back.

For our first visit to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores we booked the Island House Hotel. Several aspects of our visit stand out: ALL the staff were super friendly, (special callout to Hilary in the restaurant), the location of the hotel, the quality of the food and drinks, and every room has a proper Gulf view. The hotel is located near several excellent restaurants and its location on Perdido Key and the beach offers a more intimate and relaxed experience. While the hotel is clearly an older hotel, it has been refreshed.

This was our second stay at DoubleTree Island House in Orange Beach, and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff and bartenders were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the Gulf-front balcony views were simply spectacular. There’s nothing quite like starting the day with a cup of coffee while overlooking the ocean. The food and drinks were excellent (thanks Heather) and the location is hard to beat—close to everything Orange Beach has to offer while still maintaining a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. One of the things we appreciate most is that it feels much more quaint and personal than staying in one of the massive high-rise condo towers. It offers all the convenience without the crowds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable beachfront getaway with great service, great food, and incredible views.

Pool too small for size of hotel Front desk staff not knowlegable.price too high for a hotel with no concierge or bell hop. Pizza from restruant was not good.

The staff was awesome! Elijah at check in was so helpful and Marshall at the bar was great and had great recommendations! Rooms were clean and even though we came on a cloudy, rainy weekend we still had a blast because the pool was heated up everyday!

We loved everything!!! BOOK this hotel for your vacation. I know this is an odd like but I notice little things and touches. They had this wonderful smell piped through their hallways and the lotion and soap in the hotel was divine!! It's so pretty there even down to their landscaping. LOVE LOVE LOVE

The room was a bit small for the price, but my family loved the beds and how comfortable they were. I need something a bit more firm. Staff was amazing though

Beautiful hotel with views of The Gulf in every room. Our room had views from both sides which were stunning. Large comfortable beds and a heated pool to sunbathe around. Easy short walk to the beach with fine white sand. A perfect 5 night break after Southern road trip.

Not the hotels fault, but be prepared to Uber to bars and restaurants as no pathways to walk along. Had to wait a while for lifts as one was out of order.

Our experience at the resort fell short of expectations. We had reserved the top floor Penthouse corner unit, but upon arrival, we were informed that our room was ready and directed to room 1004, which was not the corner suite as booked. Additionally, the blinds in the room were malfunctioning and would not lift. When we inquired about the issue, the staff claimed that management had changed due to suite renovations. I had to wait in room 1004 for 25 minutes for maintenance to arrive. The room was small, with broken power shades, making it feel cramped. I decided to walk the hall and found the maid cleaning the corner suite. I asked her if the suites were being renovated, and she replied that they were not, merely being cleaned. I took a picture of the room being cleaned and sent it to Hilton's email address. Within five minutes, we were given the corner suite we had originally booked, which was not even the unit the maid was cleaning, indicating that all suites were available with no renovations underway. The suite was beautiful, but the experience was marred by the staff's dishonesty. We were charged for a corner suite but were initially given a smaller room, which is unacceptable. I am disappointed with the resort's staff and their questionable practices. If any room needed renovation, it was the room they initially assigned us, 1004, with the broken blinds. This trip was particularly significant for my friend, who had experienced a challenging year, and for the staff to treat her in such a manner was disappointing. I have attempted to contact Hilton, but they continue to redirect me to the resort, where I am met with further dishonesty.

The only thing I would add to the room is more extra seating like a recliner. I have trouble laying in a bed so that would be a wonderful addition!

Le manque de qualité pour un quatre étoiles. Le manque de qualité des choses fournies dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner qui est juste une blague pour un quatre étoiles. La jeune femme du Check out qui était désinvolte, qui a fait semblant de rien comprendre ce qui m’a obligé à faire ma réunion avec mon employeur en France dans mon truck.

Pluses: All rooms are gulf front. Parking was both free and easy to find. Although we were in the middle of the floor, we never heard noise from the elevators. Cons: Even after servicing by hotel staff, it took two flushes to down a single square of toilet paper, much less "other" things. My guess is that the gallons per flush is set way too low. The window has a wonderful view of the gulf that is hampered by the window being cloudy due to having lost its seal. My wife noticed that the room didn't contain a full length mirror and found that very unusual. The TV is not a smart TV, which is really weird in 2026. You can't use it to log on to Netflix, etc. You will want to bring a streaming stick for that. We don't remember these cons from when we stayed here last August so maybe it was just our particular room. But even with these cons, we would stay here again if the price is right.

They’re greedy, but we all knew that. Me and my wife made reservations for our vacation. We accidentally chose the wrong week (our fault). Showed up the week prior. The manager had the option to refund us and chose not to because it wasn’t his fault. There’s $1500 down the drain. Because of a simple missclick. So be aware! They will not help you or try to make things right.

Met my expectations in terms of beach location and amenities. Great value for price paid. Loved having guaranteed balcony view of the Gulf and option of pool or beach, plus convenience of Starbucks coffee, dining, and bar on property. Beds were comfortable and hotel was quiet for the most part. Exercise room had everything you need for a decent workout off the beach. I say “ off the beach” because let’s be honest, walking the sandy beach is plenty of leg & cardio for most of us. Only downside has nothing to do with the hotel. Orange Beach is not pedestrian friendly if you choose to walk to restaurants, etc which is a shame because there are really good restaurants, donut shop and ice cream across the street. We did it anyway, but was tricky crossing the busy street (no cross walks nearby). We often walked the bike lane to a restaurant and then walked the beach back to the hotel to get away from the speeding cars and occasional immature jerks who yelled out their car windows or honked.

Kids really enjoyed the room so much that we stayed an extra day. Spring break was an success!
